RE: Hi Debbie!

Would love to celebrate with you both, but I'm helping out at the school on Friday with a big first grade project.
Are you going to Dairy Queen?
Happy Birthday to you both!!

RE: Hi Debbie!

You have to admit that DQ has the best goodies! Every try their Treatza Pizza?!

Aimee -

I can totally relate to the gallbladder pain since I had mine removed 8 years ago. My gallstone attacks started out mild - like indigestion or heartburn - but became worse and more frequent until I finally had to make a late-night trip to the emergency room. This happened over a period of 2-3 years. I was also mis-diagnosed a couple times until I mentioned to my primary doctor what the emergency room doctor said to me about the possibility of gallstones. He then ordered an ultrasound and wa-la found gallstones!

As far as the pain goes. I don't know if you're still suffering but what worked for me until I could have my operation, was eating a very low-fat diet. (I had a terrible diet at this point in my life which is what caused the gallstones to develop in the first place.) Now I know you just finished your super-strict diet so this won't sound appealing at all but you might want to ask your doctor if this would help.

Hope you are feeling better soon! Take care.

Sue

Hi, everyone! After reading posts from Aimee and Kelly, I want to wish them well and hope everyone else stays healthy and injury-free.

Here's my week:

Sunday - PS-BBA + CTX-10-10-10 (cardio only) + 1.5 mile walk

Monday - PS-CST + CTX-All Step (cardio only) + some step-ups and squats

Tuesday - Mindy's Slammin Sports (warmup & 1st 2 short sections) + 1 mile jog + Step Works segment 1 + miscellaneous cardio, cool down and stretch on my own - total of about 68 minutes cardio. Kind of a weird workout I know, but it's a long story.

Wednesday - PS-SLA

Thursday - Wedding Video cardio (tired and butt sore today because I really pushed the weights with PS-SLA yesterday so needed someting "easier")

Friday - MIS + Tae Kwon Do class with my 6 year old

Saturday - Rest

Next week: Slow and Heavy - Can't Wait!

Aimee..

LAST EDITED ON Nov-12-01 AT 08:24PM (Est)[p]You must have been terrified! You don't fit the profile for gallstones. Does your doctor think your training diet was a factor? I'm wondering if your diet was very low calorie (a risk factor) for you given your activity level. Here's hoping for a rapid recovery.

And congratulations on passing (slamming!) your exam!

(Oops! Just read Erica's post which mentioned the same thing. Didn't mean to nag you about this.)

Heather..

Congratulations on your pregnancy. You will be busy with 2 little ones so close together! Looks like you're feeling pretty darn good from your workouts. All I want after Circuit Max is a shower & a nap.

Do you use a heart rate monitor? It's a good idea to wear one when pregnant so you don't overdo it on high intensity activities like Spinning & Circuit Max. My Spinning instructor is trying to get all of us to do more moderate intensity workouts for fat metabolism anyhow. You'll still burn plenty of calories.

I'm not a Mom, I just sound like one.

RE: Dairy Queen

The forums are ailing! I have been doing a lot of double posting of no posting.

It's a sweet pizza (of course!) with a chocolate cookie crust, soft serve ice cream, and toppings like candy, syrup, etc. Out of this world!

RE: Hi Debbie

Yes, I think it is great that he works out with me too. He is more into the weights aspect of things but we do run and walk too. Whenever you see a walk/run in my checkin, it usually means we worked out together and when you just see a run, I was by myself generally.

I am going to see if I cannot get him into kickboxing but Cardio Kicks may be a bit much at first.

I feel pretty lucky to have such an awesome man. Normal and healthy is all it is cracked up to be - and more!

Kim

That's great, Kim!

Sooo happy for you. I think he's pretty LUCKY too! It's great that you can share a love of fitness together, especially because it's so GOOD for you! You never know, he may just love CardioKicks, but you could try out CTX-Kickbox on him also. It's not quite as intense but still a great workout. Any major runs in your near future? You are amazing. Have fun with your special guy!
