Good Morning Cheetahs!

I have no time to waste! I have 40 mins to get myself and DS ready to hit the gym. We have to be outta here around 8am. I also have to wake up DH and remind him that he wants to come with us!;) :p

I'll be hitting spin class this morning and then I'm done. The rest of the day will be spent doing chores and then this afternoon we are going down to the boardwalk with my mom and her bf. Should be fun. :)

I'll be back after class!

Good Morning:) Roller coaster days for me, it's funny how dynamics can change so quickly after giving notice at work, the energy is so different now, the chiro is pissed and cold with me and it sucks. I don't finish my old job until August 3 and had my first appointments at the gym yesterday, I LOVE MY NEW ROOM! I couldn't decorate before but now I can make it as 'massagey' as I want. I've been seeing someone casually for the past 3 months and decided to end it on Thursday. It's been lovely keeping company with him, having him charm me but, like all the 40 something bachelors I've met, he's disconnected and so self involved. I'm sad about it, will miss the time we spent together but know it's for the best. I've got some holidays coming Aug. 4th and have rented a cottage for the week. I'm really looking forward to the down time with my Girls to regroup, it'll be a great transition time to my new job. I hate feeling funked out like I do today...it's an IMAX3 day for sure}(

Carole, hope all went as well as is possible for you and your surgery. Thinking of you and sending super-mondo-mega healing vibes and great big ((((HUGS)))

Wendy, have fun spinning, enjoy the boardwalk, nice reward for doing the chores....damn chores are NEVER done!!

Later ladies:)

Take Care
Laurie

carole- healing vibes being sent your way.

today's exercise is a 5k later on this evening!

off to the ymca to take the boys swimming.

ttyl...

Hey all.

Well I never went to the gym. Not yet anyway! :p I made an executive decision today. I am NOT going to be a part of their ridiculous requirement for a free membership anymore! I am opting out and not going to be "forced" to take a class I do not feel like taking. I like spin. Don't get me wrong but sometimes it just doesn't fit into my schedule and I am DONE worrying about it! Sooo, with that said, DH is outside cutting the grass right now. When he is done we will go to the gym and I will do what I WANT to do there. Not what someone is telling me I HAVE to do!!!!x(

Aaaaaahhhhh, thanks for letting me get that off my chest! I feel so liberated now!:p :7

Laurie, Sorry the chiro is giving you a hard time. How immature. UGH. Just throw yourself into your new job and forget about him! He's not worth it, right? :)

Sunny, Good luck on your 5k! I know you'll do great!

Carole, I hope you are doing okay after your surgery!

BBL!:)

wendy- you go girl! i would certainly hate for someone to make decisions for me. what a dumb, dumb rule. have fun at the gym, doing what YOU want to do:7 .
thanks for the well wishes!

Good morning cheetahs

Well, I still have my tooth! I believe that it was not fractured or the Oral Surgeon would have pulled it. Lucky for me I got to sleep thru the whole thing, but I was woozy and sore after. They actually did more work this time. Normally in this surgery the infection will be in one of the 2 roots on the outside gum (right under your lip), but not this time, they had to go inside my mouth also to find the 3rd root where the infection was. So I have stitches inside near the roof of my mouth and outside too. The meds help for the pain and I slept well and can do a light workout today!

Wendy...enjoy your spinning class and have a fun afternoon with your Mom and her bf. I agree with your executive decision, don't let them push you around! Thank you, I am feeling good this morning...maybe the coffee??...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/x/coffeecup.gif[/img]

Laurie...sorry about the chiro being a butthead...:)...I think it is great you love your new room! Once you are there totally things will be better. I give you a lot of credit for getting out there in the dating world as I know it has to be tough. I could never picture you with a disconnected, self-involved guy for long Laurie, you deserve so much more. The cottage with the girls sound fun. Thank you for your healing vibes. The surgery went well and today I am just a bit sore in the mouth..

Sunny..thanks for the healing vibes. Good Luck with the 5K!

Cathy...thanks for your thoughts. I know the headache I had yesterday was from no coffee. I didn't feel real great for about an hour after surgery. I had to keep gauze on the tooth for a few hours as these kind of surgeries you bleed a bit. But once the pain meds kicked in, I felt a lot better. And I am having my coffee now...:)...sorry about the weak run. I have those too, but chafing also....http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/b0/pray.gif[/img]

Jackie...I ended up not working out yesterday, and it was very tough not having any coffee or water. But the surgery went well. Good job with CC. I hope you enjoy the massage today!!

Shelly...sorry you didn't sleep well the other night. Yes they did put me under, probably the difference between an Oral Surgeon and a Dentist! I am just glad it is all over...How was Imax EX?

I will do an easy 30 min on my EXT and maybe some endurance weights like APX or one of Cathes.

Have a great day...:)

Hey everyone -

Carole - I'm glad you are feeling better and able to get a light workout in, that will make you feel better.

Wendy - You go girl! You are woman, hear you roar!!! ;-)

Today we are picking up DS buddy and then heading to town to meet up with the family we went to Mexico with last year and plan the NEXT VACATION TO PLAYA DEL CARMEN!!! :) :7 I'm so excited. We've decided to go back in January to the same place as before, so we will be familiar with everything! Now, I have another goal in front of me to get in shape for.....vacation in Mexico. ;-)

After that, we are headed to the races about an hour away. Not my most favorite thing to do, but DS and DH like to go, so I go along anyway. Made lowfat Tastefully Simple dip and carrots to bring along so I can eat something when the rest are pigging out on the 'bad' stuff.

Now for a workout......??????......maybe IMAX 2 that's a good one and will give me some WW activity points to eat or drink with tonight at the races.

