Good Morning Cheetah-Babes!

I am up with the chickens this morning simply because I had to get up to use the bathroom and didn't see the point of going back to bed for just an hour...

I never got back here last night but I did get my run in. My friend called cause she ended up having to cancel our park run again :-( so I went to the gym instaed. I did Itread 5/60 minutes. I didn't quite make 5 miles with it so I kept runnin' after the w/o was over until I hit it.}(

I have upper body weight work (+abs) on tap for today but do not know what I want to do so I'll decide at the last minute!

I'll be back with personals in a new post in a bit...

Good morning, Wendy, and everyone else! :D

Today will be KM Low-Impact Timesaver.

Wendy :: Good job getting in the 5 miles without your friend. Enjoy today's u/b & abs - whatever you decide to do...So, are you all packed?

Christine :: Got your PM - thanks!

Have a great day, ladies!

Kristi: Glad you could pop in yesterday! Glad you had a good time in Indy! I know what you mean about funerals and other such bad stuff bringing people together. Everyone is so busy in the world today that unfortunately that is often what it takes. I say go for the X baby! }(

Jess: Congrats on upping your weights! I've been doing that alot since completing the X myself. I recently purchased a set of 20# DB's and used them for shoulder work...YEOW! How did your bike ride go last night?

Marcia: Glad you were able to pump out an IMAX so early in the morning! Good for you girl!

Carole: Glad your mouth is feeling better. I would have gladly given you some of the rain we got on Monday...it was INSANE! LOL

Cathy: Nice work out yesterday! One day I want to go to the Cheesecake Factory just for dessert!:9 }( Don't worry about the naps girl. Sometimes I will nap every day for weeks and then not nap at all for weeks. I say, if you can do it, more power to ya! LOL

Jackie: The closest Cheesecake Factory to me is the one I went to over the weekend and it's near my mom...about 30 or so mins from me so that's good. I have to make the EFFORT to go. It's not a place my DH and I would go to just for the heck of it. ;) Nothing wrong with taking it easy on the work outs for a bit. Do you take regular rest or recovery weeks? I never used to but after doing so with the X, I now try to do it every 4-8 weeks.

Sunny: Which garmin did you get? So have you been to a spin class since getting your new shoes? Do you like them? What kind of difference do they make as compared to spinning in sneakers?

Christine: Hey stranger! Good to see you girl! Miss you when you aren't around. :) So you've been a spinning queen as of late but not really running at all...why the fierce cut back on the running? Just curious. :)

Cathy,

Nope, not packed yet though I do pretty much know what clothes I am bringing. I now have to pick out DS' things and then move on to the toiletries and all that. What a pain! x( DH is pretty much going to lay out what he wants to bring so all I have to do is put it in the suitcase. Oh thank goodness for that! LOL Have fun with your KM premix. I am probably going to take a couple of Cathe's KB work outs on vaca with me as another cardio option. :)

Good morning, Cheetahs:

Wendy - You morning, girl! I would've had no trouble going back to bed for an hour :7 Have fun packing, FUN-FUN!

Cathy - Today will have to be an unscheduled rest day I'm afraid. I have to get ready to go to my TS convention and the time has slipped by me, so I have to pack this morning because I work at the bar tonight and won't have time since I'll be home late and up early in the morning to get on the road. The hotel I'm at does have an awesome pool and workout center, so I will most definitely utilize that while I'm gone. So, even if you don't hear from me for a few days, I'm on track with the rotation no troubles. ;-) ;-)

Today like I said, I'm packing and organizing to get ready for the National Convention. I'm excited, but will really miss my family. I'm trying to look at it as a break and everyone will miss everyone even more and appreciate them when we are all back together.

Have a great day everyone, I'm sure I'll be back!
Marcia.

Good morning cheetahs and happy Hump day:7 Our eastern gals are up bright and early along with me the crazy old lady night shift worker!
I had an awesome workout with HSTA yesterday, I forgot how challenging and fun that one was!

Wendy- Glad you got in a good run despite your friend bailing on you.
iTread5 is one of my favorites.... good job! Go fry the upper bod today, but leave some strength for the packing :7 :7 I usually take along kickboxing vids for a vacation cardio workout, they're a good choice.

Cathy- Hiya! Have a great day .... KM is a good way to start! Are you doing the July TS rotation?

Marcia- Sounds like you'll have a really good time at the TS convention!! We'll look forward to your post on it when you return.

For today it'll be a BBC treadmill workout when I get home and this afternoon I'll be doing Squeeze:7

ShellyC

Thanks!

