:::: CHEETAHS :::: is it MONDAY already???

>Wendy - how much are the Master's series? I can imagine that
>I would use those. I'm looking for shorter strength workouts
>that will allow me to maintain, but not take a full hour -
>which I no longer have.

I paid $63.81 for the Master Series, Christine. That includes shipping and it's a total of 6 work outs that are all about 50 mins long. Good deal if you ask me!}(

I am baaack!

WELCOME BACK, Laurie!!!!!!!!:+ :+ :+

I did B&G Standing Glutes and Abs Timesaver Premix. Great work out! Not as intense as the Leg Blast IMO but still a doozy!;) I also did reverse grip chin ups between leg exercises. I did 14 total and I am getting better at them every time! YEAY ME! LOL
I actually got to use my barbell too so that was uber exciting for me! LOL I actually used it for MM the other day as well but this was the first time for lower body.....Gosh, I need a life if this is what makes me happy! LOL :p :p :p

I will be back later for personals. I need to shower and make this house look like something before DS gets up from his nap and DH gets home from work! :7

I hope everyone is having a good day!

Hey guys. ANOTHER QUICK POST for me.

Field trip today was fun, but I was ready to get back to school by 1pm. lol All those Kindergartners...all that whining...all those bathroom trips....all the drama of everything! LOL They don't pay teachers ENOUGH, I say!

I'll be getting an outdoor run in this afternoon!
WOO HOO!
WOO HOO!
WOO HOO!
WOO HOO!
WOO! HOO!

Can you tell I'm excited? Both my boys have a game, so I'm dropping younger DS at my paretns' house at 4:45pm and they will take him to his game. Then I am taking older DS to his game at 5pm. His game doesn't start till 6. GEE...what shall I DO with a full HOUR??? There's a paved/gravel path right up the road from where his game is....so off I go. I'm shooting for 40 minutes. It's gorgeous out too. This will be my first outdoor run in a LONG time (besides the half a few weeks ago). Hope the treadmill misses me today! lol

Laurie - Hello. Beat Bethoven sounds like an interesting and fun race.

Carole - I prefer to run alone too but just afraid to do it. I love the peace and don't really want to do any talking. I have a nice bike route that's close by my house. The area is not very populated but it has lots of traffic. Just too many weirdos out there. I may get brave enough to do a short run one day and I'll have my mace.

Sunny - Those iTris & iBis are definitely boredom busters. I'll have to try one of the iCycles and make it work with my elliptical.

Christine - You mean there's another more torturous Spinerval out there than Have Mercy? ;) You go girl! Glad you love the torture and pain. Rich definitely adds too much in the comment area. I try to do some marching in place or get ahead of him while he's talking. How awesome is it that your DH took a yoga class? Good for him.

Wendy - New workouts! Yay!! How long will you maintain control? Great job with the chin ups! I think we all need a life because all of this working out and gadgets make me happy too.

Shelly - 3 weeks is a long time to be without DH. At least, you have your Cheetah friends.:7 Glad you enjoyed your run with your friend. Bet that was like a walk to you. Not running alone is definitely a safety issue for me. When I go to the park, there are other people around, but I run alone.

Jess - Glad you and the girls are enjoying your brother. I'm useless at an amusement park. I don't do any rides that don't go straight and slow. My tummy can't take it. The bike ride sounds like it was lots of fun.

Temps are rising here. Can't wait to get out in the sunshine!

The massage was WONDERFUL!...she seemed to get out all my kinks....I love massages...I mean seriously..:)...:)

Christine...Oh My!...I would have about died if my Dh said he took a yoga class, he is incredibly unflexible!! Good for Ved!! I got burnt out on Rich real quick...good job putting up with him. There is a "have mercy 2?"....wow! Allergies have been bad here too this year for a lot of people I know. Today it is windy again so I am staying in and doing laundry...;)

Wendy...not a bad price for the Master series. Aren't barbells way fun to use...:)..I have done that B&G premix and I really liked it.

Shelly....I bet you do miss your DH, hopefully the time flies by fast so you can meet him soon. The run with your friend sounds like it went well. It is nice to have company on trails. I liked the hack squats too as regular squats don't really hit my quads. Don't worry about parting with Amy's KBX, I will probably but it soon. The massage was well needed.

Jess..good job on the 20 mile bike ride!

Gayle...enjoy your afternoon outdoor run!!

