Cathlete
Morning, cheetahs :)

Feeling a bit groggy this morning but all will be good once I pour a vat of caffeine down the hatch! :)

Today is BBC Chest& Abs plus cardio. It's gonna be a scorcher, so I will probably opt for the KM timesaver instead of a run. I gotta be done early tonight to fast for tomorrow's bloodwork (routine). I must say, I really like how I set up this rotation with two daily options for cardio. Love having flexibility.

OK, I was last to post last night, so I'm caught up.

Have a great day and great workouts, everyone!
Cathy :)

Good morning cheetahs,

Today is my rest day so i plan on doing a nice 40 min stretch workout from....you guessed it itrain, hehehe

cathy- glad to have you back. enjoy your BBC's!!

christine- jimmy is so adorable. keep the pics comin'!

i am so happy since i start the YMCA job next week, i was able to cut down my night hrs at the gym so starting this week i am doing 2 nights instead of 4. it was hard letting go some of my clients but it free's up more time with my kiddos:7

happy workouts ladies....:)

Morning Girls!

I have spin class and tone it up + chin ups on tap for today. I should be good and tired later!}(

I am down half a pound of my "party weekend" weight gain. It can't go away too fast! BLECH!x(

Jess: So how did Kiersten do as an acrobat? Are you guys doing anything fun while your aunt is in town? I am glad to see you enjoying running again.

Sunny: Core Cardio was good. It was similar to Core Synergistics. I enjoyed it!

Carole: I guess I missed something over the weekend! Why are your ribs sore? You got hurt??

Jackie: LOL, I am sticking to my rotation as closely as I can but it was such an obvious place to sub in a Masters work out y'day that I couldn't pass it up!:p

Gayle: OMG I LOOOOVE eggplant parm!:9 }( :9 When is your garage sale?

Kristi: Pilates is FABULOUS for the abs IMO. I did it for a while and it really helped to flattened out my belly!

Christine: Jimmy is beautiful!!!

Marcia: Glad to see you back! Hope you feel better soon!

Cathy: OMG don't you hate when you have to schedule a utility type person to come to your house!? They have such a messed up way of doing business! My mom's BF was blown off by a Verizon guy not too long ago as well. ACK!x( I am currently fighting with Verizon myself. We have charges on our bill from calls to the same number that we didn't make. I called Verizon and they claim it's coming from our computer. We have a CABLE MODEM!!!!! How does a computer dial a phone number with no access to a phone line!?!? HELLO!!! I am calling back today. I am going to make a nuisance of myself until they credit me!}(

GOOD MORNING! Quick post again for me. I'm headed to Kindergarten this AM.

Garage sale is tomorrow and Saturday. I'm pretty much all set, aside from needing to price everything. I worked last night to get my garage all set up, and that was the big task.

This morning's workout was Leaner Legs, plus extra leg work on the weight bench (curls and extensions).

Hey ladies! Well, I was up early to be a Wheetah, but my buddies had to bail. Poor Erin is fighting off something (she hopes not a cold!) and Melissa is packing. They are doing the Rock & Roll San Diego Marathon on Sunday. So... I did the first part of YogaX. BORING & I was yawning all through it today. I normally enjoy it, but just wasn't in the mood for it. It was supposed to be done y'day but just no time.

Legs & Back + ARX is on my rotation today so I'll do that later. Just feel like drinkin' my coffee & relaxing a bit for now!

Thanks for asking about Kiersten, Wendy! She was a beautiful little acrobat (she had her pink leotard on & I did her hair in a *fancy* bun) & she did her cartwheels just like she's practiced them a hundred times. :p The circus was so cute, they all did a great job. It's been fun having Aunt Carol here, she's like having Greg's Mom around (not surprising as they are sisters! LOL). We didn't do anything really other than play some games & she went to church w/ us last night. It was nice though. She's heading back to my MIL's this morning. Then it's time to do some laundry & get things back in order around here! It's the girls' last day of school other than Monday to go pick up their report cards. They have a *play day* today w/ lots of fun games & activities.

