I have been up with Pip since three so I thought I would post personals now.

Judy: I would love to see a pic of your new purchase. We have bar stools too.

Christine: Oh dear lord, I could not tolerate those women. At parties I gravitate towards the guys. They are just easier for me to talk to. I am having fun with Pip, thanks! The real training is coming soon. I will keep you posted. :) You have been working your tush off this week. I hope things slow down a bit. I don't think I would ever want to be 19 again. Funny, that is when DH and I got together and then married ten years later. :)

Vilma: Thank you for stopping by.

Wendy: I only drink beer these days. DH and I have been fired up over Pip. I do not indulge in other beverages, as I seem to not handle them well any more. I like wine, but will only have one glass. It tends to make me sick if I have more than that. I hate it when I pull the plug on the tm. Great run! I am looking forward to Joey pics. Pip has been given a snuggle for you.

Carole: I am glad the smoke wasn't too bad for you. Ten miles! Fantastic! Bo is a beautiful boy. Labs are great creatures. Have fun with him.

Cathy: Yes, I do have great expectations for Pip. She has a lot of work to do though. Ellie has set the standards quite high I would say. I spent some time holding Ellie last night and realized I have been feeding her too much, as she was quite heavy. I think I will take her running with me. Bird season is coming up too, so she will burn it off then too.

Wendi: I would love to have you over any time. I did check my spam but there was no luck there. I kind of wanted to change my username anyway. Thank you re: the pics. You are modest. :)

Dallas: I hate chaffing!!! I had it bad this week. It was painful to walk. I always have marks from my sports bra. The shower does hurt! Great to see you again. Get some rest. :)

Posh: DH and I like Tombstone too. Good movie. Have a great run on Tuesday!

I do not know if I will stay awake or not. I am thinking no. Have a great day ladies.

Gloria

Good muggy Monday morning ladies!

Well, the rain did cool things off last night but, wow, is it soupy out there. Don't matter...still getting ready to head for my run in a couple of minutes. I need to undo a little eating damage from last night. I didn't eat anything *bad*, just way too much lol. Actually it was quite yummy :9! I kept nibbling on some Curried Chicken and Nectarine Salad and a Southwestern Confetti Veggie and Brown Rice Salad that I found in this month's Cooking Light...YUMMY!

Judy - I park a giant floor fan in front of my workout area in the living room as well when it gets this hot or I would just die with my one A/C unit. Glad you got to visit your friend. Congrats to him on his anniversary. Has Sunny not been around the NROL4W check-in?

Dallas - Gosh, you did sound tired yesterday. Good that you opted to rest. Sorry about your ouchees :(. That's actually why I can only run in pants...I get wicked rubs on my legs from shorts x(.

Posh - Sorry about the toe mail, but I"m happy to hear that it won't interfere your running. I hope the breeeze starts to clear things up for ya! I hope DH's toothache subsides. Don't worry about personals love...we know you've been crazy busy, as always. Kisses!

Gloria - Sorry Pip has you up so early this morning. Hope you're sleeping right now. Eh, figured I'd throw that one out there regarding the password. I've been thinking of changing mine but I can never think of anything good *lol*.

Alrighty then...I've got to get this show on the road, literally ;). See you in a couple of hours. Have a great day!

Good morning, everyone!
happy-038.gif

Gloria :: oh! I thought Pip was a Great Expectations reference! ;) :) Sorry you've been up since three...my sports bra does the same at times. Not fun.

Wendi :: great mosh! I was having the very same thoughts about yesterday's conditions...Yes, you must have planted the KPC seed! Thanks! :) Well, too, I still can't find KM, so that helped make the decision easy. :p The info for premium membership can be found on the Workout Manager page. Look to the left of the screen for the purple box. Enjoy your run this AM. How does the separate window thing work? Limit smilies to 4 per post? Ut oh! That spells big trouble for an addict like me!

Judy :: oh, I'm so glad to hear good news about your friend...The premium membership is for use of the nutrition software (which is like FitDay or WW). If you go with the yearlong option, you also receive the Workout Blender + 3 hours of video download and 10% off Cathe gear purchases.

Dallas :: no wonder you needed rest! No way would I be able to function at all on two hours of sleep. God bless moms everywhere! Hope you get the chafing in check. I covered a few of my chafed spots with Band-Aids, so they had a chance to heal. A couple of them were bloody. Ick.

