Hope everyone's feeling well-rested and strong!

I caught up with most personals last night...except:

Wendy :: Do you recommend any other Baron w/outs? Any that might be more stretch than strength-oriented would be great. He did make me laugh when he kept referring to your flower "blossoming."...Enjoy your interval iTread today!

Thanks, everyone, for the responses about your vitamins. Though I've only been taking the new GNCs for a few days, I think I *can* feel a difference in energy. Maybe it's in my head but I thought I felt really perked up in the 3ish hour when I usually hit a little bit of a slump. Will see. Oh, and I'm happy to say, I'm feelin' good ~ no cold, thankfully!

This afternoon's workout will be a run + some abs.

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Well, yesterday's run never happened (I was way too tired...I was in bed and asleep by 7:30!) and I can't do it this am because I have to be in to work early...GRRRRR x(. I'm hoping I can get out of work before 6:00 so I can at least do SOMETHING tonight.

Shelly - That race is INSANE!!!! I couldn't imagine trying to do that    .

Lorie - I hope you start to feel better soon. That bug got you good, didn't it? {{{HUGS}}}

Kristi - You guys are really making me want to shoot for a half marathon in the future. Thanks for the inspiration!

Amy - I'm sorry you're a bit under the weather, as well. You sound very pumped for the week though. Yeah for getting a w/o under our belt!

Jackie - You've piqued my interest on BBC. The fact that you all say Barry's evil really has me intrigued, in a good way :7.

Christine - YEOUCH! That did not sound like an enjoyable ride! Yeah, they can be little buggers but I seem to have a knack for setting them up for the kids and they're much more fun to jump than the horses. It's too bad the pony side of our industry is so cut-throat and political. It's far worse than the horses. Still sending healing vibes to Jimmy! Oh, and that world record is just NUTS !!!!

Wendy - Count me in as another who thinks that you're going to surprise yourself at your HM. Great w/o...woohoo!

Cathy - Enjoy those hard earned DOMS! Congrats on the success with WW. That is a very good idea, BTW, about avoiding the social gatherings. I need to start doing that. I used to say "no" to going out with the clients/people from the barn. When I go out to eat I have had a lot of trouble keeping my eating in check lately. I really need to crack down, especially since I can't follow a "normal" rotation right now. I'm glad you enjoyed your yoga. I think I may start to think about taking a vitamin...I'll have to do some research on that one. I tend to be short on iron, zinc, calcium and D but usually have a surplus of everything else so I don't want to mega-dose on anything.

Susan - So glad to hear that Mary got some GOOD news this time. I hope they can keep everything in check. Those conditioning drills are killer...they get me every time!

Hopefully I'll BBL to say "Hi".

Have a great day everyone!

http://www.infohub.com/forums/images/smilies/ae.gif Good Morning Cheetahs. http://www.infohub.com/forums/images/smilies/ae.gif

I slept IN today...7am! WOW!http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Laughing/lol-032.gif[/IMG] I have to hit the gym, the foodstore and the bank this morning...not neccessarily in that order.

So my calves are a little tender from Barry's cardio y'day. That work out sure was tough on them. I could feel 'em burnin'...the quads too!}(

Cathy: I also have Journey into Power 2 by Baron. It's still power yoga but perhaps it's more of what you are looking for. It is chaptered so you can mix and match segments or do the entire work out. Here are the names of the chapters-perhaps it will give you an idea of what's involved:

Integration
Sun salutations
Warrior series
Balancing series
Triangle series
Backbending series
Abdominal series
Hip series
Forward bending
Surrender to Gravity

HTH some.

Wendi: Sorry you missed your work out y'day. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you can get something in today. :)

Alrighty...BBL chickies!

Good morning Wendi & Cathy and all who follow.

Wendi - You know us, we are all enablers. Go out and start training for a HM! LOL Just kidding. Good luck trying to fit in a run today. It sounds like your body really needed sleep last night. Like Christine told me before, exercising will always be there so don't feel bad if you're not able to do it when your schedule doesn't permit.