OK, guess I'm feeling a bit chatty after my cup o' coffee. I might have to crash for a nap later, 2 days of getting up at 4:30 is hard on me!

Cathy ~ I'll join ya in a cup o' coffee! I bet you can't wait til school is out! Enjoy KM, one of my favs!!

Sunny ~ Enjoy your evenings now w/ less clients! I hope the job at the YMCA works out well for you! How's the clean eating going? ;-)

Wendy ~ Why is it so easy to gain while indulging & then so hard to take off?? So frustrating! Enjoy spin class & chinups. I'll be doing them later w/ L & B!!

Gayle ~ Have fun helping in the kindie class today & hope the garage sale goes well for you!

Christine ~ Love the pics of Jimmy! He's such a cutie!

OK, everyone else have a fabulous day!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Cathy - Glad to see you back here. It is not the same without you around. Are you ready for school to be over for the summer or what? Any word on teaching next year?

Christine - Jimmy is ADORABLE. The butt mohawk is cute. Keep the pics coming.

Jess - Glad to hear that you are running again. You are becoming quite a biker lately too. :) Glad Kiersten's acrobat performance went well. I bet she was adorable. Any big summer plans with the girls?

Gayle - Good luck with your garage sale. I can only have mine on Saturday, but I'm going to have it from 7-2. Let's hope I sell all of my baby stuff. Otherwise I'll be donating it to the daycare and Goodwill. How's the clean eating going and journaling coming along? I've went back to journaling my every morsel. I helps a lot with keeping me accountable and making healthier choices, even though I still eat too much processed food.

SunnyD- That is smart cutting back the night hours so you can see the boys more. They are only little once. You won't regret your decision.

Carole - Are your ribs still hurting from your fall?

Jackie - You are an inspiration with your workouts. Keep up the great work!!

Today will be a lower body workout. Not sure which one yet. I guess I'll have to come back later and tell you all what I decide. Have a great day!

Hi to Shelley, Wendy, Susan, Judy, and any other cheetahs I may have forgotten.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...glad your tech got things working again! I did the Timesaver premix of GS BSB. The ribs are much better today. I think when you get older you fall much harder! Good job with B&G leg blast last night. We are having some warm temps too. Summer always hits to fast! Enjoy Chatty Rich. Glad your rotation is working well for you..

Sunny...way to go on skipping the cupcakes! Enjoy your iStretch today.

Wendy...yep, I took a spill in the 1st 20 feet of an 8 mile trail run last sunday. Never saw that dang root. Fell hard on the dirt and rocks. Some scrapes but the ribs hurt the worst.

Jackie...there are lots of options on the motionbased site. I use the free version so it could be more basic. Not sure if it draws out a map but I think its a possibility. I feel the same about Tracey workouts, not a huge fan.

Gayle...good luck with the yard sale. You gave the legs a killer workout.

Jess...YogaX got boring for me quickly. I usually forwarded thru the 1st half hour and enjoyed it a lot better!

Kristi...the ribs are much better today. Enjoy whatever lower body workout you decide on.

Christine...that is awful about the pizza. Hope you are feeling better today. Love the Jimmy pics...front and back!! So you might visit your family during the RT??...:)

Marcia...nice to see you again. Sorry for the female troubles. I really hope you get them straightened out very soon. Good job on the new shoes, they always make running feel so much better.

Well, my workout was cut short yesterday as my DH ended up in the Emergency room with severe SVT's, which are kinda like heart palpitations. I know Shelly could explain this well! He has had this problem off and on for about 3 years. I have told him time and time again to see a cardiologist and get a stress test, but as the procrastinator he is...His Dad has had heart surgery and also a stroke so to me, this is nothing to ever put off. He will be getting the stress test tomorrow with a cardiologist. Keep him in your prayers...

Today I am doing KV's GWW legs, GS C&T, abs and 30-40 min on my EXT.

Have a great day...

