Ahhh, gotta love a quiet Saturday morning when there's nowhere to rush off to. Life is good.

Wendy :: WOW! What FANTASTIC progress BF has made! http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_2313.gif Holy cow! Put me on her program!!! http://www.smileyskit.com/happy-lol-dancing-smileys_files/cheezy.gif Believe me, it is not taken as bragging AT ALL! But really, you BOTH should be proud of yourselves. Obviously, you are on the right career path! I just got the chills thinking about how you have the power to totally change people's lives for the better. WTG to both of you!!

Lorie :: http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/sign/sign0111.gif today! Hope you're feelin' ready to rock!

Today will be LL followed by a run. Fall weather has arrived ~ yay! ~ so it should be beautiful out there.

Hope everyone has a GREAT Saturday! BBL...

Hey Cathy!! Enjoy LL (I don't have that one!) & your run! I'm off to run too, 8 miles!! I know, I haven't done 8 in a while, but it's for my buddy who's training for Chicago next weekend. She was going to have to run it alone as our other buddy is out of town. So... I'm off! ;-)

Then later this morning my Mom is coming down & we're all going to a local fall festival- always tons of crafts and BAD food! (which I'll avoid!)

Have a great Saturday, Cheetahs!!!

Good Morning Girls!:)

Okay, time to play catch-up!;)

Wendi: My DH is a big bowler! He bowls on 2 leagues every winter and 1 league every summer. I used to bowl but after doing it for 10 years and STILL managing to be TERRIBLY INCONSISTENT, I gave up. I also never could get my average out of the 120's. UGH! My DH's average ranges basically between 190 and the low 200's depending on the house he's bowling in. He bowled a 300 once and is now waiting for an 800 series! I know what you mean about the lunge/squat combo. It's a KILLER!!!!}(

Carole: I think the neck is all good now. Thanks. :) Does Sadie smell sweet again? ;) So how was your conversation with Rich y'day? :7

Jackie: Oooh, so your next race is coming up next weekend! Good luck with it! I know you'll do great. :)

Christine: How is Jimmy feeling? Better I hope so that mommy can get some rest. ;)

Judy: You may not even get to read this considering you are heading out to PA today but I wanted to respond to you anyway. I need to grab an outdoor Itread next spring and give it a go. I've never tried one. Have fun at the game(s) today!

Cathy: So where are you headed with your college bud tonight? I have decided that I will do a back/ab circuit today. I'm just gonna keep crunching and pulling and crunching and chinning until I can't do it anymore....}( Have fun with LL today!}( Thanks for the kudos re: my BF. I appreciate it. :)

Jess: Enjoy your 8 miler today! I checked out your profile on your MDB Coaching site. You did a good job. How's that going so far, btw?

So I'm up for a back and ab circuit early this morning and then off to the gym for a run with me! I have to remember to call my inlaws before I head to the gym though. I've known about the party today for a while now but no one ever told me what time to be there! LOL

BBL!:+

Good morning Cathy and Jess! I am happy to report that it seems as if fall is here for us as well. The news says it's 64 out with low humidity. Yay!

Jess, have a great 8 miler!

Cath, enjoy LL and your run.

I am going to go get ready for my 5K. I still have that pesky chest cold but I don't feel terrible. I am not going to try for a PR, I just want to have a good run.

Happy Saturday, Cheetahs!

I will be back later.

CHEETAHS!

Cathy~ It is a quiet, beautiful, fall, Saturday morning here too. This might be my favorite time of the week.
Wendy~ We do not have to leave until noon. If you have an unused iTread code, it might be fun to try an outdoor one. There is still plenty of outdoor running ahead in the northeast.
Lorrie~ Good luck today!!! I hope congestion is not an issue :)
Jes~ ow did the 8 miles feel? You are nice friend!

Hi Jackie, Carole, Christine, Shelly, Wendi, Kristi & Susan

Today is a REST day! Shortly I will do some cooking for some friends who are moving into their new home this weekend. Then we will hit the road.

Edit & add:
Cathy~ I just went back to read last nights comments. DH is studying because he will re certify in cardiology. Cardiologists have to re certify every 10 years. This will be his second time re certifying. He is doing it early, ( he is due to re certify in 2011) and hopes it will be the last time.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I had no clue where even to look for the douche in the store, and I didn't want to ASK anyone...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/blab.gif[/img]...Have fun with meaner legs and a run.

