Starting a new thread. I know the title's not very exciting:confused:

Let's see. Catch up time,..... Friday I did B&Gs leg blast and weighted chins with 10 pounds. I did 4,4,3,2,&1- I also did some with assistance from my lightest band. Kinda stunk:rolleyes: Blamed it on bad eating and a migraine two days prior. I even had a tough time with B&Gs- couldn't complete all the reps. Later on Friday I did my upper body w/o.

Saturday was Strike Zone. I wish I could get those darn spider webs. I look like a fish flopping around out of water :eek:

This morning was lower body again. I was still a bit sore from B&G on Friday, but I am trying to get back on my schedule

squats
warmup sets: 45 # 12 reps, 70# 12 reps
working sets: 80# 3 sets of 12 (could have gone heavier)

rdls
warmup set: 70# 12 reps
working set: 80# 3 sets of 12
plie squats
50# 3 sets of 12

bulgarian split squats
10# 3 sets of 12 (my uninlateral leg work stinks!!! but I am working on itz)

pistol squats (assisted)
2 sets of 12 and 1 set of 8 (fried my legs and butt!!)

Then I did GSL calf work


I am hoping later to get in some weighted pullups :eek:
 
It's just me again. I just did my weighted pullups. I did 3 sets of 5 and 2 sets of 4 with 2 pounds added. I also did band assisted on sets I couldn't make it to 5.

I also did C&W step premix and abs. My day is done :eek:
 
It looks like I am replying to me again :eek: I have some serious DOMs from yesterday's leg w/o!! Linda, I think it's those one-legged squats:confused:

How's everyone else doing???
 
Where did ya go Linda? I saw where you checked in on the other thread and said you'd be back. So I bumped this one up for you to see.

I did not, did not, did not want to workout this evening :confused:

But I did :eek:

I did GS C&T and BSB premixes. Upper body is now fried. And OMG the lower body DOMS has gotten worse through the day.
 
Sorry Catherine to leave you talking to yourself. I know I went AWOL but got kind of busy. Really trying to get the new business started. Anyway let's see where I left off. Guess I'll just pick up with Monday.

I have to tell you Catherine I tried those pistol squats at 12 inches the other day and they were brutal. Did them with no hands but kind of dropped the last couple inches so after the first set I went back to 14. Amazing what a difference two inches can make.

Today I feel like crap! Head is all stuffed up, throat and nose are raw so no workout today. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow!
 
Catherine, just went back and reviewed your posts. How in the world are you doing those pistol squats at the end of you leg workout? I don't think I'd have any strength left to do those by then!!!:eek:

Maybe that's why I have to hold on :eek:

Oh, and I looked at my step the other day and realized it's 14 inches not 12 :eek: But this last time I wasn't even really using it as much and actually squatted down a little lower in front of it. No wonder my legs are still sore THREE DAYS later!!!! But keep in mind I am holding on to my power cage. Trying my best to use my legs mostly though :cool:

I am supposed to do B&Gs tonight and am not sure I am gonna make it
 
Forgot to say great workout. Isn't it amazing how much everything affects our workouts- Eating, sleeping, mental attitude,....

I hope you feel better. My allergies have been flaring this week. Lots of sniffleling and sneezing:confused:
 
Yeah, I guess I've been on my rotation for almost a month and will need to change it up soon.

Oh and I didn't do B&Gs this evening. I did SZ strikes 1-7 and weighted chinups. 10 #s added: 4,5,5,5,&4 not bad. I also added some with band assistance.

Then did cardio, 6 rounds at 30/90 ratio. Just did runs around the step like in 4DS Bootcamp. That was penlty intense enough for me today!:p

When is the August roadtrip? Is in non-stop events and workouts?
 
Linda, you have some awesome strength!!! I wanna be like you when I grow up. But since I am older than you I don't know how that works :eek:

The RT is next weekend. I am leaving Thurs. And yes it's pretty much nonstop stuff. It was so much fun last year. Meeting Cathe was great and meeting all the folks around here was great too. And of course, looking forward to seeing Ms Joanne again this year;)

I went shopping after work this evening and didn't workout. I am way to tired now. So I guess it's B&G tomorrow :eek:
 
Catherine, thanks for the compliment! Funny thing is compared to some of the Maniacs I am a pansy! I may never catch Debbie!

Still feeling pretty lousy so I managed 4 DS LIS and that was enough! Tomorrow chins are on the agenda and just not sure I am up for them.:p
May have to wuss out and do pullover instead.:eek:

The RT sounds like a lot of fun, wish I could have gone, but I just didn't have the funds. I should some day just go take a class with Cathe since I am only an hour away!:D
 
Linda, you should totally drive up on Thursday and have dinner with some of us!!!!!

I finally did B&G leg blast premix this morning. May do some upper body, but not sure. Too many things to do. My sis and I are going to see Beth Moore this evening and tomorrow morning. I am so looking forward to it!!
 
Catherine, Thursday night dinner sounds like a great idea!

I feel like I live in a gave I've never heard of Beth Moore before. I just googled her and I see she is really popular. How is it I've never heard of her?

Well yesterday started the new exercises and just let me tell you I got my butt kicked yesterday! I don't if it was in part to the cold, but I was exhausted by the time I was done!

The warmup was 8 reverse lunges, 12 close grip pushups, 10 stick ups X 2. **Stick ups are a lot harder than they look***

***was surprised that the presses gave me such a hard time, not sure what to make of that. Also they were suppose to be DB presses, but I wanted to change it up a little from the last rotation.***

Superset C
Decline Pushups

8/8/8 - 20's **started the first set with 25's but dropped halfway thru***

By the end of this my arms were so tight, but not in a painful way, more like the skin was too tight. Guess this is "the pump" that people refer too.:p

Then did cardio six rounds at 30/90 ratio. My intervals weren't that hard (power 15's) but that's all I had left, so I shortened the 90 recovery a bit.


Today was CTX Step & Intervals. And that was it.

Let me know if and when you get anymore details about Thursday. Also what is the name and address of the hotel your staying at?
 
Linda, do you ever do any endurance type workouts??

I despise endurance work- Blech!! I think it's because I stink at it :rolleyes:

I did MM time saver premix minus abs this evening and am hoping to get in some chinups tomorrow evening.