Kristi ~ Yep, I'm a biker babe now. My dh said last night that he wasn't worried that I'd get my money's worth out of my new bike! ;-) It's a great workout & lots of fun w/ my friends. So which workout did you end up doing? I'm procrastinating w/ Legs & Back, I'm tired!!

Carole ~ Hope your dh is ok. Keep us posted & I will keep him in my prayers. Glad that you're recovering from your fall- ouch! Great workouts planned as always!

Jackie ~ I see we were posting at the same time. Hope your hamstring is feeling better. I'm sure Erin will appreciate the good thoughts. I use the silver band for the firewalkers & you definitely feel it!!

OK, I really must go do L & B now. I'm seriously thinking a nap is in order today, 2 nights in a row of less than 6 hrs sleep is catching up w/ me! *yawn*

Good morning ladies!

Kristi - Good 4 mile run! I'm sure you will be back in the groove before you know it.

Christine - Jimmy is so cute! He's such a ham! Will have to check out Krav Maga.

Marcia - Good to see you post. Hope the health issues get resolved for you. So, how did you like the shoes? Good luck with the HM training. All of this extra running has really leaned me out some more.

Cathy - Glad you're back!! I would definitely modify the x moves and the last cycle. Some of the moves just don't flow right for me. It may be because I can't get them all down.:7 My treadmill is getting a scheduled maintenance check today. Of course, they will come somewhere between 8 - 5. They will call and I'll run home.

Sunny - Glad you were able to stay away from the cupcakes. Enjoy your stretch today. More free time at night! That's great!

Wendy - Know you're happy to get rid of the weight gain and bloat. Glad you enjoyed the Masters.

Gayle - Good luck with the garage sale. Nice workout today.

Jess - Hope Erin is ok. Glad Kiersten made a beautiful acrobat.

Carole - How scary with DH! Hope he's ok. Will definitely keep him in prayer. Enjoy your workout today.

I did about 30 minutes of CC #3. Got in 2.7 miles. Stepped down on an uneven sidewalk Tuesday and felt a little pain in my hamstring. So, I decided to skip running yesterday and to do an easier one today. Pulled out TJ Booty Sculpt + Abs. This was a good 30 minute workout. Got to use my new band I bought for firewalkers and boy could I feel those leg lifts. Finished up with Tony and GBG stretch.

Have a terrific Thursday!

Jackie

Hey Ladies:) Busy week with work, birthdays and our exchange student. Elizabeth's b-day was yesterday she is now 18! Her and I had a lovely dinner for 2 at a fancy French restaurant, so nice. She's so lovely, smart and gosh she can make me laugh. Today was DrillMax and MM upperbody, yesterday was a great 8k and the day before was 35k bike. It took me an hour to go west but coming east the wind just kinda blew me home in 40 minutes...to fun!

Cathy, boy those hot temperatures came early! Kinda sucks that we seem to have lost that gradual transition between cool spring and hot summer.

Sunny, that's great that your schedule is tightened up. Sounds like it will be a better flow for you.

Wendy, have fun spinnin' and tonin'.

Gayle, hope you have good weather for you yard sale. Gosh, I haven't done LL in ages...enjoy }(

Jess, I find that as well, I really have to be in the mind set for yoga. If I'm mentally prepared for a ride, I'd have a hard time settling into yoga too.

Kristi, have fun with your mystery workout:)

Carole, I had no idea your DH had troubles like this in the past, you must worry about him. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you and hoping all goes well for him. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for him to pay more attention to his health, I'm sure it's tough not to nag at him sometimes.

Jackie, I love firewalkers, can't get enough of them }( Good call on giving your hamstring a break, it'll thank you for it:)

Christine, what is not to LOVE about Jimmy, he's so handsome! Your pictures brought Donny Osmond singing .... 'and they called it puppy looooooOOOOoove'. Too cute!

