Hello Everyone,

Hope all is well. I thought there was something very eerie going on today because I saw masses of butterflies, I mean thousands, flying all over, and it turns out that the monarch butterflies are going south to Mexico. It was like something out of Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax", the swomee swans flying away!:D

Well I did Muscle Endurance today, and really enjoyed it, I didn't use even a fraction of the weight that Cathe did, but it still worked, although now I'm thinking I should have gone heavier, because I don't feel sore. I also didn't use a high step since I don't have one, and using both sets of risers on my club step seemed to be OK. Does anyone have a high step and think it's worth it?

I still haven't found my resistance band, but I am going to look in my daughter's room in the back of the closet, she is like a raccoon.

I did clean eating, but when I got home, I couldn't face what I had planned, so I made sugar free low carb pancakes with strawberries, but I used a cup of mix and two eggs thinking I was going to make some for my kids, but they wouldn't eat them because they had strawberries in them, so I ate them myself, with sugar free syrup and BUTTER- badbadbad. It was good though. Maybe that will be the "zig" portion of my "zag" Tomorrow, I am not sure what's on the calendar, but some sore of cardio, I hope it's step. No calipers in the mail today.

Hurrican Ike is supposed to hit the Gulf Coast next week, and everyone is preparing for the worst, it's even supposed to come as far north as we are, so we'll see how that goes.

Hope everyone had a good day- I am trying not to post in the AM so I can get on the road earlier,

Take care everyone,

Lisa

I saw butterflies today too

Hey Everybody!

It was a good morning. I did an old hi-low tape from Buns of Steel, just cardio. At 5:10 am. Then I drove my mother to work. Overall a fun day, went to a free lecture about pediatric sleep apnea and neurology. Then did some shopping for Mom. Didn't find anything. Got two more sets of plastic drawers to organize my gear. It looks good and like organizational success may be just around the corner. I spent some time at the bookstore reading about nutrition and bio-availability of fermented and pickled foods. I got a stretch dvd from Karen Voight in my netflix and plan to do that this evening before bed. After the new episode of Eureka. Today I felt like for the first time in a while that I may achieve all of my personal goals, true financial independence, professional confidence and physical health. I had crepes for lunch (crab/spinach and half a chocolate one with fresh raspberries.) and a peach for dinner. I had my normal egg and banana for breakfast. Overall just fine. I had an unsweetened iced tea in the afternoon as I read.

My reading informed me that caffeine forces the liver to release/make sugar. Which is how it keeps you stimulated and or awake. Wow. Thats a revelation. The sleep specialist (a neurologist specializing in pediatric sleep disorders.) confirmed that. The only two things that keep you awake are sugar and caffeine. Wow. AND!!!! Sleep apnea causes type two diabetes. I don't have that (at least, I don't think I do?) but I know someone who does. My brother. I hope he listens.

Hi ladies, I went to the grocery store today so hopefully will be better prepared for a while. I managed to eat pretty good (by the ratio and calories), but somehow managed to eat no non-starchy veggies today. Did get two servings of fruit in. I plan on doing much better tomorrow.

I did Angie Miller's Strength and Core Fusion today for the first time - pretty tough! My calipers aren't in yet, but I also ordered the Troy Light barbell and am excited that it should be here soon!

Have a good night!