Posh :: I have had some time to play, but I have to get used to the forums, too. Glad your toenail is salvageable and isn't stopping you from getting in your miles. Hope that breeze blows out the smoke.

I keep having an issue (on the check-in thread only, it seems) where I cannot get the posts to show in the order of last post. It doesn't keep the display settings I set. Hmm...anyone else experiencing this, too?

This morning is my long run of 8. Then I have a doc appointment. My eye doctor has suggested we need to rule out some possible underlying causes for the double vision.

Make it a great Monday! BBL...

ETA :: I PM'd Sunny last week or so. She's fine, just extremely busy.

Hi ladies!

Back from my steamy run. I ran 9.2 miles but I have no idea what my time was because my HRM got "stuck" about 5.5 miles in so I had to reset and never looked to see what the split was. It *felt* like I was right around a 9-9:15 pace, but I guess I'll never know.

Cathy - I'm having the same issue with the check-in forum...just started last night, was fine before that. Maybe someone's already working on it. I'm just happy that I finally figured out to get our thred in "thread" version like the old forum. For some reason I find that easier for doing personals. I'll have to check out the premium membership thing later on today. Enjoy your run! I hope you appt goes well today.

Gotta scram for now (I'm actually a little late). I've got to take the kittens for vaccinations, then lunch with DSO and then I have the afternoon to get paperwork done for school, oil change and car wash, CleanMax and LaundryMax. Yikes! Better get moving then. Have a great day Cheetah babes!

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Cathy – Enjoy your long run! I love KPC! Not sure about cancelling WW to go to Cathe Nation – I would like to preview it first. I have WW, SparkPeople, etc, but WW works best for me. So, I’m going to keep my membership. I’m no good at counting calories. :p Are you talking about the lists when you first sign in to the forums? I did notice that yesterday’s thread is above today’s, and was trying to figure out why.

CAROLE – OH MY! Your Bo is adorable!!!! How old is he? I see a running companion for you in him! I’m so excited for you! How fun!

Gloria – Pip gets cuter every day! Have you been enjoying her? The first few days home they all sleep a lot – it’s very stressful switching homes. Jimmy did the same. She’ll come out of it. Work will calm down this week. Last week was our twice a year torture session! :p Oh yeah, the real training and socialization. So much work, but so worth it when you’re done.

Wendi – sorry work went longer yesterday, but glad you were able to get in the KB Mish Mosh. Enjoy your long run today! I’m glad last week is over, I’ll tell ya. Your dinner last night sounds YUMMY!!!! I love curried chicken. Sounds like a great day planned!!!

Judy – I’m glad to hear your friend is doing well!! Happy 23rd Anniversary to him and his wife.

Dallas – oh my! No wonder you’re dragging! I’d be exhausted, too. There is one big advantage in teens – they sleep late. :p

Thomasina – glad the party went well, and especially glad the tor is okay! Yes, isn’t the breeze wonderful! Is it nice and cool where you are as well?

Well, with Bootcamp behind us, it’s time to get back to work again. It will seem nice, actually. :p Yesterday DH and I ended up going out for lunch (had a shrimp salad, so I was good), and just enjoyed the cool day we had for once. It’s actually COLD this morning! Brrr. I’m wrapped up in a blankie. This weather is sooo weird. But, it’s a nice change, so I won’t complain too much (although it is funny because I just went out and bought several short-sleeved sweaters for work – go figure). Today will be AOS Newport. DH leaves for Beijing today to make sure everything is set for the Olympics. He’s not looking forward to it – the air quality there is horrid. I don't know how the athletes will do it. I know they have measures in place right now, but that's not going to do much. Have a great day all!

Wendi :: I've been having to play with the thread modes, too, to put things in an order that makes sense to my addled brain! *lol* GREAT job running in the goop! My Garmin also went a little haywire today. I did an out n' back course that I've run, oh, forever, and I *know* it was a total of 8 miles, but the GPS reported only 7.37. Enjoy your "off" day..I hope you get to kick back and chill somewhere in there...BELCH! (Had to throw that in for fun. :))

Christine :: Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I'll go check the bugs forum to see if anyone's reported it. I hear you about WW--I do like the online program & points system, but truth be told, I haven't been using it faithfully for months. It was time to stop paying for nothing. What I like about this nutrition planner is that you get graded on your food choices, and nutrient deficiencies are identified. So, your DH is going from poor air quality to worse? That stinks. But I always think his travels sound so exciting.

