::: CHEETAHS ::: Columbus Day - Monday

Hi Cheetahs.

Well, for whatever reason I was totally NOT motivated to work out this afternoon so I blew it off. UGH! I do plan on redeeming myself with a visit to the gym later on. I'm not sure what I'll do when I get there but ANYTHING is better then nothing, right? ;)

BBL for personals, I swear!:)

cathy- i have the chocolate pudding one, however i am also thinking of getting the cinnamon roll. i hear it's yummy:9 did you try yours with water or milk?

christine- sorry to hear about the GI issues. glad to see jimmy is doing so wonderful:)

Sunny: My HM training is going well. I have conquered 10 miles so I feel ready to go. I am going to try to get in one more long run this Sunday (11.5 miles) if I can as the HM is in 2 weeks-10/21. If I can't get that final long run in, I'll be disappointed but not discouraged. I know I can do it. It's just a matter of how long it takes me. I am predicting 2.50 to 2.75 hours.

Cathy: Hope you feel better fast!!! I hate throwing up! UGH!

Lorie: Glad you like BBC so far!

Judy: So what work out did you do today? Sorry to hear about the possibly rabid skunk. Did you call about it?

Shelly: Hope you are enjoying your rest day. I am sure tomorrow you will do a beast of a work out!!! Congrats again on your great race! I can't wait to hear what the next one entails!}(

Carole: Congrats on getting your pace under a 10 min mile! Hope the dentist gave you the thumbs up today!

Christine: Yes, getting back to reality definately DOES suck! LOL Glad Jimmy is finally recovered!:)

Susan: BBC full body (which I blew off today! ) is about an hour long and it is KILLER!}(

Jess: Glad you also had a fun w/e with the girls! Hope your marathoning friends are OKAY. Chicago was quite dangerous this year with the unseasonally HOT temps they had!

Hi all my Cheetah friends!

Cathy - I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. What a bummer about the weight loss. I'm glad you did have some loss though. Glad you decided to stay home.

Lorie - Don't sneak an iTread in there until you feel 100%. Glad you enjoyed BBC.

Judy - That skunk does sound weird. What a stinker! Did you get in a good workout?

Shelly - I think for you to even attempt the race you did took guts and determination. I'm still in awe! Can't wait to hear about your next race.

Wendy - Glad you had a fun weekend!

Carole - Are the teeth shining?

Susan - Glad the hip is feeling better.

Sunny - There's a Super Suppers about 30 minutes from me that I'd like to try. Let us know what you think.

It was a holiday for me. I was glad to be able to sleep in because I was exhausted by the time I got home yesterday.

Today's workout was BBC Shoulders & Back, Winsor Pilates Back and 10 assisted wide arm pull ups. My legs were happy to get a day off because they're sore. The quads are really sore from running downhill.

Have a good night!

Jackie

Hey all –

I’m back quickly. Jimmy is all better – stitches out and he’s as happy as a lark. He’s going to Doggie Day Camp tomorrow. I’m relieved.

Cathy – Oh, I ALWAYS getting excited when there’s a big drop on the scale. I kind of bounce around a weight loss, then settle into it – meaning if I’m down 5 pounds on Monday, Tuesday I’ll be up 3, Wednesday down 1, Thursday down 1 and Friday back to the low point. Yeah, definitely don’t want to run under those circumstances. I figure I’ll be okay with jus a run or two this week.

Susan – Glad to hear your hip flexor is feeling better! Nothing like a good run – eh? There really isn’t. I have to say that Yoga before a workout really gets the muscles warmed up. Enjoy your Monster Burrito. It’s only 3 pounds, and you can work it off tomorrow… :+

Jess – I love that Greg made a graveyard with the girls – how cute!

Amy – I love the blasts in KickMax! I feel like a kangaroo when I’m done! Have fun!

Carole – Or the cats in NM are not as well endowed with intelligence. He was a friend and a client, so we got to go to dinner on the company, which was really fun. I had a HUGE knee (I was always banging them when I mountain biked) and we ended up sitting with a couple from the Netherlands. It was a great evening all around. The next day with the infamous walk across the Continental Divide and the “Javelina” (I did tell you that one, didn’t I?) Mike and I always had adventures when we were together. Great job on the run! Love that you are getting faster! There’s hope for me!

Lorie – I’m the same way – seriously – I HATE when I can’t workout. I feel all out of sorts and miserable, even though I’m sick. I, too, am an addict. Jimmy is right as rain and about to bounce out of his skin. It’s doggie day camp tomorrow!

Wendy – oh yes, anything is better than nothing. And 20 minutes is better than 0. Nothing wrong with a quick workout.

Sunny – thanks – not fun! How’s everything going for you? Are you still the PT Goddess?

