::: CHEETAH BABES ::: Happy Friday!!!

RunninTeach

Cathlete
G'morning, ladies!! :) :) :)

Today will be a run + the KM leg. cond. drills. It's supposed to cool down tonight, but for now, it's still muggy, so I'll be hitting the streets early.

Wendy :: I was only kidding about the church thing. I think the chiro really came out of left field with that one. She even said something about how nice I am, no tattoos, etc., so a nice Christian guy would love to meet a woman like me. I thought, Huh? I wouldn't want to be with any guy who would judge me just for having a tattoo! And how does she know I'm Christian, anyway? Let's just stick to crackin' my back...anywho, re: Mr. Chaps...we don't get to that place much anymore ~ it was close to our old work, but who knows? If we happen to be there, I'm pretty sure that guy'll be there. He's like a fixture...*lol* about the photo BECAUSE yesterday I had a bunch of prints made, and I had the Adelphia's cheetah shot printed and put into a new photo mousepad I bought for my desk at work. :)

Laurie :: Those big checks are never easy to write, but it sounds like a good deal, knowing the kind of person who previously owned it. Good luck with your decision!...So was Bike Guy glad to see you again?...Thanks again ~ I've been having several back-to-back BLOB days that, to be honest, started from that one cheetah pic taken last Sunday outside the diner. Ever have a photo of yourself leave you horrified? I tried to brush it off but I keep thinking, ugh, is THIS what I REALLY look like? It's got me wondering if I have some sort of body distortion thing going on - like what I see in the mirror is NOT what others see. Kind of like the reverse of anorexics. *lol* I have to snap out of it is all. Sometimes I overthink things. :p :)

Well, enjoy your workouts & your Friday! BBL

Hey Cheetahs! I'm up early and figuring on a 6K run before work. Got 4 hours of broken sleep last night and need to clear my foggy brain with a good dose of O2 and some endorphins:) Strange that I can make a long mental list of blessings in my life but these past weeks I feel so anxious, sad and vaguely fearful.....it's just not business as usual for me. Once I get going I know it will be a good day:)

Cathy, yeah, bike guy treats me well but he's attached so it's just an opportunity to flirt and feel girly:) Feeling blobby is never good, it's so hard to be objective about ourselves. I've had many pictures that feel like a punch to the gut when I see them but it's just angles and light (right?!:)) thank goodness for the delete button!! I know all too well about the overthinking Cathy, it's a bit of a curse going round and round. It ain't easy being a single girl in this big world, we work so hard to make it look easy:)

Time to get this carcass moving! Later Cheetahs:)

Take Care
Laurie

Change of plan. Weather should be so gorgeous tomorrow, I'd rather save my last two runs for the week for then. So I'm switching up my days and today will be a MM u/b split premix & probably some cardio.

Laurie :: Do you have any idea what's at the root of the anxious feelings? Hope the run sets a positive tone for your day. Amazing what those endorphins can do, isn't it?...Too bad about bike guy...Agreed to all that you said. Better to just move on and keep working hard. :)

Morning Folks!:)

I have several choices of work outs runnin' through my mind today...help me out ladies! I was tellin' Cathy that I should do B&G today since I don't have a "long" run scheduled for this week but I am also considering the following: Muscle Endurance, BBC Full Body and ISculpt 6. What do y'all think I should do? I'm still leaning towards B&G but what would YOU do? }(

Cathy: Wow, that chiro was a bit outta line with that comment. Takes all kinds though, right? Oh, I know you aren't rushing to your local Church to look for a man but if you start going to Bingo you could find him THERE!:p Unfortunately a 90 min ride is a bit much for us just to partake in a wild night of Bingo fun! LOL :7 I like the mousepad idea! Very cute. Glad I am not the only one who thinks this way...Whew...I feel better.;)

Laurie: I put my pics from the RT in my photobucket link below if you want to check them out. There are only 3 pics though. That car sounds like a good deal but I don't blame you for not taking the decision lightly.

Good morning my Cheetahs!

I wanted to do personals today - but they just called me in to work (7AM!) and now I am working a 10 hour day with very active children! good cash!

So, everyone have a great day! Enjoy your workouts for me since I will not be doing my Cathe Basic Step today because I have to leave! (today was a light day anyway - as you can see - but I will take it as a rest day I guess!)

Happy Friday!

Enjoy!

