Morning, all! :) :) :)

Lotta fabulous cheetahs were MIA yesterday. What's everybody been up to?

Sunny :: high fives on the PR!!! I bet you slept like a rock last night. WTG! :D :D :D

Today will be a B&G mish-mosh followed by a run and then I need to take some measurements as it's the end of my leg & glute rotation.

Will be back. Have a great Sunday, ladies. :)

Good Morning wonderful cheetahs,

cathy- i wish i could say that i got a good night's sleep. however that is not the casex( . i was so wound up last night from the run and thinking about everything i got going on i only slept for about 3 hrs...maybe. i am also excited because today is my first swim lesson!!!

BBL...:)

Good morning! I guess I was one of those fabulous missing cheetahs yesterday;-) I was too swamped at work I'm afraid. Some nights are like that.... went home and crashed and ended up taking a total rest day :7

Cathy- You really worked those buns and legs hard lately:eek:  I bet it will show in your measurements. Have a great run today.

SunnyD- Awesome job on your 5k!!!! You really shaved alot of time of your last one to get a new PR:7 :7 :7 I think you're going to be crashing tonight! Swim lesson eh? So when is your first triathlon?

I'm off for a couple of nights after tonight. After my nap I'll be doing DM:7 :7 Then DH and I are taking in an arts and crafts show.
I'll do a 40 min. iCycle later. Tomorrow is my long run:)

Carole- glad to hear all went well!!

Good Morning Girls!

I am only awake for about 15-20 mins. I slept in today!:p DH is at his grandma's so mommy had nothing to get up early for.:+

I have X Shoulders and Arms and ARX on tap for today.

When I went to the gym y'day I was going to do shoulders, arms and abs on the machines with DH instead and do something different today. Well, we went to the first machine (a lateral raise machine) and I immediately got aggravated and opted out of it. I don't know what it is with me but I just HATE those friggin' machines! BLECH!x( I soooo prefer the free weight method of lifting. I'd probably be happier over in the "muscle head" section (LOL) but DH doesn't use that stuff and I won't go in there alone!

Cathy: Thanks for your feed back re: my HM rotation. I am going to nixx the walk and put circuit work outs in place of it and I am going to keep the 2nd lower body day and will change that down the road if I think I need to. Thanks again!:)...Oooooh have fun with B&G and a run! That's what I did that made we waddle and squeal for 3 days! }( :p :7

Sunny: You rock girl! Your new PR is amazing! You shaved a ton of time off your 5k!!!! Sorry you are lacking sleep. I know how that feels. Hope you can catch a nap today. Sorry swim lessons are cancelled. Will you get them for free if you take them at the Y? Hey, btw, I saw that PIT work out for sale at DDD. I know you got it. Have you tried it yet? What do you think?

Shelly: Arts and Crafts show, huh? Sounds neat but be honest...Does DH really want to go?? :7 :7 :7 Have fun with DM!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I use a program called GetSmile and what is great is you can add other smileys to it real easy, so I have been collecting. The website is www.getsmile.com if you want to check it out. Yes the surgery was more involved than I thought , but I seem to be mending well. There sure have been a lot less posts lately. Enjoy your B&G mish -mosh, and I hope the measurements turn out well...:)

Wendy..how does your current HM plan compare to the Galloway one, as far as walking /running days? Have fun with P90X S&A. I was not a big fan of gym machine either, always enjoyed free weights instead.

Sunny...CONGRATS!!!! You did great and got a new pr...http://bestsmileys.com/signs15/11.gif[/img]....sorry about the swim lesson being canceled.

Shelly...you must have been beat. Hope you enjoyed a nice rest day. Have fun with iCycle today.

Jackie...good luck in your 5K today!!

We went fishing yesterday afternoon, and I caught a nice fish with my new rod and reel!!! it was so fun, I will post pics later...

Today I am going to run about 5.7 miles. The Oral Surgeon did not want me going very far just yet. Seems things are healing well. The pain had lessened a great deal too.

Have a great day...:)

Carole,

Glad your mouth is healing well.

Congrats on the good cath with the new rod/wheel! I've never been fishing. I keep saying I have to go but never do. I was raised going crabbing and no, not with traps! My grandpa would take us out on a row boat (with a motor) into the bay and we'd crab with lines. FUN! My mom and I still try to go once every summer. I intend to bring Joey when he's old enough as well. :)

The Galloway plan is this:

M: walk or Xtrain
T: run 30-45 mins
W: walk or XTtrain
R: run 30-45 mins
F: walk or XTrain
S: off
S: walk/run x amount of miles

This is what I am now thinking of doing:

M: Cathe Circuit
T: run
W: lower body weights
R: run
F: upper body weights
S: off
S: walk/ run x amount of miles

Wendy...So he has walking or running or Xtraining 6 days a week. I think you might want to add another walk/run day, maybe friday with your upper body workout? I only say this as to go 13.1 miles your body needs to be used to the running or walking, but then I am thinking with a runners mind and you said that this half was going to be a walk/run right??

Thanks, I have not fished with my DH (except the last few times) in a very long time. We used to fish a lot. Then we kinda drifted apart during some tough times. So this has been very nice reconnecting...:)...I have to admit, crabbing sounds fun!!

Sunny :: sorry to hear the swim lesson fell thru…maybe you can squeeze in a nap today.

Shelly :: Enjoy your w/out, the craft show, and best of all, a few nights off!

