*~*CHEETAHS*~* Sunny Sunday

Good morning sleepy heads:D!

*LOL*, just kidding ladies! Well, I think this is the first time us east coasters have actually seen the sun in about a week:eek:. Too bad it's going to start getting cold:confused::mad:.

Just finished up a little KB mish mosh...4DS KB, KPC Med and High Intensity Drills, KPC Abs. Ahhhh, felt great this morning! Maybe it was the cappuccino I had first thing...hmmmmm, gotta start doing that more often:p.

Let me go clean up a bit, make my lunch, and then I'll be back. TTFN!

Good Morning Wendi and all who follow! :)

How is everyone this morning? Apparently we may be seeing some sun today in Jersey as well. FINALLY!

Not sure what today's work out will be since I rested y'day. I could pretty much do any combo of what's left in my rotation. That being said, I will NOT be opting for the lower body floor work. My bum is still mighty sore! Perhaps some of the CTX UB and a run will fit the bill nicely.

DH has been bugging me to make sauce (Italians can be a pain about that!LOL) and I finally agreed to do it y'day. Well, as it turns out HE ended up making it under my supervision. He was going to help me by being the one to watch the pot and stir it once it was put together but he ended up doing EVERYTHING. :D Anyway, with that came a last minute decision to invite his family over for dinner tonight since we are planning on having baked ziti or lasagna now that we have good sauce. This means along with my work out(s), I'll be busy cleaning and I have to run to the foodstore and then make dinner for them.

I started feeling better last night. I hope it's a continuing trend. I don't want to feel like gargbage today when I've got a big to-do list to get through!

Okay, enough of the babbling...on to personals...:)

Cathy: I had the word "relief" in there but you are so passionate about your job that I thought perhaps it was the wrong word to describe how you felt so I took it out. :) So where'd you head off to last night? I see your social life has picked up right where it left off pre-marathon! :) When I referred to jumping around I meant that you won't be doing any intense work outs because of the DOMS in your lower half. :D I didn't go to Target y'day. I was suggesting that perhaps YOU should! ;)

Dallas: OMG how cute that the boys were checkin' out the girls. How old are all of these kids? I know my son isn't even 4 yet and he is all about the girls! He has a little girlfriend in school already. ;) Hope you enjoyed the B'day party last night. Did you pick out something HAWT to where? ;)

Gloria: Hey, no worries about the long explanation. I read it with great interest. Yeah, I can see why you would no longer put fast race times on the top of your priority list these days. Glad you had a nice time with your mom. I don't know what your reasons for not seeing her much prior were and it's not my business so I won't ask, but you are right. Every day is a new day and I am sure she is loving seeing you more frequently now. :)

Wendi: OMG reading your post made me remember a joke between DH and myself back when we were dating. We used to refer to
;)toys;) as power tools! It was quite funny. :D Yes, you MUST try B&G with a weighted vest on but girl, do NOT try it the day before you have a long riding list to tackle!!!!!

Okay, I think that wraps up personals from last night. DS is complaining up there. He obviously wants to come downstairs. Let me go get him.

BBL!

Freshened up and ready to head out the door for work:confused:. I am soooo not looking forward to working ouside today....BBBBRRRRRR!

Wendy - Too funny about you, DH, and "power tools". Riding list or not, I don't think I'd *ever* be tempted to to attempt B&G with a vest:eek:...that workout scares me enough as it is:p. But, yeah, you're right, there would be NO riding after that! Glad you're feeling a bit better but kinda feel for you having a monster day ahead of you. So how on earth are you gonna get in a workout, a run, cleaning, shopping and dinner all in one day???? YIKES! Hope your lasagna is a hit...I'm sure it will be!

Gotta get going, grrrr. Maybe I'll have a shorter day on account of the gusty winds???? I've been hoping for that all week with the rain but have had no luck in that department. My house is in shambles and I really don't want to spend my entire day off tomorrow cleaning:confused:.

Have a great day Cheetah babes!

Good morning, cheetahs, and happy Sunday!

Dallas—hope you had fun at the surprise 40th. Nice that you had more comfortable facilities and DD did well hangin’ with the boys. I am still running, just not as many days/week as I would like to. Between work, weather, and then that quirky, little knee/ITB thing, I’ve had to take what I can get and be happy! J I will say, after only one week of increased yoga, that was absolutely the right move. I went out for dinner and drinks.