Amy :)

Good Morning Cheetahs!
I was telling my DS about these great funny women I am chatting with on the Forum and that we are called the cheetahs, he asked if we were all around my age (45)? I said yes mostly some are a bit younger, a few a bit older and he said since we all work out we should be the "Cougars" like from that dating show:). I thought it was funny and nice for a 17 year old kid to say. Have you seen any of that show or heard the term?

I am off to do PUB.
Have a wonderful day cheetahs!!

Good morning Cheetahs! Quick post this morning, but I think I will have time to come back later. Today is S&A, ARX, and the 3 mile run I should have ran yesterday. Luckily I only have to work until noon today. Then I will be headed downtown to pick up circus tickets for DS & DS's friend. I also will be meeting a friend for lunch. We never get to go so this will be really nice. Today my inlaws are coming into town too. I absolutely love them to pieces. They want to take the kids for the weekend which will be nice, but they will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon because DS has his soccer evaluation tomorrow morning from 9-10:30. It will be a great weekend.

I hope everyone has a great day. Waves to all cheetahs!

Wendy :: I say go for B&G!...I would have to say I am usually the youngest person in the building when I go to bingo...not too much testerone in that place, either. *lol*

Amy :: enjoy the extra moolah!

Laura :: I didn't watch that show, but I know which one you mean. The one with the tennis player? What did they call the 20-something women?

Kristi :: sounds like a fun weekend! Enjoy the shorter work day & lunch with your friend today.

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Today is my REST day! YEAH! Although I just heard that I have to be in the lobby, bright eyed and bushy tailed Monday morning at 7AM, so chances are I’ll miss my run (Either that or I’ll get up at the equivalent of 2AM here!) Oh well, I’ll just move my schedule out a day and make it work! I am SOOO not looking forward to an overnight trip to NYC. Oh well C’est la vie.

Carole – LOVE the shot of you and Cathy – you look so content with her.

Cathy – I think PS is one you can safely skip. It’s okay, but GS is much better. Too funny about the Chiro and the nice Christian guy.

Laurie – yes, it does sound like a good deal. I hope the run works wonders for you and helps restore you back to your normal self. I hate when I get like that. I hope everything works out as well. Having been a single gal and a single mom, I do agree that it’s nice to have someone to help with the burdens. But sometimes there’s something really nice about not having someone to answer to. It’s all give and take I guess.

Wendy – ME, BBC Full body AND iSculpt 6? Ouch! I’m impressed! I say go for B&G – I love that workout! Bingo eh? That is way too funny!

Amy – enjoy your 10 hour day with active children!

Laura – that’s funny – the Cougars? First the Cheetahs, now the cougars and we’re not even a catty bunch! :p We are chatty, though. Cute that your son suggested it!

Kristi – Sounds like a nice day and weekend you have planned! Enjoy S&A, ARX and your run!

Enjoy everyone! And HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Even though I have a one day weekend. Grr…

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...Enjoy MM Upper and cardio. I bet it can get old when people try and set you up. My sister is always trying the matchmaker thing and I am like....let it go! I am a true believer in things happening when you least expect it, like meeting a guy. You deserve someone special, just as long as he doesn't eat Scrapple!!

Wendy...I say go for B&G!!! Wendy...yes she was a nasty server and so was the lady the night before...sisters???...:)..You definitely have me interested about the chaps guy now...especially a lost member of ZZ top...Hey, geek here too as I plan on framing some of the pics from the RT.

Amy...have a good day at work.

Kristi...so you are going to the Circus! Sounds like a good workout. I always liked S&A the best.

Christine..an overnight trip to NYC?...no fun at all! Thank you, I really like that pic of me and Cathe too. How could you not be content standing next to her...:)..I think I am going to skip the RNR half. I am still thinking about going to Las Vegas to run a half when Shelly does the full in Dec...wanna go?...:)...:)..Enjoy your rest day.

Jackie...Greek yogurt sounds interesting! I do occasionally eat Soy yogurt as before going vegetarian yogurt was something I ate often. How long do you normally stretch everyday?

Laura...Sounds like what you did was HIIT. I do a form of HIIT training when I do an interval run, and it kicks my booty. I have lost a bit of speed and trying to get it back is tough...I wouldn't do more than 2 or 3 HIIT workouts per week, as it is tough on the joints.

Shelly...we probably still have a bit of jetlag. It hit me yesterday too as it seemed hard to get going in a workout. Once I did I felt better, good job ob the 15!! I have had fun telling all my clients about the Scrapple and of course Helga!! But most want to hear about the taxi ride with the Jamaican!