Carole - Where are you? I hope you enjoyed your day yesterday!

Cathy - A pound isn't much. It might be water weight based on what you said (PMSing). You are doing great on WWers!

Last night I thought I was done with my day. However, Chelsea had a mind of her own. She had so much pent up energy that around 9 last night I had to take her for a run.

Anyway, on taps for today will be PUB & PLB total body. I also need to quickly clean my house during lunch. My MIL is coming into town this afternoon so we can go shopping. We are both taking a vacation day so we can go shopping all day tomorrow. It will be a nice day. Needless to say, I won't be around here tomorrow.

Well, I need to get some work done. I'll BBL.

Good Morning cheetahs

I was kinda in a funk yesterday...:(...not real happy with all my DH's excuses putting off the work that needs to be done here...so I didn't do much in the morning but got in the 1st workout on Hardcore Extreme as I was in the mood for a circuit. DH did get off early from work so he could start prepping the floor. Today should be better...:)

Cathy...so how is the DOMS today?...Good job with Baron. There is some word he repeats alot that usually make me laugh, I will have to think of it. Enjoy your run and abs today.

Wendy...enjoy the BBC's' and more cardio this week.

Shelly...thanks re my speed. It does feel better to be running a bit faster without injuries! Thanks too for the link to your race...WOW!!!

Wendi...sounded like a tough Imax mish mosh, but happy you can get back in some stepping. I am still not sure about how well Cici will get along with JC. But for now they seem to tolerate each other. The worst about tearing up the carpet is those damn staples that tack down the foam!! Hope you can get in a workout today.

Christine...ahhh...so the bigger cone for the agile Jimmy! I hope his injury site heals up now. Good job with CCPP. Geeze...4:45 a mile for that guy in a marathon??? I am lucky to do 4:45 for a half mile...:)

Susan...Good news about Mary...:)...hope you are having fun with Gym Styles.

Lorie...hope the stuff you got at the store helps your cold! I hate being sick...sending healing vibes your way...

Kristi...the skunk smell is going. The douche did very well on Sadie's head and she is smelling much better now. Thanks, I am really enjoying the Chi running. Have fun with PLB & PUB...shopping also sounds fun...:)

Amy...sorry about the head cold, it must be the season.

Jackie...I agree, Barry is evil with his constant "Hold it"...but I think those weight workouts are effective.

I am planning on GS shoulders, a 4 mile run, abs and a leg workout. I am trying to do one GS upper body part a day and see if I like that. JC was sitting on my lap when I got here but it was hard to type so she jumped down, and I think she is now waiting for me to be done so she can come back!

Have a great day...:)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Cathy – Glad to hear your vitamins are working! Susan might be able to lead you to more Baron workouts. Enjoy your run and abs!

Wendi – I would think it would be more fun to work with the kids. Too bad it’s so political. I’ve heard about the horse world. It must be an interesting job – having to know everything about horses, managing a barn and school, and having a political side to rival a presidential candidate!

Wendy – I LOVE sleeping in! I did, too, but it was only ‘til 5AM. :+ Enjoy your day! Sounds like you had a killer workout yesterday.

Kristi – Enjoy your shopping trip!! Sounds like a good time! Nice you get a long with your MIL so well.

Carole – sorry to hear about your DH being a pain in the home repair category. Glad today will be better. Your JC sounds like a sweetie!!

Susan – great news about Mary!!!!

I need to get a run in today, so I’m thinking I’ll do the first 20 minutes of Yogilates 3, then after I wake up DD14, head out for a run. Jimmy seems to be doing better. Vet recommended Benadryl so he calms down, so I’ve been giving him that, and he seems much more relaxed.

Hi to all who follow!!

Good morning Cheetahs!

I hate being sick - since I never am! But I went to bed at 8PM last night and didn't get up at 5AM for my workout. I stayed in bed that extra hour. I need the sleep - this is why I got sick in the first place! Plus my students are all sick! I am sure all the teachers out there (Cathy!) know what I am talking about!

Also - a shout out to all the moms who have kids come home sick with colds from school!