I will have my website for TS up and running by the time I get back, so you will all finally see a pic of me and you can check out my website, too. ;-)

Marcia

Good morning ladies,

cathy- yes, i am excited about getting my garmin, now i just have to figure out how to work it lol.

shelly- when i do my BC classes i show them what i want them to do and then i just go around yelling at them}( . for the treading classes i am on the tm right along with them.

marcia- when i get a chance i will pm you re: my BC class. i would love to hear your ideas also.

wendy- funny you asked the question re: my spin shoes as today is the first day i was able to take a spin class with my new shoes!! they definitely did make a difference as far as my stroke and being able to sprint without fear of flying out of my seat, lol. i couldn't get them off the bike at the end of the class  (someone had to almost break them off) so i will take them to the bike shop and have them readjust for me, not sure dh did it correctly.

jackie- not sure if i have a favorite move. but there are alot of killer moves i like to torture those in my classes with...hehehe

kristi- good to hear from you girl. don't worrry about personals, we just like to know how you and your family are doing! glad you are having fun. go for the X!

carole- sorry i am late..however happy birthday to your dh!!

have a great day ladies!!

this morning i went to the gym for a sweaty spin class:D }(

Wendy :: I have gone to the CF just to pick up dessert }( …but I don’t get over there very often. Maybe 3-4 times a year…Ya know, I’m not worried about the naps so much as I am curious. I just don’t usually nap for *that long.* And the one on Monday, I was actually *trying* to wake up a couple times and *couldn’t.* Weird feeling.

Marcia :: I’m sure you’ll stay on track, partner! Not a big deal to switch up your rest days. Have a great time at the Convention!

Shelly :: no, I’m doing another round of the Aug. 04 rotation (modified for variety)…have fun with BBC TM & Squeeze!

Sunny :: so are you a shouter like Barry?

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...ME abs has always been one of my favorites. I have not heard of "You on a Diet". KM low impact TS sounds fun.

Wendy..sorry about the canceled run. Looks like you made up for it with Itread. Enjoy your upper body & ab workout. Your trip is coming up fast!

Marcia...will the National Covention just be for the weekend?

Shelly...My DH said he had a harder time when he turned 40! I have not done HSTA in a long time, sounds like you enjoyed it. Have fun with BBC TM and Squeeze.

Sunny...congrats on the Garmin. Once you get it figured out you will love it. Thanks for B-Day wishes for my DH.

Jackie...that does look like a nice park to run in. Thanks for the B-Day wished for my DH. If you didn't see the link for the odd size dumbbells this is it: http://www.performbetter.com/detail.aspx_Q_ID_E_4199_A_CategoryID_E_351 Easy weeks are good for you.

Shelly...My DH said he had a harder time when he turned 40! I have not done HSTA in a long time, sounds like you enjoyed it.

Susan...hope you had fun with BM2.

Christine...we miss you too! Thanks for the B-Day wishes for my DH.

I think my DH had a good day yesterday, We were going to go to dinner but it was just too blasted hot when we got home from work. So we will try again tonight.

I am doing P90X B&B, abs and 40 min on my EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Carole - The convention is from Thursday - Sunday. We will be taste testing 100's of items for possible additions to the catalog in the future. :9 :9 Get lots of great free stuff, taste the new fall/winter items before they are released and meet lots of new and great people. :)

Marcia.

Hello again... time for another peek in and a quickie before I get busy again here.

SunnyD- Have fun figuring out your Garmin. Mine comes Monday. I chose the supersavor free shipping option from amazon so it took longer. I can picture you yellin like a drill sergeant for your BC class }(

Carole- Goin with Tony today? Back&Biceps are my favorite body parts to work. What is yours? Have a great EXT day!!!

Hi to everyone who follows!!

ShellyC

Marcia...taste testing sounds way fun!...:)...I hope you have a great time.

Shelly...my fav P90X is S&A. I think its great some of us are getting the Garmins, I just love new toys like that...:7 :+

G'morning Cheetahs! I have a sick cub, took Hannah to the Dr. y'day & she has tonsillitis!! Poor girl could hardly swallow. Her tonsils are VERY swollen & red. She is on a steroid + antibiotic to help the swelling/ infection. They also tested her for strep & mono, but they were both negative. So it was a relaxing day after that for us y'day.

I went biking w/ my buddies last night, a hilly 13.5 miles. It was fun. I was wiped out last night, I know how Cathy feels! I did NOT want to wake up this morning so I let my body sleep in again. I'm just going to do some yoga/ pilates today. I think I'll do either a Baron or Bryan yoga. :9 I was going to do GS legs but I'm going to save that for tomorrow.

Off to make breakfast! The girls are playing their Polly pockets on my step, it makes the perfect *runway* for their fashion show!! :7 We do have to head to the library as our books are due & the girls need to get their next prizes for the summer reading club!

Carole ~ Happy belated to your dh!! I hope he had a fabulous day!

Cathy ~ I just read You on a Diet before I started Tosca's Eat Clean Diet. They're both good reads. I found You on a Diet interesting in how it talks about how your body processes your foods & has some other good info in it. Let me know how you like it!!

Good morning everyone!

Shelly - I guess I'll have to do a rain dance to get any kind of precipitation here. My grass is brown. Glad you had a good night's sleep.

Susan - How was the movie?