Laurie..good job with Drillmax yesterday. I think the car sounds like a good deal. You know, you have to have something dependable to get around in. Sometimes the broken sleep lets those tough decisions creep into your brain. I do the same mental list about blessings too. Hope the day gets a lot better!

So I got online here last night to check out the Forum, and this foul mouthed troll had 2 posts in the open forum and one post here!!! Yes, I mean disgusting!! Luckily SNM shut them down ASAP!

Today I am thinking of Bodymax upper body and a 4 mile run.

Have a great day...

Good morning lovely cheetahs! Well, I got ANOTHER meeting to go to this morningx( Then back home for a workout and a nap before I go back into the pits tonight for work. Don't get me wrong, I usually do love my job. It's just been particularly draining lately.

Kristi- I can just picture all the cute little 5-6 yr olds playing soccer. I bet your DS will love it! It does sound like you have a great weekend ahead..... going for a long run???

Wendy- Well, count me in as geeky too girl! I've bought frames also for a group cheetah pic and the one with me and Cathe for my workout room..... so there! Okay, I'm going to be difficult and play devils advocate.... I'd go for ME (works the legs great but you also get in upper body) But hey, you can't go wrong with B&G either ;-) Why not do both? }(

Laurie- I'd say the car sounds like a good solid choice. But it is hard making those big purchases! I hope your run produces some nice endorphins for you to help you lift out of this funk!!! Hugs to you sweetie!

Cathy- I say join a running club!!!! There are always people there of all fitness/running levels, not just super elites. Just don't join a group activity that you wouldn't normally like to do just to meet an eligible guy. That's phony and you're not a phony gal, you're the real deal doll! Have a great cardio/MM day.

Amy- Oh my, I'd say you'll be getting in enough workout today lasting 10 yrs with a bunch of energetic little ones:eek:

Laura- I love the cougar comment by your DS! But cheetahs are cuter;-) Enjoy PUB, that one never fails to give me DOMS. How do you fare with the stability ball ab section?

Christine- up early again I see! I feel for you making an overnighter to NYC.... it'll take you a few days to recover!

Carole- That would be beyond awesome if you could join me in Las Vegas!!!! :7 :7 :7 It should be pretty darn FUN and any cheetah here who wants to jaunt out to LV in December is more than welcome.
Have a great time with your run and BM2!!

Time to get my act together. Today after my meeting will be AllBodyAttack and 40 minutes on the EXT.

ShellyC

Christine :: NY for one day? That stinks. Lotta travel! If you were going to be there for a few days, I'd come up and meet ya!

Carole :: a troll HERE? What did this weirdo say?...*lol* about the Scrapple - oh that would be a dealbreaker, for sure.

Shelly :: a running club is an interesting idea, but I know I won't be making any new commitments this fall...work will be keeping me plenty busy w/ the new process I'm going through...Generally, I'm of the mindset that I don't want to have to try too hard to meet anyone...I believe in doing your thing and letting things happening naturally. BTW, I am still considering Vegas!!

Good morning ladies!

Shelly - I think iTread 21 is definitely worth getting. I plan on doing it next week for my speed drills run. You're an animal with all of these kick butt workouts! :)

Cathy - A pedi sounds nice. I really need one but it will have to wait just a little longer. Greek yogurt is really thick and creamy. It makes me feel like I'm eating ice cream. I put some protein powder and Bear Naked granola in it and it's yummy!! Need to pick up some more.

Wendy - You have to watch those men in churches. They're not all they're chalked up to be. ;) Giving that iTread 21 a go next week. I know Grace loves speed. I'm just not there with her yet. I didn't like Mimi (Milenia) too much with the free workout we got. Have you done an iSculpt with Grace yet? I think you should do B&G since you don't have a long run coming up.

Laurie - What did you decide on the car? It does sound like a bargain if the car was well maintained. I always figure if I take care of my car, it will take care of me. Have a good run.

Amy - Hope you have a good day at work. Extra $$$ is always good!

Laura - I've never heard of the show "Cougars". It's nice that your son took an interest. Have fun with PUB. Love that one.

Kristi - Sounds like a busy day for you. Enjoy your run and time with friend and family.

Christine - Enjoy your rest day! NYC sounds like fun. Think you will be going often? Hope you can work a run in there.

Carole - I like to stretch anywhere from 10 - 30 minutes. It just depends on how much time I have. Before I started doing yoga, I could barely touch the floor. Now, it's not a problem. Running has made my hamstrings a little tighter. So, I try to keep some kind of stretching in my workouts. Enjoy your upper body workout and run!