Wendy :: Hey, I say why not go into the muscle head section? If you don’t care for the machines, go do your thing, girl!…Oh yeah, leg work followed by a run has been spankin’ my you-know-what! So far, I’ve never done B&G in its entirety before a run. Ya might just have to be superhuman to pull that off, so my hat’s off to ya! http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/77.gif I’ve seen Galloway’s plan advocate 3 days of running, and so I think it’d be fine to keep it that way, but Carole’s suggestion is a good one, too. If you want to be conservative, you could always start out with 3 days of running and add a fourth. My new rotation (which starts tomorrow) will include 4 days of running, with Sunday being my long run also.

Carole :: Glad to hear the pain has decreased – enjoy today’s run!…thanks for the link ~ I am downloading some now.

Jackie :: hope you had a great race ~ looking fwd to the report!

Well, I did a 30-minute B&G mishmosh followed by a 3.4 mile run. Whoo — does that getcha. No movement on the scale (boo!) but some progress with the tape, so I'm happy and ready for another round:

W: -.5”
LT: -.5”
RT: -.75”
everything else: no change

Enjoy your Sunday!

Hey gang:

The races weren't so bad last night. I'm not a huge racing fan, but I was chatting a lot with a bunch of different people so that was fun. :)

Cathy - Are you ready for our rotation to start tomorrow??? I sure am. I have Squeeze-lower body and a 20 minute run starting it off, I can't wait. I will be at a Tastefully Simply National Convention in Minneapolis from Thursday to Sunday so I won't be on here very much, but rest assured I will modify however possible to get in my workouts :7 I've already packed my workout clothes and MP3 player.

I did good on my eating yesterday. Went over on points, but still have my flex ones to use, so I'm fine. It felt so good to be in control of what I was eating for once. I think this is my time to finallly get it together. Of course, DH is frying sausage and bacon right now to go with eggs for DS and his friend, so I will have to find something to do quick so I don't snitch any, that will be TOUGH!

Have great workouts today everyone, I'm not sure what I will be doing - maybe get the family to go on a hike.

Take care,
Marcia.

wendy- i do have the pit workout and also bought a few more new ones, lol. i haven't done the workout yet, it's on tap for the end of this week. i have previewed it and it looks tough!! the guy is no cathe as far as presence but then it's not meant to be that type of workout. i have to pay for the swim lessons at the y, howver they do give me a discount.

carole- glad your healing process is going well! enjoy your run today. how long have you and dh been married?

cathy-congrats on the lost inches!!! i am psyched about my race yesterday, i know it helped that it was a flat road race. a nap...ha, i have two crazy l'il boys who wear me out all day, lol.

marcia- enjoy your new rotation!

Good morning ladies,
Another quick check-in before I am off to church. I am planning on doing HSC today. We will see how the ITB does with it. It is feeling better, but it is slow going:) You ladies have been doing some awesome workouts. I can't wait until I can get back to some kick butt workouts!

I have been thinking about my mom a lot lately. I really miss her right now. It is funny how it comes and goes. I wonder if it ever gets any easier... Well, Just wanted to say hello and that I was thinking about you ladies. Have a great day!

Susan

Cathy...I'd say that is good progress with the tape! I am sure that run was a killer after B&G mish moshing. I did buy the GetSmile program and some of the add-ons. Yes, you can use them in most email programs.

Marcia...Good job on the clean eating, that for me is always the toughest part.

Sunny...DH and I will be married 27 years this December.

The run was fun this morning and guess what?......DH went too and rode his bike!!!...:)

Here is a pic of me and my fish. I was a bit scared holding it as I thought it would flop around!!

Sunny :: 3 hours of sleep after a 5K - that's when ya gotta say DH, a little help here! :) Ya know, maybe if MIL were still around, she could give you a hand ;-) **ducks and runs**

Susan :: ((((HUGS)))) I think someday it will not be this hard...come here anytime you'd like support or just some listening ears! We care.

Carole :: great photo and great catch! You have a beautiful smile...I tested the smileys in my email and they worked there, too, so I decided to purchase the program. Thanks again for the tip.

Good afternoon everyone!

Ran my 5K this morning in 27:05. That's a new PR for me. I ran my first mile in 8:01. I got right up front with the fast runners and it made me shoot out too fast. I adjusted some for the 2nd and 3rd mile. For the last .10 I sprinted. My hamstrings were a little tight starting out but they finally loosened up. The temp was in the 60's and that made it a great morning for running.

Yesterday I had my first massage by a male masseuse. Don't think he did a better job than a female. I got a sports massage this time. Next time, I'm giving the deep tissue a try. I became a member and for $49 a month I can get an hour massage and each additional one will be $39. Best thing about it is that I'm more than 25 miles away and I can cancel at any time.

Wendy - Wanted to tell you your tats lood great. I like the designs. Glad you did what you wanted at the gym. Bet you enjoyed your workout better too.

Laurie - Glad you like your new massage room.

Carole - Glad the surgery went well and you got to keep your tooth. Nice pic of you and the fish.

Sunny - Great job on the 5K! I knew you could do it girl!!!

Cathy - I had such a full day yesterday that I didn't get to check in. DBF needed some attention too. So, I hung out with him after my massage. We went to a Fun Festival at one of DBF's client's church. Then we went to see Harry Potter. It was just ok to me. If DBF hadn't wanted to see it, I would have waited for it to come out on DVD.

Shelly - Glad you get to have a couple of nights off work. Hope you had a good workout.

Hello to everyone else. Will try and check back later. I have to get ready to hit the road back home.

Hope everyone is enjoying your Sunday!

Jackie

Susan - Things will get easier for you missing your mom. I still miss my dead and it's been 4 years now. You will never stop thinking about her but it will get better.

Jackie