My 16 year old Marley made the local cheerleading squad that competes on the provincial level. Big time and money commitment...the season costs about $3000.00 for gym fees, travel and uniforms!! Marley works and is a good little saver so she'll contribute which is great. Tryouts were Sunday, the DOMS hit her pretty quickly and up until yesterday she was walking pretty funny. She's thrilled to be on the team, I'm really happy for her.

Take Care
Laurie

I’m back from my lunch workout. I decided to do GS Legs Timesaver #1. It is short (33 minutes) but effective. It had to be short so I could stop by Walmart on my way back to work to pick up poster board for yard sale signs so I can get them ready tonight. My plan is to put them out tomorrow so people will see them and want to come to my yard sale on Saturday.

Carole – I’m sorry to hear about your DH. Good luck to him tomorrow on his stress test. He will be in my prayers.

Jackie – Good job on the 2.7 miles. Nursing your injury will pay off in the long run. No pun intended.

Laurie – Congrats Marley for making the squad. It is amazing how expensive of a sport cheerleading is. Happy Birthday DD Elizabeth! You sound like a very proud mom. BTW, your workouts look awesome.

Good Morning all –

Did Cardio Coach Choose Living this morning and had a wonderful time. I just so enjoy that workout! Then DH had to drop me off at work because of our 4 cars, only 2 are working and DD18 has to work today at the mall – which is much further away than my office. I offered to ride my bike in, but DH did not want me to – I don’t know why. I guess it’s just as well – I really don’t have a way of carrying my laptop and various other stuff… Fun, fun. I may join the group after work for a fairly easy ride – just around the reservoir – there’s only one decent climb, the rest is rolling hills. But that depends on the car situation.

Cathy – more blood work? Wow! You must have very thorough doctors. Sounds like a great workout you have planned!

Sunny – enjoy your break from working so hard! Glad you have some time for the kiddos! They are so cute! I would have a hard time leaving!

Wendy – sounds like a great workout! I hate that weight gain from over indulging (but I love to over indulge!). I’ve heard rumors that Verizon workers may go on strike.

Gayle – good luck on the garage sale! Hope you make lots of money!

Jess – Sounds like you had a fun time! Sorry you didn’t get in your bike ride! Hope your friends do well in the marathon!

Kristi – Enjoy your workout!

Carole – oh wow! How scary! I’m glad he’s seeing a cardiologist! He’s definitely in my prayers! As are you! Hope you get to finish your workout today! Oh, and my family who lived in Philly have moved for 2 years to Manchester England with his job. They are enjoying it, but I have no family local any more (lots of friends, but no family), so no I won’t be there over the RT. Bummer.

Jackie – amazing how it’s the small things like stepping down on an uneven sidewalk that can really bother us. Smart to relax a little today – although I read your workout and laugh at the “relax” part. Yeah, Jimmy knows he’s adorable. He’s a serious ham. Goof ball.

Laurie – Happy Birthday to Elizabeth!! How wonderful that she can make you laugh! Sounds like you enjoyed your bike ride – I love it with a nice tail wind! Congrats for Marley! How exciting! Cheer is expensive!

Waves hello to all who follow. Jimmy goes for his last round of puppy shots this weekend, then I’m going to start looking into doggy daycare once or twice a week. He’s becoming very high energy. The 5 mile hike wore him out for a bit, but by 4PM he was up and acting like a pogo stick.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Spin class was awesome as usual. I packed my stuff and took a shower at the gym and then it was off to the park to sweat some more! Man it's hot here today! LOL We played on the jungle gym for about an hour and then it was time to come home for lunch and a nap. No, I haven't taken one myself...YET!:p :7

I couldn't find the motivation for Tone It Up and chin ups this afternoon so I will do them tomorrow. Tomorrow was slotted for yoga so I will do that tonight instead at 8pm when DH leaves for bowling and DS is in bed for the night. :)

Off to do something constructive before I DO lay down for a nap!;)

BBL!:D

Hellloooo there, cheetahs…

Early dinner, early workout tonight and then fasting begins at 7. :( (I hate fasting.)