Long run is done. The word of the day here on the East Coast is: OPPRESSIVE. As mentioned above to Wendi, my Garmin wanted to cheat me on the mileage, but I put in a soppy but solid 8. I'm discovering that, for me, taking a rest day before the long run is preferable.

OK, time to shower and get ready for the doc.

cheetahs monday thread

hi everyone!!! got back late last night. i had a lot of fun but am SO glad to be home and with the babies!!! i admit to being a tad overwhelmed by the new forums but i am sure i will get the hang of it at some point!!! ;)

anyway, i apologize for the lack of personals but i have not been keeping up with our thread since i've been gone. first gotta do some cleanmax, unpackmax, and laundrymax. i would like to work out, but that has to be on the back burner for today.

okay, i will be back later.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy.. hopefully they can maybe work on the avatars today. The run and the new shoes yesterday were great! Felt good to get in the 10. Good job with KPC yesterday! So are you doing the Premium membership? LOL about puppies multiplying on this thread!! DH seems to prefer the spelling of Beau rather than Bo. He will train him to hunt, which is why he wanted a lab. Sadie was a bit miffed yesterday, kinda scared of him. She seems better today. I didn't know you could set display settings? Good job on the mucky 8 miles. My Garmin screws up sometimes, but it is usually in the 1st part of the run. Hope the eye Doc can maybe help with the double vision issues.

Wendi...I didn't know DH was getting a dog until we got a phone call...:)..Thanks the 10 miles was great! Great KB mish mosh yesterday. Sounds like a nice dinner yesterday. Good job on the 9.2 miles!

Christine...the sky did stay blue most of the day yesterday. It did feel great getting in 10 miles. Way to go on the 30 mile bike ride yesterday!! Thanks re Beau (DH likes that spelling better!!) Beau is 8.5 weeks old. Yes, I was thinking of running with him and DH will hunt with him. Funny, it was a bit cold here too this morning! How long with DH have to be in Beijing?

Lorie...Welcome home from Aruba!

Judy..thanks re Beau (formerly Bo)..:)...it was a surprise. I have had labs before and they are great dogs.

Gloria...those pics yesterday were awesome! Little Pip is too cute. Thanks, we have had labs before and they always are good dogs. Sorry Pip got you up so early.

Wendy...sorry about the password issues, seems may on the forums had one. I don't have a junk or spam folder in the email I use here either, but it came right away. Any tushy DOMS today?

Posh..glad to hear the toe is better. Yesterday was the 1st blue sky day we had in awhile.

Beau did pretty well last night, we had him sectioned off in the hallway back by our bedroom. He did cry a bit, but I expected that!

I will be doing an easy 3 miles, followed by P90X+ Upper Body & Abs/core.

Have a great day...:)

Lorie :: welcome back! Unpacking is always the hardest part for me. I have been known to stay half-packed for a good week upon return. :)

Carole :: I do want to do the premium membership, but I'm going to wait a bit. Well, I'm going to *try* to wait a bit. *lol* I'm glad Sadie's warming up some. It can get interesting sometimes when you bring a newcomer on the scene...I have now switched to "linear mode," which seems to show all the posts in a thread but in backwards order (most recent on top). When reading within a thread, I would prefer to read in order from first post to last. When looking within a particular forum, though, I would prefer to see the thread on top that was most recently posted in. Make sense?...Today's visit is with my primary. I am going to ask for a Lyme test and whatever else my symptoms might indicate. My eye doc called one day last week to inquire about the neuro appointment I had last fall. He said something about wanting to rule out underlying causes like MS or anything like that. The neuro had said that I have a small arachnoid cyst that he was NOT concerned about, but...I don't know if I shared this at the time, I really was not overly thrilled with how he treated me. I waited a long time to see him, took the day off from work, and then he spent no more than 10 minutes with me. Aside from it feeling a bit rushed, he got some facts wrong on his report, so I question how much he was listening. I thought it might be worth getting a second opinion but never followed through. Now with the double vision having increased and facing likely eye surgery, I wonder if this is strictly a muscular problem or if it has anything to do with this cyst. I mean, is it all coincidence? Double vision, migraines, vertigo, numbness/tingling? For my own peace of mind, I just would like that to be probed a little further, and I'm glad my eye doc gave me that nudge. I have a tendency to blow things off. But in all honesty, the double vision thing has been freaking me out lately sometimes, like when I'm driving. I am wearing my new glasses now almost all of the time, and the prisms definitely help, so I feel safer, but I'd just like to get some more answers before anyone cuts up my eyeballs. Ya know? Sorry for that long-winded response.

