Good Morning Lovely Cheetahs!!
Laurie – I hope thinks cool off for you! And have a great time in Toronto!!! 3 YEARS?!? Oh Cheetah Babe, you need a vacation! I do know what you mean about a chess match trying to plan, though. If it’s not one thing… Glad you got it figured out! And congrats on your girls working – so many kids don’t. I think it’s so necessary to teach them responsibility.
Cathy - Sending cooling vibes to you too! That kind of weather has me sleeping a lot too. Glad you got your run in, but I agree – 80 degrees at 5:45 is insane.
Marcia – GOOD LUCK ON YOUR OPEN HOUSE!!! What an exciting time for you! Have fun on your run.
Jess – enjoy your circuit workout! I love those days! And Hey! Glad to hear you could run 4 miles with no pain!! Great news!!
Wendy – good idea to wait one more day. I’m with Carole – I think you’ll do 5 miles okay. You’re so impressive with the way you keep increasing mileage! One day you’ll be out running me! (which won’t take much more – I’m only up to 8 miles now). I like your idea – we should start looking into races in the Midwest…
Carole – Thanks for the update on your nephew! He’s still in my thoughts and prayers as is your family. I’m going to try the walnuts or other nuts as a sub – great idea. I don’t mind the calories as much as the unclean crap that goes with chips.
My hand is actually doing okay. I do have a high tolerance for pain, but I know the difference between good pain (muscle soreness) and bad pain (injury). Any move that hurt my hand I did not do, or I went very light on. The pushups tomorrow will be interesting…
Shelly – you HAVE to join us in Big Sur! That would be sooo fun! If you join us, I’ll absolutely up to the 21 miler!! DH is just shaking his head at me.
I put together my rotation based on Runner’s World calculator. It took my last race time and distance and calculated a training schedule based on that. It seems more logical to me than the others, so I’m going for it. It also has me running 4 days a week instead of three, which also seems more logical to me. So my run today is an easy 4 mile run at easy pace (they even list the recommended pace – I’m going to try to stick with that – love having a watch that does that). I’ll follow it with GS Legs. I know I should do GS Legs first, then the run to get the lactic acid out of the legs, but I'm not that brave yet! Especially with GS Legs.
I have to tell you ladies – I took my Mini in for servicing yesterday. I’m totally impressed by the service! They call daily with updates, they provide a free loaner car for as long as they are working on your car, and they wash the Mini before you get it back – every time! All of this for a car that was $21k. And the car is covered by a bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers EVERYTHING. Okay, so the car is the size of a postage stamp, but it’s much bigger than it looks and handles like a dream. My car is ready for pick up, so I’ll be doing that between the run and the GS Legs session.
