::: CHEETAHS ::: Ruby Tuesday

Hi ladies!

Carole - Laughing about your DH getting scared. I could probably watch it during the day alone but not at night. Usually I stay away from them. Don't need any nightmares. The antibiotics seem to be doing their job. They make food taste terrible and it really curbs my appetite. Glad you enjoyed running in the snow. Having the day off is always nice.

Dallas - Hope DD feels better.

Christine - Good job on Slo Mo Legs. I will attempt it tomorrow. Don't know if I will do the entire workout or a premix. Since I didn't get my run in today, I need to make it up with at least a 2 mile run.

Lorie - Glad you and Linus could help out at school. So did you run any with CC?

Judy - Good run for you today!

Wendy - Enjoy dinner at your MIL.

Lori - Good job on your workout today! Yeah, I have to stay away from the bubble baths. They don't seem to agree with me. I tried a new product and that may have been the culprit. I guess it was so bad doc had me take three within a 4 hour span. Happy Birthday to your grandmother.

Have a good evening.

Jackie

hey ladies,

ultra quick check- in for me today. i am doing p90x+ intervals.

judy- glad to hear all is well with your dad.

sorry no time for personals.

ttyl...:)

Hey there! Hope everyone had a good day! I feel like such a hit or miss poster, lately. I promise…it is not my intention! ;(

Cathy – Oh dear! Sorry about your computer! Your experience with the yoga workout today, reminded me of me most of the time! I start to do it….but just end up taking the DVD out and canning it. At least you do yoga a lot more often that me! Lol I have several of the “instructional” dvd’s that came with each of my kettle bells. (the dvd’s are all the same). I can send you one, if you would like to see what the exercises are like. I don’t need them. If anyone else would like one....just let me know.

Lorie – Your workout sounds good! So does the black bean soup! Lol….you can tell what is always on my mind!! Food, food, food! :p

Shelly – Wow! You may move to Pa? You won’t be “that” far from me! (well....just a state away, anyway)! That would be great to be so close to Cathe’s gym! How exciting! Oh dear, that will be rough, telling you parents. Enjoy your workout! Sounds like a good one!

Wendi – I actually like Ruby Tuesday’s, too! I like their salad bar and potato soup! Glad your quad cooperated!

Judy – That is wonderful that your dad is okay! I know how very, very scary that can be. Hope you had an enjoyable workout!

Kristi – Hey there! Good workout! I have read on various boards where a lot of ladies are enjoying doing their own weight work. I have thought about trying it, too. Glad you are liking it!

Christine – So…. are liking your kettle bell workout? I haven’t even done mine, yet. I have used the heavy bell for Slo Mo and a couple of other workouts in place of dumbbells….not really what I am supposed to be doing, is it? Lol. One of these days I am going to get the gumption to try them! (Especially after you said where you were sore! ) That sounds good! The Jefferson Squats and Sumo squats are what I use my 35 lb kettlebell for.

Carole – Hope you enjoyed your GS’s and run!
Snow! Woohoo! I love snow! Enjoy it for me!
I hope you can post some pics!

Jackie – ((Hugs)) I am sorry about your bladder infection! I know they are so aggravating and can really make you feel lousy! I hope you get better soon!

Dallas – I am sorry your dd is sick! Hope she gets better soon! iTread’s are wonderful, aren’t they? You can grab one when you are short on time and get a great workout….or have a wonderful long workout when time permits! Good job on your workout yesterday, too!

Wendy – Oh my! I haven’t done those workouts in such a long time! Well, I take that back…I did the standing portion of AbJam last week. I went through a spell for at least six months a couple of years ago where I did TurboJam at least 2 or 3 times a week. Enjoy your dinner!

Lori – 85 years old! That is wonderful! Enjoy the birthday dinner! Great workout!!!

Sunny – Hope you enjoyed your P90X+ Intervals! I have yet to do any of the cardio of the +’s!

Sunday I did Ripped 1000 and iTri using just the elliptical and TM. My spinning bike is upstairs and I didn’t want to go all the way upstairs to use it. (I know….I was lazy ;)

Yesterday was a rest day.

Today was a 6 mile run and the floorwork of Firm Vol. I.

Talk to you guys soon!

Linda

Hola, cheetahs! :7 :7 :7

I picked up a 500 GB HD after work today…all will be right with the world again soon! :7 In fact, going back to work today completely erased y'day's frustrations. A cluster of my students approached me before 1st period today and asked where I was y’day b/c -- get this-- they missed me. Eighth graders, mind you. Too sweet! How can you NOT have a great day after that?

Lorie ~ How terrible about your colleague at the other school. How old was s/he?…Glad you like the YFH DVD…Thanks for the tip on the external HD. I paid $130 for this one. I can’t imagine I will max out on space now. Your post made me cheese up. http://www.motorsportforums.com/forums/images/smilies/cheese.gif http://www.motorsportforums.com/forums/images/smilies/cheese.gif http://www.motorsportforums.com/forums/images/smilies/cheese.gif Such warm fuzzies I get when I come to this place!!

