cirucit max, bootcamp and ctx kickboxing

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to decide on my next cathe purchase and i need a little help. Between circuit max, bootcamp and ctx kickboxing, which one do you like the most and which the least? I know they are all great workouts..:)

That's an absolute toughie, but if I were in your shoes and I could buy only one video (I presume it's a video you're looking at), I'd go with Circuit Max. The cardio intensity is almost unparalleled, it offers total-body resistance cycles as well as a brief core section, and the fun factor is just through the roof. If I don't do C-Max at least 2-3 times a month I get the Code-3 Heebie-Jeebies.

HOWEVER - I also used my beloved Boot Camp DVD at least once a week, AND the CTX Kickbox routine, cardio AND my alltime fave core and ab routine, rock as well.

I'm about as much help as a screen door on a submarine, am I not?

It depends on what you're looking for.

I prefer Bootcamp to Circuit Max because, if you do the workout as produced, you can go pretty heavy with the weights and thus get an efficient weights/cardio workout. I almost always include it in my rotations once a week and count it as a bonus weight session as well as a full cardio. The rep speed of the weight segments in Circuit Max is too fast to go heavy, so I consider this workout cardio with some extra toning benefits.

CTX Kickbox is part of the Cross Train Express Series and has a pretty short cardio segment as well as a weight segment for one body part. (I forget which one.) If you buy the DVD, you'll get the whole CTX series. The cardios are short but intense and you also get a wonderful upper body workout as well as Leaner Legs, which some people here refer to as "Meaner Legs." If you can't get the DVD, this workout would be my last choice of the three you mentioned.

Circuit Max is tough but fun. BC is very tough, alot of variety and well... fun! Don't have CTX, but I love Cardio Kicks and CM and CK are together on a dvd. If your doing dvd, that's a good one to go with.:)
 
I would go with Bootcamp. It's more recent and the weight and core sections are more thorough IMHO. The cardio is high impact in both, but it lasts longer in Circuit Max.
 
I gotta say bootcamp- it's awesome!!! I'd love to see a boot camp series...maybe bootcamp 2-3-4......that would rock

I don't have ctx kickboxing, but one of my all time favourites is definately Circuit Max (just did it this morning again...). The cardio sections are really fun and long enough (I prefer a little longer ones as opposed to short spurts like in Bootcamp)plus it's really tough all over, your heartrate stays up there through the compound weight work. Also, since the cardio switches from hi-lo to kickboxing to step there's variety, so I think it goes by really fast. I do consider it a cardiovascular workout though, as has been noted here.
