Insomniac cheetah checkin' in here already...I've been up since 2:30--ack! I'm sure I'll pay for this later. But I might as well take advantage and get a workout in *before* school. (Have to because I have two happy hours AFTER school today, but most likely, I'll just stop by one of 'em.)
OK, let me catch up with yesterday's posts...
Sunny :: congrats on the PT job!! Fantastic! And good luck with the YMCA fitness director position. That sounds like a plum spot. You have a lot cookin’ over there, don’t you? Good for you. It’s always good to have choices!
Wendy :: no apologies necessary for your posting order. I don’t really pay attention to that kind of thing. And I definitely didn’t think you went off on a depressing tangent…please do share when you feel like it. I leave on Christmas Day. BTW, my social life is not really all that boomin’. *lol* I think you should absolutely get your certification – it sounds PERFECT for you. Seriously. DO IT. Great job on the TM yesterday!
Marcia :: sorry your class was cancelled, but I’m sure you enjoyed an early start to your break! Oh no—drama! I hate that, too. What kind of shenanigans go on in your office, I wonder? I love the calendar, too.
Laura :: I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. It doesn’t sound corny at all to say that she was with you for your children’s births. I believe they can still reach out to us. It doesn’t happen that often, but there have been times when something too unexplainable to be coincidence happens to me, and I know it is a little “hello” from beyond the grave. Thanks – I do feel better. At this point, sniffly, headachy, and still fatigued, but I can function.
Christine :: Glad you’re back and that you enjoyed yourself in Philly. We missed you! No problem at all – I know your visit was short, and this time of year is so crazy, anyway. I’m not sure I would’ve had room in my schedule either between work, social functions, and being under the weather. I’ll be skiing in Breckenridge, CO. So where did you shop out here—KOP?
Carole :: Re: the Retin-A Micro helping...Not so much. As a matter of fact, I had my dermo appt. yesterday afternoon, and we have decided to do Accutane. You’re right…it’s probably stress and a hectic schedule that made me a little run down. I think I can manage a workout today and tomorrow, though, so at least I won’t feel the week’s an entire wash. I am going to check into the colloidal silver next time I stop in a health food store. I wrote down the name of that stuff and have it tacked to my board here. Love the comment from your neighbor! It does feel good to get those kind of props. That’s funny—I bought a TM years ago for those inclement weather days, but I still would rather run in the rain/snow!
Jess :: I can’t wait til your girls are well again and none of your posts involve the mention of vomit ;-) ha ha. Hopefully they are on the mend now, so you can all enjoy your Christmas (and stop having to spend money on co-pays and scrips! YOWZAS!)
Laurie :: yes, wrangey is right! My colleagues are impressed, though, b/c I have invented a new holiday to contain the kiddies (Seinfeld fans will appreciate this one): TESTIVUS! I gave three assessments this week to keep those buggers on their toes. It’s brilliant, if I may say so myself. ;-) *lol* I hear you on the closing in part! Way to squeeze in a workout into your busy day!
Susan :: hope you enjoyed the party in your oldest daughter’s class. No apologies for not having much time to post. I think it’s understood we do personals when we can.
Elaine :: hope you have a great 8-10 miler today! I do always think of that when you mention your brother – how young he was. It does, I think, make an already painful loss even more so when it seems a light is extinguished too soon. There is not much that can be said to comfort, is there? So simply: more (((HUGS))) comin’ atcha.
Colleen :: I loved the visual of the kids reading & snacking while the snow was gently falling outside. Sounds so cozy! I’ve run in the snow a few times, too – it can be treacherous for a klutz like me – but I know what you mean…I did think it was fun. Lucky you having a white Christmas!
Have a great Friday, everyone! I'll try to stop in again later.
Cathy