SO.....when I get out of work today at 3.....I will be doing Cathe's Body Sculpting section 2 times on the Low Impact Step DVD.

I love it!

Then off to bed again early tonight! Gotta get better!

Take care all Cheetahs! Enjoy your Tuesday!

Amy :)

Good morning ladies!:)

Christine - Glad Jimmy is doing better today? Definitely an amazing time for the marathon! And, 4:45 pace - I would pass out! If I could run that fast, at least, I would get it over quickly. LOL!! I'd better stick to my 9-11 min. pace.

Wendy - I'm hoping to do the half in 2:30 but I really just want to complete it. Think you will do an awesome job! Great job with BBC Arms & Abs!

Kristi - Those 20 minute iTreads pack a punch! Is the laptop back yet? That's a good thing that Chelsea wanted to get out, right? Enjoy shopping tomorrow.

Susan - That's great news about Mary! Will continue to pray for her! Hope the hip feels better.

Cathy - Is DOMS still with you? Thanks for the review on Long & Lean. Glad you like it. Is it chaptered? Hope the vitamins are doing the trick for you.

Wendi - Sorry you didn't get your run in. Keeping my fingers crossed for you today. I think if Barry was my PT, he would push you to the next level. Tough guy!

Carole - You were missed yesterday. Glad you feel better today. Why is it so hard too get men to go ahead and get a project out of the way? Hope things are moving along today. Have a great workout!

Amy - Hope the cold is gone soon. Easier to pick up stuff from the students. That's one thing I don't like about flying is all the germs floating around in that confined area with no where to go. Feel better.

I did BBC Butt & Legs. I thought the 90 seconds would never be up on each exercise. Finished up with the rest of Arms & Abs and did some foam rolling.

Hello to everyone else!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Jackie

Good morning dear cheetahs! I slept well and have one more night off
before it's back to work. After a 4 mile run I'll be heading out with DH to do errands, etc, and then we hope to get in a good motorcycle ride. It's been a while.

Lorie- I sure hope you are feeling better today!

Kristi- Wow, you've got a tough workout all Pyramid day planned! I'm glad to hear you've got a fun vacation shopping day ahead of you.
Relax and enjoy!!!

Christine- So glad to hear that Jimmy is doing better now:) My Man against Horse race is 25 miles, just short of a marathon but it may as well be a full marathon considering the difficulty of the course!
I'm not sure how long it will take me studying before I feel confident enough to take the ACSM exam... I'm thinking several months at least and I also hope to do a workshop next year. Hope you get in a great run today!

Jackie- I got a chuckle out of your evil comment about Barry. He's definitely one who you love and hate at the same time. I think you've inspired me to hit the foam roller alot this week!

Susan- Glad to hear from you! I missed your post a few days ago about your friend Mary getting a staph infection.... poor thing!
I'm assuming it was likely MRSA (meth resistant staph) which is a big problem in hospital patients and those getting chemo since their resistance is so compromised. She is so lucky to have you their for her!

Wendy- A girlfriend getaway in AC!!! OOOH how wonderful:7 :7 :7
Hope you can get everything done today. Doing an endurance run Thursday? How long?

Cathy- Glad to hear that you didn't end up with a cold! So you like the Barone? Have a great afterwork run!

Wendi- Yes, this race is insane.... but then so am I!;-) Usually only about 3-4women attempt this each year and I will likely be the oldest by far. Sorry your job is so crazy that it leaves you no time for a decent workout often. Sounds like you and me both need a career change badly!

Carole- Hope you get some floorwork accomplished today! Sounds like JC has just fit right in to the household already:) How nice to have a little sorta cheetah in your lap while you're communicating with us! Your idea of one GS part per day is interesting..... I may try that some week.

Amy- sorry to hear that you are sick! Sounds like you should take a whole day off, not just sleep an extra hour!

Time to get off my tuckus and do something. I'll be running to my mailbox and back for 4 miles. I also plan on doing BM2 double upper body sometime today!

