Chin-Up Check-In Mon 4.3

Hello, CCers! Nothing to report here because I'm waiting until tomorrow to do them. I'm sure I'll be cranking out one after another now that I'm putting two rest days in between.:p

Thought I'd start the check-in for everyone else who's doing them today.

Okay, since Sooooosan (see if I give you 13 o's! ;-)) was a whiny-baby, I copy and pasted my workout to THIS THREAD! J/K!

Hope I didn't miss the thread somewhere...I decided to go ahead and check-in. I will miss Wednesday & Friday's check-in this week since I am leaving early tomorrow morn for Myrtle. Can't wait to see KathyS & Lorrayne! I plan to do them if we can find a chin-up bar somewhere. Okay..for today's results:

I started with ONLY 3 as I am soo sore from doing these. The Ole arms just gave out after the 3. I went back about 15 minutes later, did 4 more and then returned again and did 4 more for a total of 11! I have added one each day I attempted them and just hated to miss today's check-in due to leaving soo I squeaked them out! How'd everyone else do? Have FUN and let me know if I miss anything good while I'm gone. I'll miss you all this week. Happy Chinning!

Wimpy girl reporting chinups: 4 sets of negative 8 cts & 2 wide grip negatives 6 ct down.

On to BC workout.

edits: Just for fun ran over and did 1 more negative 8ct down and w/wide grip 1 more negative 6 ct. down.:)

I just finished plyox-didn't want to do it, but I did. Now I am wiped out!!! Been very tired today. ?? maybe the time change. So no chinups today. I'm so tired I don't even know what workout I do tomorrow- I always know what's on my sched x(

Melody-WTG. Aren't those wide grip negatives killer. Actually it takes alot for me to keep from just falling down instead of lowering down on those-LOL.

Well, actually on those wide grips, I have my feet lightly pressed against the back of the upright bench of the weight machine. }( But I'm trying. Wonder if that description makes any sense at all?
 
Pin up girl present and accounted for...I mean ummmm...chinup. And no I haven't done any today, but I'm headed downstairs to begin any minute. Yes any minute I'll be doing those chinups, anytime now. Today...I'll get those chinups done. The bar is calling and chinups are about to commence...so here we go. On to chinups.

I'm tired...anyone want to motivate me?

Are you done yet??? Whatcha waiting for. Ok I was dog tired today-no sleep last night and I MADE myself do PlyoX. So you march right downstairs and jump and give me 10 missy!!! That's an order.



Not to change the subject, but I've been reading a post over at videofitness about a member who went to Tony Horton's Miami fitness camp. I sooooooo want to go to one. There's one in LA in Aug and one in Chicago in Sept. Chicago is closest to me and I am planning on trying to go. Anyone else interested in going???? It would be awesome to meet you ladies and of course Tony!!!!

So give me details about the camp. Very interesting. As much as I'd like to go on a Cathe roadtrip...it's so far. I'm about 4 hours from Chicago (in Wisconsin). That would be a blast!!!

Joanne, glad you checked in. Nothing new means you're STILL DOING THEM and that's what matters!!!! Way to go!!

Melody you are such a blast. Yes...I was still hangin out, but thanks to ya all...I did um!! And just so you know I NEVER WOULD HAVE DONE THEM WITHOUT YA. I don't know why I have to be pushed so much lately, but I think it's getting a little better.

I did Slow and Heavy legs first, then chinups 7, 5, 7, 5, 7 and 2 slow negatives (one was in pullup form). I can feel myself getting stronger, but it's a mental battle with the bar. They are so hard, but once I pass the 3rd set, I get over the mental "hatred" thing. Kind of like the P90X strength workouts, once I'm halfway, I'm fine. Sheesh...what's wrong with me!! How does HB remain so steadfast - just knowing she can get to 15 - amazing.

There...thanks for letting me get that out..where do I send the check?

I first read your post "find a bar" (as in DRINKING bar! Ha! Hey, maybe that will help get me "up"!!!! ) I hear ya' on the falling down too! Whew, are they hard!

Thanks Joanne! I am sooo pumped, I barely slept a wink last nite! I'll report in as soon as I return (Late Sunday nite) Have a great week gals...you are doing super-duper all! Briee, glad you quit playing around and got them done...we would have to think about banning you from our "club"! BTW, your amount and counts are unbelievable! I think HB has some competition on her hands. LOOKOUT HB! Off to the beach.........

Quickly checking in before I walk the kids to school to say I did 7 10-ct negs. Once I get to 10 negs, I'll add on more sets but I'm totally wiped after doing what I can at this point. I do feel like I'm getting stronger and it's showing up in my other workouts. Yay!:) I've got PUB on the plate for later.

Joanne, you keep at 'em! You and I are in the same boat but our perseverance will prevail!

I bet the weather will be great in MB, Deb! You're going to have an awesome time!
