I had a busy week.My in laws are moving to a smaller home, so they are down sizing, my sister went back, friends came home from Ottawa and a crowd of us got together friday night and then we had a pool party on Saturday night. The party finally ended 5:00 in the morning.I tried to go to sleep at 1:00.Me,my husband, and a friend all crowded in the one bed(twin size bed) and fell a sleep but I woke up on the floor at 3:00.Then the people who were still up played the song Mr.Roboto over and over again. There were alot of unhappy people when we all got up.Despite my crazy life style I managed to get some good work outs in.....
Monday: Powerstrike #1

Wedesday: Ran 30 min and power strike
Thursday: Ran for 45 min/abs

I'll rejoin!

Hi Andrea!

Wondered where everyone was. Andrea, it looks like you're feeling better if you took on Power Hour. I've sort of been in your neighborhood - Mammoth Lakes.

It was so nice to look at today's headlines & get some good news - all 9 miners were rescued alive. Then I checked the web to confirm that Lance Armstrong had wrapped up his 4th Tour de France win. After a run, blueberry pancakes. Great morning!

My week:

Mon (last day of vacation): Hike w/ DH in Sierra Nevadas (about 10 miles above 10,000')

Tues: mostly rest but since I hadn't seen a weight other than my pack for a week: S&H C&B

Wed: bike 21 miles (rolling); S&H Tri & Bi

Thu: run 70 min w/ DH (my long run - his intermediate); S&H legs & shoulders; Balance Ball workout (stretch & abs)

Fri: rest

Sat: Hike w/ DH (brutal climb to Mt. Baldy 10,064' - elevation gain of 3800' over 5 miles. I don't remember climbing anything that steep without rock "steps". We also missed the turn off for the trail & got a lot of teasing from all the hiker groups we passed twice on the ascent.)

Sun: trot 27.5 min w/ hounds; misnamed Yoga for Fat Loss (feel like a goddess when I do this DVD)

Husband & I have a trail permit for Mt. Whitney in September. The big training challenge is his altitude sickness. He needs about 24 hours to adjust. He's not just slow & winded, he's miserable. Doesn't drink/eat caffeine, rarely drinks alcohol, eats well, drinks lots of H20. Anyhow, yesterday's hike knocked him out. I can't take long breaks without my ACL impaired knee cramping up, so I kept on moving yesterday. He was apparently tempted to turn around, take the truck home, change the locks & call our friend who practices family law (divorce). We're going to try lower elevation but steeper climbs. Looks like Mt. Wilson (above Pasadena's Rose Bowl) is going to be our training ground.

Have a great week everyone!

RE: I'll rejoin!

Well, I'm here too, but its really looking like another puny check in week for this forum! I wish people would start posting consistently again--it really is so motivating, and fun to see what other people do. Thanks to everyone who de-lurked last week. I hope you'll do so again today!
Here's my week"

MONDAY: rest (ended up doing inner and outer thigh work, planks and abs in front of the t.v)

TUESDAY: S&H bis and tris

WEDNESDAY: CIA 9905 step + own abs

THURSDAY: S&H chest and stretch

FRIDAY: Kicked Up Step (incl. abs but not strength work)

SATURDAY: 9801 step :)

SUNDAY: PS: back, shoulders, legs, and abs

I want to suggest the VF exchange to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. I got 9905 and Kicked Up Step this week, and really enjoyed both, and got rid of tapes I never use! What a great deal :)
Have a great week, everyone!

RE: I'll rejoin!

Hey guys!

I'm doing somewhat of a non cathe routine these weeks.... Been doing my own lifting - based OF COURSE on what I learned from my cathe tapes - and while the weather is nice running.

Last week I didnt write things down past Sunday - oops - must be summertime! I really happy after winter/spring of CTX - circuit max/cardio kick - I feel a lot better running! YIPPEE... ran 4 miles last sunday and felt great... use to be 3 was my limit.

This week I will write things down!

Have a great week all!

Glad to "see" you all!

I also like to see what everyone is doing during the week. Gives me ideas.

Debra-Welcome back! I've missed you. Sounds like you had a great vacation :) 70 minute run...:-wow

Wendy-I'll have to go check the exchange again. I haven't had any luck there in a loooong time!

Robyn-Congrats on the 4 miles. Going from 3 to 4 miles was tough for me too.

Lori-Great workouts for all the partying :)

RE: Glad to "see" you all!

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I have been negligent in posting. My weeks have just been sooooo busy...but enough excuses. We have had a bathroom project going so my workouts suffered last week. We FINALLY got the tub/shower in and now I have to decide how I want to paint the walls and pick out some flooring and few other things.

MONDAY: Put the tub/shower in. Yuck!!

TUESDAY: Nothing

WEDNESDAY: 1 hour yardwork

THURSDAY: Upper body at the gym
15 minute stretch

FRIDAY: Nothing

SATURDAY: Step This Way--1st section
15 minute stretch

So, you can see the week was fairly pathetic but I hope to get back in the groove this week!!!!! I will try to do better with my checkins; however pitiful they might be.
