:::CHEETAHS::: TGIF!!!

Back again cheetahs. It is humid out there.. had an enjoyable but very sweaty run. I couldn't help but be amazed at the difference in my terrain of running from just a couple of months ago!!

Cathy- Yes, it was STEAMY out there today, even at 0730, after a 4 miler I was soaked! Thanks for the run down on the core workout... I think I will give that one a try. Hope you like the Cytomax!
How do you like running with the camelbak? I dont care for the feel of it myself. Oh my...
that is some wallpaper!!!! Very inspiring posts this morning.

Lorie- Alright... kick that old cold virus into the gutter already!! a nice rest day should do the trick.
My schedule for August isnt out yet but I should be able to attend that Friday class in Aug... it'll be great to meet ya!

Judy- Sounds like a fun golf night for you. Have a great HIIT workout and I'm sure you'll make the most out of the weekend with your DD.

Wendy- Man, I hate those "where are you" phone calls!!! Actually, a pretty stupid question when they are calling you at home and you answer. Hope you accomplish everything on that busy agenda.

Wendi- Personally I think you're going to smash that 2 hr HM time goal!

Carole- LOL about getting off the floor... some eye popping posts today eh? Glad Wendy's cold water did the trick (LOL) What's the workout for you today and how is the air outside?

Need to tidy up this place now and get ready for company (DH)

OK, I have to add one more shot of my dreamboat Iker Casillas, then I'll mop the drool off my keyboard and stop, I swear.

Carole ~ I have to say, they had the appropriate choice of adjectives this morning...pretty gross out there! Wish you could get some straight-up rain without the lightning. That guy is a real idiot! Enjoy UP+, abs, and your run.

Wendy ~ I am still not sure how that other PM was routed to my other email address. Well, when I created a new account last summer so I could have a different user name, I had to use a different email. Guess the system got confused.

"Do you want to feel my spatula?" Run, Fat Boy, Run

Jackie – thanks for the recommendation on Kimberly Spreen’s Absolute Kickboxing. Thanks for allowing me to rant! :p I might skip the picnic and go shopping instead. :p

Shelly – WOW! I’m glad you managed to wake up in time! Glad the traffic was light, but man that must have been surreal. I hate when I do that because I feel off the rest of the day. I’m glad you have 5 nights off. Glad the job is good. If you are suggesting a chiro, I think I need to investigate. I would like to be healed sooner rather than later, especially as my ride is in 2 weeks. :O Too cool that you are sooo close to Cathe!!! Hope your run is fabulous! I hate the breed bans. Spanky should not be banned from anywhere. It’s the owners who abuse and encourage biting who should be banned. Sorry to hear you’re going through that.

Gloria – Oh yeah, I was rather reckless. I’m older now, and I’m not sure if I’m wiser, or if the falls just hurt more :+. Oh no about the bike and not being able to get it down! That would be annoying. You’ll have to keep it down for the summer. You’ll still get a race report. I’ll ride the 25 miler if I can’t do the 65. But I’ll try for the 65. I love Yoga for Happiness. Eoin is too cute, and I adore him. Your shrimp sound like they were fabulous!

Lorie – Hope you’re feeling better sweetie! There is nothing like a soccer playing man – especially his legs!! Yummy! Thanks for sharing. I rode my bike on my trainer, so it was indoors. Right now it’s just icky outside The mountains that around about 5 miles away are hazy. Hopefully they will be out soon. Thanks. Enjoy your rest day. I’m on one with you.

Wendi – so sorry to hear the class will not be taught by Cathe. Glad you had a nice run! When is your half? And really enjoy your weekend off! You need it!!

Cathy – I’m tired of a “rutched” back. I will be asking around work for chiro recommendations. I’ve been convinced. Spain is hot this year. They beat the Italians for the first time in 30 years – of course it was in major over time, but… Go Germany!! I would have enjoyed the program on the 10 year old girl. Poor thing, though. How tough to carry such a burden! You and Lorie must stop making me drool. :+ Very pretty boys…

Wendy – I like to change things up, too. I was enjoying my TT/KB/P90X+ rotation. It all seemed to fit really well. Well, this weekend is a chili cook off and a black tie event (see my response to Judy). Next is 3 days in Napa with friends, so that should be fun. :p Hope your AC plans come through!

