Circuit Max, really thorough description needed!

Can someone please give me a really good description of Circuit Max? If you can do a breakdown of the whole workout that would be great!~

Circuit Max consists of 6 cardio+weight cycles in a 5:2 ratio (5 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of weights). After a low-impact warm-up with kickbox elements thrown in and a brief lower body stretch, there are 2 cycles of hi/lo (mostly HI), a third cycle of floor kickbox, a fourth cycle of step-kickbox, and two cycles of traditional step. Each of these cycles is followed up by two minutes of weighted compound exercises that work the legs (via squats, plie squats, lunges and standing knee extensions / flexions) and upper body muscles so that by the end of the sixth cycle you've hit the shoulders, biceps and triceps twice. (Dumbbells are used in Cathe's production, no barbells.) After the sixth cycle, some stand-alone chest and back work is done, followed by some brief core work with static planks. Then a stretch; I've never done the stretch so I can't describe it.

The entire workout as produced is about an hour (I think).

I did this workout yesterday. I hadn't done it in a long time and I always forget what a fantastic workout this is! It gets me every time! You won't be sorry you purchased this - it is a wonderful workout. :)

Circuit Max is one of my top two or three fave workouts ever ever EVER. I normally do the 6 cardio and resistance cycles but substitute barbell squats, plie squats and lunges for the compound upper / lower body weight drills in the workout, to give my legs a better workout AND keep the cardio top-drawer. I like to finish that one off with Cardio Kicks power drills.

Ivorygorgon, Circuit Max is also awesome, IMHO, for the fun factor: fun choreography and WICKED-FUN cueing on Cathe's part. Wait til you hear her say, "You're lookin' good back there, I can hear it!"

Happy spending!

I'm with AJock - CM is one of Cathe's best. I burn more calories per minutes with this than with any other Cathe workout, and what's more - I enjoy the heck out of it. Just when you think you cannot handle any more, you move on to something else. I LOVE this workout.