Have a great day everyone, hope to be back again later.
Marcia.

Hey there Ladies.

I ended up going to the gym and doing the new IClimb I bought last time but hadn't done yet. #18/30 mins. It was on the easier side IMO. After that I jumped on the TM and did ITread 1/20 mins but I did it at walkers pace.

Now I am cleaning the house before I jump in the shower. Fun, right? :p

BBL!

I finished Cardio Kicks (LOVE IT!!!!) Man, was I sweating....and I did the arm sequence medley twice, woo hooo,I was pumped. I went with DS to pick up his buddy, got a 'little' lost, but made it. Now, it shower time and get ready to plan the vacation to Mexico with our friends and off to the races.

Talk to everyone tomorrow!
Marcia.

Have fun Marcia!

Where's Cathy????

Housework is done as is nap time for momma!:7

Time to hit the showers before I get bored and want to work out again!:p

Hey there, cheetahs :D

What a beautiful day it’s been today. And what a lazy cheetah I am. I blew off my workout totally (BC). No real reason. I’m just feelin’ sorta like Miles in Risky Business… “Joel, sometimes ya just gotta say _____” :p :D (You know how it ends, I'm sure.)

Wendy :: I did visit the boards early this AM but try to curb my cheetah enthusiasm now and then and let someone else start the thread :p …I don’t blame you for rising up against that ridiculous requirement…So are you going to pay for your membership or find a new gym?

Laurie :: so you are experiencing several endings and new beginnings all at once…Am hoping the transition time passes quickly for you…excellent that you are happy in your new space!…the week at the cottage sounds lovely...Sat here nodding my head about the "ghost men." Let's write that book, girlfriend!

Sunny :: I didn't realize it was an evening 5K - those are fun…have a great race!

Carole :: wow, your surgery was more involved than I thought it would be ~ glad you’re on the mend and not missing a beat with workouts…cracking up at all your little smiley guys…they’re the best! Where do you find them?

Marcia :: I’m a CK fan, too…great w/out in a condensed amount of time, isn’t it?…So what are the races you’ll be watching? Have fun planning your next vaca! Sounds excellent!

Hey Cathy!

Thanks for givin' someone else a shot at startin' the cheetah thread.:p ;) I know I've busted your chops in the past but I'm only joking ofcourse! It actually doesn't feel right if you don't start this thread so don't ever be shy about getting us moving in the mornings, girl!:7

I would look for another gym to join but quite frankly I really like what this gym has to offer it's memebers. The only other one I would consider is far too expensive for my blood! I will just pay dues again like I used to...No biggie. Once I am certified I will see where I land a job. Perhaps I will ditch my current gym at that time as the place I work at will probably give me a REAL free membership for working there! Imagine that!:7

BBL!

Hey,
I never mind a little chops-bustin'. But I wouldn't mind if more of the cheetahs were early birds. Part of it is that if I post early about my planned workout for the day, I'm more likely to do it (or at least SOME form of exercise if I decide to change things up). I love working out, but I gotta admit, there have been days when I might've blown off a workout if it weren't the guilt I'd feel facing my cheetahs. Apparently, though, that wasn't an issue today. *lol*

ETA: Oops, I forgot to comment on the gym. You know, maybe you can get them to relax on that rule...perhaps they could give employees incentives to try the workouts instead of making it *mandatory.* They could have monthly drawings or fun, little contests/competitions among the employees.

I feel the same way, Cathy. I love checkin' in. It keeps me accountable. Changing up my plan is one thing but when I blow off workin' out completely after I've reported in with my work out plan for the day I feel quite guilty too...usually!;)

DH suggested I email the corporate office about their policy with these classes. I just might do it and I will take your lead and suggest other possiblities instead of how they do it now. There's got to be a better way...The folks are not making employees who don't want to work out do it by forcing these classes on us. All they are doing is forcing those of us who DO work out to do things we aren't neccessarily interested in doing. I work out 6 days per week. Taking one of their stupid classes is not going to make any difference at all for me! They say they want us to take them so that we can tell memebers about the classes if they ask us. Oh please...no one has asked me yet! It's such cr@p! I swear! LOL

Okay, rant over with!:p

So I've been thinkin' about my HM training alot the past couple of days. I think I might make a change to my original plan. How does this look?

M: Xtrain: DrillMax or other circuit work outs
T: Run 30-45 mins
W: Lower body weights: B&G }(
R: Run 30-45 mins
F: Upper body weights: not sure yet
S: off
S: Long walk/run outdoors

I originally had monday as a walking day but wonder now if I really need that??? For my purposes I am thinking 3 days a week of running/walking for 15 weeks is plenty. What do you all think?? Also if I plan to do a circuit work out each week that contains lower body work is working legs again separately going to be too much? I can put my walking day back in if I take out the lower body weight day. Oh I am soooo confused! Help me ladies, help me! :)

Wendy :: if client recommendations are the reason behind the mandate, wouldn't you just need to take a class ONCE, maybe twice to get a feel for what it's like? Maybe they just want to fill the classes? I don't think they should force employees to take classes on a regular basis, but if they do want folks to be familiar with what's offered, why not just require everyone to take each type of class, say, twice? Period. Or do they expect you to know the nuances of every instructor? Good luck ~ I hope they come around and realize that people respond better to incentive rather than demands...re your training plan, it looks good. I agree that you don't really need the walking day. I would say legs 2x will be fine, esp. in the beginning, and as your long runs increase, see how you feel.

just came back to report my race is over and I DID IT!! i beat my last time of 32 mins. I finished in 28:41..woohooo!
now i am going to shower and pass out:7

enjoy your night ladies!
