Just getting this started. I did not do my chinups this weekend :eek: Really need some motivation. Have been eating crap and feeling like crap :confused: I need to improve on that!!

I have one more week left of this rotation, but was feeling completely bored with the same pattern of workout and decided to change things up this morning. I went with LIC. Haven't done that in a llloooooonnnnngggg time. I am definitely not use to endurance work. I was toast by the end.

Catherine, I've been eating crap and feel like crap too. I think that is one of the reasons I decide to change my workout this morning. Shake things up and get me out of this horrible rut! If I don't stop eating this poorly I am going to be huge before I know it and nothing will fit! I have no idea what has gotten into me. I've fallen off the wagon before, but I have never had this much trouble getting back on.
 
Linda, sounds like we are both in a rut :confused: I am glad that I have my kettlebells to add in some variety.

Hopefully we can encourage each other along the way to do better with the eating :)
 
Yeah., I really need a swift kick in the a$$. Also, I am going to start logging what I eat into myfitnesspal. Maybe if I see the damage I am doing in writing each day I will stop! Part of my problem is I want instantaneous results when I start dieting and get disgusted when I look the same two days later.:p

I really think I am going to ask for a kettlebell for Christmas!:D

OK, I had a conversation with myself on the way home from work. It went like this:

Evil self: you are tired, take a rest
Me: NO!!
Evil self: you worked too hard today you deserve a rest
Me: you might have to take a day off later this week,.....

And the battle went on and on. Finally "Me" won and I worked out. I did upper body and chinups followed by half of RS. Nothing impressive number wise. As a matter of fact chins stunk. They were unweighted: 4 sets of 5 and 2 sets of 4. I'll take it though :)

Oh and Linda, Perform Better has no shipping on all of their stuff. Including KBs!!!! If you don't have somewhere locally to buy them, it's a good deal. Of course I am not trying to enable you ((nudge, nudge) ;)
 
Great job on getting the workout done! I don't know how you do it after a long day! I had to go to piano lesson at 8pm, and I really didn't want to go because as far as I was concerned my day was done. That's only playing the piano, I could not imagine working out.:eek:

Linda, there are days when it's difficult to w/o after work. But I can not get my self out of bed early to do it:eek:

I haven't done SB in a while. I should pull that one out again!!

I did 4ds double step routine (premix) Whatever that is called.

So what are you all doing for Thanksgiving? Can not remember if I asked that yet- so sorry if I did already LOL!!

We spend part of the day with my family and then drive 45 minutes and spend time with his family. I think I'd rather stay home :confused:
 
Some days it is hard to get out of bed early.:p

Have no idea what I am going to do tomorrow. Don't know if I'll finish the TT rotation or just keep mixing it up. Guess I'll figure it out tomorrow when I am standing in my workout room.:p

For Thanksgiving I am just having my parents over for dinner. DH wanted to have dinner here, so I added my parents, otherwise they will end up in a restraunt (sp) somewhere. Which is bad in its self, just that they go alone. But Dh does want to visit his family at his GM at some point. Don't know if he will go while I am preparing or we will all go after dinner.

How's your eating been? This is day two of clean eating for me, let's just hope I can keep it going. I got on the scale this morning and I am embrassed to post what I weigh:eek::eek::eek:!

DD just walked up to me and sung "Christmas is a coming and mommy's getting fat".:( Am I allowed to call Dyfys on her?
 
Eating is better. Thank goodness. I don't have the guts to get on the scale. I just feel "bloated" YUK!!

LOL at your DD!! I am sure she meant it in a loving way ;)

 
This morning I did Amy Bento's A-Team Bootcamp. Didn't set any records or anything, especially because I had no idea what exercise was coming next so I had to kind of guess what weight to use. At the end I realized that there had been no exercise to target the back. So I threw in some rows. It did have some different moves in it so that was fun.

Have to make sure I have another good eating day today, so I can allow myself ONE small treat tomorrow!:p
 
Linda, nice going with the eating. I had a small bag of m&ms when I got home :eek: (left over from halloween)

I took my rest day today. So tomorrow will be KBs with Lauren Brooks before I leave for all the family stuff. I will try to resist too much eating. But will be having some wine :cool:

Did you have a good Thanksgiving?

So my penitence for today was Drill Max in it's entirety. For the most part I went heavier than Cathe except for shoulders. Here I stuck with her because of the trouble I have had been having with my shoulders.

My eating was not great yesterday, lots of carbs:p:D, some in the form of pie:eek:, but not nearly as bad as the damage I have been doing on days that were not holidays!:eek: DH installed a bunch of mirrors in my workout area and I use to love them. These days I hate them. I am not liking the way I look. I just to make sure it motivates me to do better instead of depressing me and making me throw in the towel.
 
Hey Catherine, kettlebell question. What weight(s) would you recommend I start with?

Yes, I am doing some shopping.:p
 
Linda, I bought both an 8 kg and a 12 kg bell. I use them both. I also just ordered a 16 kg for some things :eek: I think 8 or 12 are commonly recommended as a starting point for women. Good luck hunting ;)

Forgot to mention earlier. Had a good holiday. But I was so tired today. So much so that I didn't w/o :confused: But honestly, I have no energy:( I think it was best to rest.

Good job on DM!! Haven't done that one entirely forever.
 
Sorry Linda I am just now seeing this. I got both an 8 and 12 kg bell when I started. I think you were looking at twenty pounder which kinda falls somewhere in between the two. It's a hard call. There are some moves that definitely require a lighter bell. Right now the only dvd that I have is Lauren Brooks. I started with the 8 kg and now (just Wed) did the whole thing with my 12 kg. It's hard to judge. I went ahead and ordered a 16 kg and another 8 kg bell from perform better with their free shipping. I know I am not much help. I guess if it's priced good it would be nice to have a lighter bell around for certain moves and for days when you just can not give it your all :)
