Hey Clean & Tidiers!! Hope your Sunday is going well!
As for grocery shopping, I usually hit Super Wal*mart once or twice a week. I usually go to Sam's club about every 3 weeks for larger bulk items and will stock up on their fruits & veggies as they have a good selection there too. Then I might go to Kroger or another store that is having sales or double coupons another day during the week. I try to budget shop w/ a family of 5, but it does seem expensive sometimes to eat healthier!
Robin ~ I love Kashi as a snack or lunch sometimes. I don't usually eat it for breakfast unless we're traveling, then I'll measure out my serving in Ziploc baggies so I'm set for breakfast if I don't have any other healthy options. I usually do Kashi Go Lean w/ just a little of the Crunch since it has more calories/ sugar.
Dinner last night was awesome, I got the grilled chicken Cobb salad- lots of veggies w/ chicken, boiled eggs (tried not to eat all of the yokes but did have a little), and topped w/ slivered almonds & bacon (tried not to eat all of the bacon either, but it was gooD!) w/ a vinaigrette (that I asked for on the side & just put a drizzle on top). I didn't eat any of the bread (white Italian) or have any dessert. And 2 good cups of coffee plus 2 cups decaf. I just can't give up coffee, that's for sure!
My day so far...
Liquids ~ 50 oz water, 2 cups of coffee
Breakfast ~ Usual oatmeal + berries (I know, I'm so boring but it's what I love!) and some cantaloupe
Lunch ~ Big salad w/ romaine, broccoli, cauliflower, 3 oz chopped salmon, olive oil & balsamic, 1 T. sunflower seeds
