Cathlete
Morning, cheetahs! :) :) :)

I'm still a bit bleary-eyed this morning - I need to get back to my regular sleep schedule! Which means sleeping at 9 pm like an 85-year-old grandma. :) Had to do some prep for school last night and fiddled with the pics, so it was a late one. After fooling around with it, I then found I no longer have a valid PhotoShow membership, so I could not upload the photoshow last night. I am not sure I want to renew. Will try to get some pics up and running soon.

Wendi :: hope that big check comes your way today!

Carole :: thanks for sharing about John's accident. My heart aches just reading about it. Where he would be without the great family support system that he has?...The board did not make a decision at this meeting, but one parent did attend (a superintendent in another district) and I am told he was *very* supportive of both the book and me as a teacher. Which is interesting b/c thus far my name has not been brought into it. Follow-up articles are expected. As I said yesterday, I am in a pretty good place about it all now, but it could still get interesting.

I think that catches me up for personals.

Have a GREAT day, ladies! I will be doing 4DS KB & CB tonight. BBL...

Hello cheetahs,

cathy- very pretty dress! did the hunk see you in that one?? lol. enjoy your workout today.

today i am going to do a 45 min itread (not sure which one yet) and then abs from my fitnessfix workout.

ttyl....:)

I just replied and it vanished. :(

Sunny :: *lol*...thank you ~ no, I didn't run into him on the island that day...Enjoy whichever iTread you choose & the ab work.

I just weighed myself and am happy I didn't gain on the cruise. I actually lost .4 lbs. - yay! Now I need to get back to strict points tracking. I don't want to get sucked into the holiday feeding frenzy.

Wendy :: have you rec'd your Bosu yet? I was reading a skiing article that said that kind of core training is excellent for making gains on the slopes, and I am thinking about it.

Oh, one more pic. This was pirate night. Even though my DS & new "ILs" are complete Disney nuts, I was the ONLY one in the party who decked out! *lol* Not sure why the pic is kinda fuzzy but here it is:

Good morning cheetahs! Couldn't get around to posting yesterday:(
I'm on the first of a 3 night stretch of 12 hr nights, so far not too bad:) My 20 mile run went okay but I took it pretty easy because I had landed wrong on my ankle on a prior run, twisted it a bit. It felt fine again after a couple of days of icing but I'm wearing some extra ankle support and not taking any chances. Today will be a 5 mile interval run when I wake up and that's all I'll have time for.

Cathy- Your cruise sounded fun and relaxing.... just what you needed
:7 :7 :7 You didn't exchange e-mail addresses or anything with this
cruise "friend"???;-) Unfortunately I can't view any pics from the computers at work, I have to wait til I'm home but I bet you look FAB!!!!! Thanks for asking about my sis and BIL. They are actually here in the US at present (thank God) but go back to Pakistan in a week

Sunny- Have a good run today! the new KCM cardio sculpt workout has cardio intervals and blasts that are mostly on the step but some hi lo/kickbox as well.

Wendy- I didn't know Baltimore had so much to offer! Sounds like you had a great getaway weekend. Did you get your new vacuum? I recently broke down and got a Dyson and I absolutely LOVE it!!

That's all I have time for now cheetahs...
Hi Carole,Christine,Kristi,Susan,Lori,Lorie,Wendi... anybody else I
missed..... have a great one!

ShellyC

Greetings Cheetahs

Cathy- Thank you for sharing your pictures. Your dress and pirate outfit are both great! kudos to you for not gainning on the cruise!

Sunny- My friend who ran the 14-15 miles is doing fine, except her calves are a little sore. She thinks, she needs new running shoes. She was telling me she has a magnet bed and she believes it really helps in recovery of hard worked muscles.

Carole- pass your "de-clutttering energy" this way today! We are still getting our home back to normal after playing 'Bed and Breakfast' this weekend. DS was funny, he said why do you call it a B& B? I slept on the floor and did not get up for breakfast!

Today will be Legs, Biceps & Triceps (abs if I am ambitious) I need to get some Christmas gifts purchased, but need to grocery shop more. Perhaps a bit of internet looking /shopping might be helpful.

Wendy- Did you get a vacuum at Target? If not you may want to check to see if you or any friends have any Linens & Things 20% off coupons and try to use it.

