Hi Everybody!!!!

I'm just popping in to wish you chin up chicks a heartfelt Happy Easter from Cardiohateville! I have an idea for your Easter donuts. You can put them on a tray and fill the holes with chocolate bunnies or those little foil wrapped eggs. Have a good one and I'll be reading you on Monday;) :D

My DH is on his way to Atlanta to pickup a "located" Smith machine from Dick's (dang, the boys and I are home). I can hardly wait, more chinups...YAY...YAy...Yay...yay...oh my...

Catherine, so glad to hear you had a beautiful, although winning free, day. And I'm with you on the allergies and the pollen is flying freely in GA.

Briee, done any donuts or pullups today? Or any ER visits?

I can hardly wait until the Smith machine is assembled and I can resume the chinups.;-)
 
Today is my last day of my P90X rotation (except for recovery week next week)!!!! My results,..... drum roll please,..... I did sets of chinups as follows: 2.75, 2.5,2, & 2- thats a little over 8!!!! My personal best:eek: :eek: :eek: !!!! I so wanted to do 3 in a row today, but I am completely happy with my gains. Also did negatives- chinups sets as follows 1 set of 4 slow ct and 1 set of 5 slow ct (prob 10ct). 1 set each of 4 wide grip & narrow grip pullup neg. To think when I began P90X couldn't do even 1 chinup. Also looking back at Chest and Back could only do about 60 pushups on my toes. Last round I did 174 total on my toes!!!}( }( }( Now I worry about keeping my gains. I want to do something different for a while, but not sure what. Then do another P90X rotation or a variation of one mixing in other w/os.

I know that this check in has helped me so much with these chinups. I don't think I would've pushed myself so hard. I WILL do three in a row soon. (If my bleeping grip quits giving out x( ) No I WILL do it!!

Melody, so glad your DH is on his way to Dicks. Thought I was gonna have to come to Georgia and find a bar for ya!!!

Just so you know...there is a method behind all these donuts.

Whenever you see a donut, subliminally you will want to go do a pullup. Your back muscles will tense upon just the thought of donuts and the tensing in itself will strengthen your muscles.

Thanks Briee. I'll give DH a call on the cell and tell him to swing by Dunkin' Donuts before leaving Atlanta. I'll tell him the "Dr" prescribed them.:7

Catherine, you're a machine!!! I am so happy for you - you've been working really hard and it's paying off big time. 174 push-ups?!!? I know that's a total amount divided into sets w/rests, but it's still extremely impressive. The most I've ever done is 3 sets of 12 and that was pushing it. You are awesome!!!:) :) :)

I'm so glad we have an expert in this check-in to explain this strange donut phenomenon. It's all becoming clear to me.
 
Hi girls! I've been following this thread and would like to join y'all. This morning I did 8 assisted pullups, 3 un-assisted chinups and then four negative pullups.

My back is now sore:eek: :eek: :eek: !!!
 
Welcome Tammy!!! Glad to have ya join in. How long have you been at chinups? I am jealous you can do 3. I am almost there did 2.75 yesterday, just couldn't finishx( I will be there soon though. Uhhhh, you do know about the donut requirement? Oh, and don't tell Sooooooooooosan you can already do chins, she won't speak to ya-LOL

I have been working on chin-ups sporadically for a few months. My DH installed a chin-up bar in the rafters of my workout room, so I don't do them as often as I would like to as just getting to the chin-up bar is a workout...LOL!

Let's hope Sooooooooosan doesn't see this!
 
We just have a fedish with donuts and chinups. The two go hand in hand. Briee likes to put donuts on her chinup bar for motivation. X brings in lovely pictures (see above) for us to marvel at!!