Wendy...that is so awesome about your BF's results!! I can only imagine how good that makes you feel...http://www.emotihost.com/glass14/25.gif[/img]..Your DH sounds like a great bowler. I have not bowled in forever it seems. Rich was not too bad yesterday, he does have a killer bod...:)...enjoy your back and ab circuit.

Jess... enjoy your 8 mile run.

Lorie...http://bestsmileys.com/textinbubble2/14.gif[/img] on your 5K today!!

Jackie...yes, Sadie is an inside dog. Where we live I would not feel comfortable at all leaving her outside as she is too small. Sounds like you had fun with Grace yesterday.

Susan...you are definitely a rock of support for Mary. I do pray she gets through this.

Christine...we have not tried the douche yet. I just didn't want to get the peroxide near her eyes at all. It was funny too, that the lady in Rite Aid said her brother (who is a vet) always told her to douche around the eyes of any dog that got sprayed so we will see, the smell is slowly going away. How is Jimmy today?

Judy...the skunk smell is going. That 1st night it just seemed the smell was everywhere!! Good job on 8 miles yesterday. How nice to cook for your moving friends.

Today will be some kind of Kickbox, just not sure which one and I would like to add some leg work. We will also be pulling up the old flooring.

Have a good day...:)

Good morning again!! Had a great 8 mile run w/ my buddy. She wanted to run around a 10 min pace & guess what- we were EXACTLY at a 10 min pace!! 1 hour & 20 min run. Gorgeous weather, a bit chilly to start with but felt great at the end!!

Wendy ~ Everything seems to be going well so far! I'm just getting started but I'm excited about it! I'll keep ya posted on how it goes! It sounds like you're doing well w/ the PT- great job girl!!

Lorie ~ Good luck w/ the 5K!!! I hope you felt well enough to run well!! Post a report please!

Judy ~ Have a good rest day! It sounds like your kiddos are keeping you busy as always!

Carole ~ Enjoy your kickboxing workout today!

Susan ~ I'm so sorry about your friend Mary. My Great Aunt has had staph infection for a few months now, but she's still going strong & she's 94!! And it went undiagnosed for a while. Stay strong for her! I'll keep her in my prayers!

We're off to a fall festival after my Mom gets here. It will be packed with people, I'm sure! Lots of fun though!

LL (incl. abs) & a 3 mile run - DONE! Absolutely GORGEOUS today here in the Northeast. Sunny skies and a strong breeze. Made for perfect running weather. LL spanked me good, as usual.

Wendy :: not sure where/what we'll be up to tonight...hope you enjoyed the back/abs circuit and your run...Have fun at the party!!

Judy :: how nice of you to cook again for friends. I agree, a quiet Saturday morning in the fall is hard to beat...That is interesting to know that docs have to recertify like that.

Carole :: http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_spit.gif *lol* about the ongoing douche saga...Hope you enjoyed k'boxing & legs!

Lorie :: glad you felt good enough to go through w/ your 5K today. What a trooper you are!

OK, I gotta get moving here, get showered, and run some errands.

Hi Cheetahs!

Went back to the vet yesterday for stronger pain meds for Jimmy. He’s really taking this hard. I put the cone back on him last night and put him in his crate near the bed, so he was forced to be still. He just keeps moving and shifting, etc. Then I made the mistake of letting him out with the cone on and it scared him so badly (he ran into a bush) that he won’t go out front any more. I had to take him out back so he could go potty (funny, though, he “told” me he had to go “out” by going and sitting in the bathroom. Smart guy). He’s still not doing good, but the surgery site is clean and not puffy. Vet said some dogs are just more sensitive. Now I feel horrible, but it had to be done. Anyway, sorry for the whine fest. I’m going to try for a run this morning. Hopefully I’ll get in 10 miles, which is my goal, but with my being sick and all that, I won’t stress if I don’t get them all in. DH left this morning and DD14 is going to her BF’s today, so I have a day to myself. I’ll do a nice yoga session after my run.

Wendy – I just have to say that I’m VERY impressed! What a great job you’re doing with your first client! Good for you! And, no you’re not bragging! You’re telling it like it is!

Cathy – Enjoy your run! I love the fall, and really miss it out here. We don’t get the gorgeous changing of the leaves like you do. LL is a good one!

