CIA VIDEOS ?

Hi All,

I am just wondering if anyone has a favourite CIA video that they think is worth getting ? Or any to avoid ?

Thanks

Anna :)

I hear Christy Taylor is very good, although her choreography is difficult. Takes a lot of practice. I would like to try her video as I like complicated routines.

Hi Anna

My favs are the kickboxing ones (but not Keli Roberts' vid I was put off by the gloves).

I have found they are very hit and miss, I love Mindy's Strenght Express and Terri Reeves Bootcamp. Franny Aerobic and step work out are okay but I was put off by the fact that in the step work out it was only Franny I prefer to have additional exercisers in vids.

They are some good workouts often not as intense as Cathe. I have preordered 3 of the tapes due out in March.

Overall I think they are worth getting but if you see one you like just ask here for reviews you will probably get some good feedback.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-11-02 AT 09:29AM (Est)[p]Yeah, CIA is a hit or miss thing because of the various instructors.

I currently use Terri Reeves "Cardio Strike Zone/BootCamp" which I like, don't love, but like.
A hi/lo workout called "Power Aerobics and Power Mat Science" which again is okay, I use the hi/lo often, and rarely do the Mat Science workout (a sort of pilates workout).
A hi/lo by Christy Taylor, "Still Jumpin'" which I really like,
and Mindy Mylrea's "Extreme Intervals and Pump Party" I like a lot as well.

I believe those are all the CIA's I currently have.
I use to have one by Franny B. but gave it away, "Kick-Itt 2000" which was okay in a basement home video type of way, but I outgrew the kickboxing, it wasn't challenging anymore so I gave it away.
Other videos have really made me realize that Cathe puts out a really top notch video! Until I started trying other videos I really didn't appreciate how great Cathe's cueing is, or how professionally done her videos are! There are some that look like somebody's husband shot the video in their basement while the instructor got some family members for background exercisers!

I know Cathe had a CIA video back in the day but have no clue what the # is I think it was with Jay ? can't recall the last name right now.

Somebody help me out here

Hi
I love Powerbar Training,Boxing Body (tko-cia affiliated) Interval Express (jump inc.cia affiliated)& Kick it & Kickbox Express.Cia videos are not great quality however I need a variety.Powerbar training / Boxing Body & Interval Express in my opinion have the intensity of Cathe. In fact I find PowerBar training more difficult than PowerHour.Janis Saffell's kickbox videos are fun but you have to wear the weighted gloves to get the intensity and I use a weighted jump rope for kickbox express & that does the trick.
see you Ki

Does anyone own or have any comments about CIA: Donna Read's "Hi/Lo to the max with athletic jams"? Is it any good?