Jackie...I can understand your not wanting to run alone. It does take some time to get used to it, but as you say where you run really makes a difference. In my neighborhood there are no worries but I know there are other places I would never attempt to run alone at. I am fairly paranoid myself...:)

I did about 30 min of the 2nd workout from Hardcore EX before my massage. I will do S&H shoulders & tris, some abs, inner and outer thigh work from GS Legs and 30 min on the EXT this afternoon. Seems like giving my glute a bit of rest from all the daily legwork is helping the pain alot....amazing what you can learn?....:)

Afternoon, cheetahs— :) :) :)

Oh my gosh—all these posts!!!!!! I better settle in here with a large glass of iced tea (my caffeine beverage of choice). Thanks for all the good wishes - no news still on the workfront.

Sunny :: ugh, hate having to wait that long for test results! I agree with Shelly, though - bet you've got nothin' to worry 'bout! Good for you for overcoming TTOM unpleasantness and working out, anyway. That’s not always easy.

Marcia :: hey! Good to see ya. Never heard of the Benderball.

Wendy :: it *does* seem like it’s gone quickly! But I remember thinking it was over quickly for you, too. Sure, I will post results. Don’t know about the photos, though. I am not quite at fightin’ weight! *lol* Enjoy those P90M workouts!! VERY intriguing previews!

Judy :: thanks for the feedback on the rotation…WOW on the breakfast – how fancy!…Double wow on all that Gatorade! Holy smokes!

Gayle :: So, you survived that trip with 100 kindergarteners!! Did I just hear you say, “They don’t pay teachers enough”???? AMEN! *lol* Enjoy the fresh air today – it’s gorgeous out there.

Carole :: thanks for the input! Means a lot to get cheetah approval…Yes, it looks like a lot of teachers are being moved around – which means we’ll be in the same building but working with different teams and moving to new classrooms. I have what might be considered by some a “luxury suite” compared to the classrooms I have taught in before, so I would prefer to stay put. (One year at my old school, I didn’t have a classroom at all and taught from a cart in four different rooms. So, the classroom issue might seem trivial, but it becomes “your space," and most people put a lot into it to make it a comfortable environment.) Anyway, unfortunately, it is not up to me. If I am moved, this will be my 4th move in 6 years. Ooh, the massage sounds heavenly!…I prefer solo running, too.

Laurie :: YAYAYAY!!! You’re back!! :) Glad to hear your ankle has allowed you to return to running…Now you’ve got that song stuck in my head. And yes, it is oh-so-true…The Beat Beethoven race sounds like a blast! (sorry, no pun intended—honest!)

Jackie :: thanks so much for all the good vibes!…Based on what I saw on the website, Xflowsion is not for me, either…I am starting to get lost in all of our acronyms as I try to figure out what w/out you did. *lol*

Christine :: *lol* about Rich…I’ll get to experience that joy soon. (One more week!) Very cool on DH getting into yoga…No, my job isn’t in danger – I just don’t know where exactly in the building I’ll be teaching. The administrators have the right to move you around to where they need or want you in any given year. Some people stay in the same spot for 30 years. Not me—I’m like a rolling stone…Hmmm, California *is* tempting!

Shelly :: No surprise here that you were gentle on your friend. You seem like someone who’d be a great coach! Glad she enjoyed the run so much. Hope tonight’s meeting is a short one.

Jess :: glad you’re having so much fun while Scot’s in town. Fingers crossed for Kiersten.

OK, I ate an early dinner and need to digest a bit more before I give yoga a go. I’m happy to say, my sinuses are cooperating now when I bend over, so I’m going to do YogaX (as much as I can handle—I struggle with the length and repetitiveness of that one).

Later, babes!
Cathy :)

Nope. Yoga not happening. I dozed on the couch for an hour and am still groggy. Have completely lost the urge. Rest day instead. That's OK. It would be a shock to myself if I ever did one week exactly in the order as planned. Back to couch.

