Circuit Max & Leaner Legs

Okay, I did this workout for the first time yesterday and I was surprised at how much I liked it. (Why does this ever surprise me with Cathe?? lol) I have been so in love with step lately that it was a nice change-up in cardio, and I was REALLY sweating! For those of you that have both this and BodyMax, how does it compare? (I used it as a sub for BM in this month's rotation.)

Today I did Leaner Legs and while it was tough I was surprised to hear it rated the toughest leg workout (pre-Hard Core, not sure if it's still ranked that way). I find L&G much harder, but maybe that's because there is also floor work. Hmm. Any opinions on that?

I think the cardio portion of your workout was probably similar to Body Max. However, Bodymax has very little leg work--just some short endurance work on each cycle of the interval section, and then a full upper body workout at the end. You did the opposite if I remember correctly--short upper body workout on the circuits and then a heavy duty leg work out with LL. I think LL is hard for me because of all the low ends, which really kill me.

I could not be remembering circuit max very well. I don't do it that often, to be honest.
 
Personally, I find Leaner Legs kind of boring, but I really, really like Legs & Glutes and GS Legs. To me, there's just more variety in the other two. I also like Pyramid Lower Body.

Leaner Legs is boring to you? Gasp!:eek: :eek: :eek: It's still the toughest for me although I admit I use heavier weight than Cathe, since I've had this w/o the longest of all her w/os.

I gotta agree with Marla. I have had LL a long time and I remember that it used to be absolutely grueling.

I have had it back in my weekly rotation for a couple months now and I have had great results, but I have to go quite a bit heavier than Cathe too.

So, if you are thinking it isn't as tough, I would try increasing the weights. I still think it is tougher than L&G, but can't compare it to GS Legs, since that is on my wish list.

I like LL because it does move so fast and the workout is over in a hurry. Actually today is LL day, so I better get moving!

I also find LL boring and not terribly challenging - but I've always just used Cathe's weight and I think almost everyone who really likes it tends to increase weight. Funny how we're all drawn to different things. I do however, love Circuit Max!!! I actually think the cardio in it is a bit toughter than the cardio in BMax. But I find BMax to be more of a sheer endurance workout.
