Good Morning Cheetahs!

Yesterday I did GS UB so I think some DOMS will be setting in at some point today. I can feel it already.
Todays workout will be a run. I'd like to do a long run but I don't like planning that stuff, it never works out for me:) LOL

I uploaded some pics from Halloween if anyone wants to take a look see. Im gonna catch up on yesterdays thread and Ill be back!!!

Lori:)

Greetings Monday Warriors!

We have returned form out New England trip with 1,000 extra miles on our car. The weekend went well, but I won't bore my Cheetah friends with details. I am just happy to be back home safely. Next weekend we will be in Chicago for more of the same. And, hopefully we can catch a good restaurant or two.

I have not had a chance to read the weekends posts so forgive me for not commenting personally today. I will try to catch up and jump in at some point :) Today will be an easy paced 5-6 mile run. I have not run since last Monday and I hope my hip cooperates. Using the foam roller may also be a good choice.

Wendy** Ive never had leg cramps when Ive ran, maybe b/c I have never ran more then 10 miles? I was talking to a girl I know at the party Sat night and she asked if I was interested in running a 1/2 marathon with her in May. I think I would like to do it. It would be a great weekend away!:) Although, I say that now but Im pretty sure I wouldn't want to leave DS behind. The only way she won't be doing it is if she is pregnant. She has been trying now for about 3 yrs with no luck. I don't think I would want to go to the race without her but Im sure I could gear up my running partner to go...or my ex running partner I should say! LOL Sounds like you had a good time Sat night! Gotta love those meltdowns!!!:) :)

Carole** Thats to funny about the time!:) That also happened to a friend of mine. I wish you guys were right b/c I am back to work next weekend which means I will be working 13 hours on Sat night instead of 12! Just mu luck! DH did dress up, as you can see from the pics but neither one of us were to cleaver and came up with anything orginal! LOL

Christine** It is hard to get use to a new hairstyle. In May I had my hair cut pretty short (for me) but when I was pregnant I straightened it alot so there were all these straight peices that needed to be cut off. Anyway, I cut it up to my shoulders and haven't had it cut since! Its just getting to a length where its not sticking off at the layers anymore. When I was working out yesterday DH was sitting behind me (eating KFC) and he made comments on Cathes arms. He as seen her before and considers her crazy (in a nice way:) ) Prehaps he is secretly scared of her? hehe

Sunny** Glad to hear you enjoyed your rest day! You deserved it!

Shelly** Good job on the run. Exactly what I am hoping to do today, a nice with no stitches.!!!

Judy** HAppy to hear you made it back safe and sound!

Good Morning to everyone else who didn't check in yesterday! I haven't been around long enough to know who is missing yet.

Lori:)

Morning Ladies!:)

Sunny: Fitnessfix? What are these work outs? You are always finding workouts that I have never heard of! LOL Have you ever done the Marathon Training Itrain you are doing today? I have it. It's a goodie. }( If we could get a group together for a half next year again that would be GREAT! A yearly Cheetah HM gtg. HOW FUN!}( It would be on OUR coast this time though!:p

Judy: Busy weekend but you survived. You are busy quite often. Do you enjoy the hustle and bustle or do you wish you had more down time? I am a middle of the road type of girl. I hate having too little to do but also can't stand it when I there is so much going on that I feel like I have no time to myself. Enjoy your run today. :)

Lori: You've been running 10 miles for so long that a half should be a cinch for you. I hope you get to do that. I think you'll enjoy the experience. The racing experience is pretty awesome. I didn't get leg cramps at all during training and my last long training run was 10 miles. I guess I just reached my limit at the half. From now on I will take care to prevent leg cramps if I will be running for more then an hour.

Today is yoga for sure and I may add in some cardio afterwards. I'm not sure yet.

Off to get more coffee!:9
BFN!

Good Morning Cheetah Babes –

Yeah Red Sox! DH is happy! And the Pats blew away the poor Red Skins… Anyway, I’m a little tired as we were up late celebrating the Red Sox’s win. Today is a long workout day – 4DBC, C&B and Legs and abs. Then it’s off to a company meeting at t local hotel. I have to drive 2.1 miles, instead of 2. LOL. But I hate sitting in a conference room for 3 hours talking about the state of the company especially three days before month’s end with sales to close! :+

Sunny – Have fun with your iTread and leg workout!

