Children's Multivitamins

Okay, all these years (well, only 7 so far), I thought I have been doing something wonderful for my kids...which is giving them a daily multivitamin. I usually buy a big bottle of vitamins at Wal-Mart called One Source. The other day I was wondering how much sugar is really in one little vitamin. So, I am looking at the ingredients and come to find out, there is sugar and ASPARTAME!!! I would rather give my kids sugar!!

So my question is, is there a multivitamin for kids at local pharmacies that does not have aspartame...or any other artificial sweetener?

Thanks in Advance!!

If all else fails give the child adult multivitamins.

"well you're so much bigger now you get to take the big people vitamins..."

Dave, I wish I could do that, but my youngest is 3 and oldest is 7. They are too young to swallow adult vitamins.

do they have something in a chewable that is what viola needs. she cannot swallow pills whole. even her meds come in capsules so i can open them up and hide them in her food. well not hide anymore but mix it with yogurt or something for her take.

Unfortunately, I don't know if it's a good idea to give kids adult multivitamins anyway. Kids have different needs and do not need the larger amounts of certain vitamins that adults need.

I give my daughter Flintstones vitamins. They have sugar but not aspartame.

It will be interesting to see what others say.

I feel like I am always on a search for a good quality and good tasting children's vitamin. These are the ones I currently use. I think they contain a good amount of nutrients with all natural ingredients. The website www.vitacost.com has been reliable and the shipping is only $4.99 no matter what size order. For my younger children I break one tablet in half. They are also only one vitamin per serving which makes the cost reasonable. Check the number of tablets per serving if you are comparing brands and prices. I hope this helps!