Wendy – I think you’re fine for the half. I just did 10 miles last week – I’m a little nervous that it was too close to my half. But I was thrilled with my recovery time – basically no time at all. Funny – we’re running about the same times, too. And that’s what I’m hoping for time-wise. I’d like to get it to 2:30 – but we’ll see.

Jackie - You deserve a holiday after that fabulous run! WAY TO GO!!!

Good evening ladies!

I'm sorry I've been MIA as far as posting goes but I've only had time to lurk during this crazy weekend. I was happy that I was able to get in a 4 miler, a 6 miler and a 8 miler Sat, Sun and Monday so that made me feel like I was back on track a bit. I was thrilled with the 8 miles today because I did the last mile in 7:50...WOOHOO! I tried to do Low Max Sat am and that just isn't going to happen yet. I am going to *try* to do PP or LIC Body Sculpt premix tomorrow am...I'll have to see how that goes. If not it'll probably be a rest day because I don't think I should run that many days in a row...or is it okay, Cheetah experts?

Cathy - Oh, you poor thing! I hope you nip that little bugger before you get too sick! Please don't beat yourself up about the weight fluctuations...I'm in the same boat right now for some reason :-(.

Lorie - I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better. That sounded like a tough workout considering you're still not 100%. BTW, I was singing the Chia pet theme all day because of that!

Shelly - All I can say is WOW!!!!! Just WOW!!!!! You know that was just plain evil of you to leave us all hanging like that }( LOL!

Judy - Did you end up calling animal control about that skunk?

Wendy - It sounds like you had a great time in A/C. I'd be more interested in the food and drink, rather than the gambling, too :9. You'll get back in the swing of things soon enough...although coming back to reality does suck x(.

Carole - How's your head from the acorn assault? I'm sorry but I had to LOL at that one!

Susan - I'm so glad your hip felt well enough to run...you must have had a blast! Nicholas gets *extremely* friendly when he's hungry. The rest of the time he could care less whether I exist or not.

Sunny - I'm a new cheetah cub, as well. I just started running about 8 weeks ago and these lovely ladies were kind enough to extend an invite. It's very nice to meet you!

Christine - It's great to hear that Jimmy's back in business! We will miss the daily adventures of "Conehead". WOW, that was quite a hike...it must have been beautiful! Awww, cute story about your friend. Ooh, sorry about the GI issues...I hope you're feeling better. WTG on the 10 miles!!!! You've inspired me to make that leap in the next week or so. My 8 miles felt GREAT today so who knows?

Jess - It sound like you had a fantastic time. The graveyard sounds so cute! 120 push-ups   ...you're nuts! That's amazing. I hope the marathon wasn't too tough on your buddies.

Amy - KM has a bit of a dread factor for me, too. I played with the order of things last time and loved it though. Warm-up, combos 1 and 2, intensity drills 1-5, combos 3 and 4, intensity drills 6-10. I don't find the combos get my HR up enough and then the intensity drills get it a little too high so this was my compromise.

Jackie - Congratulations on your race! That sounded like a very tough course...well done, high fives!!! I almost can't wait to try a 10 miler now. Geesh, soon it will be a HM :p.

I'll see everyone in the morning. Have a good night!

Hello Cheetahs! The day has slipped away from me. This will unfortunately need to be quick. I went to work like usual, however, 1 hour into my shift and I got a call from daycare. Annamarie has pink eye. DH took off work this morning to take her to her dr appt to confirm the diagnosis. Anyway, at lunch time I took my last 1/2 sick day for the remainder of this year so I could stay home with her and DH could go into work. It was a good afternoon, not very productive. She took a 3 hour nap and I took a 2 1/2 hour nap. She slept beside me in my bed so I would wake up if she stirred. We both must have been exhausted. After we got up then it was time to go pick up DS from the daycare's afterschool program.

Anyway, my planned workout was sidelined but I did take Chelsea on her first 1 mile run tonight with Annamarie in the baby jogger. It went good. I think the jogger helps to train Chelsea to stay on my left side or she will get ran over.

Waves to all cheetahs! Have a great night!

Shelly - I'm so proud of you and your race!!!!! Way to go girl! I hope to one day be as strong of a runner as you. BTW, what is the next race you illuded to? Don't keep us in suspense!!

Hi!

I'm back to report my work out since I finally did one! LOL

IClimb 4 which is an hour long f/b circuit using DB's and the elliptical. Well, being the cheetah that I am ;), I hopped on the TM for the cardio in place of the elliptical and did the weight work as produced. It was a great work out but next time I will need more variety in my DB weights. I only took one pair as suggested in the work out and they were too light for my legs, back and bi's. Oh well. Live and learn for next time!:)

Tomorrow I plan on doing lower body via something B&G or BBC's Butt and Legs but either way I am doing the BBC cardio portion afterwards!}(

Have a great night all!

I'll be back in the morning!:)