Lori – I love the costumes! Looks like you had fun! Working 13 hours next Saturday? That’s not fair!! Sorry to hear it! I think I’m liking my hair short now. It’s much easier and I look younger and more professional. Too funny about your DH considering Cathe crazy.

Judy – Wow! That’s a lot of traveling! And again next weekend? Amazing! Enjoy your run – hopefully your hip feels good!

Wendy – Enjoy your yoga. Funny – I LOVE yoga after a tough workout. Nothing better for a good stretch. I get a kick out of how everyone is so different when it comes to workouts.

*Waves hello to all who follow*

i had to jump in and say hello to my cheetah babes. i missed you all over the weekend. df and i went to tennessee to the football game. we stayed at a really cute bed and breakfast in the smoky mountains. very romantic. we went for a run saturday morning but it was more of a run/walk. i guess this georgia girl is not used to running in the higher elevations!!!

sorry for the lack of personals but i slept late and have not even read anything above or fromthis weekend. once i get to work, i will really need to catch up on the important things like this thread!!!

love to all of you!!!

Good morning cheetahs

Sunny..definitely a busy rest day yesterday! Enjoy your long workout today.

Lori...your Halloween pics are cute! yeah, so much for the "Smart Clock"!! Sorry the time change affects your 1st shift like that.

Judy...Some busy weekend for you! I hope the run goes well today. I have been trying to use my roller more also.

Wendy...thanks...:)..I hope to do well in the LV HM. Hope you enjoyed Outback last night. Enjoy yoga and maybe some cardio today.

Shelly...sounded like a nice trail run yesterday. I think it would be best for you to train on pavement, the hills will make you strong for the flat course. Training on dirt won't prepare you real well for a pavement marathon IMO.

Christine...kids do say the darnedest things don't they! Thanks, it always feels good going the distance I needed too. I don't see a problem with the weight work close in your rotation. You definitely have a long workout today. Hope you survive the long meeting...yikes!

Lorie...sounds like you had a nice weekend.

I am planning on a 4 mile run and then sho, bi's and tri's from the 4DS.

Have a great day...:)

Hello Cheetahs!

I am back! I was thinking of you all and wanted to send some Cheetah Love!

I have been working out to Cathe and Leslie Sansone every morning and then going to the gym after work to run. I love it all!

I wish I could go to the gym more - but some days are just too busy!

:)

Take care everyone! Happy Working Out!

Amy :)

Good morning Cheetah babes!

Well, this weekend was definitely full of highs and lows. Here's the Reader's Digest version so as not to bore you all....

Friday - Flaky buyer showed up and the horse that we thought would be a perfect fit was beautiful for me and a jacka$$ for the trainer...no sale there. However, he *LOVED* the mare that has been less than good to me lately and is practically foaming at the mouth to get his hands on it. We all know that it will be a famous one down the road...YEAH!!!! *Fingers crossed*

Saturday - Horse show...horses were wonderful, had some wonky judging and yours truly had a decent goof in both jumping classes. Oh well, thrilled with horse...it was only her second show EVER and she couldn't have been better.

Sunday - Race day...Started off like $#!^ when I pretty much had to end it with my SO of 2 1/2 years. Had to leave right after for the race. I finished mid pack overall(which I was expecting), but only missed placing in my age group by 25 seconds. I was shooting to finish the 7K somewhere around 37 min and came in at 36:35 so I was pretty happy with that as the hilliness of the race was a bit of a surprise...a lot of "up" not a lot of "down". How does that work? Thank goodness the area I live (and run) in is fairly hilly.

Sunday night - Had the mini-reunion with our long time friends and it was wonderful! It was kind of freaky though to see the daughter (she and I were best friends growing up). The last time I saw her she was 13 and she's now 28. It kind of made me feel old for just a second lol.

So, my plan was to do Imax 2 or KPC today while at my mother's but I realized that I forgot my sneaks and I don't look forward to doing either of those barefoot so it will be a rest day today and probably tomorrow. Oh well, I'll start back again Weds.