Gloria—wow! That was lucky you didn’t break your hip. I feel the same way as you about running. There’s just nothing like it for me—it’s the place where I mentally “get right.” And I often think how good it is just to be out there and able to do it…Hey, there is truth in those ol’ clichés. And personally, I think it’s the right attitude. There is sometimes a tendency to get fixated on what we’ve screwed up or what we’re NOT doing or what’s going WRONG in our lives rather than thinking about what’s going RIGHT, what we’ve done that’s good…I sometimes do my own practice based upon the routines of my first yoga instructor. I definitely had that book…great job with a tough 4miler. Enjoy your day to yourself!

Wendi—You have been one Haulin’ and Dumpin’ Cheetah lately. 1.75 TONS now?! Holy schnikies! I do like BM2 a lot. You can bang out a great u/b workout in a very short amount of time with that one—somethin’ like 25 minutes, I think. So far, it never fails to give me chest DOMS. Nice KB mosh this morning. Hope you have a grrrrreat day and stay warm!

Wendy—oh dear—LOL—yeah, many of us are passionate about what we do, but end-of-marking-period-hubbub is just a normal part of the job, and I did not mean to make it sound like a major big deal. It did make me smile when I read what you wrote. ‘Cuz sometimes—regardless of what you do for work, I feel this must be true—it does feel like an accomplishment just to make it to the end of a day, doesn’t it? *LOL*…Went to a favorite local hang last night…I got ya on the jumping thing. Meant I wouldn’t be doing it, anyway, regardless of the DOMS. A little jumping with k’box or bunny hops, yeah, but the hardcore stuff like the air tucks or whatever they’re called—noooo, not here. J Oh silly, you know I am at Target weekly…Sounds like you’ll be a busy, entertaining cheetah tonight. Enjoy!

Later today, I’m aiming to get outdoors for a run…in the meantime, I have some other running around to do as well as lesson plans.

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...LMBO thinking about Elaine dancing!! I like The Mentalist, it is a good show. Thanks re: Beau...:D. We got a lot of stuff done yesterday and it is a good feeling. Good job with BM2 weights and the EXT. Hope you had a nice time out with friends last night..:)

Wendi...We got some ran last weekend, but friday the temps started back up. Like mid 70's for today! Thanks for the packing vibes, they sure helped...:)..Loved your KB mish mosh...Hope the wind is not too bad for you today.

Wendy...The PS upper body work is nice as some of the moves are different than the rest of Cathe weight workouts. I did feel a bit of DOMS in my glute from Fridays lower body work yesterday while we were moving/packing Mom. It feels fine now. Way cool DH made the sauce. I bet it is tasty...:)

Shelly..I bet the 10 hour sleep session was a good thing for you. My DH and I have been tempted to go to the landfill instead of paying for trash pick-up. Great workouts yesterday! The packing did go well despite oldest sis backing out (as usual!) We all got a lot done and it was a good feeling.

Dallas...Yes, it was a long day but we accomplished a great deal. The fires down south seem to be still bad! LOL about the boys checking out the girls!! Sounds like a nice facility for indoor soccer. Hope you had a blast at the 40th party. I think I remember mine..:)

Gloria..I hate the cone thing too! But have had a few laughs on what the dogs knock over that they cannot control..:D...The packing went well. Founds some stuff (crafts/cards) I did when I was 6! Talk about funny.....I did have very nice writing though. How did DH do deer hunting?

Christine...we always worry when a cheetah is MIA...:)...Beau was 6 months yesterday. He has gone hunting twice and DH says he is performing like he was about a year old. Thanks for the neutering tip, I thought it was about 9-10 months. Sorry work has been so busy for you. Glad you and DH got out for a nice dinner.

Jackie...No, I won't try running with Beau for about 3 more months. We did get a lot done at Mom's house. I never ate much before any runs before I started marathon training. Now it is a must especially a long run. Do you like oatmeal? That does not seem to bother the tummy. I have also used toast with PB and now I just use any kind of cereal before my long runs. Good job on keeping the 10 min pace. How are the legs feeling today?

The packing went very well. Everyone was there except for my oldest sis (she had to water her plants!) I see this as a common occurrence for the next 3 weekends. I got a couple of things my Dad made. A spice rack and bookshelf. (He was very good at woodwork). I got a painting my Mom's BF did of me when I was in 2nd grade. I will have to take a pic of it to let you girls see it...:D. I also got some of her glassware from the hutch that she didn't want anymore. My sis Cathi and I came across some OLD pics when we were about done and laughed and cried...:)

We are planning on 18 miles today. Then some FB and taking care of some housework I have neglected!

Have a great day...:)

Hiya cheetahs! It is seriously blowing out there today with temps in the 30s:( As much as I loathe the idea of being such a weenie I think I will do my 8 mile run today down in the basement on the TM. I'll do the highway patrolman workout... that's a 10-4! (after a warm up, 10 min at race pace, 4 minutes recovery and repeat as necessary. ) I go into work today for an unusual shift 3p-3a. Don't really care for that but fortunately it's not the norm.