Edit: Hi Shelly I hope work is going smoothly :)

Mornin' Cheetah Babes!:)

WOW, I've never heard such interest in a vacuum before! LOL :p Yes, I picked up a Bissell. There was one we saw online that "specialized" in pet hair so I wrote down the name and off I went. Ofcourse it was not in stock. They DID, however, have ANOTHER Bissell model with the same claim for about the same price so I bought it. I used it last night and so far so good. We'll see what happens down the line though....I would LOVE to get the DYSON for pet hair but I couldn't justify the expense to DH. He doesn't bawlk at much but spending that much on a vacuum is something he won't go for. I spent $150.00...the Dyson is $500 or $600!

I am tired. I didn't get to bed until about midnight last night and I am paying for it this morning. *YAWN* I am thinking yoga may win the battle against cardio as a work out for today...

Okay, I'm off to see about catchin' up with some personals now...

I'll be back!:+

Good morning Cheetahs!

I only have a second to post this morning. This morning's workout was 4DSKB cardio, KM blasts 1-5, KM combos 1-2, KM blasts 6-10, KM combos 3-4...so much fun!!! I think I'm going to try to run again tomorrow morning as it looks like it's going to be a gorgeous day tomorrow.

Cathy - You think you're a grandma with a bedtime of 9...I'm asleep by 8 some nights . But then again I LOVE my sleep! How gorgeous were those views...ahhh! You looked absolutely beautiful and very tan :7. Great pirate outfit!

Sunny - Enjoy your run!

Shelly - Here's hoping your 3 night stretch isn't too rough! I'm so sorry about your ankle. I hope it heals quickly...take care of it and please be careful! You don't want to go into another mary with another injury! My prayers will be with your sis and BIL when they have to head back overseas.

Judy - You've got quite the agenda today! LOL about the B&B comment!

Wendy - I'm with you on the price of the Dysons...I would love one but they are definitely out of my ballpark for a vacuum! Have a bit more java and them get going on that yoga, girl!

EEEK! I just looked at the time! I have to get moving. See yas tonight!

Cathy: Yes, I got my Bosu before I went away but haven't even opened it yet! LOL I really need to. I'd like to blow it up and play with it before starting the X. I am just not looking forward to the inflation process. x(

Carole: I have a hard time running in the cold. It slows me down something fierce. So I guess you are doing a full "rotation" with Slo Mo? Sorry I suggested we do it together and then I backed out. I'm such a loser! LOL

Kristi: Pics are great motivation. You will LOVE seeing the changes in your body as you make progress! You probably won't realize the progress you've actually made until you look at the pics!

Wendi: How nice that you finally caught a break and had some time to yourself for a good long work out. I hope there are more of those days in your future!:)

Christine: The "iron-free" thing is going well so far. I am enjoying the change. We stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn in Fell's Point. It's right next door to the "inner harbor" area. It's on the water as well. Very quaint town. I liked it. We spent Saturday at Inner Harbor. We went to the Aquarium and did a few other things. It was a nice (but COLD) day. I was fine with the pregnancy, labor and delivery. It's the lack of sleep in the beginning and then the general raising of the child that I have issues with!:p

Susan: Still have DOMS from GS Legs? }( Yes, I tried the full body premix from 4DS a couple weeks ago. I didn't have to time to do it all in one day however. I had to break it up into 2 days. IMO it's too much to do in one day anyway. So how's Mary doing?

Lori: I always *thought* I wanted 2 kids but not anymore. I love my son to pieces-don't get me wrong-but as it turns out, I'm not cut out for motherhood so one is more then enough for me.

Ok girls...my time is up. I hafta start getting ready for work. I'll be back this afternoon!:)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Another typical morning for me today – I wake up and think, “Oh, I’m taking today off from working out”, but then after tea and a bit to wake up, I decide I will workout. I’m going to do Spinervals Zoot Challenge followed by the rolling hills from Hillacious. I really enjoy that workout.

Cathy – I can only imagine that you are bleary eyed this morning. I go to bed at 9, too – but then again, I am ½ the age of an 85 year old lady – you’re not that close yet. :p LOVE the photos! What a view from the EXT! I want an EXT with a view like that! And you look stunning, both as a pirate and in that pretty blue dress. The Newlyweds look happy. Glad to hear of the support you’re getting.

Sunny – Sounds like a great workout! Enjoy your day!

Shelly – glad your ankle held up okay! I absolutely do not blame you for wearing extra support and taking it easier (although how running 20 miles can be consider anywhere near easier is beyond me. Lol). Great job. The marathon is close, isn’t it?

Judy – Have fun Christmas shopping! And with your workout.

Wendy – Too funny on the vacuum. My DH is the same way – would never be happy with me spending $600 on a vacuum. I’ve liked my Bissel – I have the steam cleaner. Hope you get some rest today.