Jess – enjoy the fall festival. Sounds like a good time.

Lorie – GO LORIE!!!! Hope you do fabulous!

Judy – enjoy your rest day!

Carole – glad to hear the skunk smell is dissipating. I don’t blame you for not wanting to get anything near her eyes. One twist of the head, and ouch! Enjoy your kickbox workout!

Susan – how’s Mary today?

Shelly – where are you?

Hi to all who follow!

Good morning lovely cheetahs! It's great to be sitting here relaxing and chatting with you again. I wasn't able to post for a couple of days due to having a couple of genuine nights from hell at work. Just one crisis after another that kept me racing the whole 12 hrs, plus one extra catching up on paperwork with no time for a break. I have got to get into another area of work before I lose my mind! Yesterday after work I had intended to do a 6 mile hilly trail run but only had the energy for 3.5 and was amazed I was able to do that! Enough pity party here..... thanks for letting me rant a little!

Cathy- Hey, I'm with you in being truly grateful for this blessedly quiet peaceful Saturday morning:7 :7 :7 The weather here is wonderfully fall like also. Sounds like a great combo workout for you today with the legs:)

Lorie- Have a fantastic time with your 5k today! A few weeks ago I also ran a 5k while recovering from a cold. It didn't affect me too much but I certainly would have been hampered more trying for a longer distance. I think you'll surprise yourself today!

Jess- Great job on your 8 miles today!! Are you still looking for some PT job, or did you already find one?

Wendy- Your back and ab workout sounds challenging! I guess you've recovered from your bout with a cold now? From Cathy's post it souunds like you are doing some amazing things for your BF in her sessions.... no wonder to me!

Judy- That's great you are hosting your friends, it must be a hectic time for them. Have a great trip.... and good luck to your DH in his recert! I have to say, after the last few nights I've had just reading the word cardiology is giving me a headache! ;-)

Carole- I haven't had an opportunity to go back and catch up with the postings I missed but I assumed from today's that Sadie tangled with a skunk:eek: Skunks are everywhere of course but especially populous out here. The folks out here swear by those vinegar based douches. Sounds like a fun workout day for you. I love the destruction type homeimprovement projects, like tearing up old flooring!!! }( }(

Well, time to shake myself out of this dreamy lethargy I'm in. I slept like a STONE for 10 hours last night:eek:   Today will be my favorite-- Drillmax:7 -- the lowerbody circuit and 40 minutes on the EXT.

Have a great one y'all!

Hi Christine! Posting at the same time this morning:eek: Poor Jimmy is wearing the dreaded Satellite dish:eek:   I backtracked back to last Wednesday to find out what happened... I thought he had gotten some kind of injury... glad to hear it was just a neutering!
The worst thing about dogs wearing those cones is them banging into you all the time isn't it?
My goodness girl, I had no idea you were worried I may be miffed at you for your nurse comment. Of course I knew you were joking!!!!
Miffed at YOU? no way, no how... you are the epitome of sweetness
IMHO:* :* :*

Take it easy and relax and enjoy the scenery... the 10 miles will fly by, or whatever amount of miles you do!!

Good Afternoon Girls!

My work out is done but I must admit that I've decided to blow off ab work...for now atleast. :p I did Itread 3/40 mins and did it faster then I've ever done it before I think! Then I came home and did GS back work. I just can't phathom doing abs right now. I am soooo tired! I need a nap. I am resting tomorrow but I will probably throw in some abs to make up for my laziness with them today. :p Either that or if I feel really refreshed when I wake up from the nap and have the time, I will do them then. Either way, I'm not worried!:)

I have to leave here in about 2 hours to head to that party....YIKES! Better hit that bed FAST! LOL

Later taters!:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Christine - Sorry Jimmy is not doing well. Like how he told you he needed to go out. How did he do at work with you? Misread your post and thought it said you had to go feed the breasts. :)

Susan - How did the lab culture come out for Mary? Yes, you will get through this together.

Judy - Good job on the 8 miles yesterday. I found the recovery periods really helped too. Enjoy your rest day! Have a safe trip to Pittsburgh.

Wendy - Nice workout yesterday. Congratulations to your BF! What great progress!! That should give her a boost! I hope she's still enjoying it. Great job to the PT too! :) Have fun at the party today.