Christine- Sounds like you are being dumped on in a big way at work! Sure hope it lets up on you some soon poor cheetah!
Wendy- I didn't realize you were still feeling sick. I'm surprised the doc gave you a scrip for an antibiotic tho since it's likely a virus... whatever, I hope you're feeling better soon. LOL about downgrading your BMF to MF status... but he's deserved it!

Jackie- AWESOME job on your 10+ mile run yest!!! Great for under those circumstances. You definitely don't want to be doing runs that length on an empty stomach for sure or you'd be paying the price for sure so it's good you can get something down.

Cathy- Yes, you are most like Elaine in her assertiveness anyway! You definitely are not neurotic tho!!! Hope you don't have to deal with this wind later today for your run!

Dallas- It can be a challenge to focus my mind sometimes at the end of a 12 hr nite shift. Fortunately I've been doing this for so long when problems occur things just come automatically to me, like a button being pushed. Where I really have problems tho is in the drive home... my mind has "let go" so to speak and I really have to struggle to stay awake!! Your indoor soccer sessions do sound like fun and I bet your kids have a blast!!

Gloria- Do the kids actually WANT to go outside in N. Michigan during recess in the winter????!!!! Yeah, that duty wouldn't be one I'd volunteer for! I'll have to remember the CW-X pants. Not in my budget right now unfortunately but eventually I want to have a good set of high quality cold running wear! My upcoming marathon temps will be mostly in the 30s so I'll just do what I can for now and think warm thoughts!

Wendi- Poor Nick the kitty! does sound like he is going thru hard times. Good thing it wasnt a metabolic disorder... so no ongoing lifetime medication. Hope it can get pinned down soon! Great that you are making progress on the dump pile!! Nice KB workout today.

Wendy - OKAY where is this sun you and Wendi are talking about??? Hasn't made it's way to southern PA yet I'm afraid. It's very windy out today and quite cool! The long range forecast for the Philly marathon looks like it will mostly be in the 30s... wise decision of you not to go for it! (LOL) I had to smile at your description of your DH and his sauce. I have my own Italian DH and he is also ultra picky when it comes to sauce!! Hope the family dinner goes well for you tonight and the clean up isn't too bad.

Carole- If you have a pick up it will save you a substantial amount of money to haul your own trash to the transfer station! Since there is only the two of you you probably will only have to make the trip once a month which is approximately what Jerry and I do. Garbage pick up usually costs at least $30./mo. Transfer stations will usually charge around $5.00 for a pick up bed load. LOL about your sister having to water her plants!!!! OMG, can you get any lamer of and excuse? I'll be interested in hearing what she'll come up with next weekend! Great bonus also that you are getting some nice keepsakes!! WOW, going for an 18 mile run and it isn't even December!! Will you be backing down on the long runs or keeping them up all the way til taper period in Feb?

That catches me up for now. Hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday!

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Are we doing a Christmas card exchange this year? I was putting together mailing lists for mine, and thought about that.

Wendy – Hope you’re feeling better now! I cannot imagine DOMS with a cold, though – ouch! Sorry for the scare. I can totally see the worry with DH and everything going on. I also can’t believe you used a weighted vest for B&G. You’re amazing! I’m making lasagna tonight, too. But I’m not inviting anyone over. :p Sounds like you had a good time cooking together.

Jackie – Oh, sounds like you are enjoying running with RP! He’s really working you hard. Sorry to hear his little one is sick. I find I run better with some simple carbs in my belly.

Cathy – I don’t blame you for hopping on the EXT yesterday. I’m not a fan of the treadmill.

Dallas – Three soccer games?! Wow! Oh, yeah, the boys and girls start early now, but it’s pretty light. Glad it’s a nice facility with nice potties. Amazing what a difference that makes, isn’t it? Yes ASC3 is fun – definitely give it a go!

Gloria – sorry to worry you! We’re fine, just busy. Glad you had a nice time with your mom! Did you enjoy the fire and the time by yourself? Will you see DH much during deer hunting season?

Wendi – I don’t know where you get your energy! I’m impressed. Glad you didn’t have to ride today! Oh those fires are far to the south. We’re not even getting the smoke from them, thankfully. I’m hoping we get some good rains – we need them. Pay increase? You’re kidding right? :p Enjoy the sun today! Sounds like a great mish mosh you put together!