Sunny :: thanks! I rec’d your PM and the check is in the mail!!…That’s terrific about having fewer night hours!

Wendy :: yes! absolutely! I really did not consider internet service a utility, so I was shocked that they expected me to stay home from work on Tuesday and wait around. As far as I’m concerned, Verizon sucks! Customer service is an oxymoron. Good luck getting your issue w/ them resolved!

Jess :: I find the YogaX to be boring ALL the time! I would try to distract myself by looking at Tony’s gnarly feet. *lol* …I am looking forward to summer, but I will miss this year’s group of kids.

Kristi :: thanks!…No word yet on what’s happening for next year. Have fun w/ whatever lower body workout you decide on! ETA: Whoops, I missed your second post of the day. So you did the GS Legs Timesaver...trying to remember if I've done that one before...

Carole :: Sorry to hear about DH’s scare/wake-up call…will definitely keep you both in my thoughts!!…Oh, OK! So THIS is the BBC w/out with the babbler. Thanks for the heads up! I doubt he could be worse than Jari with her carb report.

Jackie :: hmm, I think CSF is the one where I only did the first half hour of it…have only done that one once. Yeah, isn’t it funny you can’t even get the treadmill guy to commit to an appointment?? I’d like to say I’m going to start paying the bill sometime between the 1st and 30th of the month…how would THAT fly?…It’s amazing how just slightly awkward footing can mess ya up. Hope the hammy pain subsides.

Laurie :: all 3 of your girls sound like well-rounded, responsible, terrific kids, which means ya done a great job, mom! :) Congrats to Marley on making the squad…Wow, you sure have had some killer workouts this week, eh?…Yeah, there’s never an in-between, is there? It’s really humid out there today…if I didn’t have to fast tonight, I’d just push back the run til it cools off a bit later, but as it is, I’ll happily do my KM premix in the comforts of the A/C!!

Christine :: wow, you have 4 cars?…The bloodwork is just routine – mandated monthly because I’m taking isotretonoin. Hopefully, I’ll be done soon.

OK, better get moving soon.
Cathy :)

Hi ladies. Quick post before we head out to DS' baseball game.

I sold over $60 worth of stuff today and the yard sale doesn't even start till TOMORROW! LOL. I've got a bunch of baby stuff out there, too. It's hard to part with it, especially when I know I still want another baby, but it's not in the cards anytime soon, so off the stuff will go (hopefully, lol).

I forgot to mention yesterday that when I stepped on the scale (use my friend's digital high dollar one every Wednesday), I was down 3 pounds since last week. Seems the bloat and over-stuffiness is subsiding successfully!

BBL, sorry to hit and run!

Gayle

Good news, I'll probably be able to meet up with the gang and go riding after all. I'm very excited! It's the easier route to the ride I did last weekend, and if I meet up with them, I can drop off near my house and not have to ride all the way back.

Cathy - yeah 4 cars - we have 3 drivers with the cars that are driven frequently and the old Saab convertible (as old as DD18) which has 90k miles on it and works most of the time.

OK, workout done. I see what you guys mean about Rich. Wanted to mute him. Aside from his chattiness, though, I don't think this is going to be one of my favorites. Afterward, I noticed I was running short on time, so I opted to try 10-10-10 instead of a KM timesaver. I liked the first two portions, but the step part turned me off. I'm sorry to say, I'm just not crazy about step. Period. There's an aspect to it that makes me feel like Jane Fonda and Olivia Newton John should be on either side of me, donning their leotards and leg warmers. OK, I'm done hatin' on step now. Forgive me. :p ;)

Gayle :: GREAT news on the pre-sale sales!!

Christine :: Have fun with your group ride! I can just see Jimmy sitting there in a little sidecar...no?

Good night, ladies!
Cathy :)

50 minutes of Yoga X is DONE! I needed that! I am ALREADY sore from today's spin class despite the yoga/stretching I just did! YIKES! I could be in trouble tomorrow!:p }( :7

Good night!:)