Shelly ~ Glad you’ll get a nice stretch off…good luck with the househunting…I admire the sacrifice you’re making to be nearer to DH’s parentals. That might be the perfect timing to transition to your new career.

Wendi ~ Oh! I was thinking of the Stones song. Totally forgot there was a restaurant by the same name. I haven’t eaten there since college…the one near me has sort of gotten run down. Didn’t realize you also crashed the RT. Did you know Wendy and I did, too?

Judy ~ Very glad to hear all is well with your dad. And glad Waldo’s finally become an official member of the clan!…Oooh, I love Chang’s…Have never tried the salmon…sorry you were disappointed. Laughing about you carting around the prince. Would that be the hockey star?

Kristi ~ Computer issues really can bring you to your knees. I am not always good about backing things up, either, so I was sweatin’ it! I smiled when installing the software for the new HD because the last instruction read: “Your installation is complete. You are now ready to save your life.” *lol* Ain’t that the truth?

Christine ~ IA, SloMo Legs is killer!…Thanks for all the info on the kettlebells. VERY interesting! I say GET THE BOSU…*then* get more k’bells. Oh wait, you didn’t ask for opinions, did you? :7 Thanks for the uplifting words! Stay dry.

Carole ~ Is that the remake of When a Stranger Calls? I haven’t heard of Bonesnatcher. I enjoy a good scare as long as it’s not over-the-top gorey. Chuckling about your DH getting too freaked out. :7 So, what is your blackmail technique for him to exercise? You two sound like the funniest couple. Sounds like a fun run in the white stuff. Glad the hip gave you no trouble. Would love to see a pic if you get a chance.

Jackie ~ *lol* about your kettlebell resistance efforts. So sorry about your bladder infection and headache. That can be so uncomfortable. Glad you are feeling better…Now pass me those antibiotics so I stop eating. Did a little better today but scarfed 3 Girl Scout cookies…No, no new laptop. This one is three years old.

Dallas ~ Poor DD. What did the doc say?

Wendy ~ Nice workout. Hope you enjoyed dinner @ MILs.

Lori ~ Sorry about the rough night…geeze, that’s an early wakeup call for you tomorrow. You da woman doing all that in the wee wee hours. I don’t live too far from Cathe’s gym and have taken k’boxing classes on occasion…she’s just awesome live…so motivating!

Linda ~ I do enjoy yoga usually, but yesterday I was not feeling very Zen. *lol* Thank you for offering to let me borrow a k’bell video…I will hold off on that b/c I probably will wait a little longer before I’m enabled. :7 Which means I'll talk to ya in a week, probably. *ha ha*

Hi Sunny!

Tonight I did 30 min. on the EXT and 4 assisted chinups, 1 assisted pullup.

Hi Again,

Well, I can post personals, but not a workout. :( Just got so late after the doctor and pharmacy, etc. At least dd doesn't not have to take antibiotics!! He gave her a decongestant. She'll be staying home again tomorrow. It's supposed to be super cold...I might just have to keep them all home. ;-) Wow! The wind is super strong right now. I feel a slight breeze through the "closed" window right now.

Cathy ~ Got your e-mail! The movie was about Daniel Day Lewis being an oil man. LOL! Do you want me to elaborate more?!?! ;-) That was cute about your class. Of course, they missed you. We miss you when you're not around here too. :)

Linda ~ Way to go on your run! Great workouts!

Jackie ~ Sorry about your bladder infection. :( (((HUGS))) Hope you feel better really soon!

Sunny ~ Are you just trying out the P90X+ before you start the NROLFW rotation? Sounds like you're liking the new P90X.

Lorie ~ For not being computer literate you sure are helpful with it!! :) I've been wanting to get an external hard drive as well. Trigger point massage sounds wonderful! Oh, I like your little tantrum emoticon! Glad she's not my child....ha ha! ;-) Who is Linus?

Shelly ~ Way to go...looking at the positives on the move! Closer to Cathe's gym is a BIG plus!! :)

Wendy ~ Well, I was planning on doing maybe a three week of GS first, and then dive into the X. However, that could be subject to change. LOL! See - you're not the only one who's un-decisive. ;-) Have a nice dinner.

Wendi ~ LOL! on being ahead of the computer brain freeze! :7 I have so many favorites from Cathe. It's always good for a little humor when we're in pain. LOL! Sounds like you'll do well on your up & coming race. )

Carole ~ WOW! You were able to finish that marathon out!! You're tough as nails!!! }( It's snowing here and doing a lot of stuff out there. LOL! I was looking forward to the stairs tomorrow, but that's not happening now. :(

Christine ~ Way to go on the weight loss! Wait until you do the Deck Squats!! Oh my! I try to add Iron Core whenever I can. I use it for both core and total body. It's a really great add on at the end of most workouts. She tells you which body parts are being worked throughout the workout. Slo Mo IS one tough workout. }(

Kristi ~ Oh yes! We are inside right now!! Outdoor starts in April. So, what are you buying next!?!? LOL! Want to join us Iron Core gals! }(

HI Lorie, Judy, Posh and any other Cheetahs!