Judy – We’re going to a chili cook off tomorrow and a black tie event on Sunday (the 25th Anniversary of good friends of ours – they are holding a black tie event to celebrate – it should be very fun, if I can find the right dress!). Sounds like a nice weekend for you! Enjoy your time with DD.

Carole – LOLing at your response to the eye candy today! I’m really considering a chiro, we’ll see. I want healed as quickly as possible and if a chiro will help, then so be it. I cannot believe the idiot who started the fire by mowing his weeds. What an idiot! I cannot believe we have 800+ wildfires burning in the state and there is still debate on Fireworks. I think we can handle ONE 4th of July with no fireworks. Jeesh! Enjoy your run!

Well, ladies, the bike ride I took yesterday was plain stupid. My back is worse. So, today is no workout, and I’m not going to ride for a week, hopefully the 65 miler won’t be too painful. :p I’ve been feeling sorry for myself, and that translates into emotional eating. That HAS to stop today. I’m feeling like a blob, and I’m sure the bloat and extra weight are not helping my back. So today is a rest day. I may even consider a chiropractor. :p Happy Friday all!

Holy Cow, chatty cheetahs today - I love it! I just wish I had time to read them all right now. I'm just flying through quickly with hopes of catching up later this afternoon.

I taught two Intro to Turbo Kick classes last night in a row and I have DOMS like crazy this morning. I LOVE IT!!! }( I think the classes went over really well, so hopefully it will gain momentum and fill up.

I'm off to help DH bartend over the rush hour, I'm bartending tomorrow night and we are four wheelin' on Sunday.

Hopefully I'll get back a little later to check in on all of you cheetahs, have a SUPER weekend!

Marcia.

Christine ~ Oh yeah, that was an exciting game decided by PKs!! Did you see it? The ref in that game STUNK and overlooked quite a bit, IMO. I'm happy Spain advanced. They're a good team, probably better than the German squad this year...I'm feeling blob-like myself. Let's get back on track together...I can't believe people are demanding their fireworks given the situation. Now that just defies all logic!...Sorry your back just seems to have been exacerbated. It is so tough with back issues. Even what seems like a minor "rutch" can limit your movement quite a bit. Hope today's rest makes a difference. Happy dress hunting!

Hey Girls.

Just poppin' in to say that this morning's run was FABULOUS!!! I did Cardio Coach Volume 6 and I kicked ARSE! I wasn't PERFECT--I had my moments where I tried to go too fast too soon and had to pull back-- BUT by the end of the 3rd challenge I was running at 7.0 on a 3% hill! WOOH! I can FINALLY start looking forward to my TM runs again. YAY!:7

Oh and although I still love Grace,I am officially in love with Coach Sean now too. :+ After resisting for quite a long time I am finally starting to "get" why everyone loves CC's so darned much! :)

Off to pack up the little guy! I'll be heading out to drop him off up north in less then an hour!

TOODLES!:D

Wendi: Nice run! Getting in some good miles there. I am sure you are enjoying your time off. That stinks about Cathe's class. Will you be going any time soon?

Shelly: Yes, I am now officially on summer vacation. This will be the first summer in a few years that I haven't worked. It's going to be nice. It is hot and humid out there today. Christine is right about the pitbulls. They are owner impaired sometimes. Sorry you can't have them there. I bet it will be nice to spend time with DH.

Cathy: I hear you on the heat! You got some great workouts in early. Nice. Now those are some handsome boys!!!!

Lorie: Yeah, I really like that dvd. I know it stinks to rest when you're sick, but it will hopefully run its course quickly. Love the tantrum girl. I feel like that sometimes, actually today. My computer mouse is on the brink and it wouldn't go where I wanted it to!

