Good morning, everyone! http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_happy-038.gif

Did you catch that post on the Open forum about the blog being broken? (It was a joke.) Cathe responded that it should be "fixed" today. Yipppeeee!!!

OK, this'll be quick ~ I caught up with most personals last night and have to get my butt in gear and dry this mop of hair.

Christine :: So when ya tryin' out the new vid?...I feel fine this morning, so I think it must have been something I ate that just didn't quite agree with me...Thanks, I'm glad, too, that it's turned out to be nothing serious. It's a relief to get that assurance...Looking forward to seeing a pic of poor Jimmy. How is he today?

This afternoon'll be either a run or kickbox. Plus I have to make up last night's abs. My stomach was just off, so I wound up not doing them.

Have a GREAT day, ladies! Will BBL to catch up with you all.

Morning!

LOL about the broken blog. Very cute!:7

Cathy: Good luck drying your hair this morning.:p

I have either something B&G or BBC Butt and Legs on tap this morning followed by a run. I wonder if I will be limping around Atlantic City tomorrow night!? }(

I'll be back in a minute w/a hot cup o' java in hand to catch up on y'day's personals!:)

Greetings Cheetahs!

The week has gotten busy and we had some car trouble that ate up most of our afternoon yesterday. But anyway Hi to everyone !

Lorie- How did you sleep last night? You should be on the mend with those meds.

Wendy- If anything walking around Atlantic City will keep your circulation going and improve your DOMS (IMO)

Carole- So the home improvement is in full swing? Andthe new kitty has stolen your heart! We received and e-mail yesterday from a friend about 6 black lab puppies who need a home. They were found on the side of the road. DH wanted one, but really Rocky doesn't even like one of his brothers. I'm afraid he would run and live with a neighbor if we adopted a puppy.

Susan- My 'rule of thumb' for elementary school homework = 10 minutes for each grade. So a 4th grader should not have more than 40 minutes of homework. And they should have time to start it in class, IMO. It gets tough enough in High School for these kids. DD is in an International Baccalaureate Program. As a junior her classes are all college level and she will get college credit for them. She easily does 2-3 hours of homework 6 days per week. ( And she plays a sport too)

Christine- How did you like the new DVD? I did Yogalaties 3 yesterday but only 45" because of time issues. It felt good after my interval iTread and tennis match the day before. No DOMS this morning.

Hi Shelly!

OK, after the morning rush, I'm off for a relaxing 5 mile run/jog.

Judy "Likes2bfit"

I'm back and actually that java is half-way gone already cuz I was fartin' around elsewhere on the forums once I sat down with it!:7

Cathy: Enjoy your day and thanks for the coffee y'day morning, btw!:7

Wendi: How much longer until your injury heals?

Carole: Oh there's more DHe could be doing but I have 3 or 4 that are on the TOP of the list! I don't want to overwhelm him all at once!:p

Lorie: I like BBC. It's definately not Cathe as far as production quality, etc but they are good solid kick-butt work outs if you ask me!

Shelly: Short work out y'day! Were you not feeling well or something? :p

Susan: Good luck with the Brownie thing. I worked with a woman who had volunteered to be a troop mom and boy oh boy did she regret it! OVERWHELMING amount of stuff to do!

Christine: Cripple turned yoga instructor? AMAZING! Give Jimmy a get well squeeze for me!

ETA:

Hi Judy! We were posting at the same time. Yeah, the walking will do me good but unfortunately I'll also be spending lots of time sitting in front of the slots! Ka-ching ka-ching! LOL

Good morning ladies!

I'm sorry I didn't have time to check-in last night. I got home pretty late from work then got sidetracked by the whole "tin-foil hat origination" thread...how on earth did I miss that one the first time around!?!?!? That was some good entertainment :+!

I'm embarassed to report that there was no w/o yesterday, there will be no w/o today and probably not tomorrow either ;( ;( ;(. After my first horse, my ribs (and upper back) hurt so bad that I actually had to take a vicodin...which I haven't taken since the initial injury. After that, I was able to get through the remaining horses but it didn't feel too good. I was pretty tender all last night. I woke up this am with every intention of doing Lomax but, let me tell you, that was NOT going to happen. I'll probably end up back on the vicodin today to get through my riding list. This is officially beginning to suck x(. On top of that I ate horribly yesterday...borderline binged...and have no way to undo some of the damage. I am a terrible self-sabboteur. My eating had been great, I saw progress this week, the number on the scale is the lowest it's been since I was 10 and then I go and waste all of that effort. UGGHH!! Thanks for letting me vent. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.....

Carole - It sounds like you should make some good progress on your floors the next couple of days. I'm sure it will be beautiful when you're done. Have you ever tried to prophylactically supplement with lysine for your cold sores? I don't know if I want to tell you how I know it works but it sure seems to with the horses (and my SO) ;).

Lorie - ROTFLMAO at Linus' photo shoot! I'm glad you are feeling at least a wee bit better. Don't rush back too soon.

Amy - I'm sorry you're still under the weather. Hopefully it will clear up soon.

Shelly - That run sounds like it was fun but, OMG, BM2 and B&G? You're my hero .

Susan - Good plan letting yourself heal. Besides, it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate right now.

Gayle - In case you're still lurking here. I'm so glad that your "friend" has become your "boyfriend"! Good luck with your new goals!

Christine - It sounds like you had a fun w/o day yesterday! How's our little "conehead" doing?

Cathy - I wish riding was a big time calorie burner for me lol. One day, just for s#!%$ and giggles, I wore my HRM while I rode a bunch and was quite disappointed to see that my heart rate never got above 110 and that I only burned about 50 calories/horse (about 100/hr :-( ). I think my body has just become a bit too efficient riding-wise to really make it work hard. I'm sorry the neuro wasn't able to give you any answers...that is always so disappointing! At least, as others have said, you KNOW that it's nothing serious.

Wendy - Are those calves still protesting this morning? It sounds like a nice walk on the boardwalk will be the perfect thing to quiet them down a little...have fun! I thought my injury would have been a bit better by now, but I guess I was wrong. I just take it day by day. I was going to try to bowl tonight but, if it feels anything like it does right now, that will NOT be happening.

Judy - So sorry about the car problems. That always seems to throw a monkey wrench into one's schedule. Enjoy your run!

I'll try to check-in later to see what everyone has been up to. With the unusual heat we're supposed to have here I should get done a little earlier today. The poor beasties are starting to get wooly and just can't handle hard work in 85 degree heat.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all! It's been a nice mellow night at work:) Always a good thing!! My good friend Janet, who works with me at times, is also doing the Man against Horse race this Saturday, but she is a rider and will be on her mule Maddie. Anyway, she tells me tonight that Maddie is fired up and talking trash and is ready to kick my butt
LOL!! Uh oh, I may end up the day with hoof prints on my back!
I had a nice short run yesterday and today will be only yoga:eek:

Wendy- I'm feeling fantastic thank you! Since I'm running in a 25 mile trail race on Saturday I've been in the old taper mode. It'll be only some yoga/stretching today and resting completely tomorrow:eek:
Sounds like you're doing my kind of kick butt workout today!!

Judy- Only a true cheetah can call a 5 mile run relaxing!;-) Hope
you don't have any more annoying car troubles, With all the driving duties you do it's the last thing you need!

Cathy- That's great that the MRI didn't show anything awful (like a tumor for example) but I can certainly understand your frustration in not having an answer to the symptoms that have been troubling you lately! I'm afraid that in the field of neurology at least there is alot of unknowns. We still don't even know what alot of the brain does, much less how to fix it. Anyway, I'm glad at least that your stomach settled.

Christine- That yoga vid does sound intriguing! Is poor Jimmy still a conehead?

Lorie- I don't blame you for giving the LV half marathon a pass, especially considering what you are really there for! So when exactly is the ceremony and will you have any other friends/family there? Even if you only have time for a quick little meet up I'll be so thrilled to meet ya! Feeling better today?

Carole- did you catch up on yesterday's post and see the Lorie will be in Vegas that weekend? I do hope your dynamic sister trio can make it!!

Time to get back to work here.... I wish all the cheetahs a most fabulous Thursday!

ShellyC

Hi Wendi! Posting at the same time:) I'm so sorry to hear you've had a flare up with your rib injury:( Try not to beat yourself up too much over the overeating... My goodness, with your overall fitness level one day is certainly not going to have much (if any) impact!! Sounds like you could use a good non impact cardio workout for a while. How about bike riding?
BTW, I only did the ABS from B&G and BM2-- So no hero award today!

ShellyC

I opted for BBC Butt and Legs. I omitted the calf raises (for good reason!) and added inner thigh left lifts in their place. BURN BABY BURN. I LOVE THIS WORK OUT!}(

Off to get the little guy up and ready to hit the gym now! Perhaps we will hit the park afterwards as well but then it's home so mamma can start perparing for her weekend get-away with the girls!:7

BBL!:)

Oh, I was refering to JUST the ab sections! BM2's abs kick my arse for some reason, but I like B&G's. I couldn't imagine doing them back to back .

It's funny that you mentioned bike riding...I tried that at the farm for ha-ha's and found that it pulled at the area just a little too much for right now. Maybe in a week or so...but thanks for the idea!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...JC and CiCi have not spent much time together so we are keeping CiCi in today to see what happens. I started thinking again about the bunion. I started doing foot strengthening exercises when I thought I had PF because I read that we tend to get foot injuries as our feet get week over time. So I have been doing these exercises barefoot and I am wondering if they are also helping with my bunion pain?? I know the pain is not fun, I hope you find some comfy shoes to wear. Glad to hear the neuro Doc confirmed it was nothing serious. I think I would push also to see if there is some correlation to the increased migraines. Sorry about the nauseous run yesterday...hope that is gone today! Enjoy your run or kickboxing this afternoon.

Wendy...Good job with BBC B&L. Atlantic City sounds fun, I bet you will have a great time with the girls.

Wendi....so sorry the pain has flared up again...:(...taking it easy is the best medicine but so hard to do. I have tried Lysine and about everything under the sun for my cold sores. They seem to be mostly stress related or instead of getting a cold I get the cold sore. About 10 years ago my dermatologist recommended Famvir. It works great, and the cold sore does not blow up. I did try Valtrex once and it did nothing. Famvir seems to have no side effects and you only take it for 3 days.

Judy...the home improvement has been going on for a couple of months...slowly! The new kitty is very sweet and mellow. Oh my...it would be so hard to turn down lab puppies!!!

Lorie...Glad to hear you won't be on the prednisone long. it sounds like the meds are helping you...:)...Now that would be great to meet up with you in LV!! I will be running the half with my sister. I am with Wendi and missed the microchip thread too...I am for sure in the "WOW" club...:)..Linus is adorable in that hat!

Christine...yes, Sadie is smelling better. Glad to hear Jimmy has improved. Hopefully DH will be working hard today...CTX cardio is short and fun, good choice.

Shelly...I have heard that is truly a great vacuum. I was so happy with my bagless, beltless, it is strong but not as strong as the Dyson I would bet! Good job on the tough 3.5 miler. So Maddie is talking trash?? You will no doubt kick her butt...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/eng/wink12.gif[/img]..yes, I did see Lorie is in LV when we are. That would be so fun to meet up. Enjoy yoga today.

Susan...hope the hip flexor thing heals soon.

Gayle...good luck with Body For life! Doing something completely new does have its benefits. Glad to hear things are good with the new BF...:)

I am doing power circits today along with GS Back and some abs. I will do the power circuits from CTX, Bodymax and BM2...not sure how long it will take...but should be fun for the legs.

Have a great day...:)

Carole- Your power circuit hybrid work out sounds fun! Please let us know how long it takes and how it felt!

Gayle- I have the BFL book and it appears to be a sensible solid plan. I recommended it to a friend to who has difficulty eating well. She just really doesn't know what good choices are. Good luck to you!

Judy "Likes2bfit"

hi lovely ladies..

carole and shelly-i am still thinking about running the half. it will actually be the week after my half so i would be ready to do it. DF said he wouldn't mind. we will be there from thursday until monday and will DEFINITELY have time to meet up. we are just going ourselves because DF didn't want to make it a big family thing so we will have plenty of time.

judy-i thought the meds were helping yesterday and then i ended up having my worst day so far. i woke up feeling better but got worse. this morning, i feel a bit better but am going to rest and hope that the trend continues. the pred did keep me up again last night, but i think i did fall asleep around 2-ish (as opposed to 4 AM the other night).

wendy-i am looking forward to trying out bbc. i had visions of doing a light bbc workout today, but that will not be happening.

wendi-so sorry to hear your rib is still hurting!!! it must have been for you to have to take vicodin. {{{hugs}}}

christine-hugs to jimmy. linus and i send him healing vibes

cathy-yes, wasn't the thread crazy?!?! it does make for fun reading!!!

i am ready to go wander around the forums and will be back!

Good morning ladies,
I have a icky pooh dentist appointment today, I know I sound like a 5 year old. I HATE going to the dentist. It is just for a check-up and cleaning though;-)

I ended up just doing GS chest and triceps yesterday and no cardio. It was good and my eating was perfect. Funny how when you know you are not burning it off, you don't eat as much crap}( Today, I am going to do the elliptical and some ab work. The hip flexor is feeling better today. I still have some soreness and will not run til next week or do any kind of impact or weights. I am letting it heal, go figure(LOL)!!

Judy and Christine, my 3rd grader has had over an hour of homework everynight and when I blow any of it off, the teacher gets all over my case. It is RIDICULOUS!!! My 2nd grader also has about 40 minutes a night. I really feel like this homework thing is destroying the family. My 3rd grader was in tears last night at 7:30. Anyway, I really have to figure out the time management of it all.

Carole, sounds like a wicked workout! Have fun with it!

CAthy, glad the tests you had did not show anything serious. I know how frustrated you are though not knowing what it is. Glad your tummy is better:)

Wendy, You have quite a workout planned today. A run after all the leg work? You go girl!!!

shelly, So, only yoga????? Yeah, but it will probably be a 3 hour session}(

Okay ladies, I have to finish feeding my kids and off to the dentist. I will be back to finish my personals:)

SUsan

Gettin' ready to head out into the nasty mucky weather so that DS can play on his power wheels toy for a bit before nap time...

Just wanted to check in and say that after BBC Butt and Legs I went for ITread -n- Tush!

Will I be able to walk tomorrow? ;)

Wendy- your going to have the tight tush ever, but you won't be able to sit on the toilet!

Susan- How can an 9 year old focus for an hour of homework every night after 6 hours of school? Geez!

Judy "Likes2bfit"

Hi All!

The DH as an idiot syndrome must be catching. *sighs* Oh well… No workout this morning – I may run this afternoon and I may not – I’m feeling a little lazy and sore in the chest from BMax UB x2. :+

Jimmy has a new name – Conehead the Australian. Here he is in all of his plastic glory… Looks thrilled, doesn’t he? He did have me laughing when he fell asleep while sitting up, with his head down and the cone resting on the ground. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1308/4836116/10006168/281638203.jpg

Cathy – I haven’t gotten it yet – I just ordered it. I’ll let you know! Glad to hear the tummy was a temporary pain and nothing serious! Enjoy your run or kickbox!

Wendy - wow! You’re an animal! You Cheetah, you! Hope you can walk for your girls weekend!! Jimmy is squeezed. He wiggled his butt at you. :+

Judy – so do you like the Yogilates? I did the first 25 minutes of it yesterday and liked it more than I did the last time. Sorry to hear about your car troubles!

Wendi – Isn’t that thread hysterical? I’m sorry to hear you’re so sore! Ouch! Ya know – I do the exact same thing. I see progress, I get all excited, then it’s like I feel as if I need to “reward” myself and I turn into a mini-tornado consuming anything in my path! I hate it! But, remember one day will not waste all the effort. I sometimes find that one day like that and I end up losing more because I confused my body. As long as I don’t let them happen too often.

Shelly – Glad to hear it was a nice night. I’m howling over Maddie talking trash! Too funny! Enjoy your yoga and don’t chafe too much at the bit! :p Yeah, Conehead the Australian is still with us and crashing in to everything in his path…

Carole – glad to hear Sadie is smelling better! Funny you mentioned power circuits – I was looking at the CTX DVD and noticed the Power Circuits and thought it might be fun to do those. Sounds like a great, fun workout – but tough!

Lorie – Thanks to you and Linus for healing vibes for the Conehead. He’s much peppier and happier now. He’s still licking, though, so I need to keep him in plastic. Linus is simply adorable. I love his little face!

Susan – I hate going to the dentist as well. I swear now a days, no matter what, they find something wrong. I have no cavities, but they are always finding enamel that’s worn away, etc. I guess I should be happy, though – my mom had horrible teeth. Thank heavens I inherited mine from my dad! An hour of home for a 3rd grader is out of hand. They need to get outside and be kids. I don’t know what you can do, though. My 10th grader has that much a night – but I expect that. And I don’t have to help her.

Have a great day all!!! If anyone locates that silly putty hammer, please send it to me!

UGH! I haven't done a darned thing as far as packing for my weekend. I guess I'll be under the gun tomorrow. x( I hate it but it seems to be the only way I will pack...OH WELL.

Oh my gosh...I have such DOMS in my obliques! Holy cow does it hurt! LOL I also have some in my back too. My tris are FINALLY recovered just in time for bbc chest and abs tmrw morning!

Wendi: Sorry you probably won't be able to bowl tonight. I'll tell my DH to bowl a frame for ya!;)

Shelly: Yeah, I guess I kinda did do a "Shelly-Inspired" work out today, didn't I? That's to make up for all of the indulging I will do in A/C this weekend!}( I am sorry I won't be around to read your race report on Saturday night but I'll check in Sunday afternoon/evening once I get home for sure! GOOD LUCK! I know you'll do fantastic!!!!!:7

Carole: Your work out plan for today sounds just as painful as mine did! So how did it go? How long did it take you? Wanna hop the next flight out and join us in A/C tomorrow night? ;)

Lorie: LOL...BBC is not a "light" work out. Glad you thought better of it until you are recovered fully. So am I reading this right? You will be in LV to get married over the same weekend that some of the Cheetahs are meeting up for the HM there!?!? What luck! ENJOY! They are even more fabulous in person! :)

Susan: I know how you feel...I hate the dentist too. x( Running after leg work can be tough but it really helps to tone down the DOMS...any cardio really will do the trick though.

Judy: I am afraid you will be right about the toilet seat! I'll let ya know when I check in tomorrow morning! YIKES! LOL

Christine: Poor Jimmy. He looks so depressed. I hope he can get that danged thing taken off soon. Poor pup! :-( Oh I LOVE dogs who wiggle their butts!!!! I had a german short haired pointer growing up. His tail was very short so his whole butt wiggled when he wagged it! Sooooo adorable!:+

BBL!

Hi all - I got in All Step - that one is fun! Feels good to have worked out over lunch. Those workouts are perfect. Now I'm excited over the new ones. I was trying to figure out how I was going to do them - I'll get in a quick 30 minute cardio session over lunch!

Wendy - Just start with a list. I'm a bugger for lists. That way when you're crunched for time and tossing things into a bag (like I always do), you'll have your list so you don't forget anything. Yeah - I'm partial to wigglebutts, too!