ShellyC

What a run! I only did 3 miles, but I was at mile 2 thinking, "Wow! This feels SOOO good!" I so needed that today. I'm ready to go to work now, but I'm going in late so I can "drug" the dog.

Amy - oh, being sick BITES! Hope you're feeling better soon!

Shelly - I agree - that course sounds much harder than most marathons! I can't wait to hear how you do! Thanks for the info on the ACSM exam! You'll be busy, as usual! But you'll do fabulous!

I am back from the gym. I did the interval Itread and logged 3.06 miles! Yeay, I surpassed the 3 mile mark! I was .10 above the top jogger pace for all high intervals and tried to stay mid-range for the low intervals. I'm happy!:+ :+ :+

I will come back for personals once DS is in bed. He is going up in T-6 minutes and counting....;)

Check ya later gators!:)

Back for personals.:)

Carole: Sorry about yesterday's funk. Hopefully all is better today. I hate when DH gets into butt-glue mode and ignores everything that needs to be done around the house. Right now he is forgiven due to the crazy hours he's working but normally....oh how it annoys me! There are 3 or 4 things he needs to do so we can put our house up for sale. He has been saying he'll do them for over a year now! HELLO!?!? x( x( x( Okay, rant over.:p

Christine: 5am!? YIKES! Now I feel lazy for sleeping until 7.

Amy: TAKE AIRBORNE!!!!!!:) Feel better!

Jackie: ITA on BBC Butt and Legs. It's a goodie! A real burner!}(

Shelly: When I say endurance run, I just mean the ITread endurance work out I did last week. It's 40 mins long. She qualifies it as endurance because there are not alot of speed changes or hills in it. It's mostly a fast, flat run. Enjoy that motorcycle ride!:)

Hellooooo Friendly Cheetahs!

Hey there is some new goings on around here!

Carole- congratulations on Sadie not smelling and your new Kitty!!!!

Shelly- Oh my! is all I can think of with your up coming race.

Wendy- Way to go on the Itread today! Grace is inspiring :)

Susan- OK so Mary is out of the woods. Fantastic!

Christine- Isn't it funny how our pets can manipulate us? My kitties will get on the table if they think I can't see them. Speaking of kitties so far today I've had the trifecta of hunting trophies: a bird, a mouse and a chipmunk. All from Sidney Crosby! He is a busy kitty!

Jackie- So you are still using the foam roller!

Wendi- Here are some~~~~ vibes~~~~~ for getting well~~~~~
Kristi- Are you shopping for anything in particular?
Lorie- Where are you?

OK this week on tap:
M- HSTA with heavy on Upper body and focus on using abs
T- Itread 60 min on TM 6.2 miles
W- yoga perhaps some upper body Cathe DVD premix
Th- easy 5 mile run
F- non running cardio, abs ( if no UB on Wed, then UB here)
Sa- 5 mile run not sure if I should do an Itread again or not
Su- rest

My butt is sore after doing HSTA yesterday (with great focus) and today's Itread (at paces above a jog but not quite a run) Also I played a tenis match right after the Itread. (not smart I know)

hi guys...

i feel like a major loser joining this forum and then not being able to kep up with personals lately. after not getting any better, i went to the doctor today. apparently, i have a lovely case of bronchitis and sinusitis for which i have been prescribed FIVE different meds! hopefully, i will be getting better soon. obviously, no working out for me. i am hoping i can start working out again next week and have decided to take an unplanned rest week this week.

hugs to everyone and i will try to read above and catch up with all of you.

xoxo!

ETA:

amy, if you are feeling badly, i would definitely suggest taking a day off to get better (especially working in the schools!). i really think if i had taken better care of myself when i was gettinh sick, i wouldn't be so sick now. also, because we both work in the schools, there are so many other germs we have to contend with! hope you feel better soon!

Lorie-

OK, there will be no beating one's self up around here!

You may have gotten bronchitis anyway if you were exposed to the right germs (bacterial or viral) Getting rest is is good choice, (although you really did not have a choice) You can visit us if you feel well enough.

Happy thoughts my friend!

