::: Cheetahs ::: Saturday, 9/9

Hey Wendy, my spree cost me just under $200.00. I went to a Reebok outlet and got a gorgeous pair of lined pants for $5.99, another pair of pants, shorts, a top and a running vest. Then it was to 'Winners' (kind of like TJ MAXX I think) for a pair of warm up pants, a long sleeve running shirt and a beautiful silvery grey and cream coloured running jacket that should see me through until December. I love my new running wardrobe, almost makes me look forward to cooler temps.........almost....:)

Take Care
Laurie:)

ETA: Some days the best workout is no workout! Crawling back into bed was a good thing, Mama's need rest too ;-) Hope you can blow of that steam and get back to happy Wendy!:)

Hey Laurie! Good job on your shopping spree! You bought lots of stuff for little $! }(

Well, seeing the words "unscheduled rest day" and "not going to be able to work out today" on the screen in front of me must've had an effect on me cause w/in 15 minutes after I posted that I was getting changed into my work out clothes! LOL I decided to give Leaner Legs a shot since it's shorter and DS stayed quiet so I was able to finish it! I feel better now. :D

Now it's time to get DS up for dinner and then mamma needs to hit the showers!:)

Judy…I know what you mean about pushing the hills…I feel like I’m dying sometimes and practically at a complete stop when I reach the top (I can only imagine what it must look like to passing drivers), but I do feel stronger afterward. It makes for good training. Enjoy your date night!

Laurie…Glad to hear that Andy is doing so well. Great news. Enjoy that shopping/new running gear high! This might sound nuts, but I also feel that I run a little stronger when I’m breakin’ in new gear for the first time.

Carole…I thought the Garmin calorie counter seemed high, too. I mainly just want to see the distance/pace. Keep the good reports about John comin’! I hear you on BC…I will be taking a break from that one for a while. I’ll save it for a day when I’m feeling especially masochistic.

Adri…glad you finally had nice weather for a run. Let me tell you, I was barely even CONSCIOUS by the time I got to the leg conditioning drills. The only thing I wanted to kick by that point was the TV screen. You’re welcome to the Ali McGraw tape…I suppose PM me your mailing address?

Any other takers on any of those videos?

Katrina…Which do you prefer – outdoor runs or TM? Do you find one “easier” than the other?

Jess…hope you had fun with the ILs. That’s nice of you to hang back with your friends. I think it’s hard to run with a partner if you’re not at a compatible pace. Usually I prefer to run alone.

Christine…continued good luck packing the boxes.

Laura…hillwork and intervals have helped me gain speed in the past.

Wendy…sorry Joey’s had a rough day (and you, too). Fantastic that you got in a workout after all. Boy, now I’m getting a guilt trip bc even though this morning I foresaw a run + GS BSB, I have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING today. *lol* And you know what? I really don’t think a second wind is happening. Oh yeah, I'm startin' to feel the DOMs setting in from KM. I'm thinkin' DrillMax is going to be INSANE! Have fun tonight.

Hey My Fav Cheetahs!!!
Just got home from the gym. I did chest, back, abs, and my run this morning was cardio. It was beautiful here today but is now thunderstorming}(x( Weather is so crazy}( Ok time for some personals!!

Cathy- Sounds great!! I'll PM my address to you (except I should be careful. I totally trust you but my mom always says just be careful about things like that) LOL thanks for the laugh. You said "the only thing I wanted to kick was the TV screen!!" LOL. That was really good:D The tape sounds great!! Thanks:)

Christine- Glad you got a great run and W/O in today!! Keep up the good work cheetah;-)

Judy- Great W/O cheetah!! Hope you sweated HARD}(

Laura- Sure I'll share some of my tips. I found that what made me a faster and a good endurance runner was interval training on the tread. I would do 1 minute of a fast run(7.4), and a 40 second recover period to a steady state jog (5.5 MPH) After a period of time this helped me become fast and help me run longer (enduance) HTH!

Laurie- Wishing you luck w/ you 18k tomorrow}( Damn girl thats great!! The most I did was a 10k race. Have fun shopping. Thats what us girl cheetahs do best;-)

Wendy- Who cares about the money when it has to do with fasion}(}( yea easy for me to say your thinking...My mom buys me everything}:)+
Go ahead..Endulge in the sekcy jeans!!! Hope you can still get a good W/O in! I told you do Boot Camp}( Or HSTA!

Hi to Jess!!:) and Hi to anyone I may have missed or hasn't checked in. Will BBL. take care!

Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry with your girlfriends.

Adri - I do understand that. Your mom is absolutely right. I could also send it to your mom (or dad's) work address or maybe a PO box?

Wendy - guess what? The same thing happened to me that happened to you. I typed that I wasn't going to do diddly, and then I proceeded to bang out GS BSB. Whoo! :) SO glad I did.

Have a great night, all!
