:::: CHEETAHS :::: Hump Day, May 2nd

Hey Ladies!

I’m SOOO excited to get BBC. The more I read, the more I think I’ll really like them. I’m thinking of maybe doing a BBC/P90X rotation. We’ll see.

Kristi – Oh have fun in Raleigh! Sounds like you’ll have a fabulous time! Too bad you won’t be seeing Sunny!

Sunny – Yeah, I like what I’m doing. It’s a really nice change! Sounds like a great workout. So you like the iSculpts? I haven’t done any of those.

Cathy and Kristi – I’ll get some photos of Jimmy this weekend and post them. He’s getting SOO big, although he’s still so slim. I feed him MORE than I’m supposed to and he just burns it off. I wish I were like that!

Cathy – Besides the outfits – what do you think of Cardio Sweatfest? I’m always looking for a good kickbox workout. Enjoy your B&B workout!

Linda – Madison is soo big! She’s beautiful! Is she coming out of the puppy chewing, etc? Jimmy is actually a very good puppy. He surprised me how good he is, although I’m nervous at how high he can jump. We have six foot fences and I’m wondering if he’ll be able to jump them some day. Right now at 3 months he can jump into my arms while I’m standing and that’s from a stand still. Well, he’ll be good at agility at the very least! What kind of training did you do with Maddie?

OK, I'm back to report a change of plan. I kicked back a little TOO hard, dozed on the couch, and just woke up. Am feeling groggy enough that it makes sense to make today my rest day. Which, when I look back at the weeks, is pretty much how I've been doing the X, anyway -- taking a rest day about mid-week (usually Tuesday, actually) rather than on Sunday...The mid-week break seems to work best - I really enjoy my weekend workouts when I'm off from work and have the whole day and feel full of energy. So, I'm going to update the rest of the remaining weeks on the rotation, so that my break comes during the week - the way it alway seems to shake out, anyway.

Linda :: You know, I wasn't feeling this way throughout all phases of the X - this has been more recent for me. I'm just trying to trust the process...Thanks for sharing your story about running. They have all been so interesting to read. Did your dad ever take up running and achieve the 5-mile goal?

Good Evening Cheetah-Babes!:)

So do ya think I just change my screen name on here from Fit Mom to Cheetah Babe!? :7 :7 :p

Anywhooo...dinner is done so it's FINALLY time for some personals. :)

Gayle: EEEEWWWWWW, cat puke in the bed! How awful! x( Hope you recovered from that! LOL

Carole: You are so cute. You always add the best gifs to your posts!:) I hope you got to run rain-free...or atleast thunderstorm free!:)

Jackie: LOL, don't ya just love the sore butt! I've had that where it hurts to sit on anything harder then the softest sofa! I hope you are feeling less tender soon!}(

Jess: Often times I am in bed at 9:30! You are definately a younger cheetah than I am!;) Bocci ball is a great game. I've only played it a handful of times but it sure is fun!

Christine: I can't wait to hear your thoughts on BBC and I also can't wait to hear those familiar groans that can only be from good ol' DOMS once you've done Arms and Abs for the first time!}( LOL

Linda: What a touching story about how you started running. I guess I'm the looney one in the bunch as I started running merely for the FUN of it! LOL  }( :7

Kristi: Great pics! Thanks for sharing!:)

SunnyD: So what did you think of Isculpt? I have been hemming and hawing over them for a while now but I have a # of weight work outs for both endurance and strength so I question it being worth the purchase.

Cathy: So when will you be taking your first stab at cardio sweatfest? I don't have any of her work outs. For some reason I really don't have the urge to splurge on them. I guess that's a good thing considering how much other stuff I just bought! LOL }(

So I never ended up napping today but if I had gotten the required sleep I'd have napped...GO FIGURE!:p I have a feeling that I will be lazing on the couch with a book after DS goes to bed and then hitting the hay early tonight.

I got the box set of Harry Potter books from my sister for my B'day. I never had the patience to sit through the movies but continue to hear wonderful things about the books. I was in the market for a new read so it was the perfect thing to ask for! Now I've got SIX new reads! LOL I am about 60 pages into this first book and I am thoroughly enjoying it so far!:) Anyone else here ever read them? What did you think?

Oh Wendy - I LOVE the Harry Potter books! Enjoy them! They get better as they go on. I'm anxiously awaiting the last one (and I'm bummed as there will be no more).

Cathy - I found I did that with the "X" too - took a break mid week - it was easier for me. After a couple of those upper body workouts I was TOAST!

Wendy :: is it *possible* to change your screen name? (Mine is stupid.)...I probably will wait for a rainy day to do Sweatfest...it is nothing I would have been drawn to on my own, but I am always interested in a good k'boxing video, and an endorsement from the cheetahs means it's worth checking out...I was just on Collage checking out the CIAs...man, I need to stop. I still have BBC waiting for me when the X is done...No, I never got into HP. I read the first book (felt obligated to as a MS lang. arts teacher) and watched the first two movies, but it is just not my preferred genre. Cool that you've gotten into, though...I usually nap about once a week (though it was happening a little more often when I was on that higher dosage of meds) but sometimes I find myself napping unintentionally. I have gotten bad about dozing in front of the TV. Somehow it puts me to sleep.

Christine :: Jimmy sounds like a smart and talented little guy. And quite the jumper! Glad to know you shifted your rest days around, too, when doing the X. It seems to be working that way, and I figure - hey, as long as you get the workouts done, what difference does order make?

~Cathy :)

Cheetahs Check-in

Good evening, Cheetahs! The stress at work is finally calming down, but this is just the eye of the storm. Next week will most likely be a busy one trying to get ahead of deadlines so I can take off and enjoy the weekend with Mom and her husband. I am looking forward to a vacation.

I blasted off May yesterday morning with the Low Max step premix followed by the Muscle Max upper body push pull premix. This morning, I enjoyed the Kick Max boot camp challenge premix (which is my favorite way to do Kick Max).

I have not been to the club this week to jog in the pool. Rebecca and I were planning to go tonight, but a wild storm hit Central Texas after work. We went to Cotton Patch instead and had a nice conversation. Both of us have had a very stressful week so far. A jog in the pool would have been more refreshing, but the pool was closed tonight. Dinner with a friend and laughter is a good stress reliever too!

I went to the grocery store after dinner to pick up a few things. The heavens opened, and the parking lot flooded in a matter of minutes. I learned that my Asics running shoes are great for running, but they are not waterproof or at least not flood proof! My socks were soaking wet when I finally got home and took off my shoes. Of course, I had to run through a “river” of water. The bottom few inches of my jeans are still wet.

I wish I could report that I have been clearing a lot of clutter out of here. I need to discipline myself to get it done Friday night and Saturday. Rebecca is coming over Sunday morning to help me haul the stuff out of here.

I am shamelessly skimming through this thread tonight. I see a lot of enabling going on here, and I need to save my money for the Road Trip!

Cathy, I saw that you had some bold and underlined text in one of your messages. How did you do that?

Carole, your storm cloud made me laugh out loud. I had an unplanned run in a storm tonight! Umbrellas are worthless in Texas wind!

Blessings,
Heather B.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).
