I just finished the last workout of the week and was anxious to check in... :)

This has been a good week in terms of exercise and I have felt great. Unfortunately feeling GREAT is not the norm for me. I normally feel kind of sluggish and only have about 3 or 4 days out of a month that I feel absolutely wonderful!! Anyway, here is my week...

MONDAY: PS-BBA

TUESDAY: Step Heaven (1st and 2nd sections) AND Dynamic Stretch
(2nd section)

WEDNESDAY: PS-CST AND Dynamic Stretch ( 3rd section)

THURSDAY: Stepfit but only about half because of a phone
interruption. Oh well, life happens!

FRIDAY: PS-SLA

SATURDAY: Step Heaven. I am determined to get these steps. I have almost mastered it but not quite.

It has been a fun week and hope next week is just as good. I bought new workout clothes and that always helps to inspire me a little. I am just absolutely itching to buy new videos but am trying to hold off because I have bought so many lately. Oh well, I'm sure how much longer I can wait. It's a sickness!!!!!

I DID IT!!!!!!!

Jacob Allen Henry was born a week early on the 20th. He weighed 6 lbs 15 oz. and was 19 1/2" long. He is absolutely perfect. What a workout that was! And what a wonderful experience! I was pretty much out cold for my first so this was great to see how childbirth really is. I'm still feeling a little weak, and hoping to get some energy back soon. Nursing must take it out of you cause he is quite an easy baby. I think I need to eat a little more than I have been too. Anyway, when I get back into the swing of things I'll be checking in again. Can't wait to do a CTX rotation!

Kelly--what a great week :) :) congratulations on: such great workouts, almost mastering Step Heaven (I'm thinking of buying it myself), and on feeling so good this week. Hope that feeling lasts!

Andrea--yay!!!!!!

My week included one great workout day and 6 days of rest to recuperate from a pulled back muscle :-( :-( :-(. As I sit here with a heating pad on my stomach for cramps, I am almost grateful for the back injury, which gives me a good excuse to just lay here! Usually I workout through the cramps, but this time I'm milking it :)
Here's my week:

MONDAY: PS back (way too heavy!) + CTX chest + Imax
TUESDAY-SUNDAY: healing time

I'M feeling almost 100%, so Monday I'll start the rotation I was trying to start this past week.

Kelly-isn't Step Heaven awesome?!? That workout is guaranteed to but a smile on my face and make me feel like I'm just dancing away-course part of that feeling is because you're so DIZZY from all of those turns :D
Wendyloo-Glad to hear you're feeling a little better-take it from someone who just experienced the same thing just a few weeks ago...rest is the BEST TONIC!!! Work back up gradually! Sorry to hear it's a double whammy though :-(
Anyway-onto my week...decided to try the Firm 1-2-3 rotation (started late in the week)
Sun-yoga
Mon-nada
Tues-v1
Wed-v2 with CTX kickbox
Thurs-v3 with 30 min. on elliptical
Fri-breakthru cardio and the pilates type thingy at the end
Sat-hoping to get to 2K02 yet...was a crazy day at the office, lots of sick little kids and dehydrated elders...but I'll geter done!
gonna start the 1-2-3-rest & repeat rotation this week

Little Jacob has a wonderful example of a mommy! Your determination to continue your fitness routine during your pregnancy was inspiring. Take it easy while you get your strength back and get Jacob comfy is his new surroundings.

Have fun with the CTX (plank work, Meaner Legs and Crazy 8's, remember?).

Congratulation Andrea!! You and Trevor both must be on cloud nine with your all's new bundles of joy!! I have two close friend who both just found out they are pregnant. Their due dates are within weeks of each other!! What a month! Ok, I just finished working out and I am in need of a long hot bath, so I'm just going to jump right in and post my week!

MON: YOGA, PS CST, and CARDIO KICKS

TUES: POWER YOGA, and STEP FIT

WED: YOGA ZONE TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING, WALK 45MIN, and BODYPUMP

THURS: YZ YOGA FOR WEIGHT LOSS, and STEP WORKS

FRI: YOGA, PS BBA, and CXT KICKBOX

SAT: YZ YOGA FOR WEIGHTLOSS, and PS SLA

SUN: AN ALL YOGA DAY ONE IN A.M. and ONE IN P.M.