Carole – Yeah, I know we do worry at MIA Cheetahs. Sorry. Oh wow – great news about Beau! Glad he’s such a great dog. He probably loves it just like DH does. Work is work – it will get better once I get everything under control. Your older sis had to water her plants, huh? Good heavens, could she at least come up with a REAL excuse?! Sounds like you got a lot accomplished and had some fun doing it. Sounds like you inherited some nice things! I’d love to see the picture!

Shelly – Sounds like a great workout you’ll get! I’ve done similar things with Spinervals. Interesting time to work. I don’t blame you for not liking it. Glad it’s not a normal occurrence!

Yesterday I did one of my new Spinervals – Tuscan Training Ride. I pretty much climbed Mt. Lemmon. It was a tough workout, but beautiful. I miss the desert, so I enjoyed “riding through it”. Today, will either be a ride outdoors or a hike. We’ll see. I got a lot done yesterday, including writing most of the Christmas letter, getting the address labels printed for the Christmas cards, wrapping some presents, etc. I just wanted to get a jump on things.

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendy - I may try changing up what I eat and see if that helps the tummy. 6 miles or less and I can usually make it ok without eating. But, do think I need something for any longer. We got some sunshine today too. Yippee!! Enjoy dinner today with the family. Glad you're feeling better.

Cathy - You don't pump your own gas in NJ??? I think our last station that did that stopped a couple of years ago. My mom has never pumped gas in her life. Since this station stopped doing it, she now gets my brother to do it for her. Glad you enjoyed your workout yesterday. Good luck with your run today.

Dallas - Good job for DD putting up with the boys. Cute about the boys checking out the girls. You tell them to look only though! :D How was the party?

Gloria - I used to get sick to my stomach if I ate and tried to work out. Now, if I do, I just try not to eat a lot. Good job on the 4 miles and lead legs. Yoga had to feel good. Glad you enjoyed your visit with your mom.

Wendi - You're getting the job done girl! Glad you enjoyed your non riding day. I am so loving my new RP. And, I love his wife and kids for loaning him to me. Think he normally only runs 3-5 miles at a time. Nick's diet does sound a little familiar. He at least has someone to make sure he sticks to it. ;) Nice workout today.

Carole - Glad you got lots done yesterday. Sounds like you found a lot of keepsakes. I may give PB and a little banana a try next week. Yesterday I had about a 1/2 cup of Kashi and some soymilk. Didn't eat anything on the run because I was afraid it would bother my tummy. I did stay hydrated though. Have a good 18 mile run today.

Shelly - Like your Highway Patrol workout. :D Hope work isn't too bad for you with that odd shift.

Rest day for me today. I surprised at how well my legs feel today. I have a touch of soreness in the hamstrings but that's it. That's good considering I could hardly walk yesterday without saying OUCH! Think the moving around instead of sitting helped.

Woke up this morning to no power and temp in the 30's. Stayed in bed until power came back on. Now, I'm behind. Need to get ready for church.

Enjoy your day!

!

Good morning everyone!

Jackie - Looks like I am going to have the same conditions to run in today that you did yesterday! We are having snow shower, wind and cooold! Great job on your run! That is great that you have such a good running coach!

Cathy - Enjoy your run later! Great job with the EXT and weights!

Shelly - I really want to stay inside on the TM today, but I haven't run with Patty since the marathon and we decided to run a 5 miler today. Man, is it cold and windy! Grrr! You asked about "Dove". It is a series of 4 workouts. Her name is Dove Rose. They are light weight, high rep workouts. I have only done two of them, so far. She is an excellent instructor! They are definitely "burners", but I don't know if I will like them "in the long run". I didn't have any DOMS afterwards, to speak of. Enjoy your 10-4 workout! Sounds like a good one!

Carole - I can't believe your older DS did that to you guys because she "had to water her plants"! Good grief! I am sure it was so bittersweet to pack your mom's things. I always cry when I go through Mom and Dad's things, especially when I look at "old pictures". Every single time!!! That is so good that you got some of your dad's woodwork! Wow! Enjoy your 18 miler!

Wendy - Glad you got some meds and that you are feeling some better! Enjoy your workout....and send some of that sauce my way!!!

Wendi - Don't work too hard today and try to stay warm! Good job on you KB workout!

Karen - Hope your mom is doing okay! Sending good vibes and prayers you way!

Dallas, Posh, Judy, Christine! - BIG waves!! (hope I didn't miss anyone! If I did...not intentional!)

Hey to everyone! I will try to check back in later. Gotta try to figure out what to wear outside for my run. It is 35....very windy and spitting snow. And it seems like yesterday it was hot and humid and I was complaining about that!

Linda

Hi Ya Cheetah Babes!