Hi cheetahs… http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_running.gif

I’m making a little switcheroo with my workout today. Since I have a personal day tomorrow (for my neuro appt.), I’ll do the HSC Timesaver (which was on the schedule for tomorrow) tonight and run tomorrow instead. I like not running during rush hour traffic whenever possible!

Wendi :: busy schedule! Hope you get done work early enough to get in a workout.

Wendy :: thanks for the breakdown on journey into power…I think certain parts of my anatomy have already “surrendered to gravity.” *lol* GREAT job with your run today!

Kristi :: enjoy shopping with MIL!

Carole :: glad you’re back and the grouchies http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_oscargrouch.gif are gone! Now where’s that silly putty hammer when you need it, so you can give DH a good wollop! :7 ;) How’s the flooring coming along?…The DOMS is now gone…I like that idea of doing one GS body part per day. Let us know how that goes...Hey, I wanted to ask you...What, if anything, do you do for your bunion? Mine usually flares up (I also have arthritis in that foot) in the winter when it gets cold, but I think being back in dress shoes every day has exacerbated it.

Christine :: Glad the Benadryl is helping Jimmy stay calm. Sounds like a FAB run today!

Amy :: oh yes, I hear you…the germs have been RAMPANT since week one…hope you feel better!…And I agree with Lorie, consider staying home and resting. As one of my early mentors once said to me, it truly doesn’t do you, the kids, or your colleagues any good if you force yourself to go in when you really need to be home.

Jackie :: nope, no more DOMS…yes, L&L does have some chapter points: Warmup, Plank Side Pose, Eagle Pose, Bow Pose, Boat Pose.

Shelly :: yes, I do like Baron. I wouldn’t mind if he talked just a TAD less, but he’s likeable, and I enjoyed the workout overall…enjoy your night off!...Did you get to ride today?

Hi Judy and Lorie (feel better soon)!

Good evening Cheetah-land!

Well, I'm sitting here munching on a delish turkey meatloaf, some steamed broccoli and some butternut squash soup, enjoying my post-run "high"...all is right with the world! My boss let me have an early day today because I've worked 10 days straight and needed the break so I took advantage of the extra time and went out for another 8 miler...besting last week's time by 4 minutes, WOOHOO!!!

Wendy - Great w/o girl! WTG!!! Sounds like the extra sleep did you good.

Kristi - Yikes, that's quite the w/o! Have a great time with your MIL tomorrow.

Carole - That was exactly what I was thinking about when you said you were pulling up carpeting...all those !@#$^$ staples LOL! I had the same mess in my house when we pulled up ALL of the carpeting and refinished all of the beautiful original hardwood floors that were hiding underneath. I'm glad Sadie is smelling much sweeter these days! JC sounds like such a sweetie! I think she appreciates what you've done for her.

Christine - So glad for Jimmy (and you!) that the Benedryl is helping. It sounds like you really needed that run...WTG!

Amy - I hope you feel better soon! I can only imagine all of the "lovelies" that the kids bring to school with them...YUCK!

Jackie - 90 seconds? I thought BC's 60 seconds were tough!

Shelly - Oh, I hope you enjoy your ride today! I don't know what the weather's like by you but it's been perfect for that here. In fact, I saw the OCC guys (American Choppers) ride past the farm the other day...of course, spooking the horses that were turned out in the front :(. We can study together, LOL! Although, I'm still in the info gathering stage...I'm getting there.

Judy - Thanks for the vibes...sometimes it feels okay, sometimes it doesn't. I should have bought a case of Aleve at the rate I'm going through it lol. Oh, isn't it nice when our kitties leave such thoughtful gifts?

Lorie - Oh, honey, {{{HUGS}}}! Please, please, please take it easy until you're healthy again. Let your body recuperate.

I'm off to grab a little yogurt with banana and then I'm going to curl up in bed with Tosca's recipe book. Good night everyone!

Cathy - Enjoy your workout! HSC has become one of my all time faves...a little bit of everything when I'm not quite sure what to do :7. It does amaze me that all of you teachers stay as healthy as you do. Those kids are like walking petri(sp?) dishes :+.