Let me go catch up on personals. I've been sneaking glimpses here and there the past few days but I want to go back and take my time. Be back in bit!

Sunny - WTG on your 10 miler! I'm sure you felt so accomplished when you were done. Enjoy your workout(s) today!

Lori - With the distances that you regularly clock I don't think you'd have any problem running a half. Of course I'm no expert here ;-). I'm contemplating a half in March...I'm just not sure I'll be able to tolerate the cold air. So sorry about the long first shift...that really suxs x(!

Judy - Glad to have you back! That sounds like quite the trip...details wouldn't bore us, dear. I hope you had a wonderful time and have a chance to take a breath or two before you head off to Chicago!

Wendy - I *love* the idea of a Cheetah GTG HM! You guys had me LOLing about the toenail...probably because I got the beginnings of one from my trail run last week x(. Enjoy your yoga today...I wish I had the time to fit that one in.

Christine - I'm sure your hair looks great! Do we get to see a glamour shot, hon? Yeah, that meeting doesn't sound that thrilling. Enjoy your workout today...sounds like a fun one!

Lorie - Welcome home! It sounds like you had a lovely time on your getaway!

Carole- So sorry you missed your running mates yesterday but it sounds like you had a great run on your own...WTG! Half the clocks in my mother's house changed so it's really confusing here. I have to keep checking my phone because I don't know which one to believe.

Amy - Glad that you've been getting some good workouts in! It's good to hear from you.

I'll be back in a minute to catch up with everyone else. My mom's internet is doing some strange things and I don't want to lose what I've got so far.

Okay, personals, Chapter 2...

Cathy - I hope your internet goblins go away soon!

Linda - Welcome back! I hope you get those dvds soon!

Shelly - Ooh, so sorry about that groin pull you had...must have been quite painful to stop our very own Wonder Woman! It sounds like you had a lovely run yesterday. You make sure to tell your patients that you need your Cheetah time!

Okay I think that catches me up. Hi to anyone I might have missed! Have a great day Cheetahs!

Good morning cheetahpals! It'll be a busy day for me, after my workout got lots of shopping and chores, then having company over dinner. We'll be doing a steak BBQ- DH's favorite (not mine!) I only tolerate steak occasionally for him.

Lorie and Carole- I've been noticing that on our weekend in LV there will be a very fun event the day before the race, Dec.1st- the Great Santa Run. They are trying to beat the Guinness Book of World Records on the largest Santa Gathering. It's a 1 mile or 5k run or walk and with the registration you get a 5 piece Santa suit! Sounds like a hoot!! www.opportunityvillage.org/content/?c=29.

Wendy- Well, I guess I'll just have to get a pebble to put in my
shoe for the LV marathon so I can get myself an authentic black toenail!! :p Anything for our Miss Wendy!!;-) Hope you have a great yoga day!

SunnyD- What are the fitness fix workouts? Inquiring minds want to know!

Lori- Hope you get in a great stitch free run today! You work 12 hr shifts also? Are you a nurse too by any chance?

Judy- 1000 miles! That was quite a weekend  Glad you had a good time. I'd be hitting that foam roller well... hope your hip doesn't trouble ya!

Christine- My goodness, you're really starting to get me convinced to stick with yoga more! You're 3 hr conference sounds like torture to me!! I think you'll be ready for a mega yoga workout after that!

Lorie- Your weekend in the Smokies sounds wonderful!!! Yes, big changes in elevation can really make a difference in running. I live and run at 5500 ft elevation all the time so when I drop down to lower levels I really get quite an extra kick!

Carole- Thank you so much for your sage advice about training on pavement. That makes sense to me. With all the countless long distance races you have done I will heed your excellent advice.
It'll be easier anyway cuz now I don't have to drive to get to my runs. Just running around my "block" twice will be more than 20 miles!

Amy- Glad to hear that you are keeping up with the running and having fun!!

Wendi- Wow, what a weekend you had    Great news about that feisty mare probably getting sold!!!!!! OMG- I'm amazed you had the wherwithall to race after such a crappy start to your day!!!
You did great though:7 :7    Congratulations on beating your goal time!!!! And that was on a challenging hilly course too:eek:
I foresee lots of PRs and awards in your future the way your are going. Keep up the fantastic work and enjoy your rest day... you certainly deserve it!

