I have a mish mosh of All Body Attack and Kick Butt Boot Camp on tap for today. I just got them y'day so I gotta try 'em out!}(

I have to get to the post office and food store this morning since I'm not working.

Good morning Cathy and Wendy and all other Cheetahs to follow!

Well this is my 4th day getting up at 5AM for my runs/Cathe workouts!

Today was a 3 mile run! I feel great!

I have both today and tomorrow off from teaching because of the Jewish holiday. For any of our Jewish Cheetahs - enjoy your holiday!

I am working the afterschool/summer program both today and tomorrow though (you know I love the hours and money - and the kids of course!)

Wendy :: I am off today only for Rosh Hoshanah. Other than working out, I have a to-do list that mostly involves schoolwork. Can't wait to hear what you think of the new workouts...enjoy!!

Hi Girls.

Well, my work out is actually done! WOOH! I have a confession to make though...I didn't really do ab work-well not enough of it anyway. There was a little ab work thrown in to what I was doing but not much so I may come back later and do more...

So I did Kick Butt Boot Camp's med ball segment + All Body Attack's upper body weight work. It took about an hour and...OUCHEES! I am definately feelin' it. }( So far both work outs get a thumbs up from me but I've done only very small portions of each so I need to try them each atleast one more time and do different segements. :)

Now it's time to get a quick shower before getting DS up and ready to head off to the post office and food store. Perhaps we'll even have time to hit the park for a bit...:)

Cathy...love that little twirling smiley!! It was nice to be home...:)...Yep 12 miles on sandy dirt, and you should see some of the hills!! Good job with PLB after work...I am sure it is tough to get in a workout in the beginning of the school year. Enjoy your day off and the run, abs and LIC premix.

Wendy...so a new job for DH!! Yes, I hate when you make these plans and then they get nixxed, but for the better hopefully. Just remember there will always be half marathons...:)...Sounds like the new workouts are definitely good ones.

Amy...good job with the 3 miles! Enjoy your 2 days off teaching..:)

Christine...good job on the run! And 2 hours of yoga! wow...:)...Yes, it was nice to get some things done being off yesterday...The skies here are a bit hazy but not a smoke smell, and we have cooled off a bit...thankfully.

I am doing PLB standing and at least 40 min on my EXT.

Good Morning Cheetahs!

My body is telling me to take a rest day today, so I am, unless I get antsy at lunch then I’ll do a Spinervals workout. I’m more sore from two hours of yoga than I am from my run, which I guess is a good thing. Too funny.

Cathy – enjoy your day off!! Our kids are at school. No time off. Glad to hear your school is more enlightened.

Wendy – wow, that sounds like quite a workout! Enjoy your errands!

Amy – nice to be back into the swing of things. Enjoy your day.

Carole – yes, it’s supposed to be cold here today – well, relatively cold – in the 70’s when it’s been in the 90’s the last few weeks. YEAH! I’m so ready for fall weather. Glad to hear you’re staying smoke free so far.

Well, I guess I should get my tail in gear and get ready for work. Ick. DH comes home tonight, so there’s some good news!
 
Good morning lovely cheetahbabes! Well, I got in my workouts yesterday but I definitely ran my tank down to empty the last week, so much so that I've come down with a URI (upper resp infection)
I get sick so rarely but even the mightiest falter sometimes;-) :p
Well, I don't let these slow me down.... much! I did sleep like a dead cheetah last night though:). In a little bit I'll be heading outdoors for a 6 mile hilly run :) :) That'll slay that nasty old cold virus!

Christine- You are smart to listen to your body.... unlike yours truly! I turn a deaf ear to my body complaining all too often I'm afraid. I do feel rested today though, just a little clogged in the head. I am way impressed with your 2 hrs of yoga!!! I'd be sore in a major way too.

Carole- Love your neener smiley! That's great you had a good time at your reunion. I bet your old girlfriends were secretly green with jealousy at how fit you are! A 12 mile run on sand:eek: :eek: Yikes!

Susan- Sounds like you made a very wise decision to stay put in Calif. I know you love where you are right now and you based your decision primarly on your kid's welfare.... no better reason!!!

Wendy- It does sound like your DH's job will pose some new problems.
Will the extra OT be part of it for a long time? I knew you'd like All Body attack! You really should try it all as produced.... it really is a butt kicker! Don't you just love the segments where she uses the step to work the upper body! Very innovative. Is Kick Butt bootcamp Mindy Mylrea's? Let me know what you think of it!