No check-in for me. I got injured roller skating today and fractured my tailbone and wrist - too hard to type. I'm headed to "ask Cathe" so I can ask questions on what I can do and what to expect. I am totally bummed right now

Erica, sorry to hear of your injury!! And, congratualtions, Andrea and Trevor on the safe and well birth of your sons.

I did not travel out of town this week, except for a short overnight to Indianapolis so i had time for the following:
Mon : CF Step heat
Tue: Firm Time Crunch
Wed: Reebok Power Step
Thurs: Target Precision toning
Fri: Firm Vol 3 Lo Impact
Sat: Aaron Lankford Power kicks and Voight Core Essentials
Sun; Vol 6 Leaner legs (CF), of course. It is supposed to be 30 degrees and sunny in Chicago tomorrow, so I intend to go to the barn and play with my horse, too!! (Hope!!)

Congratulations!!!!! The most amazing thing in the world to me is the birth of a child. My son was anxious to get here also (he is almost 2) and was born 10 days early. He still weighed 8 lbs and 4 oz and was 20 3/4". Soooo, I am glad he came a little early. Hope you are feeling strong real soon. Right now just enjoy the little one because it goes by so fast!

Hi everyone!

I'm usually a lurker, but I thought I'd jump in and post. I had an enjoyable week...I ordered and just received 5 of Cathe's older step tapes. I LOVE THEM. The choreography is fun, and I have two left feet. I feel great when I get thru her tapes. They are challenging and boy, does time fly when you are concentrating so hard on the moves!

Sunday: BBA, CST, and Powermax
Monday: StepMax
Tuesday: Step Heat
Wednesday: MIS
Thursday: Rest
Friday: Step Jam and abs from SLA
Saturday: Rest

Checking In

Hi Everyone! I had a great week. Got my five new (older) Cathe videos this week: PS Series, Step Heat and the Wedding Video. I LOVE them all! Now I have all the Cathe tapes and DVD's.

Kelly: I just love Step Heaven (and Stepping Zone). Don't know when I'll ever do them again cuz of all the Cathe tapes I have!

Andrea: Congrats! Baby's are such miracles!

Wendy: I know the feeling of overdoing! I kind of have a problem with that--then really pay for it later!

Julie: I thought about doing the Firm 123 Rotation, but just couldn't give up Cathe! I maybe will do a Cathe/Firm rotation some time. I had all the Firm tapes already when I discovered Cathe. Now it's been months and months since I've done one.

Aimee: Sure wish I could be as disciplined at doing Yoga as you!

Erica: Sorry about your injuries! Hope you recover quick!

Murph: Looks like you had a great week!

Veronica: I just love all the older Cathe tapes, too. And the newer ones! Guess I'm addicted to Cathe!

Here's my week:

MONDAY: Circuit Max (I love this workout!)

TUESDAY: Step Jam

WEDNESDAY: Power circuit sections and 10-10-10 sections with upper body split for a circuit type workout. Including planks and abs. 97 minutes! My upper body felt like lead when I was done!

THURSDAY: Leaner Legs and Step Heat. (Omitted the abs on both;didn't have time!) I love Step Heat! My legs felt like lead when I finished!

FRIDAY: Kundalini Yoga (Still don't know if I like this tape, very different type of yoga, maybe one more try) I needed a slower day after Wednesday and Thursday!

SATURDAY: The Wedding Video--I did both parts cuz I had a lot of time. I expected the strength part to be easy; it wasn't! I really liked it!

Erica - So sorry to hear of your injury. A friend of mine also fractured her tailbone recently while sledding. It sure sounds painful and the recovery long. I guess the good side is that your injury was not in the spinal column.

Aimee - You seem to always have a good week. I haven't bought that Yoga tape yet. Maybe this week.

Veronica - Welcome. It is fun to check in and see what everyone is doing.

Bev - I agree it is fun to do some of the old tapes. I think the clothes are a riot too.

