I'm repying to *40somethings* post on the *ask Cathe* forum here 'cause I did not want it to get lost in the replies.

This is what you wrote 40something.

I had not done any stepping before I started buying Cathe workouts so I know where you're coming from too. What has worked for me is to keep doing a new workout until I get all the choreo down pat before I move on to another new step workout. When you lose your place during a workout just keep moving in some fashion, marching, grape vine, basic step, whatever...and watch what the crew is doing on the tape and when you can, jump back into the workout.

I am right where you are on this today. I am sitting her totally frustrated, upset wondering how am I going to learn to do these steps. Now I got rhythm but this is not a case of having rhythm. This is a case of it's going to fast, help me hold on.

I agree with the doing one until you learn it. I'm trying to make sure the words I say are positive but good Lord... you all really do learn this>>>>>>>> I'm not loving my step now. I'm going to book mark my on thread so months from now I can say, this is how I felt.

So the DVD goes in slow motion and that's how you learn them? The other day, I just was wanting to throw something to the TV!!!!

I know you've heard this before and it's okay not to respond. I believe some of my anxiety is from working 16 hour shift and being tired beyond what I like.

I just wanted to comment on your reply. And, I'll sit and watch the class again tonight. Thanks for saying how you got over.
