~*~ CHEETAH'S FABULOUS FRIDAY ~*~

Wendy - for a perfect demo on how to do a Turkish Get Up go here - http://www.artofstrength.com - then click on the videos, and kettlebell training. In the 2006 section, he gives you the complete break down on Turkish Get Ups. It really helps get your form.

Jackie - Tony does incorporate a lot of core in these workouts. My core is toast today, too. I've been playing with Kettlebells - about every 15 minutes someone pops a head into my office and asks "what are those?". So it's another demo with the bells. I'm totally worked out today. :+ I'm impressed that you can do any of the ab work - I'm going to be struggling mightly! :p

Ok, I have me some java so I'm ready for personals...;)

Christine: The vaseline trick was a good idea to get the handles on the bands. I'll have to remember that one! Glad you liked Total Body+. I like all of the new work outs. They are tough even though they are short. The original system is awesome but I prefer slightly shorter work outs especially when ya still gotta do 20 minutes of ab work as well!}(
Awake the Body is the subtitle. The true title is "Ho'Ala ke Kino". If you click on my link and click on Tony's work outs you should find it towards the bottom some where. I believe it's $9.95. :)

Posh: Sorry you have been obnoxiously busy lately. I don't get like that often but when I do, OMG do I turn into one serious witch! LOL I HATE feeling overwhelmed and that's what happens when I don't have enough down/free time.

Cathy: Hope you enjoy that pedi! You deserve it! Good luck with your exam this weekend!!!

Gloria: Seems crazy busy days come with the territory when being a teacher. I always thought they had it easy...shows ya what I know! LOL

Kath: Love the compliment on your arms! That's so nice to hear once in a while, isn't it? :)

Shelly: So let us know when you are settled in your new pad! A visit will have to be arranged...only if you don't mind, ofcourse. :) The TM story is this....I was chugging along just fine. As you know I rely on the TM for most of my running. I trained for my 10 miler on it going 8 miles at what, for me, were pretty high speeds. No issues at all. Well maybe a couple weeks before my HM I suddenly fell apart and have no idea why. I can still run outside with absolutely no problem as I ran my half just fine but all of the sudden I feel out of control very quickly on the TM. I am not feeling dizzy at all. I just feel like my feet won't keep up with the TM at times and the faster I try to run the worse it is. It's not predictable either. Every time I get on the TM it changes. Sometimes it's better and sometimes it's worse. I tried to run inclines at 5.5 and couldn't do it the other day yet last week I was able to do that exact thing! It's very odd and scarey and frustrating. There was no warning and there is no reasonable explanation for it. I am extremely frustrated right now but am going to keep going back and trying. It's got to be some flukey thing that will eventually right itself I would think....My goodness I HOPE SO!!!

Wendi: No worries about the lack of personals. You are a busy cheetah. Hope you were able to make your dinner plans with DSO tonight! :9 So if ya can't make it for the George Sheehan Classic, we'll have to pick another race to do together! Want to train for the 18 miler in October!? :7

Carole: Glad you got out of work early today. How was L&B? I think DH fell off the X wagon. He hasn't done a work out in many days...Oh well. He tried! LOL

Jackie: Isn't Abs and Core more difficult then it looks!? Especially when you are already tired from the work out prior. }( I"m gonna keep trying to resolve the TM issues simply by not giving up. I will slowly increase my speed every work out and see if I can handle it. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me that I am back to normal soon!!!

K, looks like I'm all caught up!

BBL!:D

Christine...I do a bit of cheese myself, but don't get the IBS like bloat unless my DH stresses me!! Thanks for the TB review. I swear the P90X creators are men as there just is NOT much leg work...Love the Aussie pic!! We saw a tri colored Aussie the other day and my DH argued with me that it was NOT an Aussie.....til he asked the owner...:D

Jackie...I hope your dear brother can get the pull-up bar done right and SOON!!! LOL about talking to your supervisor about sharing days off with DH. NO, he won't be home til about 4 PM so I have some nice, QUIET time alone...you are too cute...:D...Those P90X+ workouts are sounding tough...

Wendy...Vaseline in a workout???...:D...I only did about 2/3's of L&B and will get in the rest and yoga in about 30 min from now...:)...I do love getting off fridays early...

Posh ~ nice! :D Gotta love Frank! :)

Hi Cheetahs!

This will be a drive by, unfortunately. I got back from DD's picnic and felt very tired and dizzy. :( Maybe I should blame it on Abercrombie?!! lol I had to zip in there to get a b-day gift for DD's party tomorrow. Whewie....do they spray the perfume in that store!!! GAG!!! I had to lie down when I got home. :( I didn't get to finish my weight work I had started this morn. :( I'm about to leave for DD's All Star game, but we are under a tornado watch. Should be interesting. Oh, I only did 2 miles on the treadmill because I was so darn tired and then started PUB/PLB bonus premix. Does anyone know how long that premix is? I only got 30 minutes into it. :( OK, have to round up the group. Hope this dizziness goes away. I have my TNT run tomorrow AM.

I'll get here tomorrow after the run. I can't wait to do NADA next week. Hope I get my energy back.

Have a great Friday eve.

Hi Cheetahs!

I am done, but am feeling a bit sad. This class has been the most challenging in my 7 years. I am too attached to them. This has been my hardest year ever. I just feel like crying because I will not see them. They are going to the middle school. Some parents gave me gifts and really nice cards. I don't know what it will be like to wake up and not go to school. If you haven't noticed, I need structure. I am writing them all postcards to say good bye again. Not only that, but we had a staff luncheon after school and shared a video where all the teachers said goodbye to my principal in their own way (sharing memories, laughs, saying goodbye). We played it and my principal lost it. So did I. I guess I am not so good with change as I thought I was. Anyway, I will get over this. Just a little emotional right now. I should be ecstatic. I will cry a little bit and be just fine. Thanks for listening. I will be back to posting personals tomorrow.
