That's kinda what I thought the DB floor press was. I would imagine you have less of an opportunity to use any momentum from you shoulders etc too on that move.

I just finished DM cardio blast and am done for the day. Thank goodness!!!
 
Morning Friends,

This morning I did premix from Amy's new ASC III. It was 47 minutes (not including the 12 min preview section I did) and included combos 1,3,4, & 5. I got up a little late and didn't have time to do as much as I wanted, so I thought that premix would be a good jumping off place to start learning the moves. Overall I thought I did pretty well. I didn't get Rumble but now I am reconsidering my decision.
 
Hey ladies!! I was supposed to do Leaner Legs this afternoon. I was so dreading it. So I did 4ds KB with the legs first. I just couldn't stand the thought of the low ends in LL. Then came the low plane lunges in KB :confused: I forgot how much I don't like those either :eek: Oh well at least I got in a workout :cool:

Chinups are on tap for tomorrow.
 
Catherine - That is so funny that you did Meaner Legs today. I did that one yesterday. I haven't done that one in a while. I really need to pull that one out more often because I really like that one - well, you know what I mean - I love/hate that one :)

Nice job on the workout Catherine. It's leg day for me tomorrow. AND I have to start getting up earlier because school starts. I've never done the weight work from 4DS and I've never watched so I don't know what low plane lunges are.:eek: Oh and I think I am going to add some rear delt work to tomorrow workout, really want to make some progress there.

Low plane lunges are hard to describe. You have the highstep topper and one (or maybe 2) risers. you start at the low end of a lunge with the back foot on the step and do very low lunges. Cathe does this with 10 pounds. I could barely make it through with 8s:eek:

Well, DS is off to school and DD starts next Tuesday! Right now DS is at school and DD is napping, sure is quiet!:D Had an early doctor's appointment this morning. Well, today was the first leg day in this rotation and you know you are in trouble when your hammies hurt by the end of it. Took all I had to go ahead and do the cardio portion. :p

DB Squats
8/8/8 - 52's **Do not like to do squats w/ DB, they get in my way and are hard to keep holding, will switch to BB next time.
1 Arm Overhead Press
8/8/8 - 31's**Started first set with 32's but wasn't happen so dropped to 31 mid way, amazing the difference 1# makes w/ shoulders**

Superset B
DB Reverse Lunge
6/6/6 - 42's
BSS
12/12/12 - 30's
***arms were shaking by the end of this superset from holding the DB even with my versagripps, was also huffing and puffing through this one, I hate BSS's**

Superset C

Then cardio at a 60/60 ration for six rounds using Power ups from ASC. Was going to change up the cardio today but legs were fried and just didn't have it in me. Did add some rear delt work to the warm up, but didn't get to had some sets to the actual workout, ran out of time, but am going to try go back and do them in a little while.

Catherine - Those lunges sound tough, I'll have to watch them.