Judy: IA on the visuals today! Enjoy the weekend with your DD!

Wendy: I'll be chillin' like Bob Dylan this summer. LOL! I plan on working out, reading, cooking, kayaking, biking, etc. Just some good ol' summer time relaxing. Nice run there. I am almost convinced to try the CCs. Have a nice weekend.

Carole: We did have a great day, thanks!! Some people have no common sense! I am glad he was arrested. Nice plan for a workout today.

Christine: Dang it! I am sorry about the flare up. :( I always wait to go to the doc and it has proved not a good strategy. Once the bike is down, it will stay down. I'm thinking of using our ladder. It is currently in the spare room, so at least I could say I made a dent in cleaning it out for my workout room and get my bike at the same time. Sounds like a fun weekend. I think a chili cook off would be fun. I like watching Bobby Flay's Throwdown on Food Network. He challenges chefs with signature dishes and it's rated by judges.

Marcia: Two classes in a row!! Go girl! Have fun four wheeling!

Ahhh. Feeling good. Had a good last day and the kids enjoyed the ice cream. Looking forward to relaxing. Ran 5 miles this morning and felt great. I was going to do yoga again today, but I'm just not feeling it right now so I will do it tomorrow. It's hot out there today. Ellie hasn't been running around, just lounging on the porch watching the critters. Hope a great day is had by all! :)

Gloria ~ your summer plans sound perfect...Great run this morning. What time do you usually hit the streets/trail?...Hey, I think we should start every day with some nice eye candy! :7 ...I stopped at B&N today to pick up a hard copy of NROL (thanks, WT!) and bought MORE stinkin' professional books. Do you believe it? I really must stop. I picked up a good one on writing by Barry Lane. Well, the beginning has been good so far...I get like that when my cursor jumps. Happens occasionally with this new laptop. Don't know why...it does get irritating. http://www.customerssuck.com/board/images/smilies/smash.gif

"Do you want to feel my spatula?" Run, Fat Boy, Run

Cathy: Yeah, I was so ticked about it that I drove all the way back to town and bought a new one. Little things like a new mouse can be an amazing feeling! :) Love the computer graphic!!! I hear you on the buying thing. Our pay is spread out year round and my last paycheck in June is for 6 pays. I do this every year and am decent at budgeting, but have been a bit carried away lately. See post below. I don't know Barry Lane. I was talking to the secretary at school about getting reimbursed for the books in my Amazon cart you told me about. She told me just to put them on my order for next year and it will be paid for. We get $315 a year for supplies. I am pleased, but will not get them until August. It is better for me to have them pay for it so I will be patient and wait. On my way back home I was thinking I might have to start watching those soccer games and wondering if I got the channel!!!! LOL! :) I ran the treadmill this morning. I expect I will be waking around 6:30 so I will have coffee, computer time, and hit the road. I have a hard time running in the heat, so it will have to be early. I am starting to get a little stressed about the race since I haven't really been training. Before my half marathon last summer the furthest I had run was 10 miles, so I am sure I will be fine.

I am thinking about pre-ordering part 1 of STS and giving the rotation a go. If I like it, then I will bite the bullet and get the other ones one at a time. I know I will be paying more, but I do not want to buy something that expensive and not use it. Then I will have the expense spread out too. I know they have the payment plan, but I just want to make sure I am going to stick with it. I just can't imagine not having something of Cathe's that is predicted to be so fabulous. Ooooh, the weather has turned and it is really raining out there. Looks like we are in for some thunder boomers!! :)

Happy Friday Cheetahs!