Good Morning Cheetah Babes!

No time for personals right now but I'll surely catch up later!:)

Just wanted to check in and say HI! Heading off to B&N to visit Thomas the Train and also going to stop by Old Navy to see if there are any last minute deals I can snag before vacation. :D

Today's work out is still up in the air. I am thinking I want to take a week and do something different. I am LOVING the bells but I am feeling the need for some Cathe time. I'll choose my work out a bit later though. All I know is that weights are definately a part of it. Considering a GS Series week...

BBL Girls!:)

Ugh!!!!!

I typed the longest post of personals and it's G-O-N-E!!!! UGH!!!!!! Shoot - I don't have time to recreate! Guess, I'll have to use Word from now on and copy over here! Darn it!!!!

I have to go start my workout...I'll try and recreate later. Where's the very angry emoticon?!?!?! lol

Wendi: I love Cooking Light. I have used many of their recipes. I think I was sleeping when you posted. Great run. Guess what?! The judges didn't vote any one off of NFNS last night. They were all great in their own way. Next week they will be voting off two. I can't wait! :)

Cathy: I haven't read that book, so I didn't get it. :) I haven't experienced any problems with post order. Thank you for pm Sunny. I have been wondering about her. It feels good to get those long runs out of the way. Nice work! I think I still have a bag packed from Montana last summer! It is mostly books and my MT teaching cert.

Christine: I have been enjoying Pip. Thank you for the sweet comment. I do not like being awaken out of a dead sleep to puppy cries though. She did have to go to the bathroom. It is funny, DH does not seem to notice! The work involved is worth it with the dogs. My friend just got back from China and she said some days you could barely see a building in front of you the smog was so bad. She wouldn't dare run in it. She is SO happy to be back in the US. Enjoy your AOS Newport today! Glad things are back to normal at work.

Lorie: I am happy to have you back!

Carole: Too funny! DH and I just had a conversation last week about getting a new pup and we decided no. Then he calls me from work asking if I wanted one. Done deal!!! Ellie does not retrieve the birds. She points and flushes. We are training Pip to retrieve. I bet you will be busy with Beau today. Have a great run and weights today! Thank you re: the pics.

Wendy: Enjoy your Cathe time!

Dallas: That stinks you lost the personals. Have a great workout.

Pip is napping. I slept until 10 after I last posted. DH took care of Pip while I was sleeping. Today will be something fun like a circuit.

Gloria

Hiya cheetahbabes! I had an exhausting 3 nite stretch at work, nice ctdo fhave a couple ocf days to breathe now. I'm staying in Philly for the day and will drive to Jersey to join DH tomorrow. I got in 5 miles when I woke from my nap and plan on revisiting the 4ds series later today.

Gloria- Pip is an adorable name for an adorable puppy!! Hope you can catch up on the lost sleep.

Wendi- Great long run today in that soupy weather!!!

Cathy Great job on your run today too. So you may not be requiring eye surgery afterall? I'd say that double checking on that arachnoid cyst is worth it. I am stilll trying to figure out the basics of posting in this new forum... fugetabout the settings!!! Feeling a tad overwhelmed I'm afraid.

Christine- Yay, sales bootcamp is over!!! I'm envying you your cool weather... it is brutal here!
Makes me yearn for cool Arizona! Oh your poor DH... going to Beijing.... I wouldn't want to be competing in the marathon there.... I wonder how this is going to affect the athletes. I can't imagine they are going to be really successful in cleaning up that mess!

Lorie- Welcome back! I'm joining you in being overwhelmed with the new features!