Wendi – I don’t think you’re vain at all! And don’t the judges for horse shows judge both the horse and rider? It’s such a highly competitive sport! What kind of shows do you do? What is your specialty? Just curious as I love horses so much!

Well, I’d better get moving…

once again, i am going to leave a craptacular post as i have no time to catch up on anything. on top of that, i am in a baaaad mood (or as wel say int he OAL, in need of going to the HH (hidey hole) today).

i am having DF drama, dissertation drama (which is really dissertation mentor drama), work drama, car drama, we decided we're not going to vegas drama, no money drama, i slept through my workout this morning drama, i feel like a fat pig drama, slacker about posting personals drama...you name it. i feel like i just need to crawl in a hole (but not before punching DF in the face and anyone else who pisses me off today).

on the positive side, things can't get much worse, can they?!?!

i am terrible at working out in the afternoon, but i might try to get a run in. it may be just what i need. that or some kickboxing.

here's a legitimate question. my half is thanksgiving day (thurs), i did a 10 miler on sunday. my schedule says i should do a 10 miler exactly a week before my half (which would be this thursday). i am not sure i am going to have the time to get one in and i just ran one on sunday. i had planned on doing a 5 miler today (might still), but i am at a loss for what the rest of my training should look like until the race. all the training schedules assume a weekend race and mine's not. what should i do?

sorry for being so incredibly self-centered and asking for your help but not reading or posting any personals. i promise i will be better once i get out of this dang funk!!! i never get like this. i don't know what's going on.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...Yes, John's accident was just tragic. I know even with the support some days are just hard. That is great that parent was very supportive of you and the book! I think you do have reason to feel good about it right now...:)..Love the pics! It looks beautiful there. You look awesome in that dress and the pirate costume was great!! So when are you getting an EXT?? Enjoy 4DS KB & C&B later.

Sunny...have fun with your iTread and ab workout.

Shelly...sorry about the ankle! Sounds like you are taking care of it...Enjoy your interval run.

Judy...I will try and pass you some decluttering energy...I still seem to have lots to unclutter!! So you slept on the floor? Enjoy your legs and arm workout.

Wendy...sounds like a nice vacuum. Mine is good with pet hair and I could never justify spending $600 on a Dyson myself. As you know I can run in about any type of weather. But I bet it gets alot colder where you live than here in Cali. I might do 2 weeks of Slo-mo and then go back to 4DS.

Wendi...sounded like a fun KB mish mosh!

Christine...Enjoy your spinerval workout, sounds fun. Yes, and the EXT with the view would be wonderful!

Today is Slo-mo legs, and Imax2.

Have a great day...:)

Carole- Only DS slept on the floor; he gave his bed up for his aunt and uncle.

Lorie- do not worry about not writing personals. I have not trained for or run a HM so no advice here sorry to say. Perhaps Shelly or Carole can chime in here?

Wendy- I'm not actually fond of the bagless vacuum at any price. And I think the Dyson is popular due to massive advertising. We have central vacuuming here, but I prefer my Sears canister over the central.

Well for a bit of variety, I switched to the Gym Styles for UB this week. So instead of doing more push/pull it is more like supersets. I did the Chest /Tricep supersets premix and B&G standing glute and ab premix.

Oh Lorie – I so hope it gets better soon! {{{HUGS}}} And feel free to share your drama with us any time. I think it’s better to get it off your chest. You’re allowed to be self centered. I’ve done my share of “me” posts (went through some tough times last year at this time) and these ladies were incredible. They are so caring and giving! As for your half – Carole or Shelly may disagree, but I’d run no more than 6 miles this Thursday – give your body a chance to relax a bit and save up the energy.

Carole – wouldn’t it be? I love the ocean. It’s so soothing. Enjoy Slo Mo – I’m fighting myself to keep from buying it, and Imax 2 – my favorite!! Sounds like you have a fabulous day planned!

Judy – Good points about the Dyson. I’m planning a rotation of circuits for December, but come January, I’m going to do a P90X –like rotation using GS and S&H – at least that’s the plan now. I really like GS. Have fun.

I have not managed the Spinervals yet. I’m working from home, so I’ll probably do them over lunch. Just not motivated today – I might actually take a rest day. We’ll see. I did just order Amy’s KBX and Cathe’s High Step Challenge (finally!). So, at least I was motivated to do that! I took Jimmy to doggie day camp this morning (paid for today, so I may as well use it), so it’s just Kimo and me. There was a big fat squirrel outside sitting on the fence twitching his tail at me. Kimo used to think her job was keeping the back yard free of squirrels, but she’s an old lady now, and can’t see or hear as well as she once did, but this squirrel was obvious, so I pointed him out and opened the door and out she charged after the squirrel barking like mad. She couldn’t get her rotund body over the ledge in the back to chase him further (she has cushing’s disease and the big belly comes with that), but she was really proud of herself. Too cute…

Hi Girls!