I'm back from the gym and the foodstore and feel pretty accomplished even though I still have a few hours of work left to do. :)

I ran a 10 min average pace with Grace today to ITread 26/30 mins. Great work out! Fast and flat baby! YEAH! :D

I doubt CTX will find it's way into my schedule today but with the run done I am sooo not gonna worry 'bout that. :p

I am still coughing and don't feel 100% right now but I'm sure it'll only be getting better as the days go on. I just hope I don't hit a wall and fall apart physically while I'm prepping for company as the guest list went from 2 people coming over to most likely 7!:eek:

Linda: I've often wondered about those Dove work outs. I think I am going to try Tracy Effinger's Squeeze work out first though as the price went down since she released her new one. I think I'll put it on my Christmas list. ;) Hey, why don't you come for dinner tonight? No problem fitting in at 8th person at this point! Why not! :D

Jackie: Usually my only problem with food and work outs stems from not eating ENOUGH of it! LOL Only once in a great while is too much food an issue for me. :p That being said, I remember the days of working out after a full dinner and I must say that as much I have to eat before a work out, I can't imagine going back to doing most of my work outs after dinner. YIKES.

Christine: Yeah, the DOMS made me feel worse. As it is DOMS can make me feel like I am sick-similar to the body aches I get when I run a fever-even when I am 100% healthy so y'day wasn't fun. It still hurts but not as much today thank goodness. No worries about worrying us. All that counts is that everyone is OKAY! :) WOW, good job getting a jump on Christmas stuff! You'd never catch me doing that stuff so early! LOL I've done a little shopping but that's about it.

Shelly: Sorry about the out of the ordinary shift you have to work tonight. I hope it doesn't wreak even more havoc on your sleeping pattterns. :( The sun is out here but it's definately EXTREMELY windy and cold out as well. It's not NICE weather but I'll take it over the dreariness of the past several days.

Carole: Water her plants!?!? ROFLMBO! She might as well have said she had to wash her hair. :D I can imagine the memories that came back to you while packing up your mom's house. How nice that you were able to take home a few momentos. That's so nice. I plan to do the November rotation once I get my hands on the PS series. :)

Cathy: Yes, definately can be tough to make it to the end of the day...no matter what you do and how much you do or don't love it. Heck, I love my son to pieces but man oh man there are times I simply can not wait for nap or bed time!!!;) So no air tucks for you, ey? Lucky girl! They are brutal to say the least. I haven't gone on a good Target shopping spree in quite some time but I imagine Christmas shopping will take me there soon enough. A Christmas present to myself may just have to be an order! :p So have you been Wii'ing much lately? DH and I need to have ourselves a GH night real soon. So much fun! :D I am going to put Wii Fit on my Christmas list. I'd also like to get the skiing game that goes with it. Sounds like tons of fun.

Wendi: I hope you can find a way to stay warm today! I really think you need to try B&G with a weighted vest. I imagine the next time I do it w/o the vest it will seem easy!!! That's a good reason to try it, no? ;)

Alrighty, off to grab lunch and then get to work!

BBL when I need a break!:)

Afternoon, cheetahs— :D

Carole—what a trip down memory lane for you yesterday. Guess it was a blessing in disguise that older sis stayed away to take care of “priorities.” ;) At least you didn’t have to put up with her BS in person! I’m glad you were able to take home some of your dad’s handiwork and a few other childhood treasures. Looking forward to seeing the painting. Hope you had a great 18.

Shelly—love the sound of that highway patrolman workout. Very clever! Oh yeah, the wind is fierce today, isn’t it? I wasn’t expecting that. I ended up opting for an indoor run as well. No sun for us, either.

Christine—you do have a great jump on things for the holidays. I joined you today. I needed to pick up a b’day gift and happened upon a 20% off sale at Hallmark. I purchased all my cards, wrapping paper, labels, and a few small gifts. Great ride today! I have been getting better about conquering my loathing of the ‘mill. Well, ‘cause I know I can’t rely on the EXT.

Jackie—no, we don’t pump our own gas. I think we are the only state that does not, curiously. Thanks for the good luck wishes. I am happy to say there have not been any further twinges in the knee. BUT I wonder if heading back outdoors where I’ll hit the hills will make a difference. Glad to hear your legs are feeling good today after that punishing you gave ‘em. Don’t blame you for not leaving the warm bed this morning.

Linda—hope the run wasn’t too unpleasant in those conditions. How is your DD doing?

Wendy—you’re a tough cheetah—no doubt you’ll pull through and manage to be your charming self to your guests! Hey, sometimes just getting out of bed is an “accomplishment.” J *LOL* Nope, no tucks. I’ve tried ‘em, so I do know how insane they are, but I just can’t go there. So, what are you planning to treat yourself to at Target? I recently splurged on a new cell phone (mine was driving me nuts), so I have to be a good girl now. Which means I’ll see a million things I want. *LOL* No Wii for me lately. Winter season is comin’, though. I have to say, in all candor, that the Wii Fit is cute, but I think I could’ve done without that one. Even We Ski, too. The novelty wears off whereas with bowling and Mario Kart and GH, it’s highly addicting. As you know!

