Christine...So you are coming to LAS VEGAS!!!!! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/r/bigdance2.gif[/img] I think that veggie burger sounds great!! I think you should get the Chi running book, Amazon.com has it for about $10 and some change. Thanks re John. I know this is also very tough on my sister. It has to suck big time when you cannot fix your own child. Sounds like a good run with Jimmy...cracking up to think of him bounding all over. Hope it works for your DD and the dorms.
Marcia...the festival sound interesting, have fun. You know, I have never been garage saling!
Cathy...I do know the ukky feeling when eating crud. Thank you for your thoughts on John and his family. I agree that my sister would benefit from a bit of therapy too. If you get any free time...read a bit of Chi running as you don't have to jump right in to the technique. It is better to become familiar with it first!
Shelly...thanks for the book info, After the RT talk about injuries I am sure the book would be good for me! As I read more in the Chi book today, I know now that I was running downhill wrong, which is probably why I have slight shin splints and my calf's are sore. Enjoy that long tough workout during your alone time.
Elaine..John has been wheelchair bound since the accident. It was a year ago on July 23rd. They say for para's if you don't walk in the 1st 2 years you probably won't. I never give up hope as that is just the way I am. But others in my family do not believe he will ever walk. Yes, check out Chi running, it is a good read.
Wendy..good job with BBC Fullbody. I agree cooking and cleaning are hard work and need some PC breaks...
...Thank you for your thoughts, I think this has been in John's head for some time, he just never talked about it. I feel it is normal for para's. Hopefully the therapy will help him.
Amy...enjoy the time with your grandma and family.
Jackie...explaining Chi running is not real easy! You do focus more on your body. You do more of a forward lean when running so your foot does not come down in front of your body. You also stride more with your leg back than stride with your leg forward. The book gives many exercises for preparing your body. I can honestly see why this way of running could prevent injuries and if you tap into your body's sense's you try and realx all the parts. Good job on the 6.4 miles. I have always been lucky about bathroom stops during a run..
Gayle...hope your friend finds you some good Vegas deals.
I had time by myself too! I did a nice hour workout kbxing, some L&G exercises and some cardio with my EXT. Then finished painting the entry and front door!