Checkin’ in from the fireball state, California….(cough, cough,…the smoke is soooo thick at my house!) I’ve not been able to run outside at all so the boring runs have been on the dreadmill with ipod music and watching the lovely Bobby Flay… my apologies for not being able to post much lately but you know how it goes with me sometimes – just not enough time to read and post. Today is DS16 birthday and we’ll be celebrating tomorrow with his favorite requested meal: barbequed chicken (marinated in Yoshida’s) and mashed potatoes. The kid loves his mashed potatoes! I’m supposed to run this weekend but since the smoke is so horrible still for me, I’m thinking I’ll try the spinning class and a solid weight workout at the gym in the morning when the dogs are at the groomer. This way I can get in a Jacuzzi and steam as well!

Gloria – Hope you are enjoying your last day of summer school ! YEE HAW! By the way, I noticed in a response post a few days ago you commented on the movie Winn Dixie…lol… I too love that movie! So much that I OWN it! LOL when the kids have friends over and they’re perusing the movie selection, I sometimes hear them say, “oh, ya, that one is my mom’s”…lol…

Wendi – That’s a great run! I’m sure you’ll have no problems with a 2 hr goal – keep it up, girl!

Shelly – Glad you enjoyed your run and WOW sounds like you have a wonderful apt located near the river and running trail. I loved the humid runs I did when I visited back near Charlottesville, VA… but I bet it is quite different terrain than what you were used to in Arizona. I agree that the stupidity of irresponsible pit bull owners has caused the unfortunate circumstances for the responsible owners.

Cathy – What core workout? Huh? Dang, I really need to go back and read the stuff I have missed! Maybe I’ll get to that tonight. And Cytomax? Oh yeah, I forgot about that stuff – I used that long time ago before the accelerade – good stuff the cytomax – hope you like it! Did you find a camelback? Guess I better go back and read !  You girls are naughty today! “Fantasy” football…LMAO!

Lorie- LOL! Youz guyz and postin’ the men! I must be lame cuz I’d rather see the likes of my man Frank (in his 40’s) lol…and let see, I also like to look at Bobby Flay and ..um.. oh and believe it or not there’s something attractive about Nicolas Cage… I know, I know…go ahead and LYAO! Hey, you goin’ to Aruba?? Wow, we stopped there a day on our last cruise. We went on the sail/snorkel excursion on the MIDUSHI we had a total blast! If you like to snorkel, you should look into it. http://www.midushi.com/

Judy – enjoy your golf night with hubby and I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your DD!

Wendy – hey! Have a great weekend and I didn’t get a chance to congratulate you on your name being in the LIGHTS! Wow, you go girl! Very impressive!

Carole – Help, she’s fallen and can’t get up! Lol. OMG can’t believe the idiot mowing the dry weeds..wait, I DO believe it and I agree, where the heck do they come from??? I still see dumba$$es throwing cigarettes out the window. Those are the times I wish I owned a big ol’ humvee to run ye azzez over! Let’s hope we don’t get anymore action from the lightening predicted in the next couple of days!

- Ok, yah, them boyzz are pretty SMOKIN” hot! LOL –

Christine – awe, I hope you get some relief for your back! Definitely go to a chiropractor and DO get a massage! It really helps a lot! OK! STOP the madness now! No more feeling sorry eating! Please tell yourself not to mess up all your work in those hard core workouts you always post! Ok, hope I helped! Now go get that massage!

Marcia – Howdy! Good to see you round’ the Cheetah den again! Have fun bartending!

Ok, hope I didn’t forget anyone! I have to get back to work now…lunch is over – dayshift today – I’ll try to catch up on the reading tonight so I’m not so out of the loop!

Have a great rest of the FRIDAY!!!

POSH :7

Evening ladies!

Just checking in from mom's house. You know, it's a good thing I don't come and visit more often as there is *nothing* healthy to eat here :p. There's so much cheese in the fridge and you can bet that it's shouting my name...but I shall resist. Oh brother, when's dinner, I'm dying here LOL!

Gloria - Glad you had nice run today! WOOHOO on your last day of summer school. Boy, that went fast! I'll probably head down and join the RT early birds for the Friday classes...hopefully I'll be able to get those days off.

