Morning, cheetahs :D

Toyed with the idea of taking Cathe's cardio k'box class today but will stick with the original plan, which calls for yoga.

Amy :: welcome back! Glad to hear you had a great time. Looking forward to seeing a pic or two once you post the link.

Have a great Monday & workouts, ladies!

I'M BACCCCCKKKKKk.....!! What a total world winded four day weekend. We were kept so busy, the new food is absolutely DEVINE!!! YUMMO.....Once my website is up and running I'll let you all know and you can check everything out.

Cathy - I didn't realize that you were so close to Cathe to take her classes, AWESOME!! Have you met her, too?? How's the rotation doing? I had a little trouble getting in some workouts at the convention. They kept us busy from 7:30am - 9PM most days. I did do a lot of walking and swam laps one morning. BUT - we ate constantly so I'm scared to get on the scale this morning ;( . I did already get my WW journal out to return to points and I'm going to get our rotation out and figure out how I'm going to 'catch up' ;-)

This convention was such an eye-opening attitude booster I just can't believe it. There new campaign is "WHAT DO YOU WANT" A life? Friendships? More 'Moolah'? More time at home? To Shine? It's just so darn motivating and they added new gift packs in the catalog that contain fondue kits, a beautiful trunk full of TS products, etc. (can you tell I'm excited?). Like I said once my website is complete and we can 'unveil' all the new goodies you will be the first to know.

I'll be back for more personals later, but I need to get myself organized back here at home and get ready for work.

Take care - back soon!
Marcia.

Hey Marcia! Welcome back. :) Glad you enjoyed the convention. Sounds like your time was well-spent...I have taken the kb class only a handful of times, but yes, I did meet Cathe once (Cedie and Jai, too). I will try to get over there once or twice before school starts...The rotation is going great!! I love it...I say, forget the scale and just jump right back in. Although if you missed most of the week, maybe you'll want to repeat week one. Just a thought.

shelly & carole- no i haven't found the HRM so i am led to believe it was not in my packagex( x( . hopefully i will have time to contact amazon today. i have never had to contact them about an order before.

today's workout was a spin class followed immediately with itread 4, 20 minutes. what a workout!!

have a great day all:)

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...enjoy your Yoga workout.

Marcia...sounds like a great weekend!! I will be curious to check out your site when it gets up and running.

Amy...welcome back! I bet you have some awesome pics of Hawaii. I don't think it was me that asked you about certification, but as you already teach kids that sounds like one great job! Glad you got Picturetrail working...:)

I am heading out for an early run so my DH can ride before he goes to work. Then I am doing GS Shoulders, Chest & Tri's instead of P90X CST, also some abs.

Have a great day..:)

Sunny...we posted at the same time. Sorry about the monitor not being in the package. Hopefully Amazon can straighten this out. Sounds like you had a good spin and iTread workout.

Sunny :: Oh yeah, I'd take the class every Monday if I could :D but woke up with my back acting up, so yoga's a better option for today...Oh, for some reason, I thought you ordered a Garmin without an HRM. Hope you get that worked out!

Carole :: Yeah, I think I was the one to ask Amy that question...enjoy your run & CT!

Hello Cheetahs!

It is great to be back! Hawaii was amazing, it truely is paradise. But it was getting too pricey! It was the food! Sometimes lunch could be 80 dollars! The food tasted great, but wow....the prices!

I didn't sleep more than 3 hours last night. :(
I am very jet-lagged. Hawaii is 6 hours behind the east coast!

I am hoping for better sleep tonight. I am going to keep myself up!

As for working out, I am going to try to get a midday run in. It is humid here, so I will have to see.
It is going to take a good week to get my body back on schedule, and that is including workout schedule!

I am sorry Carole - it was Cathy who asked me about the PT or FT fitness job. :)

Take care everyone, and enjoy your workouts!

-Amy

cathy- i ordered the 205 model. it doesn't have a HRM but shouldnn't it still have the strap? how would it monitor calories burned etc.?

carole- i loved my workout today. enjoy your run and time spent with dh!

amy- welcome back!! sounds like you had an awesome trip.

Sunny ~ the only strap you would have is the wrist strap. The models without HRMs estimate calories burned based upon the user profile information you enter.