Well, ladies, I burned it up on the treadmill once again with a wicked TURTLE PACE. ;) *LOL*. Will fit in some yoga a little later.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Hi Cheetahs!

Wendi: Wow! That is some workout you did today! Hope you were able to have a short work day today! :)

Wendy: Sounds like a fun evening for you! I am a wreck trying to get everything ready for guests coming over too. Glad you could get your run in! :)

Cathy: We really are a lot alike. :) Thanks for the words of encouragement! I know you hate the tm. Great getting in the run!

Carole: I found that I had better penmanship as a teenager than I do now. I was quite impressed actually. As for the content, not so good! I found some pictures from back in the day too. I took some pics home with me and showed DH this morning and he said my face looks exactly the same as when I was in 5th grade. How sweet. :) That is too bad about your sister being that way. I have one of those sisters as well. How did the 18 go? You are certainly getting up there with the mileage. :) There is something about opening day of deer season that gets DH all riled up. It has been ingrained in him, like Christmas morning for most people. He saw two bucks, but couldn't get a proper shot. When opening day is during the week we do not have school. Crazy, I know. :)

Shelly: I can't swing the tights either. Oh well. A lot of times the kids DO NOT want to go out for recess in the winter. We stay in if it is below 10 degrees. IMO that is ridiculous. How much fun can you have freezing your buns off? When is the marathon?

Christine: I think it would be cool if we did a card exchange! You did get a lot done yesterday! I will be Christmas shopping the first week of December. I did really enjoy the quiet time last night. Great ride!

Jackie: You must have been cold this morning! Moving around does really help the sore muscles. :)

Linda: How did the run go?

Today was a rest day. I'm tired and the legs are tired. I am making black bean soup here in a little bit. I picked up the book The Last Lecture.I have been reading that instead of doing my lesson plans. It is very thought provoking. DH and I decided we are going to have two Thanksgivings. The official one will be at his dad's hunting camp and then the next week we will be having our closest friends over to our house and have a feast. I think it is a great idea.

Have a great night Cheetahs! :)

Cathy...Looks like we posted together this morning! Funny as Karen and I did discuss how things went better without oldest PITA not there...:)..I was very happy to get some of my Dad's stuff...:D..Hopefully a painting pic tomorrow. Good job on the TM and yoga.

Shelly...your 10-4 run looks fun! Our trash pick-up is usually about $22 a month, but trying to get DH to commit to taking the trash to the dump is always another story. Like I have said before oldest sis is a real piece of work. I am wondering what the excuse will be next weekend also. I was happy about the nice keepsakes. I was going to up my long runs now as I will be in LA for the weekend of Dec 13th and not sure how long I can get in any runs there. That way I wouldn't feel bad if I couldn't get the mileage up for that weekend.

Christine..You don't have to be sorry about being MIA, I am just glad it was not anything bad. Thanks, Beau is turning into a cool dog. Yep, oldest sis is a piece of work and mostly a pain you know where! I will try and get a pic of the painting tomorrow. Sounds like you got in a good spinerval workout. Way to go getting a jump on the X-mas stuff.

Jackie...the keepsakes will always have great memories for me...:). I have some PB and half a banana before every workout except the long run. Hope it works for you. Glad to hear your legs are not too sore.

Linda...I am sure my oldest sis could use a slap! Drives me nuts sometimes. Yesterday was a bittersweet day. Looking at my parents Wedding pics really does get to me...I have a few pieces of my Dad's work and cherish them...:)...Ahh...I do love running in the snow!! I hope your run goes well and that you stay warm.

Wendy..good job running with Grace. Yeah, watering her plants, incredibly pathetic!! Great memories yesterday for us.I bet the November rotation is a good one.

Gloria...IA my penmanship was much better when I was younger. Very sweet compliment from your DH. My DH knew me in High School but we didn't date til I was in College. My DH gets a bit crazy for deer and duck season. The 18 went well. It feels good getting my mileage up. The Black bean soup sounds yummy.

The 18 went well. My sister backed out of the original plan so I ran about 8 miles alone which was no problem. I plugged in the iPod about 14 miles and enjoyed the music and the last 4, held a nice 10:33 pace overall, so I am smiling...:D

Gloria - I just realized that I missed you this morning! I am sorry! You had asked me if my DH was a member if the Fly Fishermen’s Federation. No, he’s not. He is a member of Trout Unlimited, though. The run was good! Cold and very windy!!! But good! That is cool how you are doing Thanksgiving!