Cathy - Hope you have fun with your friend. Love those Saturday mornings too. Don't get them often because I'm always trying to get a run in. Since I've been racing on Sundays, I take Saturday as a rest day and I really like it. Glad you enjoyed your workout. Sounds gorgeous there. It's beautiful here too. My grass is so green again.

Jess - Glad you had a great 8 mile run with your friend. Enjoy the festival.

Lorie - Good luck with your race today!

Carole - Enjoy your workout today. What else do you plan on doing to the house. I close on my construction loan Monday and then it's all about go. Got to have it finished in 6 months to avoid more costs.

Shelly - Glad you were able to relax after the stressful nights at work. Sounds like it won't be none too soon when you make that career change. Enjoy your workout today.

I ran 9.2 miles this morning. I fused together iTread #6 Outdoors and #10 Outdoors. Only needed the first 30 minutes of the second ond. My legs gave out before my breathing. Those 1 minute recoveries were aprreciated. Also, did Cool It Off Express. Next weekend calls for a 15K race. Of course, I'll be doing the 10 mile race. So, that was good timing. I am now going to soak in a good hot bath.

Have a great Saturday!

Jackie

Well, I just got back and have not read any posts yet. So...I guess trying to run well when sick is not a good thing. I ran okay (started out a little too fast as my first mile was around 7:50) but had to stop and take 3 30-second walk breaks. I think the cold has moved into my chest and I was having a little trouble breathing. So, no PR. I finished in 27:55 and came in second in my age group. The overall women's winner ran 19:55!!!

When I finished the race, I started sneezing uncontrollably and have not stopped yet! I don't know what's going on!!! It actually feels like it might be allergies. Maybe that's what happened. I have no idea. All I know is I look like heck because my eyes are running and red, my nose is red from sneezing, and I can't stop coughing. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, well! Maybe next time.

Gonna go read the posts. Be back for personals later.

Hello again cheetahs! Back from doing my DM workout and feeling a good post workout glow:)

Jackie- Awesome job with the 9.2 miles today!!!

Lorie- I think you an a great race under the circumstances:eek: Your symptoms today do sound alot more like allergies. Especially considering you are more used to running indoors on your TM. Anyway, great job and congrats on the second place division finish:7 :7 :7 Hope you are feeing better soon!

ShellyC

I'm back. I only had 6 miles in me today. Not bad after being sick and not really eating for a week (although I did make up for it yesterday - which also did not help). I followed it with Yoga for Happiness Magically Hips. Oh my. I felt my 6 miles more than last week's 9 miles, but now I'm wonderfully relaxed and my legs are so well stretched. I LOVE that one! I finished and gave Jimmy a massage. He enjoyed that - he literally sank into the floor like a wet noodle - guess we're not the only ones - eh? I just feel bad for the guy as he's so no happy.

Shelly - I put the satelitte dish on Jim just for last night. I've been using an inflatable collar - looks like he is wearing an innertube around his neck - much more comfortable. The cone scared him. He will face down the biggest dog if he feels I'm threatened, but he hates to run into things! Glad you weren't mad. I just wanted to make sure... :p

Jackie - YES! Awesome job on the 9.2 miles! Way to go! I often take the iTread outdoors (I have all three) and string together the first phases of all of them for a 90 minute 6 minute run, 1 minute walk workout. It's great. I love the Outdoor ones!

Lorie - have to agree it's allergies. When I lived in New Mexico, I discovered I was allergic to Ponderosa pines. Whenever I'd go mountain biking in the woods, I'd come back exactly like that. My nose would run like a seive for a few hours. I'm sorry - it's not fun. I know.

OH MY GOSH!!! I am absolutely miserable. I have stopped sneezing uncontrollably (now, I am only sneezing intermittently) but I can't stop coughing and it sounds like I have smoked a ton of cigarettes or something. It's a really deep, ratling, raspy cough with "stuff" coming up. I'm freezing cold but sweating! WTH?!?!?! If this is allergies, I have never had them like this. I am allergic to cats and when I was a vet tech and had to handle cats, all that would happen is my nose would run a bit and my eyes would itch.

This is positively miserable. I can't imagine how I could feel pretty good before the race then right as I finished, get all this.

Okay, I am sorry for being so self-absorbed.

I am going to go sulk in a corner (not really, I look like crap and DF feels pretty sorry for me so I'm going to milk it!!!).
