Cheat days

I don't have any "assigned" cheat days. If I want something I will usually just eat it (there is nothing that is OFF LIMITS) but the key for me is moderation. Most of my diet is made up of healthy foods so when the time comes that I want to INDULGE, I usually won't beat myself up for it unless I feel I've gone overboard...
which, let's face it, we all have done at SOME point!;-)

I don't have assigned cheat days either, although on the weekends I am more inclined to "cheat" (well, except this week, apparently!).

I don't go overboard, but if I want something, I'll have it.

I like to think of cheat days when I workout. ;-) Anything that is going to push me to the next level without risk of injury. I can be very creative.

I have 2 cheat days per week ....they are not free for all's though. On one cheat day, I have a DQ treat like a sundae and on the other cheat day, I have something like Cinnamon Twists from Taco Bell. Although, I have a wicked sweet tooth, and as much as I know how bad sugar is, I have to allow myself a couple caramel creams a day. Life wouldn't be fun without them. I just make sure I don't go overboard.
 
I don't have a specific cheat day. I just eat healthy most of the time, and when I feel like having something more "sinful", I have it. This week was not good for me, since I made Shelley's Evil Cookies on Sunday and like 5 dozen of those staring at me all week long - of course I had to eat some every day! But DH and I have finally finished them off, so I can get back to my usual routine. (That is, NOT eating 6 cookies a day.)
 
i dont have sepcific cheat days either but I do really good all week. On the weekends by bf is around so we eat pizza with our movies or go to a restaurant and he likes to cook so he makes a homecooked meal on sundays. Then I start all over again on monday eating good
 
I don't really have cheat days. I eat cake when I go to parties, I eat chocolate a few times a week, but in moderation. I make sure everyday that I get plenty of good food. The only thing that is COMPLETELY off limits are potato chips and all those other fried things like fries, fritos, etc. They are SO bad for you! When you eat them, your fingers get all greasy. Just imagine what it is doing to your arteries!:eek: Ick! I am such a fried food snob!

God, Missy! I must bow down to you! I LOVE LOVE LOVE fried foods! How you avoid them entirely I'll never know! I'm not huge on the chips and can avoid them pretty easily but I love breaded and fried chicken and fish, etc...When I make it at home though I use olive oil to take away atleast some of the "sin" in it.:p

I live right by a boardwalk on the jersey shore....my summers are filled with the temptations of ZEPPOLI, FUNNEL CAKES and any other nasty greasy fried boardwalk treats one can think of! }( }( }(

Yes, free for all. I eat what I feel like eating. I do BFL. It is one of the main reasons I can eat clean during the week.

Mine are usually Sundays, sometimes Saturdays depending who & when I can get a free meal. :) My cheat days are definitely free for all, in the sense that I pig out at every meal, but I do plan my menu ahead of time, mostly b/c I look forward to it all week so I think, or maybe fantasize is a better word, a lot about what I'll have.
 
My mom is the director of the cath lab, and I used to go to work with her. All of the patients there had only two things in common:
1. They smoked or
2. They eat high saturated fat foods.
I am traumatized! That left such an impression on me when I was a kid! Of course I still smoked when I was a rebelling teenager, I was invincible, but fried food scares me now, it is the ememy!
 
I have them but still try to keep my calories in check. Right now I am thinking of having a cheat weekend!

I have 1 1/2 cheat days. On Saturday I eat anything and everything. Either Tuesday or Wednesday, I eat clean until after my third of sixth meals. I started with just the one day when I did BFL. Then, decided, I made good progress and would add the extra half day to see what happens. I'm still making gains.
The main reason I did BFL was to start to eat right. I can not have one cookie/brownie/chip/pretzel/slice of cheese/chocolate, I keep eating once I start. So far I can eat clean 5 1/2 days to basically pig out without guilt.
 
I am pretty laid back on the weekends about eating clean. Weekends are when I am the busiest with parties,shopping friends and family. For the most part I eat pretty good, but if I am out I usually order whatever I want. I never get dessert unless we specifically go out for ice cream. If I am at the movies I will order buttery popcorn & peanut M&M's..I can't resist that stuff:) I eat very clean and work out very hard all week, so I don't beat myself up about it. I am a believer in everything in moderation!

Sundays...I wouldn't exactly call it a cheat day, but I do eat more than usual and almost always have dessert after Sunday dinner.
