Cathlete
Good morning, my cheetahlicious friends :)

Hmm, thought someone else would’ve started the thread by now while I was off typing this in Word, but I guess not. Everyone still sleeping? Hope you enjoyed your Fourth festivities.

Today will be KPC’s Cardio Cond. Premix plus stability ball abs and a short Squeeze mishmosh. I know my legs’ll be screamin’ ‘cause they are pretty darn stiff this morning. :p :D But I do have that hot stone massage later this morning – perfect timing! I’m meeting a friend at the spa, and after our massages, we’ll go to lunch.

Catchin’ up w/ personals from yesterday…

Amy :: great job logging in another 4-miler!…enjoy KM today…k’box is my favorite cross-training workout and I think it complements the running very well. Try adding the KM leg conditioning drills after a run sometime – yowzas! :)

Wendy :: at least you were able to jet into the ladies room – I have been caught out on the roads with nowhere to relieve my bladder and thought I was going to pee my pants! Not a good feeling…Glad the tat was not irritated…love getting new kicks! I have been wearing the same model for a long time – if ain’t broke, ya know?

Jackie :: I have the X workbook, so I don’t need spreadsheets for that one, but thank you for the offer!!…At Dick’s, I bought three new pairs of running shorts, one Nike Dri-Fit tank and one tee, an Adidas warm-up jacket, a pair of spandex shorts (I like to wear them under my running shorts), a North Face fleece for skiing (it was only $18, originally $55), and a fleece jacket/vest that I’d been eyeballing in the winter (marked down to $22, originally $60). I really only went in to buy some new shorts (which I needed), so I felt a little guilty buying all the other stuff. But obviously, that didn’t stop me. *lol* Hope you enjoyed your day of relaxation.

Laurie :: glad the overcast weather kept you cool yesterday on your run…on a few rare occasions, I have had the skies open up and start raining during a sweltering run…now THAT is a Godsend!…*lol*…Yeah, I have started doing my own mishmoshes of B&G lately and really seem to like creating my own torture.

Shelly :: congrats on finishing 2nd in your age group!! That’s an incredible time for a hilly course in the heat! Hope you enjoyed hosting the BBQ. Sounds like a great spread!!

Carole :: WTG on snagging the biggest fish! I’ll bet you did get quite the forearm workout! Thanks for the info on freestyle – very interesting! Maybe I’ll try to incorporate that into my next rotation. I’m curious to see how the leg/glute-heavy rotation works for me…Love the animated graphics!

Hi to everyone else who follows. Have a great day!
Cathy :)

G'morning Cathy! Sounds like you found some great deals at Dick's, I love that store!! I have gotten some good deal on running clothes there too, and they have great kids stuff too. I got my dd some soccer shorts and her soccer cleats there in the spring on sale. What rotation are you doing? It sounds like a good one, I definitely want to do more lower body work when I'm done w/ the X!!

I didn't have a chance to check in y'day, my brother was here. Allison had a fabulous birthday, I can't believe she's 4!!! She was thrilled w/ her AG doll and she & Kiersten have been playing w/ them non-stop. My Mom came down & we had a great time at the pool but all got a little burnt. (even coated in sunblock, it was hot!) My right shoulder is very tender, my right side got more sun than my left. OUCH! Ratatouille was really cute, the kids really enjoyed it. Then we went out to eat. Scot ended up spending the night which is always nice. :) Scot & I went for a long bike ride which was really fun (22.5 miles). It was VERY windy on the way out, but great on the way back! ;-) We went to the local park to watch fireworks last night, lots of people we knew & the kids loved it.

Well, I think we'll head to the pool again today. It's going to be a hot, steamy day!! It was already sticky this morning, my buddies & I ran 4.70 miles. I felt great & definitely could have just kept going!! I'm still trying to keep my mileage low to keep the injuries away, but I just love finishing a run feeling strong. ;-)

Have a great day, Cheetahs!! :)

Ooh, looks like a good rotation, Cathy!! Thanks for posting! I'm trying to decide what to do until I start up w/ the X again. I don't have a few of those workouts though. BUT.... I did get Slow & Heavy when I preordered, that was one that's been on my wish list for ages! I think August 20th is going to be the next round! :)

Yep, Scot is the Army brother. My younger brother, Dave, lives in TX. He is not going back to Iraq for now, but will be going away for a couple mos for some more training. He's an EMT so he will be training to get other soldiers ready to go to Iraq (physicals, shots, etc). Then I'm not sure where he'll be going?? I'm just enjoying the time that he's home. We get along so well and I miss him terribly when he's away!!

Enjoy your day!

Good morning:) I'm just fuelling up with caffeine before my workout. Maybe B-Max2 step and some upper body. I've done something to my thumb joint on the left hand. Was hurting pretty good when I was massaging yesterday. I iced it last night but I'll have to take it easy on chest flies. I think I hurt it doing 20# chest flies a few days ago, I wish I had some weights between 15 and 20.

Cathy, you lucky duck:) Enjoy your hot stone massage. I think it's great that more people are allowing themselves to 'self nurture' with body treatments and time outs like spa days. What better way to bring some balance into our crazy lives:)

Jess, sounds like a fabulous fourth for your family (nice illiteration hey?;-) ). Happy belated birthday to Allison:)

My coffee cup is almost empty and I'm ready to get working out! Chat later Cheetahs:7

Good Morning Cheetahs!:)

I am changing up my usual thursday routine. I normally take spin but I am going to stay home today and tackle PUB again. I will also do some pull ups and ab work.

I have left myself 2 options for getting yoga in...if not tonight then I can do it tmrw at nap time as my only other work out for tmrw is a kickbox class in the evening. I hoping to influence my DH to get his butt back to the gym!:) On saturday I will then do PLB and more ab work and my week will be complete! It actually turns out to be a tougher week weights wise doing it this way rather then what I had originally planned. }(

I need to pull back the reigns on my eating if I intend to don the bikinis I have when I go on vacation at the end of the month. I have been eating too much in the way of crap and it's starting to show. x( I need to be super good from now until then. Ofcourse I have plans every weekend from now until vacation to eat "out" so my eating won't be PERFECT but if I can atleast eat on spot the rest of the time, I should be okay!

Alright...I'm done babbling. It's time to get the little guy up. He's wide awake up there! I think we'll go to the park this morning so long as it doesn't start to rain!:)

Oh and I got the call that my P/T dvds are ready! I am picking them up today, thank goodness!!!!

I'll be back later for personals!:7

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...that rotation looks good and kinda close to freestyle...:)...I really enjoyed catching those fish as it has been awhile. I tried to email you the Excel workout sheets but my email program was acting weird so I don't know if they went or not? let me know if you got them and if not I will try with my Yahoo account...:)...Enjoy your massage and lunch with your friend after a nice workout.

Jess... sounds like your 4th of July was a fun filled day. Good job on the long bike ride and run this morning. It is nasty hot here to so I will be running today early...

Laurie..sorry about your thumb joint. I like the Select tech dumbells as they have a 17.5 lb one. Enjoy Bodymax2 and some upper.

Wendy...that is great the PT DVD's are ready!!...Have fun with PUB and more pull-ups.

I am running early this morning and then doing C&B from MM, abs and Amy's APX Legs.

Here is where we fished yesterday

I just finished B-Max2 Bootcamp premix...I really liked it! I babied my thumb and it was okay...no push ups though;) Off to work now.

Carole, nice catch Girl and what a gorgeous setting!!:) Sadie looks like she takes her job very seriously:)

Wendy, go easy on youself honey:) We are our own worst critics, I bet you look awesome in your bikini and you DH already knows what a Hottie you are:D Enjoy PUB...my fave upper body.

Later Ladies:)

Just a quick check back to report my workout. Am on the run but will be back later for personals.

Finished the KPC cardio cond. premix - love that one for a good sweatfest in a short amount of time. Sure felt it in the legs! Followed that up with the stab. ball abs and my own Squeeze mishmosh - a quick one: Windshield Wipers Buns & Thighs (ridiculous name, I know, but it gets in there!), Fold Over Plank, and the "L" from hell *lol*. Just 14 minutes but a fantastic add-on to make my already tired butt & thighs scream for mercy.

Off to shower and then get all the gunk worked out of these muscles.

BBL!
Cathy :)

Hello Cheetahs!

How are you all today? I am good!

I slept in a bit, which felt nice on my tired runners body!

I have decided to take a 2 day break off from running. I will start up again on Saturday morning at the track!

This morning I am going to do Cathe's leg conditioning drills on Kick Max. I may even do them twice!

Wendy - Hope your tat is healing nicely! I have a daisy with some ivy, and then I have a heart that I designed with an angel sitting on top. The hailo is yellow and the angel wings are a light blue.
I love them. If I wasn't so computer illiterate, I would send over pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would actually post lots of pictures if I wasn't so computer illiterate. Maybe my DH can help me out sometime. I am sure it is so easy! :)

Cathy - I love Dick's. I get most of my stuff there for working out! Please tell us about your massage! Good for you! It is so important to do those nice things for yourself sometimes. Like I say - put a little money aside and plan for a spa day!

Shelly - Good for you on the hilly run! I have yet to do hills, but I am sure I will try it soon enough! Good for you!