Okay, I think I'm about caught up now. I'll be heading downstairs in a bit to do the doublecardio premix of the 4DS - HIS/LIS together.
I'd also like to get in the DM lowerbody circuit if I have the time.

tata

wendy- yep, i think a cheetah HM GTG in jersey would be awesome!! i have done the indoor marathon itrain before yes and really love it! which yoga workout are you doing today?

wendi- congratulations!!! great job on your new PR:)

judy- welcome back, glad you enjoyed your vacation.

shelly- (and wendy)- you can check out the fitnessfix workouts at amazon.com. i would post a direct link except i don't know how:eek: ... they are functional fitness workouts. great for balancing out the kinks for all of the cathe and running workouts we all do. she even has a foam roller section on the dvd's. the ab section this morning was one of the best abs i've ever done! i am feeling it already}(

carole- yep, unfortunately i never get a real rest day. enjoy your workout today!

lori- LOL- re: your story about dh and cathe's arms. i love her arms!!

christine- sounds like the new haircut is a huge hit. glad you love it!!

change of plans for my workout tonight i will be done GS back, shoulders and bi's.

Hey all.

Well, I did 20 mins of Yoga X. I haven't done any yoga in months so that's enough for me for today. I am opting out of cardio simply because I have stuff to get done this afternoon and will have to rush around if I do the cardio too so I decided it can wait. :)

My BF is coming over tonight to train. Joey needs a bath and I need to go food shopping DESPERATELY! I think I will drag the little guy out to the food store when he gets up from his nap and then a quick dinner and bath before BF gets here. It will be hectic but if I don't waste time, it can all get done.

It took me a freaking HOUR to get to work this morning! My job is 10-15 minutes away with the usual rush hour traffic! There was a fatal accident at the light on the corner right where my gym is. I had to sit forever in a back up on that highway to get detoured off and then I had to sit in MORE traffic! I had to make a huge circle that took me out past the gym and then I came back down the highway the other way and crossed over to get in the gym. The highway was still closed but the thru traffic was allowed to cross the road because the accident was cleared by the time I got there. I ended up seeing a car that was involved. The front of it was crushed! No wonder there was a fatality! I don't know what happened but I imagine it had to do with some idiot running a red light and hitting another car. I'm sure it was the person in the "other" car that got killed cause somehow the ones that cause these things to happen always seem to walk away from them. x(

Okay, that vent is over!:p

I'm off to shower. Hopefully I'll have time to get back here for personals before heading out to the store.

BFN girls!:+

Hello Cheetahs! Sorry this is a quick post. The day is getting away from me.

This weekend was a lot of fun. My inlaws camped at the Horse Park and DS stayed overnight with them both Friday and Saturday. DD wanted to go home with us both nights. Saturday was a big Halloween event at the Park. They still had all the festivities even though it rained almost all day and was really cold. DS won 2nd place in the costume contest. There were about 40 kids in his division. The kid that won 1st place was a lego. It was not well made, but creative. DS was so happy to win a $10 gift card to Walmart. He can't wait to buy a new toy. Anyway, both kids went trick or treating around the campsites. I prefer this over going on Halloween night, but we will still go anyway. :)

Sorry this is so short. I'm running out of time. Hopefully I will be able to come back later tonight for personals, but I'm not sure. Oh, for today's workout I am planning a 5 miler on the treadmill after the kids are in bed. This week I'm testing changing my workout time to night and see how that works for myself and family. I'll talk at ya later!!

:) :)

Wendi...glad the flaky guy showed up....so will he take the nasty mare you like?...:)..So sorry about things with your SO..:(..I think I have done those runs with all uphills!! Congrats on your time! The reunion sounded fun. Thanks re my run. I am wondering now if I need to change my Smart clocks manually this weekend?...

Shelly...Hope the BBQ tonight is fun. I was never much of a steak lover even before going vegetarian. I saw that event with the running Santa's. Sounds fun but I am not sure of my sisters plans yet, besides the Roller Coasters! Thank YOU, you are very sweet....and I think your training for this marathon has been very good so far. Enjoy your 4DS and maybe DM workouts.