Sunny - Glad you got your Garmin. When are you taking it out for a trial run?

Christine - Good to see you getting the workouts in.

Wendy - Glad you got a good 5 mile run in. You sound really excited about your running. If I feel like my body needs a recovery week, I'll usually take one especially since P90X was so hard on me. I take 2-4 vacations a year and I'll use those weeks as a recovery week.

Cathy - How are you feeling today? Sounds like your body needed a little extra rest.

Carole - Thanks for the db link. Hope you and DH make it out for dinner tonight. Enjoy your workout.

I did iStrength #14 Circuit workout. This one is about 45 minutes. It starts out with about a 5 minute warm up on the TM, then it goes to core work and weights. It has more upper body than lower body. Enjoyed the workout. I did 10 assisted and 10 unassisted pullups and about 15 minutes of stretching with foam roller.

Enjoy your day!

Jackie

Hey ladies. My internet connection was off and on for the past 2 days.

Yesterday for me was Low Max and this morning was PLB...increased my weights on this one. I'm now up to 47lb for the 8 rep set....not sure how much heavier I could go and still be able to step up onto that 14" height! lol

Some of you are talking about Eat Clean Diet. I just returned it to the library. I read it all the way thru, and was happy to see that there's nothing new in it.....all the basics about clean eating. I have You On a Diet on hold next, so we'll see how that one is.

Gayle

You're right on there not being anything new about the Eat Clean Diet, but for some reason it just *clicked* for me. I guess sometimes it's just nice to be reminded that you're eating right. JMO. ;-)

wendy- forgot to add i got the 205 model.

cathy- yes i yell alot, lol. and i even make them hold it......hehehe}(

shelly- i had two new people in my class yesterday and one of the guys said to them "don't let her size fool you, she may be small but she is tough"...i even had someone ask me if i used to be in the military:7 i also opted for the free shipping..i am sure it will be worth the wait.

jackie- i am hoping to use my garmin this weekend. i am slow when it comes to technology so we will see. you have one, correct? is that the istrength that has the sprints? i love that one!!

carole- thanks! with all of my new gadgets i am starting to feel like a real runner:7 :+ next purchase is the foam roller, wooohooo.

Hi lovely Cheetahs!!!

How is everyone! I’m done with HSTA, and the KM leg sculpting drills, and I got a wild hair and added the first five blasts from KM. I’m feeling pretty tired about right now, but very accomplished! My abs are feeling it though – amazing to me as there was no official ab work – but those sculpting drills do work the obliques! So how is everyone?

Wendy – I’m always willing to go back to bed for an hour. :+ Good job on your run. Funny – I remember you saying that you will never be able to run five miles. You’ve really come far! Why am I not running as much? I get bored with things after a while and need a shake up. So spinning took over. Now, I’m doing more of a mix again. But my main steady-state is still spinning. I do run occasionally. Where are you going?

Cathy – yeah – he’s an interesting guy. As you live near him and are single, I wanted you to watch out (he’s married, but that never seemed to make a difference). Enjoy KM! I’ve heard good things about “You on a Diet”. I’ve also heard it’s more basic stuff (but sometimes basic is good!). I picked up the “Eat Clean diet” and was not impressed, although some of the people here are. The recipes are good, but she talks about using Hoodia, etc. And I found that while she does eat clean – the information is not new – just same old. But hey – whatever works.

Marcia – How long is the convention? Those are usually fun! Enjoy!

Shelly – HSTA IS fun, isn’t it? By the time the sit and stands come around, my legs are shaking. I think this one has the best lower body work of any of the circuits. Enjoy the BBC Treadmill workout! I’m in awe of anyone who can do those!

Sunny – enjoy your Garmin! Your difficulties disconnecting from the bike was probably due to the newness of your cleats. It will get easier over time. It’s a quick twist with your heel pulling outward. But, YES, they make a difference. You can spin faster – and you can do one legged drills to enhance your spin. It really help because you learn to use the entire pedal stroke which leads to faster spins and higher heart rates. :p Enjoy!

Carole - Oh, enjoy your workout! I did a week of P90X and was so tired I could hardly see straight! I cannot believe I thought I could do that AND train for a half. No wonder my first half turned into a 10k! glad your DH had a good day. Hopefully it’ll cool down – it’s less sultry here. Feels more like California again instead of Hawaii!

Jackie – Never stopped with the workouts. Just busy at work, so I don’t always have time to check in. I cannot imagine not working out! Does iStrength 14 use the gym machines or is it free-weights?

Jessie – Hannah is sick? So sorry! Too funny about the many uses for the club step! From hardcore step workouts to fashion show runway! Absolutely understand about “The Eat Clean Diet”.

Gayle - 47 pounds with leg presses? I’m hurting just thinking about it! Wow! I’m with you on the Eat Clean Diet. Wasn’t really impressed. Did enjoy some of the recipes, though!

I’m going to go crawl under my desk and nap now! *wishes she could actually do that!* Enjoy everyone!!!
