I saw under the vitamin post that dsaxton said she takes cla. Well, I've been taking it too, and like you, dsaxton, I'm wondering if it works. I get mine at Vitamin World and the recommended dosage is 5 per day. When I take 5, I find that I am absolutely starving. I eat about 4 mini meals and one larger meal per day. I usually average 1800-2000 calories on a non cheat day. Now, when I don't take cla, I'm not as hungry. I'd read the original study on cla, and all of the fat loss was based upon 2000+ calories per day, so maybe I need to eat more. I'm not sure if I'm willing (or if my stomach is big enough) to do this with healthy food. I'm just curious about anyone else's experiences. Now, I haven't gained any weight yet either, and I have enjoyed several large, high fat meals on vacation this summer.

I have CLA too, but I had no idea you were supposed to take 5 a day. I thought you just take one. How long have you been taking it? and have you lost any weight taking them. Thanks

I've been taking it since mid-June. My understanding was that CLA was for toning, so you might not lose any weight. You'd just replace fat w/ muscle, which is what I need to do. I think I remember reading that one might actually gain weight when replacing the fat w/ the muscle...I can't remember exactly how much I weighed when I began. I think I've stayed pretty well even, maybe I've dropped a couple of pounds. I just started birth control pills and I'm feeling the effects of estrogen, so it's hard to tell. Anyway, I can't remember the actual study, but I do remember that you had to take quite a bit of CLA to reap the results...
 
I have been taking it about 4 months now. I know you have to take it for awhile before you see results, but I think I have given it a fair shot. I have just bought my last bottle.....
