Clarification re: PS Arms

TarHeelMom

Cathlete
Cathe, in your response to Lily you recommended that she do PS CST and BBA once a week each with medium weight for better arm definition. Why medium weight instead of heavy weight? I would think that medium weight would build endurance rather than mass. Am I confused about that? I'm in the middle of a PS rotation and I've been trying to pyramid up & down as you do on the tapes, using heavy weight that really pushes me at the points in the tapes where you use heavy weight. Are you saying that I should be using less weight on those heaviest points than I use with MIS, for example?

Thanks cutie pie!

Moving this to top

I am moving this to the top because I'd like an answer too. Cathe, what kind of weight range do you mean by "medium weights". Should I use weights that are lighter than those demonstrated by you and the others during the course of the video? TIA

Just asking again...

since it looks like my question might have gotten lost in the shuffle. Cathe, could you take a quick look at my original post? Or anyone else from our educated crowd? Thanks!

Hi Kathy!

Oops, I did seem to lose you in the shuffle.

The reason I recommended medium weight for Lily is because she specifically stated that she did not want to be as cut as me but rather just see some definition. Since the PS Tapes target arms and upper body with quite a bit of intesity, I suggested medium weight rather than heavy weight with the intention that she would get nice definition without too much cut.

Sorry it took me so long to respond.

Thanks Cathe!

Personally, I'm dying for more definition in these almost-middle-aged parts (45 is still JUST on this side of the hill, isn't it???), and -- I'm not ashamed to admit it to this particular crowd -- I believe I'd even agree to commit unnatural acts if it meant I could get to be as cut as you. So I'll stick to the heavier weights for a while longer!

Thanks for the clarification, oh tiny teacher!