WELCOME BACK, Amy - love your pic! :7

I actually stepped on the scale and I lost a pound from when I left. So, either all the walking did it's job OR it hasn't reflected on the scale yet :-( Either way, I'm back on track and ready to roll!!!:7

I'll be back!
Marcia.

Yoga's done. I opted for the warmup of Power Yoga for Athletes (15 min.) + one segment of 10 Min. Solutions Yoga. Thought I'd add on a portion of Yoga for Inflexible People to give it another shot, but like the first attempt, it was not only boring but the DVD itself seems faulty. That's one I will DIS-enable you all on! :p

Off to the chiro! BBL

cathy- thanks so much for the infor. if you hadn't mentioned anything i would have called amazon and would have egg on my face. i actually just went on amazon.com and yep you are right doesn't come with a strap. so i will get to use it this weekend!! can't wait:)

Good morning everyone!

Christine - Sounds like a fun workout you created yesterday!

Shelly - I do have the sweat wicking sleeveless tops. Silly me, I just use them for races. Go figure. The t-shirts don't usually bother me. I wear them mostly for my Zen to have something between the Zen and my skin. But, I won't be hard headed and I will invest in a good top for those long runs. :)

Susan - So glad the ITB is behaving.

Cathy - I'll have to try that Aquaphor on my lips. I could just taste the salt by the time I finished Saturday. Really made my lips dry.

Carole - A new running shirt it is. I think I deserve one anyway as much as I've been running. Hope you had a good run.

Amy - Welcome back! Glad you had fun! Can't wait to see pics.

Marcia - Welcome back! Glad you enjoyed your trip so much.

Sunny - Sorry to hear you couldn't locate your HRM. This is for your Garmin, right? Like Cathy, I thought you ordered one without the HRM.

I did PUB/PLB combo + abs and a 20 minute Yoga Zone.

Gotta get back to work. Enjoy your day everyone!

Jackie

Thanks ladies!

I am sooo tired right now - 3 hours of sleep is not cutting it.

No run today :(

I hope to be back to normal in a few days.

So I was up at 2AM signing up for picture trail last night!!!! I am finally getting on the ball here!!!!!

The pic I posted was in Maui - my DH and I were on a sunset boat cruise!!!!! It was wonderful. The Mahi Mahi fish was to die for!!!!!

I should be able to post more......

Have a great day!
Amy

Cheetahs,

I have a running (of course!) question for you.

On really hot days - do you think I could still get a good running workout if I just stay in and run in place in front of the air condioner? This may seem like a silly question, but....I am still working my running muscles, right?

I have run in place during some of Cathe's workouts to keep my heart rate up. I just don't want to injure myself (maybe I am not doing the proper running motion here).

Has anyone done this?

I do not have a treadmill, because DH and I have a small condo. Once we buy a house - a workout room is #1 for us!!!

THANK YOU!
Amy

Hi Lovely Cheetah Ladies!

Quick post for me today - crazy at work because we're getting ready for "Sales BootCamp" and I have to watch presentations and take tests. I feel like I'm in high school again! LOL. Did Spinervals Mental Toughness today. I like that one as it's more steady state. It's a long workout (85 minutes), but it's not as rough as some of the others.

Good to see everyone is good spirits for a Monday! Hope everyone has a great day!

Sunny :: *lol* Glad I saved you from givin' 'em hell for nothin'. :D So you're gonna wait for the weekend to try that thing out???

Jackie :: how is that Yoga Zone DVD?...I have looked all over for the Aquaphor to come in a smaller tube that would fit more easily into my purse or shorts pocket but no avail. I did get a trial size of it at the 5K I did in June, but I have pretty much squeezed out the last drop. :)

Amy :: I can't see your pic in the avatar. I see a little message that says the picture has been deleted or moved. Anyone else seeing that? With regard to running in the house, why not? I've only done it during Cathe's workouts, but it does get the heart rate up there, esp. the high knees. I don't know how long I could do it for, probably out of boredom, but I don't see anything wrong with it. You could alternate with jacks, terminators, mountain climbers, jumping rope, etc. Or you could also maybe do suicides down your hallway.

ETA: Hey, Christine! Good to see ya. Great workout!

Thanks Cathy!

I may just run in place for 1 hour tomorrow and watch one of Cathe's DVD's while doing so!

WHAT! My picture is now gone???? I am still seeing it on my computer! Let me know!

I will try again!!!