Christine - The new Spinnervals sounds really good! Good job on doing your Christmas Letter, etc!

Cathy - My DD is doing well, at the moment! I went Christmas Shopping with her yesterday and we had a great lunch! She is so worried that she won’t be able to get all of her shopping done before she is unable to do much that she wanted to knock it all out at once! She pretty much succeeded! Great job on the treadmill run! Enjoy the yoga!

Carole - It was so nice running with it snowing today! (even though none of it “stuck”!) The only bad part was the wind! Yes, your sis needs a slap! Great job on your run and pace!!

The run was really good! I am so glad I went (I almost backed out!). The was cold, (35.…I know …..that will seem “warm before long!) spitting snow and very windy! The first 3 miles were going one direction and it wasn’t that bad, but when we turned to go back the other direction, the wind was hitting us in the face and taking my breath away.

We ran 5 miles. Tonight I did GS B,S&B and also the abs from HSC. It was a good workout! I have missed it!

Have a good night everyone!

Linda

Wendy - Shucks! Did I already miss dinner??? LOL...yeah...what's one more! I really like Squeeze a lot! I also love Squeeze Stronger! The Doves are really good, too, although I have not done them all or long enough to find out what I "truly" think of them! Let me know if you get Squeeze and what you think of it!

Good evening chickadees!

Well, believe it or not, I was soooooo looking forward to some house cleaning today but didn't get home until late....grrrrr! Gotta strike when the iron's hot and I can definitely say that it's ice cold now:(. Guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow....

So I'm going to have to nix the run for tomorrow and I'm pretty bummed about that. Tomorrow's agenda...TBD workout (would love to do Gauntlet), take Nick to the vet around 8, then swing by the farm and deal with two horses that had minor medical emergencies today, then run home, get cleaned up for lunch with DSO, then I'm not sure, then pick up Nick from vet, then swing by farm again in the pm to give meds. See, I really, *really* have a mountain of stuff that needs to get done here at the house but DSO is going to take a half day and wants to spend the afternoon together. I'm so torn right now:confused:. Can I propose we institute a 36 hour day on Mondays so that I can fit it all in:eek:? Just kidding, of course, I think;).

Enough of my whining...

Cathy - Uh, can't blame ya for staying inside...yikes out there!!! Glad you were able to get a good DM run in today, regardless of pace dear! ITA with you about the UB in BM2...and I agree about the chest DOMS:). It's kind of hard to fathom that we've moved that much crap as it really has been a nice, easy change of pace lately. Got two more loads to go:D.

Carole - Almost bust something when you said the PITA had to water her plants...O.M.G:eek::rolleyes:! Although, that may prove to be a positive thing...it's probably far less stressful for all involved. Awww, nothing like old pics to lead you on a wonderful walk down memory lane:). Fantastic run at a fantastic pace today!!! Ahhh, mid 70's? So jealous right now;)!

Shelly - Ewww, hope tonight's shift flies by for ya! LOL at your highway patrol workout:). You are NOT being a weenie...it was NOT NICE out there today:confused:! Thanks regarding Nick. The way I look at it...I'm prepared for whatever the diagnosis may be. I'm realistic enough to know that he *is* an older cat and that it could be time for something to pop up. I just want to know *what* it is so I know how/if I can help him or so I know when to let him go:(.

Christine - Wow, you must have read my mind this morning regarding the card exchange:cool:...I just happened to see my list from last year sitting next to the computer in a pile of papers I was sorting through. Glad to hear that the fires are not an issue for you.

Ooops, BRB, phone....

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Christine (Take 2) - Sorry that they've bogged ya down at work...that just really sux. Wow, toughie workout...well done! Uh, wow, you're way ahead of the Christmas game aren't ya? Gee, and I was all impressed that I've already got DSO's gift:rolleyes:. You put me to shame! Hope you enjoyed your hike or Mike:D!

Jackie - Glad to hear that you're feeling great today after that tough run! You were very wise to keep moving yesterday...probably saved you a lot of "ouchies" today. Ugh, can't blame you one bit for staying in bed this morning...BRRRR:confused:! Yup, NJ is full serve only. It's funny, I've always pumped my own gas and the first time I filled up in Jersey I almost didn't know what to do:eek: *lol*. It's also about 30 - 40 cents cheaper than NY. *Lol*, yeah, definitely agree that it is probably easier for him to stick to his diet.

Linda - Great job on your very, very, chilly, run today!!! It *is* tough when we go from near 70 one day to 35 the next:eek:! Glad you had a great time getting back to your Cathe's:).

