ahhh, the weekend
Hey Saturday Cheetahs!
Love the weekend! Going to get in and tackle some things here in a few after I post. Yesterday wasn’t as bad at work (re: the students) as it has been. I mean it really can be disheartening the lack of respect and rudeness some of these students have towards us in Admissions and Records, and they’re not all young! Nevertheless, with all my griping this week I feel I must point out that not all of the students are horrible. We do get some very nice, intelligent, respectful, courteous students on the phone and at the window and they’re the ones that get 110% outta me! LOL….
CLARIFICATION on the pony: It is a stuffed pony that when squeezed makes a “eeehhhee, eeehhheeee, eeeehheee” neighing sound. We, as in our me and my co-workers will squeeze the pony when the tension of a busy office plus the level of the idiot meter going up hits high in our area. The sound of the horse coupled with my humming/whistling of various Frank tunes when the tension is high, helps all of us keep perspective and stay in a good, productive mood. When I said we thought a bus let off a load of rude students, I was only joking because it seemed, that day, we had an over abundance of jack azzes come in and call… lol. Oh well, all is good though at the college. I’ve worked in much worse places such as County Child Protective Services…um, not a highly positive place…lol
Wendy – Yeah, think I’m gonna Grace it today on the dreadmill. Don’t want to waste the gas driving down to Auburn today when I have no errands or appts down there. DD18 came and stole her gas saving car from me yesterday..lol…she’s on break from school. I must say, you sure are good about getting those naps! I wish I could. My sister is a total napper and then proceeds to a cappuccino when she gets up..lol. My mom says she was a napping kinda kid and was a terror if she didn’t get one in.
Judy – Hope the weather cooperates with your drive/game!
Carole – Lol – I’m happy the temps are cooler/normal now. I don’t enjoy the warmer weather for running. I LOVE the pyramids. Yay, a garage sale! Good luck with PITA…and the packing…
Dallas – DS is off from high school too next week. I have yet to get my Thanksgiving ingredients that I’m bringing as well. I guess I’ve been assigned the salad (I’m the only vegetarian..lol) so I ‘m thinking a “salad bar” idea using a lazy susan for the ingredients and then two big bowls of lettuce: one romaine, one mixed organic greens.
Shelly – HEY THERE IRON CHEETAH!! Sending FAST Cheetah vibes to ya! Hope you can break that 4:30 goal and make it 4:15! I know you can!!! Thanks for the bib number, we’ll be trackin’ ya and rootin’ for ya too! GO SHELLY!!!
Christine – I did a roasted Turkey, etc. last Sunday for the fellas. Enjoy your feast today! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! So cool ya’ll went to the first date restaurant. Sweet!

Brighton! - You must be way cool……Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra, Hitchcock movies…hmmm…lol. North by Northwest is one of my favs as well! Also liked Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novack in Vertigo…good shhhhtuff! Glad you are on the mend!
Well, it is just past 2pm PST, I guess I better get my selves in gear for that workout before it is time to get to the weekend cookin’…