Carole- Congratulations!!!! Bo is absolutely beautiful!!! I agree with Christine... looks to me like a great future running partner. Congrats on getting in a good solid 10 miler yesterday too!! You're on a roll!

Wendy- Still can't sign on with your old user name? I guess it has been a while since you tackled a good solid Cathe weight workout... GS is a great choice.... nice change to the routine and will shake things up.

Dallas- I always use Wordpad... lost too many long posts!! And you cant even get an "angry"smiley!!!

I'm back.

Joey had fun at B&N with Thomas. We hung out for about an hour and then came home. I actually decided NOT to hit Old Navy! Atleast not TODAY...Perhaps tomorrow though! ;-)

I *THINK* I have decided on a 4DS week. It will fit perfectly as I am leaving for MD on vacation on friday! I will be doing chest and back today. Not sure if I'll do cardio but if I do it will *NOT* be HIS! :p

Dallas :: sorry about your lost personals. That bites.

Wendy :: love your (almost?) choice of 4DS. Enjoy!

Shelly :: so, is the sometimes-chaotic part of the job better, worse, or the same as in AZ? Glad you get to have a break. Did you run early?...Well, my eye doc believes the surgery is probably the next logical step in treatment. I trust him completely but will be curious to see what the surgeon adds to it. In the meantime, I am going to see a different neuro for a 2nd opinion, and my primary is doing a full panel of bloodwork. He was hesitant on the Lyme but said he was happy to test me for it, if I would like. He also said if there was a chance of MS, it would have been detected on the MRI, so that's good news to me.

Gloria :: so when you open the cheetahs thread, are the posts in order from who posted first to who posted last? Just wondering. Hope you had fun with your circuit.

Happy Monday!

Hi Cheetahs!

I couldn’t believe that happened to me. On the old forum I’d hit the back arrow, copy my post, open a new window, and paste it into the thread. I hit the back arrow this morn and was like, “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!” :( I wonder how long you get before it logs you out while posting?

Wendy ~ Sounds like we have the same plan. I’m switching to the 4D this week as well. Where are you going on vacation? Our B&N is right next to Old Navy as well. Sounds like the bells are giving you some nice DOMS. How is the lower body today? How did you make the smiley with the tongue sticking out? Ha ha! This code doesn’t work :p anymore. I like that smiley! I must be a dunce because I can't get many smileys to work on my posts.

Shelly ~ Another 4D’er?! ☺ Now what’s Wordpad? **lol’d** about the angry smiley comment. I’ll need Ms. Lorie and Cathy to direct me to a suitable emoticon site. Ha ha! Great job on the 5 miles.

Gloria ~ Pip is adorable. Thanks for sharing! Yeah! A puppy sounds a lot like a newborn baby. Ha ha! Of course, my boys did not start sleeping through the night until after the 1st b-day. :(Yeah, chafing is not fun. I sure hope it doesn’t happen again on Sat’s 10 miler. Cut back week!!! Thanks about the running. This has been a great experience with TNT.

Cathy ~ Gosh, it sounds serious. I’m glad you’re getting second opinions.WTG on the 8 miles in the heat! My Garmin is never accurate when I run on Sat. w/TNT. I like to see the whole mileage on the Garmin. lol I need to get those huge Band Aides though. I’ll be putting them on before Sat’s run even if it’s all healed ;-) Glad Sunny is OK. That was a good idea starting a group where we can post pix, etc.. This site keeps getting better and better. When you figure out the display thing let me know. I haven’t had the chance to figure anything out on here. I’m still working on the smileys…lol What smiley site do you and Lorie use again. Might have to check into that. ;-)

Carole ~ WTG on the 10 miler! Well, the smoke must not have been an issue. ;-)What kind of shoes did you get? Another cute puppy! Our workouts were similar today. Although I ran out of time for the abs. I may get the chance to get them in later.

Lorie ~ Welcome home! Yep, it’s never fun to come home. There's more to do thean before you leave! Good luck getting everything done. Can’t wait to see more pictures! ☺

Christine ~ Wow! What does your dh do? Will he get to see any of the games? IA about the athletes and the conditions. I wonder how soon they go to acclimate? Glad Bootcamp is over for you! WTG on the 30 mile bike ride! **lol’d **about your riding outfit. :D

Wendi ~ Another crazy Cheetah running in the steam. Lol WTG on the 9.2 miler! Another one having problems with the gadgets?!? That’s a bummer about the HRM. How in the world do you run in pants? Even in the summer?