Sunny...a GS workout sounds fun.

Wendy...sorry about the accident. It must be awful getting stuck like that. I'd be venting too!

Kristi...that is GREAT DS got 2nd for his costume!! I am trying to imagine what the kid that was the lego looked like...:)...Enjoy your 5 miler later.

Cathy...hey, we miss you. Hope you get your internet problems cleared up real soon...

I never got to run today as I almost forgot about my early massage!!! I am planning on 4DBC cardio (finally) a 20 min iClimb and sho, bi's & tri's from the 4DS....yes, the massage was wonderful....:)

*Waddles into forum* Okay, okay, whose bright idea was it that on All Hallow’s Eve, the day where the underworld and our earth are closest together, we should hand out CANDY to little folk dressed up in weird costumes?!?! Okay, the little folk don’t bother me – in fact, I rather enjoy them, but the CANDY!!! Someone dumped a boatload of chocolate on my desk, and me, being the kind and thoughtful person that I am (not to mention – I have NO willpower) I kindly consumed the offerings to appease the spiritworld. They should be VERY appeased… *sighs*

Okay, so I wasn’t quite THAT bad, but I did have more than I should have. I did get in a great workout this morning. I decided that 4DKB goes better with the leg workout, so I did that, and legs, abs and C&B. I’m feeling pretty thoroughly worked! It feels good. Now if I can just avoid this chocolate that seems to be permeating my office. :+ The meeting was as boring as I had feared, but it did mean that my afternoon is going faster as I’m busy. So, that’s not too bad.

Lorie – Sounds like you had a nice mix of fun and romance this weekend! How cool!

Carole – I’ll take the long workout over a long meeting any day! It felt good actually. I love the weight work in this workout – quick and to the point! But heavy. Enjoy your run! I have yet to do bi’s and tri’s from these workouts – that’s on the agenda for tomorrow. Hmm, run or massage… Not sure which one I would prefer… Oh wait, I have my sanity back – you made the right choice! :+ Glad it was wonderful!

Amy! - Glad to hear from you! Sounds like you’re having a busy ole time!

Wendi – Wow – what a weekend! Sorry to hear about your SO. That’s never easy. {{{HUGS}}}. Hope the mare works out for the buyer! And great job on show – for a second show ever, she sounds wonderful. Yay! I’d do KPC barefoot. I started off doing all kick boxing barefoot until DH moved me into the garage – it’s too cold in the AM to go barefoot there! I would not do Imax 2! Photos? I like to hide from the camera, so no glamour shots for me. :p

Shelly – I’m with you – the occasional steak is okay, but I’d rather have something else. Sounds like a busy day! Oh man! You ladies HAVE to do the Great Santa Run! Heck – I may come out for that. Only in Las Vegas! I thought the Bay to Breakers was bad. LOL. YES! Yoga is that great, but only if you do it consistently. I love my increased flexibility. I especially love being able to twist the whole way around to back the car up the driveway.

Sunny – it’s too humid on the east coast… LOL. I think we should plan a GTG and race in North Carolina at the beaches. We can all get together and crash at my dad’s house. That would be fun. :p Here’s a 10k we can do: http://www.beaufortroadrace.com/ We run the race, have a great seafood lunch, then go hang on the beach then grab showers, and hang on the deck enjoying some wine… :+

Wendy – good job with Yoga X – it does take a while to get back into yoga. I know that. Have fun training. Sounds like Joey is in for a whirl wind tour of the grocery and bath tub! Sorry about the accident this morning. I agree that the idiot who caused the accident always seems to walk away. *sighs*

Kristi – Sounds like you had a really fun weekend, even in the rain and cold. I seem to remember it was ALWAYS cold on Halloween when I lived in PA. I always had to wear layers under my costumes! Good luck on your workout time! Hope you find what works best for you and yours!

Fun, fun… My one coworker quit, another is on vacation this week and the last works 2AM to 11PM because he handles Europe. So, I get to handle all the calls coming in. Joy, joy. :p I guess I should go back and earn my paycheck! Have a great day everyone!