Wendy - Well, I know you're probably up to your eyeballs in company:eek:. I hope dinner was yummy...which I'm sure it was! Wow, WTG getting on that to-do list today. Awesome speedy run there...well done! It's funny, with as strong as my legs are from riding, B&G and Low Max absolutely FRY them:eek::confused:!!! Glad to hear that you are continuing to feel better.

Gloria - I think that a great idea to have two Thanksgivings. Are you going to serve a "traditional" menu for both? No school on opening day??? Now *that's* a bit over the top:eek:. The hunters were out in force here, too, today. I really don't like this time of year...the gunshots sometimes really set the horses off, or worse. We actually had one get shot a couple of years ago and had to put the poor soul down...he was in such agony:(.

Hi to Posh, Dallas, Karen, Brighton and Judy (probably still enjoying sunny Mexico:D)!

Really have to get to bed if I want to be ready to rock and roll tomorrow. Nightie night!

Happy Sunday!!

I actually started typing up personals late Friday night, but ran outta gas, went to bed and figured I’d finish and post Sat morning, but didn’t have time after all. So, here we go now. It’s been unseasonably warm here this weekend. I had the windows open for “warmer” air to come it today! lol. Well, I’ve just been cooking, cleaning, and running errands all weekend. Checked out the new Whole Foods that opened up down in Roseville – SWEEEETUUH! Was cruisin’ that place for well over an hour…um, my ADD was in overdrive. I did get in some running and on Saturday – life is good!

Teach – Lovin’ Mr. Roboto! LMAO! chyeah, I keep em’ entertained alright! I must be such a silly dork because sometimes when I have A LOT going on at work and on my mind, I tend to get real quiet with no joking around, so peeps will often ask me if I’m feeling ok, etc…lol. Me thinks you need another massage to loosen up them tweaks…yep. YEAH! The coast to coast turtle association CCTA ;) …lol.

Wendy – Love B&G – one of my favs! Hey, is that cheese you were talking about the velveeta stuff? bleeeeech! LOL. I like a good pepper jack on sprouted wheat for a grilled cheese..mmm. Sounds like you’re feeling better – have a great time with the family dinner.

Wendi – Huh? Whaadddaaaya mean OSIF?? No, no, no…Friday is the bestttesteesst day of the week, silly! LOL. Its always gotsta be TGIF! lol. Wow, sounds like you have a full day ahead for tomorrow. I’m sure you’ll get er’ done though!

Carole – yeah, thanks for sharing your interval stuff. I usually do speed work on the high school track but now that I know I can use the Garmin for interval training, I want to try some intervals out on the runs. I also want to check out the tempo run feature! Sadie is an awesome dog to love veggies. Awe, that’s so cool about the pics you and sis found – glad you got to have some of the sentimental things. Can’t wait to see the pic of the painting.

Shelly – Hey, getting down to the last stretch, huh? Wow, sounds like your marathon is gonna be a bit cool – hopefully not as freezin’ as PF Chang’s though. Me thinks I would have opted for the dreadmill too instead of 30’s temps and howling wind.

Christine – Those DVD rides you do sound so cool. Maybe I need something like that for the days on the dreadmill! LOL Good job getting your Christmas stuff going. I was just looking at cards yesterday thinking I better get a move on it!

Jackie – Hey, likin’ reading about your RP..so exciting. Oh, re: the Klean Kanteen, I bought them for taking my water to work, not for running. I just want to get a sport top on the smaller one because I’ll use it at work and at the gym. I think they would be too heavy for my handheld during a run. Good move staying in bed til the power came back on..lol

Linda – Wow, now that’s something keeping your commitment with your running friend with the weather conditions. I ran in the snow once, but it was too slippery – won’t be doing that again. Glad to hear your DD is doing good!

Gloria – We’re having two Thanksgivings as well – just had one of em’ tonight…lol. I roasted a turkey for DD and DS – they’ll have leftovers for a few evenings this week. That’s great about the visits with your mom!

Dallas – OMG! I saw you post something about turning 50 and that’s why I asked. lol. Now way I think you (or Carole) look 50! I don’t even know what 50 is supposed to look like. Hey, re: the Sigg bottles, I didn’t buy that one because they’re aluminum with the plastic liner. I bought the Klean Kanteen because they are made of stainless steel. Here’s an article that you may be interested in re: the water bottles http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-242-302--12843-0,00.html

Karen – Awe no, so very sorry to hear about your mom. Lot’s of prayers comin’ your way. Hang in there.

Well, guess I better get this posted and get to sleep. Have a good Monday Ya’ll!!

Posh