~Cathy :)

So, anyone want a really cute puppy? He’s taking too many years off my life in terms of fright. LOL. This time we were on a busy street, both dogs were on the leash and we were about ½ a mile from home. I dropped the leash – a heavy retractable one and it scared him half to death. He took off running at full speed, yelping the entire time because the leash was following him (the poor thing was terrified). He would not stop when I called him (screamed for him!). I was terrified he would run into the street and he was running so fast that I could not keep up with him. I lost him and had no idea where he went. Of course I was in flipflops and a skirt, so I was not running nearly as fast as I can. Fortunately my neighbor came by and told me that he was sitting in my front yard – the poor little guy ran home thankfully. But his poor little paws were bloody from running so hard over pavement (he wore his claws right down to the quick). I soaked them in water (try that with a puppy) and cleaned them the best I could, but I had to get back to work. But I did take the time to just hold him and let him know he’s loved. I think he thought I was mad at him the way I was screaming for him. I’m waiting for DD14 to come home to tell me how he’s doing. I feel so horrible! Poor little guy.

Wendy – thanks for the info on P90 Masters. Sounds like a great deal!

Shelly – that sounds like fun – doing a trail run with a friend. Have fun with future runs! And yeah, not a fan of Rich. But I like the workout, so I put up with him.

Sunny – “Have Mercy” is actually a neat workout as you don’t HAVE to do all of it – but if you want even a 30 minute killer workout, it’s the way to go. Sorry you’re having TTOM issues… I HATE those!

Jess – glad to hear Kiersten can still have her tubes put in. I hope all is well. Sounds like you have a great plan for the girls. I think uncles spoiling them rotten is always a good thing!

Gayle – hope the outdoor run was simply fabulous!

Jackie – Have Mercy and Have Mercy 2 are tough, but he has some tougher ones out there, too. Tough stuff! But fun. Enjoy the sunshine!

Carole – Yeah, my DH is that way too – not flexible at all and things only things like running, biking and weights count for anything. So you can understand my stunned amazement that he took yoga. I think my first question was, “Okay, who are you and what did you do with my husband?!”

Cathy – Well, you’re welcome out here whenever you want! Hope you are feeling better. And I’m with you. If I don’t mix up workouts at least once, I feel weird.

Enjoy everyone…

Jeez - and on top of everything, DD14 comes home and she called to tell me she took a nasty tumble in PE and is scraped up pretty badly - nose dive into the gravel... Her knee is all messed up. Not a good day be one of my loved ones... :p I'll take a look at it tonight. But she says Jimmy is none-the-worse for wear from his ordeal.

Okay, I'm back from class, showered and settled in with my java so it's finally time for personals!:7 :7 :7

Gayle: The B&G bonus ab work (the ball work) is what's in the premix I did today. GREAT ab work out! I was thinking (in the beginning) that it was too easy but OMG as soon as that thought dared to cross my mind boy oh boy did she crank up the burn! }( :7 }( Sorry your DS never got to pitch but I'm glad he played well and that they won a game. A hike and nature tour with 100+ 5 year olds!?!? Bless your heart! LOL

Carole: P90 Master is the follow up to Power 90 and the prelude to the X so it's not exactly "WOW" material (LOL) though they do look like pretty good work outs!}( There is talk of a Master series for the X though! My credit card is sooooooooo ready for that one!!!:+

Laurie: I am so glad that you are back to running and even happier to have you back with the cheetahs!:+ Yeah so I am in to yoga now...can you believe it!?! LOL

Jackie: Man are you tempting me with the ITrain tri work outs! I'll have to dowload one and go to the gym at a time when it shouldn't be hard to switch machines and give it a shot. }( I've looked at Yoga Booty Ballet since getting into yoga but it didn't appeal to me for some reason.

Shelly: How nice that you hung back and let your friend set the pace for the run. Did you find it boring to run slower or was it refreshing to take it easy and have some company? I told my friend that is also running the Sheehan about the medals for everyone. We think that's a nice touch. The Masters series is easier then the X but alot of the exercises are the same or similar. It's just put together differently so that it's not as intense. It's the series that comes after Power 90 but before the X in intensity. I checked them all out now except for Cardio Core. I think I am really going to enjoy these. :)

Sunny: Good job getting that motivation back and getting a work out in. I have switched up work outs at the last minute often times simply because I had no motivation for what was planned. I'd rather do something different then nothing at all.

Jess: So glad you and your girls are having fun with your brother! Oh gosh, I haven't been on the tilt-a-whirl since I was a kid. I can't handle it! YIKES! LOL

Cathy: No biggie if you aren't comfortable posting pics. I understand!:) So is yoga the FINAL work out of the X rotation?? What did you think? Will you do it again at some point?

Christine: (((HUGS))) I think you need them more then Jimmy and your DD do!;) Let me know if you decide to order the master series. It looks like a mini X IMO. LOL
