:::CHEETAHS:::MONDAY ALREADY!!!

Good evening ladies!

***Beware***...there's a novel coming about nothing important. Feel free to skip this post:p.

Well, I must say that I just had one of the most delightful afternoons today:D. DSO and I went to this very highly rated Indian restaurant that I've been dying to try, although was a bit askeered to cuz I know nothing about the cuisine. They have a daily lunch buffet so I fgured that was the smartest way to try it out...you know, sample a bite of everything and decide what I like and don't like. Well, it was all FABULOUS!!! OMG, I think I'm in love!!! A couple of the offerings were a touch too hot for DSO (fine for me:)) but he absolutely loved some of the others. Will absolutely be going back there again. Oh, and the buffet was only $9/person:eek:...how can you beat that?!?!

Here's where things get kind of cute:)...

Since we both stuffed ourselves we figured we should go for a walk to the local park and back. As we stepped out the front door we were greeted, very enthusiastically by a strange cat. She was *extremely* affectionate, obviously not one of the neighborhood strays, rolling around at our feet and purring soooo loudly. I grabbed some food for her and she gobbled it up. We decided to continue on our way but she followed us so I went back and got a little more food and then we skidaddled while she was busy eating.

Just as we got to the edge of the park I heard VERY loud meowing across the street coming from the most beautiful kitty (different cat, now). I said something along the lines of "hi sweetie" and it came trotting right up, chattering away. This one was an un-neutered male, looked to be about 4-5 months old, and clearly scared (he was trembling). He obviously seemed like he belonged to someone. We stopped to pet him for a couple of minutes, protected him from a couple of cars that came whizzing past, and then decided to continue on to the park's trails. Well, don't you know, the sweet thing followed us for more than a mile around the park! Most of the time he trotted right between DSO and I like a dog. Of course, I couldn't help but think of Linda's Angel Dog. A couple of times he got distracted by something but he'd always run and catch up. What am I?...the Pied Piper of Kitties? At this point, we were about 1/4 mile from where we originally found him (we looped around the park) and he stopped at one of the houses, sat at the front door and started to bellow. He stopped following us at that point so I *hope* that was his home and we had just helped him find his way back there. I hope the little guy was okay after that:(.

So those are my ramblings for the day:D. I will be keeping both sweet kitties in my prayers tonight and hope that they both stay safe and healthy.

BRB with personals...

Posh - Wow, your MT is a real gem for offering her services to all of the Cheetahs!!! Hope you had a great workout. I hear ya, I'm a bit of a personal slogger myself;).

Karen - Uggh, so sorry that you're got walloped so hard. Sending get well {{{{VIBES}}}}. Hee, had to LOL when I picked up my first Pumpkin Latte of the season...couldn't help but think of you.

Jackie - That really is a fantastic time!!! It's no wonder you are still feeling Saturday's race. Great workout today! Hope you get that fireplace working soon...I have a feeling you're gonna need it;).

Judy - Great job on the run and multi-task! See, but I'm so totally envious that you can run right into the grocery store after your run. I look positively vile after a run:eek::confused:! We've actually had frozen water buckets out at the farm...go figure:confused:. Uggh, sorry to hear about DS's injury. Yeah, that's gonna be a *very* tough regimen:(.

Wendy - Oh, girl, I KNOW you can do it!!!! Enjoy your run tomorrow. Glad you got in touch with TNT!

Gloria - How is DH doing with all this going on between his cousin and his mom? I hope he's hanging in there...that's a lot for one person to take. I completely understand...you're absolutely right, family is family! HUSH! No snow talk....yet;). I do think it's beautiful but I'm just not ready, yet!

Cathy - I hope you're all curled up and comfy on the couch right now. Heading there to watch Terminator in a second:). I'll admit that I didn't make it in today for the titer...will have time after work tomorrow. I've even found myself typing gibberish every now and again, or sitting here, looking at the words and they just don't make "sense", you know? It's weird, very weird:confused:. Eh, perhaps it's just the senility setting in:p.

Okay, gots me a date with the couch for Sarah Connor. Hasta manana chicas!