I did Turbo Jam Fat Blaster, 20 minutes on the elliptical, 6 Minute Abs and some stretching with the foam roller. I had a 3 mile pace run on my schedule but just didn't feel like doing it this morning. Quads, glutes, hamstrings and core are still sore. I'm guessing it's coming from the tempo run and ARX. I'm glad I have a massage scheduled for in the morning. Need to get these legs ready for my race Sunday morning.

Gotta get to work! Enjoy your day Cheetah Babes!

Jackie

Carole - Going to the circus...I live in a circus. LOL We will be going to the circus next Saturday. DS is so excited especially since he will be seeing his best friend then too. They are a year apart and don't get to see each other much since DS is in school now. That server sounds horrible. Don't these people realize if you give good service then you will get tips.

Shelly - I'm going to try to get a long run (5 miles) in tomorrow sometime. Tomorrow will be pretty busy, but if not Saturday then I will do it Sunday. Good luck tonight working. When is your next day off?

Hi Ladies!! I’m back!!

Carole – I’m going to be in Vegas in November to meet a friend (with the Aussies – she has Miss Tillie, an Aussie female). So I’ll have to pass in December, unfortunately. And I’m not looking forward to my overnight. Oh well... Enjoy BodyMax UB and your run!

Shelly – I’m always up early! Today I slept in until 5:30! It was very nice! I know what you mean about meetings. They are draining and I can imagine they would be especially so if they are when you’re used to sleeping. . I hope you’re almost done with those.

Jackie – I’ll bring my shoes and clothes, just in case I can run, although it will have to be on the treadmill at the gym because I won’t run in downtown Manhattan outside at 5AM! Okay, so I’m a bit out of touch – what race are you doing Sunday?

Kristi – I love the circus. It’s one of the reasons I’m bummed my girls are older – no more fun things like that any more.

Happy Friday All!

Hey guys. Later than normal post for me.

I was up very late again last night and I just could not get out of bed when the alarm went off. I ended up getting my workout in just now....mid-day, which is unusual for me, but I wanted to keep my Road Trip Momentum going. I did GS Back & Bis, and S&H Legs. I'm up to 65 lbs on the barbell for all the leg work in the S&H workout. I'm feeling it already...wait till tomorrow!

2 girlfriends and I are going, this evening, to walk the 4.5+ mile route that one of them has on our relay marathon next month. She's a bit afraid because her relay leg has a hill in it, so I suggested we walk the route just to see the lay of the land. So, I'll also be adding that onto my workouts for the day.

Zachary and I have been alone since last night, since older DS stayed at a friend's house, then went to the friend's dad's company picnic with them. So I decided this morning to make it a special day for Zach, and I took him to the local amusement park and water park. It was fun, until the storms rolled in.....but it was great till then!

BBL to say HI!

Gayle

Just a drive-by post...will do personals in the AM.

I have to correct myself - I got my abbreviations wrong this morning - it was ME (not MM) on today's agenda. (Well, it was on tomorrow's agenda but I switched up.) Did the u/b split, abs, and the KM Kick & Punch combos (1-4) wearing weighted gloves. Fun!

Now I'm off to meet some friends to watch the Eagles game. Am trying the thong thing once more as I am wearing white capris and hope I do not go insane with the feeling of having floss up my craw. I can't say I'm all that comfortable right now, but I'm trying to make myself get used to it. Sorry if that's TMI for anyone - I know some of us have had these conversations before.

Have a great night!

"...floss up my craw."-BWAHAHAHAHAH! I swear, Cathy, if I had anything in my mouth I would have spit it out from laughing so hard! How funny!:7 :7 :7

Well I got B&G's Leg Blast Premix *barely* finished before the final big crash of thunder when all of the lights went out on me! I swear my life passed before my eyes! I thought I was a goner for sure. It was sooo scarey cause the lightening hit a pole very close to my house. When it hit I actually screamed and went into a defensive position with my hands over my head!   Anywho...once I got over the shock of it I was fine. Thankfully the storm moved away quickly after that and I was able to open windows to a quite pleasant breeze. I did not, however, get to finish the last few reps on the left side of the lunge/squat combo nor did I get the ab work in AND I had to stretch on my own. When DH got home we showered and headed out for an early dinner since we had no power. By the time dinner was done we had power again thankfully but then headed back out for some CABS.

This not so old lady has had it now though and is heading off to bed...how sad...it's not even midnight!:p

See you all in the morning!:)