Shelly - Glad you had a nice, yet very sweaty, run this morning. The humidity was killer today...yuck! Thanks for the vote of confidence regarding my half. Gonna keep truckin' :D. I'm so sorry that you'll have to kennel. It always saddens me to see breed prejudice taken to that extreme. I've known four pitbulls and I can tell ya they were the sweetest things on four legs. However, the most ferocious dog I've ever met was a nasty, little chihauhau (sp?)...so there ya go *rolls eyes*. I don't see anyone putting a ban on ankle biters.

Cathy - Great workout today! You know, I might have to give soccer another chance if that's the kind of *ahem* talent that's out there...me likey! Sorry your laptop is being fussy :(.

Lorie - Glad to hear that you're taking it easy today. Nice pics!!!! Thanks for tantrum girl...very appropriate but, whatchagonnadoaboutit, right? Um, yeah, horse show mornings (3am-ers) just plain suck. Then you get to wait around aaaaaaaaaaaaallllllll day twidling your thumbs. We call it "hurry up and wait".

Judy - Sorry to hear it took you so long to get your swing back. That does sound like a tough course! I'll bet you're going to enjoy the 9 holes with DH tonight...sounds like fun! WTG with NROL4W...hard to believe you're to stage four already. Enjoy the visit from DD!

Wendy - Glad you had a great night pre-bowling! Well done!!! Yeah, our pair played very different...left lane was hooking like a mother and the right was much, much tighter and longer. Made for some interesting adjustments. Add the new pins which = lack of carry and it made for a competitive match. Okay, I'm such a slacker, but HUGE CONGRATS on yur top ten!!!! You rock! Also, fantastic TM run today...you're on a roll.

Carole - You are too funny! You guys had me rolling this morning :7. It's truly remarkable how stupid people can be, isn't it? My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affect by those fires. Are you running outdoors? Is it smoky near you?

Christine - It sounds like you've got a wonderful weekend planned...I'm so jealous! Honey, please rest that back. I have to second the suggestion of seeing a massage therapist. You'll be ready in two weeks and you will stop the emotional eating and you will have a great time on that ride! I'm right there with you with regards to the eating and I'm putting my foot down for both of us, okay? I'm looking into a HM I found on Oct 12. I'm trying to get a course map cuz I'm a little worried about the terrain. It's in an extremely hilly/mountainous area and I don't want to kill myself the first time out lol.

Marcia - Glad to hear your classes were a smashing success! Oooh, nice DOMS you've got there. Have fun four-wheeling Sunday!

Posh - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DS! Gosh, I can't believe how scary those fires must be! I can't blame you for taking your runs indoors. Besides, some jacuzzi time sounds NICE! OMG, LMAO at your post to Carole...you kill me!

Gonna wrap this up for now. I'm thinking I'll get a nice kickbox mish-mosh in tomorrow morning before my mother gets up. I just have to remember to land softly since I'll be upstairs, directly above where she sleeps :p. Thank goodness it's carpeted. Hasta manana chicas!

Gloria - wow, that is an interesting way to get paid. We just get 20 checks per year over 10 months. The game is on Sunday - 2:30 pm on ESPN. :7 I have a couple of Lane's other titles. Creative mini-lesson ideas. He really teaches outside the box and with humor...Good of you to be patient and wait for the titles. I thought of doing that, too, but I want to be able to READ them before the school year starts since I know I won't have as much time then.

Posh - oh, you're crackin' me up again, with running the dumbos over & havin' the hotskis for Bobby Flay! *lol* Happy b'day to DS. That kid sure knows a good meal. :7 The core workout was from this month's RW. I did get a Camelbak I'll be trying out this weekend. Sorry you've been relegated to the ol' DM. That truly bites!

Wendi - oh no, I'm not having any laptop issues at the moment. It's a nuisance that happens occasionally and rather randomly, but for the moment, all is good. :) OH, may the force be with you to resist that cheese. I'm not that strong! :7 Enjoy the kb mish-mosh tomorrow.

OK, off to get ready & go grab some cold bevvies. Have a great one!