Posh ~ Glad the toe is getting better and you were able to run. Hope the smokey conditions will be gone before Tuesday’s long run!

Judy ~ Glad you’re friend is doing well. Happy Anniversary to the pair of them! What will you do when you finish NROL4W rotation?

Hi Vilma! Aren’t the Cheetah gals the greatest!

Hi to Jackie and Sunny and any other Cheetahs checking in after my post.

Have a great day ladies!

Oh, I did 4 miles on the treadmill and 4D – back & biceps premix. I ran out of time for abs. I may be able to get to them later. I have a house full of kids. I thought it would be rainy all day so each kid invited a friend over to play. Oh boy! I think they’re trying to come through the ceiling!??! Better go check what’s going on up there.

Dallas

Okay, looks like I have a few minutes to catch up on personals finally...Sorry it took so long!

Dallas: OUCH! HATE when I lose a long personals post! Sorry about that. Guess great minds think alike as far as the 4DS thing goes! ;-)

Cathy: How'd you doc appointment go?? So did you ever figure out who the mysterious donation came from? I am having the same issue with the listing options not holding in the check in forum. It's a pain. Hopefully it's another glitch that will eventually get cleared up. Yes, I could be tempted to purchase the nutrition option as well.

Shelly: It must be something in the air with 4DS today! LOL No luck with my old sign on yet and this point I may not even bother at all. It's really not a big deal. My handle is ALMOST identical to what it was anyway. Enjoy your time with DH when you get back to Jersey tomorrow.

Christine: Hope your DH has a safe trip. Glad bootcamp is over with! COLD in Cali in July!? Mondo bizzarro! :p

Lori: Welcome back girlfriend! Glad you had a good time! I'm off for a mini vaca to Ocean City, MD at the end of the week. Nothin' like goin' to Aruba but I'll take it! LOL

Gloria: So what circuit did you decide on for today? I think wine will do a number on alot of folks. Heck, it's what gets me drunk the fastest! LOL I like to have 2-3 glasses but that's it. I REFUSE to have wine hangover! Besides, I don't NEED anymore then that anyway! LOL

Carole: Actually, YES, rear still hurts today! LOL I don't mind it though. It's a reminder of how hard I've worked it! ;) Your new pup is a CUTIE! Love the name! The dog I had growing up had the same name.

Wendi: Have a nice soupy run this morning? I give you credit for getting out there! I plan to run tmrw morning...but from the comfort of a TM and I will try my hardest NOT to pick the HOTTEST corner of the gym this time! LOL I worked chest and back fiercely today in addition to some short but intense cardio. We'll see if it's enough to make me bowl well tonight! LOL
Okay, I think that catches me and just in time too. Gotta get DS up and fed and get ready for bowling tonight.

BBL or tomorrow!

Wendy :: See my earlier posts to Carole & Shelly re: this morning's appointment, if you would. Saves me some typing. :) No, I don't know yet who the donor is. It could be a Catheite, but I know one of my friends forwarded the email to others, so I'm not positive. Good luck bowling tonight!

Dallas :: Oh, wow, you were lucky. When I lost posts on the old forums, the back button didn't help. That's what got me using Word. Haven't been doing that with the new forums, though. Livin' on the edge. :)...I'm sure the admin will sort out the display thing soon...Re: the Garmin, it was surely a fluke not worth sweating the numbers. As I said, I ran an out & back course--ran 4 miles to a point, turned around, and returned via the same exact route, so the mileage would not change. Weird, right? But I've run it hundreds of times with consistent results, so I'm confident IT was wrong this time for whatever reason, not me. :) Perhaps I lost satellite reception for a bit without noticing. Who knows? I have used a variety of smiley sites in the past, but they do not post the same way in the new forums, so for now, I've only been using the ones I saved in my photobucket.

just sayin' howdy....

Hi all,

Wanted to send a quick howdee doo - busy at work today. Poor DH is on the way to the dentist...he's in a lot of pain... may be leaving early to help him out. We'll see if I can post something tonight...I know, I know, I'm sooo way behind on personals! Thanks for everyone's well wishes though!

Talk to ya'll later....