Just wanted to check it and I will come back later to read personnals:)
I had a good nap when I got off so I feel well rested. I think its best for everyone if I go to bed when I get home. DS also did good at the sitters so everything is good!

Im hoping to get a workout in but Im not sure what I will do or if I will get the time. My mom is here so Im sure she will watch him. Im also wondering if he had nap b/c i could pack him up and go for arun but its a little chilly out, but sunny.

K..BBL!

Lori:)

Hello Cheetahs! Sorry this will need to be short. Today is super busy at work, but I will try to fit in as many personals as I can.

Today’s workout will be a 4 mile interval run on the treadmill after the kids are in bed. I plan on watching Dancing with the Stars then too. I won’t be able to do my workout during my lunch today. I need to take DD to the ENT dr for a follow-up visit instead.

Cathy – I have tried Body for Life quite a few times in the past, but never did the whole 12 week challenge. I’m hoping to make it through it this time. In a nutshell you eat 6 meals (which includes a protein and carb at every meal) a day for 6 days then the 7th day is a free day. The website has approved food. It is really clean. The thing I love about it is you don’t count calories. However, you do watch portion size. A serving of lean protein is the size of the palm of your hand and a serving of protein is the size of your fist. Workout wise, they say to do three 20 min HIIT cardios per week and alternate either and pyramiding UB or LB the other days. UB & LB are not done on the same day though. They are alternated throughout the week. Here is the website to make more sense of this. http://www.bodyforlife.com/ Thanks for the sweet compliment. Us moms do what we can. I meant to answer your question re:DH’s job before you left on the cruise. You asked if he works out of town a lot. Normally he doesn’t but the past month his work is opening a new hotel. He had to make sure everything is like it should be. Of course it wasn’t. He shouldn’t have to go back to GA for a long time now. Thank goodness. Oh, I just saw pics from your vacation. I love your dress. You look very beautiful! Love the pirate costume too!

Wendi – Thanks for your kind words. I think our Wendy said it well when she said, “If mom isn’t happy, no one is happy.”

Shelly – Good idea wearing ankle support just in case. Great job on the 20 miler!

Wendy – Enjoy your Bissell. I hope it works well for you. I bought the Dyson for Pet Hair a couple months ago. I absolutely LOVE it! It was the best money I ever spent. I’m surprised how much hair it gets up every time I vacuum.

Hi SunnyD, Carole, Judy, Christine, Susan, Lori, Lorie, & Wendy. Did I miss anyone?

ladies!!

no time for personals just popped back in to say i did my run this morning and then came home and had a touch of shellyitis :7 ;-) and decided to give 4DSBC (cardio only) a try...OMG, i just love, love, love this workout!! if there were any workout i wished were longer it would be this one just because i am obviously a glutton for punishment...:7 :+ :p the only thing, i wasn't able to do any push-ups because i have DOMS in my triceps from yesterday's workout, lol.

enjoy your evening!!

Good Afternoon My Ladies!:)

No time for personals. Just wanted to say that I jerked around and then napped through my work out time. Unplanned rest day for me!x( x( x(

I did, however, finally inflate my bosu. I have my work cut out for me with this thing! Holy moly it's not easy to balance on it! :7

I hope all is well with my girls. I am going to try to get back here later tonight to catch up with the posts and do personals. I am heading out to my MIL's for dinner soon!:9

Later babes!

I love BOSU's - enjoy it Wendy! Oh yeah, Fells Point is very pretty! I love the Aquarium - that shark tank is too cool! :)

Loved your touch of Shellyitis, Sunny! I knew exactly what you meant. :+ Isn't 4DSBC a total blast?! I absolutely love that one.

I did manage to get in my workout - YEAH!! I did Spinervals Zoot Challenge and the rolling hills from Hillacious. Fun, fun!

i decided that on top of all the crap that has been going on with me, i was not going to let missing my run be one of them. so, i snuck out of work a little early and went on a run around my neighborhood on a very hilly route. i ended up doing 5.1 miles in 46:56 and i am pretty darn happy with that. running is such an amazing stress reliever. it's so nice that you guys understand that.

anyway, i am off to relax and, hopefully, be able to fall asleep tonight.

see you in the morning.