Cathy- That's great that you and Amy get some time off so you can regroup so to speak. Hope you get through your list today! Sounds like you have an awesome workout lined up with a run and the LIC premix!!!

Amy- Sounds like you're on a roll now with gettin in the workouts!

Time to get the bod in gear and head outdoors. I have a meeting later and then catch up on shopping. I'll be doing B&G this afternoon. Tomorrow I'll be meeting with friends for some kayaking!!!

GOod morning ladies,
I am chugging my green tea to get ready for Bootcamp and butts and gutts lying leg work. I still love bootcamp even though I have done it hundred times}( I am SO excited about the new dvd's after seeing the clips. It looks like high intensity workouts and time efficient, just what I need right now. I ran 4 miles yesterday and it felt great and my pace was about 6.5 an hour. So, the running is definitley coming along.

Cathy, That is nice you have a day off, kind of;-) I have not done the LIC upper body in a long time. I kind of forgot about LIC...

Wendy, I am jealous that your workout is done. If I would get off my hiny, mine would be done too! Sounds like a good workout. Who is the instructor for the kick butt bootcamp?

Carole, my hubby literally came home last week and said that he thought we should talk about moving to NC. He got a job offer through word of mouth through his job at EBAY. It was kind of exciting for a moment, but after I looked into the school district, I knew we had to stay put and we love it here anyway. Have fun with PLB. I have to stay I am so sick of the elliptical after using it so much. Do you ever get tired of it? I am loving the running though:)


Christine, 2 hours of yogas sounds wonderful. Which one did you do? I think you will like Eoinn. I have 2 of his dvd's and I love them and there are some premixes on there as well. I have the happiness one and then his original one. How long are you going to stick with this plan and do you miss the weights at all?

Shelly, I am glad you FINALLY got the check. Yes, I think we made the right decision staying. I tell ya when you have kids everything changes. If it were just me and my hubby, I would have gone for it. Kayaking sounds fun. I have never done that before. Hopefully you will be able to sit down after Butts and Gutts}(

Shelly - you ARE a Trooper! Running 6 hilly miles with an URI! *bows down before the Cheetah Goddess* Hope the run knocks out the URI right away! Good luck!

Susan - Right now I actually don't miss the weights. I'm finding the more yoga I do, the more patience I have for it, and I'm feeling very stretched and relaxed. I'm planning on getting Eoinn - probably ordering it today or tomorrow. I'd like to get a Baron Baptiste Power Yoga as well - I do like his teaching. It's funny how each instructor focuses on something a little different so that after a while, you really do find yourself able to do the poses. I've also noticed that in only 2 weeks, I'm much more flexible in my back. It was so built up from heavy weight (I go very heavy on back) that I was not able to even grab my feet for a basic bow pose. Now I can. If I ever can do a full back bend I'll know I've accomplished something!
 
Hey Christine-- I'm back and you can hold off on the bowing... at the most I deserve a little pat on the back for effort. I was more drained than I thought but I at least managed to squeeze out 5.3 miles and I was huffin and puffin! I hate feeling weak!! x( x( x(

Back to report my run is done. It was gorgeous out there -- lots of sunshine, NO humidity...ahhh, fall running (even though it is technically not yet fall) is welcome!! Enjoyed LIC u/b sculpt afterward ~ short & sweet, but oh how it burns my tri's especially!! Finished up with Amy Bento's 10 Min. Solutions abs, which used the green band. She did some standing twists similar to those in Squeeze. For the life of me, I do not feel much of anything while doing them. Then, thankfully, she went on to a bit of floorwork using the band. A few of the moves were pretty tough (e.g. bike maneuvers using the band around your feet and the hardest, IMO: a move that looks sort of like boat pose. You've got the band around your feet and you move in and out of boat pose.)

hello everyone remember me! sorry its been so long but I have been a busy woman theses days. between work,kids sports and getting the new house in order I have very little time to get online. anyway, house is almost done, the flooring goes in next week and then I thinkt he following week we might be able to move in.yippee. but no takers on my current home which bites a big one. I was really hoping we would sell but no such luck. my house looks gorgeous and I am so excited. I have managed to squeak in my workouts in between kids practices though. I have needed it just for the stress relief of a busy life. I hop0e you all are doing great and hopefully in a few weeks i can be a regular on here again!

Nice to hear from you. That is great that your house is almost done and gorgouse. I will think good thoughts about your old house selling. Good for you for finding time to workout. You are right,you gotta work out to keep the stress at bay. Take care and we will be looking for ya;-)