Have a good night! Hopefully, tomorrow will be better in more ways than one....

Dallas

Good eve ladies!

Well, I won't go into my crummy day at work so I'll just move on to personals....

Judy - So relieved to hear that Dad is well! And, WTG, on getting Waldo to the vet. Your patience witht he littel guy is admirable. Sorry there was no O/D run for you today but great job with Grace AND B&G! No way you'd find me doing *that* combo! I'm happy to report that the lumpy bumpies are finally starting to shrink...phew!

Kristi - Lol about walking/talking. On my run yesterday I had to take two phone calls...one from our hay guy and one from the equine chiropractor. I'm sure they problably had no idea why I was huffing and puffing into the phone. I hope you had a good workout.

Christine - What can I say...food is *always* the *first* thing on my mind :9 :9. In fact, I've tikka masala chicken marinating in the fridge for tomorrow. LOL about California floating away...could happen! Fantastic job on Slo Mo legs!

Carole - Thanks for the link! I don't know how I missed that. It sounds like you had a great white run today...glad you enjoyed! I love when it snows on my day off so I get to just cuddle up in a toasty blanket and watch the snow fall peacefully outside.

Jackie - Oh, sweetie, I hope you feel better soon. {{{{HUGS}}}} From what I've heard they are *not* pleasant. Good to listen to your body and rest. You'll be back at it soon enough. I'm with Cathy...please send some meds my way if they'll slow down my eating lol!

Dallas - Sorry to hear DD still isn't 100% {{{HUGS}}}. WTG getting in some great workouts with your schedule the last couple of days.

Lorie - CONGRATS on the approval!!!!! It's about f@#$%^%& time, eh ;)? So sorry to hear about your colleague.

Wendy - Great workout! I've been on a kickboxing roll lately and have been thinking about picking up KBX. We'll have to see how that goes. Have a good time at MILs!

Lori - Nope, no injury...just referring to my mystery lumps that I got on my left arm that are finally starting to shrink. Although, it does sound in my first post like I was hurt. I was just surprised that my run yesterday (my longest so far) didn't result in worse DOMS. Wow, great workouts...you rock! I wish I had your energy. I hope you enjoyed the bday supper!

Sunny - We'll catch ya tomorrow! Nice workout.

Linda - LOL about being too lazy to go upstairs but we have no problem running 6, 7, however many miles, right ;-):p? Great workouts! I hope RL lets up for a little soon. You sound extremely busy!

Cathy - Can you tell that I'm far more into food than the Stones :p? The restaurant version has improved *big time* in the last five years or so. I'm so sorry I missed you and Wendy at the RT! I was only able to stay for the Fri am class and lunch afterward before the "official" start of the RT. It was so wonderful to meet the early birds and taking that class with Cathe "live" and being able to speak with her one-on-one afterwards was sooooooooo motivating!!! Glad to hear you picked up that HD...had to LOL at the "ready to save your life" comment! Great job on the chin ups and pull ups! Awwww about your class missing you...just goes to show what an amazing teacher you are!

Gotta wrap this puppy up. I *think* it's going to be some kind of circuit, or maybe steady state step tomorrow. I'll have to see what jumps out at me in the morning. Sleep tight everyone!

Well, I’m back from my doing my workout. I had a change of plans. Instead of PUB I opted for Slo-Mo Total Body instead. This was the first time I tried this one. I didn’t like it very well, but I will need to give it one more try.

Cathy – That installation message is hilarious. How true!

Jackie – I hope your bladder infection goes away soon. Sorry to hear about the headache too. A rest day sounds like a good idea. So far the meds aren’t helping. Yesterday, I thought so. However, this morning the headache was back full force. It might have a great deal to do with the storm front moving through our area. It was 52 degrees yesterday and 49 today but with rain. Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 29. The temperatures are moving up and down so much, no wander I’m having problems. Tomorrow is the last day of my meds so I will be able to better judge the meds effectiveness after tomorrow. Let’s hope it works.

Dallas – ((HEALING)) vibes coming your way for DD. No other purchases on my list right now. However, a girl can change her mind. LOL I’m more of an Iron Core Gal wanna be. I’m a wuss in need of some buttkicking. LOL

Christine – Congrats on the weight loss. You are doing great!!

Lori – You are too funny! I actually spent a good portion of my work day goofing off. There wasn’t anything else to do. Great workout today! Wow you did bring out the big guns didn’t you. I only bring out my 25 lbers when I’m doing PUB or PLB on my own. You are one strong cheetah!

Carole – Yeah for snow! Glad you had a pain free run in the white stuff!

Well, strong storms are moving into the area. I can see lightning out my window. I’ll talk with you all tomorrow.
