Chocolate silk

Hi!

Has anyone here made a smoothie out of Chocolate Silk Soymilk? If so, would you guys pass on some recipes to me. I tried this stuff and was amazed at how totally yummy it is! For some reason I was expecting it to taste like a protein drink! :)

Thanks!
:)

I use it in my morning smoothie sometimes: Silk chocolate, blueberries, baby spinach. Blend until smooth.

Probably a stupid question, but...I thought that soy was something to avoid...can anyone chime in and help me out?

I avoid isolated and concentrated soy protein. I think regular soy 'foods' in moderation are fine (1-3 servings a day).

I agree wholeheartedly for avoid NON-ORGANIC soy for that reason (organic = no GMO's allowed.;-) )

Kathryn, Not to be overly paranoid, but what about during pregnancy? I should probably ask my midwives...

Thank you Kathryn for the one and only recipe I've gotten so far! LOL! I appreciate it!! Do you think the flavor of the baby spinach is really noticeable?

Nope: You wouldn't even know it's there (I was surprised the first time I tried the concoction---it's based on an idea by Dr. Fuhrman).

I just picked up some 'popsicle' molds, and was contemplating trying to freeze some chocolate Silk (maybe with a bit of banana blended in?) to see if I could make something resembling a fudgesicle (inspired by a previous post by one of the "pixie" sisters, but I can't recall which one, LOL!)

That brings up another 'recipe'(since you don't seem to be getting any other responses!): mix with frozen banana (peel a very ripe banana, break into chunks, put in a freezer bag or other container, and let freeze for at least several hours...these are great to add to any smoothie for sweetness and coldness--I personally never add ice to smoothies, because I think it's a waste of space, and I have many crowns that don't like things too cold!). If you're so inclined, you can add some maca root powder or mesquite root powder, both of which give it a kind of mocha-like flavor.

Another mixture: chocolate Silk and açaí (I use the Sambazon frozen packs, just let them thaw out until soft, but not totally liquid, and mix with the silk).

Thanks again Kathryn! I'm going to tray all of these...I'm loving this stuff. It really curbs a chocolate craving for me too. :)