Laurie - You are from Canada correct? I did visit Canada once with DH and we loved it. We did Quebec City (very touristy I know). Would love to go back again someday. The drive is not too bad from Boston.

Carole - Thanks for sending over the beautiful pics. I love fish. I am a huge seafood fan. Especially fresh!

Jess - Glad you had a great time with Scot and your family. Your girls are beautiful. Someday - I will have my own children I hope. DH and I just got married 2 months ago and we will enjoy the marriage for a bit alone before we include the kiddies. I can't wait though! :)

Everyone enjoy your day! Tomorrow is going to be an active recovery day. Absolutely NO exercise for me (yucky!).

Take care,
Amy

Amy: I am going for the physical trainer cert at this time. I am interested in group fitness as well but I wanted to do p/t first as it can be a f/t position if I want it to be where group fitness can not be unless you are WONDERWOMAN! LOL So when are you going to certify?

You ladies are not going to believe this but the video guy that transferred the video for me wants to hire me! }( }( }( He doesn't even care to wait until I'm certified! He really wants to drop weight and says he has equipment at home but needs the kick in the butt to use it!!}( }( }(

Yay Wendy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to you, you deserve it. I have seen your pics and you are Wonderwoman!!!!! ha ha!!!!!

I want to certify but there is so much going on right now. I hope to do it in 2008 for sure.

Best of luck, I am happy for you!

Take care of that tat too! ha ha!

hello,

wendy-cool about the guy hiring you. now kick his butt!!

carole- you have such beautiful areas that surround you. Makes me want to be there.

I have managed to run everyday this week so far. I havent ran 4 straight days in I dont know how long, well probably never. anyway, since I am on vacation I thought I would shock my body and run everyday with my friend. we have ran 20miles so far this week and we are going to run saturday also. I have bootcamp class tomorrow so I wont run. also, my house is completely framed and the shingles are on and all the doors and windows are in. I am getting excited. we will have soooo much more room. I am getting nervouse though because we havent had anyone go thru our current home yet and I hope we sell it before ourhouse is complete. these houses around here arent selling fast and if they do its for a steal. I really need to make a profit from my house and hope I dont have to lose any just to sell it. anyway, hope you all had a great 4th of july yesterday.

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendy - Glad the Mizunos work for you. I gave them a try and lost a nail in the deal. I think I should have gone 1 1/2 sizes more than my normal shoe size. I really won't blame the shoe. Good luck with getting DH back to the gym. Glad you got your dvd. How awesome is that the guy wants to hire you as a PT. That should be good practice.

Shelly - So, you took it easy with the 10K, huh? Yep, still a respectable time. Congratulations!! I have those feelings when I'm running a race to. Why do I torture myself and then look for another race. That's just my love/hate relationship with running talking. We do feel accomplished when we finish.

Carole - Great catch!! And, you get to catch salmon. How nice! Right now all I eat is seafood. The lake looks absolutely wonderful. The fish look almost as big as Sadie.

Cathy - I like Cheetahlicious! Enjoy that massage. I must try one of those one day. Nice finds at Dick's. I'm sure you deserve it too. I snapped up a Nike Dri Fit tank when I was in Nashville last week. It's pink and my favorite color. Think I'll run in it Sunday.

Jess - Glad Allison had a fun birthday!Good job on the run! Enjoy the pool. Bet it does feel good on these hot days.

Laurie - Sorry that your finger is hurting. Hope it didn't interfere with massages yesterday. You know how we like all fingers working us over.

Amy - Great job listening to your body.

Laura - Glad you've been able to get a run in everyday. Hope you can get your house sold soon.

I did an easy 3.5 mile run, S&H Chest and GBG stretch.

Enjoy your day!

Jackie

I just created a kick-butt circuit that I will do prior to PUB! It consists of pull ups/push ups/tricep dips/ab work. I will repeat the circuit 3 times. The ab work will consist of 9 of the 11 ARX exercises! Since I am adding this to my work out I am going to do the PUB Down Only premix...I am not crazy enough to attempt the ENTIRE PUB work out after pre-exhausting the u/b the way I intend to!}(

....Oh and I am NOT doing the Pyramid ab work today! :p

I need to straighten up the house before I get to my work out though so I need to get movin'. DS }(destroyed}( the house before going for his nap and I often times am so ready for him to nap that I forget to make him p/u his own mess! I need to atleast pick up the mess he made in the work out area so I have room! I also want to wash the kitchen floor so it can dry while I am exercising.

I'll be back later though!:)

The floor is washed and the work out it complete. Now I have to pick up the living room and kitchen clutter and then hop in the shower.

I promise I'll get to personals soon!

BBL!:)
