Just starting a new thread for us. I will be doing upper body here in a bit. And hopefully some cardio.

Also getting a massage this afternoon. I've been doing these every 2-3weeks and it's really helping workout my lower back issues!!

LOL, me replying to myself!!

W/O is done.

Bench:
Warmup: 45# 8, 75# 6
Working Set: 85# 9,8,8
(same wt as last week, 1 more rep on first set)

Lat Raise: 12# 8,10,10

Skull Crushers: 22.5# 8,8,8
(these were tough, + 1.25# --also SS these with DB Rows)

DB Row: 45# 9,9,8
(+2.5 # from last)

Concentration Curls: 30# did my first set of 7 both arms, did next set of 7 with R arm switched to the L arm and eeked out 4 reps dropped to 27.5# for 4 more, then did 27.5# for 2 more sets of 4 on each arm. My biceps apparently were not cooperating with the higher wt LOL!!

Followed that up with DM cardio blast.

What is everyone else up to today?

Well, for some stupid reason I decided tp have a yard sale this weekend and I have been up since 4:30 am, so I barely remember what I did this morning, it was so long ago.

Superset A
Squats
8/8/8 -110# **went to parallel**
One Arm Shoulder Press
8/8/8 - 25's **did the negative to count of 6, shoulders were burning**

Superset B
Reverse DB Lunge
6/6/6 - 40's ***my versagripps are MIA, had to use stupid hooks:mad::(:mad::(**
BSS
12/12/12 - 25's ***I actually like going lighter here, I feel I have better control and can go deeper:D***

Superset C
One Leg SB Hamstring Curls
8/8/8
Spiderman climbs
12/12/12

Skipped the cardio due to shortage of time and knew I would be bustin' my butt setting up the yard sale.

Catherine - Nice workout!!! Also I am extremely jealous of the massage!!:p:mad::p:mad:
 
Linda, nice job esp on those squats!!! Yard sale eh? I detest yardsales LOL!! I hope it is worth it for you!!

These massages are doing wonderful things for my back. I have another scheduled in 3 weeks. I will make sure I get one at least once a month. But will do them more frequently if I need to :D
 
Sitting here sipping coffee. Will be doing legs in a bit after some breakfast!! I have the house to myself today. Hmmmm, I wonder what I should do??
 
Legs are done!! Pretty pleased with the w/o:

Squats:
Warmup sets: 45# 6 reps, 75# 6 reps
Working sets: 85# 12 reps, 87.5# 2 sets of 10
(85# felt a little to easy, so bumped up 2.5#, but reduced reps)

RDLS:
70# 3 sets of 10
(lightened up on these and did them off a 6" step to go deeper- really felt it)

Pistols:
3 sets of 12
(still holding on for these, but really trying to focus on the legs doing the work)

Followed that up with GSL calf raises and floor work :eek: I really am starting to like this floor routine. It's not like other floor routines with endless sets of donkey kicks and inner and outter thigh work. It really gets in there good!!
 
It's been lonely around here this weekend!! You ladies must be busy chinning :D

I am planning IntervalX+ and Ab/Core+ this morning and will do some pullups later. My legs are a little sore from yesterday. Not to bad, but I hope they cooperate :eek:
 
Did my pullups. Did 4 sets of 5 and 1 set of 6. I am backing off on these a bit due to my shoulder. Will try to work back up to either increasing reps or doing weighted soon.

Good Monday morning ladies!! Today will be BM2 DBL Upper Body. Of course after work :confused: I wish I didn't have to go to work :(

Boy im up early today.. had to drive the bf to the airport.. its so beautiful out I couldn't bear to go back to sleep :)

It was pouring rain yesterday so I did my back workout at home.. no pullups for me :'-(
Instead I did a bunch of things that I dont feel are very effective for me.. BB rows, db rows etc..
Im hoping to get some cardio in today.. I took yesterday as my OFF day as I hurt my HS real bad (I guess) durring fridays training and the pain on them was delayed to just yesterday.. not sure ill be doing anything today as they do not feel ANY better.. prolly go to CVS n' get some epsoms and take some advil or something hee :)

Pebs, hope your HS are better soon!! I think epsom soaks are a good idea!!

I am at work right now. Desperately waiting for the coffee to kick in or the day to be over :confused:

Okay the dreaded yard sale is over. Was not as successful as I would of hope, but at the end we donated all the stuff to breast cancer so it was all gone!!!:D:D:D and I didn't bring anything back home!:D:D:D. Saturday I didn't workout because it was just cardio and I thought I'd be running around at the yard sale enough for the day, besides I wanted the extra sleep (still got up at 5:30am, but at least it wasn't 4:30):p:p:p. Today was upper body and it went like this:

(Still had to keep the weights down due to the shoulder:(:eek::(:eek:)

DB Chest Press
6/6/6 - 30's *** count was up 8 & down 8 -brutal:p***
Rear Delt Raises
10/10/10 - 5's:eek::eek::eek::eek:***count was up 6 & down 6 - shoulders were on fire:D:p:D:p****

Superset B
One Arm Row
6/6/6 - 52's
DB Floor Press
8/8/8 - 35's ***count was up 4, hold 2, down 4 - found that if you come to a complete rest after each rep exercise is very hard because of having to restart the movement:p;):p;)***

Superset C
DB Tricep Ext.
8/8/8 - 20's
Alt. Db Curls
8/8/8 - 23 1/2's

Then lowered the weight and did an extra set of tri ext. & db curls for left arm (trying get it to catch up) using a very slow count for both up & down. Left arm was pumped after that. Then cardio was done at 60/60 ratio for 6 rounds running outside. I think I did the wrong cardio though, half way through I realized it should have been 30/90 ratio. Oh Well!

Catherine - Nice workouts! Sorry you are stuck at work!

Pebs - Hope the HS feel better!

Nice workout. Esp those floor presses with that count :eek:

Catherine - Do you loathe having yard sales or going to them? Or just everything about them in general? How much longer are you stuck at work?

P.S. - It will be interesting to see what kind of results I get with all this slow work.
 
Anything to do with yardsales makes my skin crawl LOL!!

I will be interested in your results from this slow/heavy work myself.

I am at work till 5 :confused::(
 
For me, raising a family of four on one banker's salary is only possible by going to yard sale, unless I wanted to incur some major debt. I love being home with my kids, so suffering through second hand stuff is worth it.
 
My sister gets some awesome buys at yardsales. I think that's great. I never fine anything at yardsales but junk :confused:
 
I guess I have no patience to look through all the stuff to find the bargains. I should have been born rich LOL!!!!
 
I did BM2 DBL UB premix as I said I would. Thing is I had planned to do cardio afterwards. Well, I had some technical difficulties with my DVD player and didn't get to it. I was so angry. I through a big temper tantrum. You should have seen the looks on my dogs faces:confused: Now, I realize in the scheme of things this is a minor issue. But I just get so frustrated when things don't work. I need to work on patience :eek:
