Hi Chris! Can I get your educated opinion on something?
You mentioned in another post that Cathe is doing barbell rows in one of the blog pix with about 92 lbs of total weight and that she was using either a Body Pump barbell or a York Lite barbell. I have the York LIte, but noticed that the instructions that came with it said that it had a max load of 80 lbs. I'm not ready for rowing 92 lbs yet, but I've experimented with my 1RM for rows and can happily see that 92 lbs isnt an unrealistic goal for me in the near future. So I'm a little concerned about my bar and wondering if I need to invest in another one that has a heavier weight capacity. Whatcha think? Is the 80-lb max load just a "recommendation" that can be fudged a bit, or would I risk breaking or bending the bar if I eventually loaded the bar heavier than 80 lbs??
Thanks a bunch -- sending ((((hugs)))) to ya!