Well, I had a good week too. Here it is:

Mon. - Stepworks with abs from CTX tape
Tues - PS chest/shoulders/tris with a 30 min treadmill cardio
Wed. - Cathe's treadmill workout. 72 minutes with some abs
Thurs. - PS back/biceps/abs with cardio from kickbox
Fri. - PS legs and abs
Sat. - MIC with abs from CTX All Step

I am going to give this rotation a few more weeks and see if I see any leg definition improvement. I have a 3 week rotating rotation trying to focus on the legs. This coming week is a little tougher with IMAX and Cardio Kicks.

Andrea---congrats again on little Jacob. Babies are such a miracle!!
Erica -- OUCH!! I hope you get better quickly with a little rest. Your injury reminded me of what I had done a few weeks back while rollerblading. I was trying to go backwards kinda fast and just fell right straight down on my butt. Quite painful but no broken bones. I'm sorry you werent so lucky but just follow the doctors orders and you'll be back better than ever before you know it! :)
My week is ok I guess. I am really struggling with working out right now. Brandon only allows perhaps 3-4 hours of sleep at a time so I am very sluggish. And my poor wife feels like a milk machine right now I think!! Still, we wouldnt give it up for anything! The other day I walked into the room where Michelle and Brandon were sleeping........he had just awakened and actually smiled when he saw me!! I almost cried a little!! So precious!!
Here's my week:
Mon. -- PS chest tris shoulders
Tues. -- Bodymax....just cardio
Wed. -- nada
Thurs. -- a modified 30 min. workout I did on the fly......included LOTS of lunges
Fri. -- lunges with the db off of the step.......6 sets really focusing on the butt
Sat. -- blading with my son
Sun. -- nada except for ab section of Bodymax
Super Bowl is tonight so I expect to eat alot of naughty things. I am rooting for the Ravens.........which is tough since I live and die with the Steelers. Can't stand the thought of a year of New Yawkers bragging about winning the World Series AND Super Bowl. Course, I believe the Giants play in Jersey...........what's up with that?? :)

What wonderful news! Take good care of yourself and that sweet little guy! Don't rush TOO quickly into CTX! :) Even the thought of some of that plyo stuff too soon after childbirth makes me cringe. :) I think my uterus would fall out ( at least it would feel like it was about too. ;-) )! Congratulations again, and welcome to little Jacob!

Quickie check-in

It's the 3rd BD party for the 3rd consecutive weekend today ( and the last of my 3 Jan. babies, so this is IT! :) ). so I don't have time to individually address people, but I'm so sorry to hear about the people struggling with injuries! Other than those, though, you all did your usual incredible jobs!!!
Here's my week:

Monday: Classic Step with Kari and Jay I was pretty sore after my Super Sculpting/CTX Kickbox combo the day before, so this was a nice, intermediate level workout that was fun and got me up and moving before my muscles turned to stone. :)

Tuesday: Classic Step followed by PS BBA. CS is a new one, so I wanted to solidify my "mastery" of the choreography.

Wednesday: REST Went to pick up the new treadmill -- YEAH!!! :)

Thursday: Tae Bo Live Basic 4, 2 miles on the treadmill plus 5" cooldown.

Friday: Trying to catch up with my PS rotation SO, I did PS Legs and Abs in the AM, then in the PM I did PS CST followed by 3 miles on the treadmill,including my warm-up and cool-down.

Saturday: CIA 9806 ( has a nice abs section at the end )

Sunday: CTX Kickboxing and 1/2 Super Sculpting -- ran out of time so I couldn't finish, but I LOVE this combo!! :)

This is my first check in. I keep track in a book but I thought I might as well put it down here too. You guys make me tired just reading your posts on what you do :-tired. Here's what I did.

Mon. Hi Lo heaven parts 1 & 2

Tues. PS legs & abs....that's all I can do

Wed. None

Thurs. Weight Loss Workout...Kathy Smith...haven't done this one in a while and now it seems very repetitive. I guess I like a little more dancy choreography.

Fri. PS chest, shoulders & tris....& CIA 5004 step & hi lo

Sat. Hike in the snow for about 1 hour or so

Sun. PS back, biceps & abs....I tried a cardio tape by someone I won't name because I didn't like it much and went right to Pure and Simple Stretch

I have ordered Imax and the Wedding tape so I'm looking forward to adding them in :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy
