Hi everyone! Before I had done Cathe tapes I was doing Reebok and Gilad...Cathe is in a league of her own, no surprise to anyone here:) Anyway, I was leafing thru the Collage magazine the other day and had a question about both CIA videos and Kari Anderson videos. I'm pretty certain neither are as intense as Cathe's but are there any CIA or Kari Anderson videos (just liked the descriptions of these two instructors in particular)that are somewhat comparable? I'm looking for cardio in particular either hi/lo or hi/lo/step combo's. Dare I buy a non-Cathe video??? I feel so guilty, lol....has anyone else out there experienced these crazy feelings??!! :) I'm basically looking for a few intense, non-Cathe videos to incorporate into a rotation ie. a 4-6 week non-Cathe rotation just for variety's sake (although I suspect I'll still do Cathe's strength videos). Thanks for your input!

Hey, I have a recommendation for a non-Cathe step/intervals tape that is super tough that you might like. Mindy Mylrea's Slammin' Sports Cardio is all step related, but she does stepping and these great athletic "drills" using the step that really get the heart racing. She's also a great instructor; super friendly and funny, great comments throughout. It doesn't have hi/lo and the toning at the end is nowhere near Cathe's level. But I think the long cardio portion would challenge just about anyone. She uses a lot of plyometrics, like Cathe, but just in different ways and to develop agility and strength while you work the heart. I love this workout, I throw it in every so often even though I'm a Cathe addict.

Take care!

I agree about Mindy's CIA 2K02 - it is a fun, intense workout and easy to follow. It is definitely my favorite CIA tape and I love intense, tough workouts. I also like CIA 9905 with Franny - it has two workouts - one step and one hi/lo. The choreography is more challenging than Cathe's workouts IMO. I have a tough time with choreography and haven't been able to follow the step portion of 9905 yet.

RE: CIAs

Thanks for the input. I wish the CIA workouts had more names than numbers...all the numbers confuse me, lol!
